• Mathew (9/5): Best value for money motel in palmy - Great value Very warm and comfortable
• Heidi. L. (6/5): Short stay in Palmy - Spacious bed space, and privacy. Good that there was a microwave and kitchenware to use for meals/drinks The 2 in 1 heat pump/ aircon was also appreciated. It was self check-in, we didn't see any staff, which is okay. Central location to shops and takeout Bed covering wasn't smelling good, like it hadn't been washed in months - only the sheet and pillowcase smelled clean. But then again hotels/motels don't bother to wash those anyway 🙃 The carpet didn't seem that clean either. Shower curtain could use replacement too, or maybe a glass door is easier to maintain. Guests, be aware that if your unit is close to the pool area, it won't be as quiet and peaceful - if that's what you prefer. Otherwise it was an okay stay.

At a pinch you’d consi - The location is a plus - walking distance to the CBD It’s pretty dated, gaffer tape to hold down Lino in the bathroom. The electrical boxes on the wall were coming away. Didn’t know how to operate the heat with no instructions. Staff not always on site.

Great kitchen facilities including microwave. Good size fridge with freezer box. All eating utensils and crockery and glassware hig quality. Parking outside room. Less than 5 minutes walk to plaza, supermarket and central.business district. Walking distance to esplanade gardens and park with so many facilities Beautifu.trree lined short and long walks with some leading to the river. Cafe and plenty of childrens play areas, cafe and other viewing and participation facilities, for adults and or children. Owner is very nice and helpful.

• Damian (8/5): Palmerston North Motel very good place to stay - It's was a good size for a little room, had all I needed the bathroom was good and tidy. And it was nice and quiet to stay in I was very happy. The room was good but the bed was a little hard could do with a softer mattress, and I didn't get a little bottle of milk or that for my coffee and tea or chocolate drink, that I think I should of got, and something to cook on would of been nice ever those my stay was short, but other than that it was fine room to stay in at that price I was very happy.

• Margaret (7/5): The unit suited my purpose, as I was spending most of my time at the Library, which I could walk to. - The motel is within walking distance of the Square. (I use a walking stick) Units are spacious, Bed was excellant. Units are dated, and quite dark.

• Margaret (4/5): Clean and tidy, but dated and damaged. Needs repair. Not a terribly bad stay though. - The unit was clean and tidy. Great shower pressure. Noticed a new shower head. Very roomy and light in lounge and bedroom. Lots of room for my son to visit. Great location being close to town - only a short walk. Big crack in wall in bedroom near door. Should be repaired as looks bad. Cabinet in bathroom is damaged and should be replaced, even a second-hand one would do as long as it is passable. Shower curtain is very old and too short. Water leaks out the bottom on to the floor. A lighter colour or clear plastic would be good as the dark colour blocks out any light. Lastly, there wasn't any milk left for tea/coffee. Unless it is a new policy that the motel doesn't supply this now, I don't know, but nothing was mentioned. Disappointing. It would be a great stay otherwise.

• Dickens (4/5): Yuck! - Had a actual fridge and freezer. The room - it looked old and needs some diy. Curtains were old and flimsy, the door lock needs replacing - had to pretty much slam it so it would lock, the heater didn't heat, power points by the bed and sofa are all in the wrong places, especially for charging phones. Just no love. And the owner was rude too. I had my truck, 2 minutes after arriving - some woman comes out the office, no mention of name or who she was..." you cant park there, you didnt mention it when you booked, I've got a car with a caravan coming tonight, and I've got a plan for how its gonna work...you park can park here, dont hit my gutters. Thank you" and wonders back into the office and slams the door. ( I had 3 nights here; no caravan at all )

Very comfortable with my family there and close to the plaza, paknsave The room was a tad dirty, skirting boards, floors, under the beds. That could just be me having a cleaning business

Dated facility, but within expectations for the price point. Spa and pool area not very inviting. Ladder to pool was very loose. No air conditioning in the room, made for a very hot sleep on a muggy night.

Lady in office said she hadn't put any in room as it was to far to walk. There was a blob of dried up snot on one comforter. Told lady she said why would they put it on it, and said would I do it. Pretty much brushed me off. Swimming pool was dirty. Was going to ask for a refund and leave but our plans changed and ended up we were only going to be in it to sleep 1 night.

• Teresa (3/5): Ok, comfortable enough pet friendly I have a cat - Location is great, was a pet friendly motel, bed comfy , ,but i had all my own linen, pillows and blankets, which I made on top of their made bed. Cleanliness of whole room was very poorly clean , ants in room, only 1 pot was supplied in full kitchen, and the room smelt funny was when 1st arrived, had to go buy air freshener sanitizer to get rid of the smell. You can't tell me that the owner/manager or the cleaner can't smell the terrible odor when entering the room

• Mark (5/5): For the price it was ok but with a bit of TLC could have been a much nicer experience - Price was good, location was good and the room was clean and spacious Pile of rubbish by our entrance door and had to walk through a pile of leaves to get into our room. Wifi password wasn’t left in the room so reception texted it to me but spelt it wrong. Rubbish also dumped at the front of the motel made it look neglected

Nothing was set up for pets nor guests not out door seating the unit was dirty smells not hot water.we stayed Xmas day2nights after there was no room service so ment 1bath room towel the whole stay no staff or office staff nowhere posted for rubbish,.

• Bridie (9/5): Very enjoyable stay with great facilities for your dog and excellent location - Great value for money, excellent location, very quiet even with neighbours. and very comfortable beds and there dog facilities are excellent. No shelf in shower to rest soap, flannel and razor. However there is liquid soap available.

• Cotter (8/5): - The motel close enough to the town center, so your able to walk into town. About a 5min walk to paknsave. The room was tidy and very accommodating. Only thing that was disappointing was the room could've been cleaner. Had cobwebs and a few spiders hiding out in the bathroom. A couple of walls needed a wipe down other than that a good stay.
• Yung (6/5): It was suitable for last minute, one night stay. - Great location. Unit looked very tidy and clean. A plastic clip off someones razor was left in shower soap tray, used tissue left in bedside drawer. Panel heater was left on for us by the owner which was appreciated, however it was a cold unit. Portable fan heater was not working. We did use the extra blankets provided, but still unit was so cold.

• Nikki (3/5): Disappointed - Convenience of location Staff denied knowing of my booking, made prior to 4pm on the day. I was delayed in arrival, my fault, but since they denied my booking made no difference. Did not answer my calls, only answered when they were called on a private number. Blamed everything on fault with the BOOKING SITE communication, made no effort to apologize when was found to be their fault.
