Guest Reviews
- Brenda (10/5): - Property had several amenities my family was able to enjoy. The cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials. Will stay here again.
- Stuart (8/5): - Loved the cleanliness of the cabin and being next to the pond. Pools and spas were nice but closed right before 9. We stayed during a heatwave and enjoyed the two ACs that came in the cabin. Appreciated daily text of crafts and updates from the park. Stater bros located a short distance away. Overall nice stay. Would visit again.
- yekaterina (10/5): Fun Friendly place - The people are very friendly, kind and on the weekends the manger send out texts that an event is happening! Lots of fun, playground, country store so much to explore. I would go back !
- KRISTA (10/5): - Fishing creeks were clean and very natural looking. Even saw an Egret/Blue Heron snagging some fish to eat!
- Sheila (10/5): - The cabin we rented had everything we needed for a 1 week stay. The only thing I did not like was the dispensers for the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and dish detergent did not work. I guess that's one way to save money! The detergent dispenser for dish soap is mounted in the strangest place. The soap goes onto the lip of the countertop because there's not enough room to place your hand under it. Very strange. Small inconvenience!
- Cynthia (8/5): - Cute cabin but a bit small.
- Luke (8/5): Not a hotel but still a nice place. - I initially booked this place thinking it was a hotel, but it turned out to be more of a campground. However, the small cabin we stayed in was delightful, and my family had a wonderful time. While there isn’t daily maid service, we didn’t mind, as it felt like having our own little retreat. The setting was peaceful and tranquil, which we truly appreciated. My only concern was the occasional disturbance caused by a few inconsiderate guests with loud exhausts and blasting stereos, which disrupted the otherwise serene atmosphere. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.
- James D (10/5): - Had a great stay. Nice and tidy, with fun activities.
- Donna (10/5): Disappointed - We enjoyed the cabin, it was clean and nice. Our cabin was changed the day before because the cabin we picked the people that were there wanted to extend thier stay ,so I was asked if I minded taking another cabin, just like that one but just two down. We purchased our fishing permit to go fishing. We were fishing in an open site & a man in a camper came out yelling @ my grandson because he walked behind their camper, there was an argument & I called the Ranger station. They came & informed us we could fish where we were , but we could not even walk behind the campers. When places like this has people that are permanent residents they tend to get protective ,when others come in.Then again we met another camper & they were totally opposite. They were friendly and offered my grand kids a chair. I feel is was a Race issue. I know they can not control the people that live there but maybe need some better rules. We rented a cabin for 3 days. We should have had rights to walk along the bank of the water. Also I feel they need to make the fishing more accessible. Overall the stay was good. I don't believe I would like to come again.
- Monique (10/5): Very much so recommend this camp ground - We go here yearly for Halloween and its a great experience. Only issue was alot of pet hair on the floor and couch and my son is allergic dogs. We asked specifically for a pet free cabin. But i do understand thats out of there control. He was fine just eyes swollen a litte . But other than that i love this camp site. Great for family time. Always.
- Corinna (10/5): - The property is so peaceful and relaxing. Great place to get away from the stress of life.
- Precision (8/5): - Great stay
- Tammy (10/5): - We had a great stay, only thing I would have changed is to have WIFI in the rooms
- Patrisia (10/5): - My family and I enjoyed a quiet get away from Los Angeles County. Love the fact that you can have visitors, while being calm and quiet.
- Tara (8/5): - We stayed in a cabin, and enjoyed our stay! It was very comfortable for us and worked out perfectly. Our son enjoyed the pool three times too!
- Sherise (2/5): - It was a vz unsafe environment there was a lot of racism with the staff and the guests my tires and my family members tires were slash an we made an report to the management it was horrible I feel they need to refund
- Tonya (10/5): - Amazing time!! Lots to do on site and off. Clean cabins with lots of space. Friendly staff that were helpful and kept in communication about events happening during our stay. We are definitely coming back.
- Christine (10/5): Family Time - It was a cute little cabin, plenty of room for 3 of us. It had a stove, fridge, microwave, pots pans, dinnerware utensils, convenience store, everything you need for a nice stay. It was very comfortable great views & location. Lots of things to do. We went to enjoy 80s disco night, it was loads of fun! Will definitely be staying here again.
- Ana (10/5): - Loved the cabin. My kids enjoyed the stay and the area we would be staying here again on our next trip. Staff was friendly and made it and easy fast check in and check out.
- Laura (10/5): - We loved everything. We there for a week and we will definitely come back.
- Sindy (10/5): - Cozy and cute cabin. Plenty of space for a family. Can’t wait to go back
- Lavarus (8/5): - Please stock the lake for fathers on Father’s Day I would have appreciated if I caught some fish on Father’s Day
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fun place - Our second stay there. We will come again. Nice cabin.
- Kristina (10/5): - It was nice comfortable and clean. We had a fun family vacation.
- Judson (10/5): - It was a nice place for a family getaway.
- Todd (10/5): I’d go back! - I loved this place! The cabin was adorable and everything was clean and well kept. The park was gorgeous. And the people were friendly and helpful.
- Jose (10/5): - It was a good time to get away from everything
- evelyn (10/5): - I love going to Wilderness Lakes. Its so peaceful and just minutes away from shopping
- Susana (8/5): Quaint stay - I truly enjoyed my stay here. The staff answered all of my questions, even called me after I emailed a concern.
The cottage was clean and comfortable. The only thing was a faint smell of urine in the bedroom. Maybe it came from outside because there are pets all around but I could not tell where it came from. The bedroom itself and the bed was very clean so it was weird.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Weekend Stay - We stayed in a cabin for the weekend with our pup. We had the best time, cabins were well maintained and included fans and A/C which was great. The place shows it’s age for sure but so many activities it’s great for everyone, 2 pools and a few spas. Board games, craft fair, karaoke, bingo. Nice little store for things you might need but honestly the stores and not far of a drive if you forgot something major that they didn’t carry. This is my new go to when visiting friends. only thing is no wood burning fires.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Loved the number of amenities... however, everything was so run down and the activities were a bit stodgy. The pool was exceptional, as was the cabin we stayed in. Could use a bit more shade in pool area.
- Kathy (10/5): - Second time staying here. Cabins are clean and staff was awesome. The negative was several families that were together, seemed to have taken over the cabin side of the park. Kids in the street, loud far after 10:00. Took over the pool with no adult supervision. A little frustrating that the rules were not followed by all.
- Michelle (8/5): Bringing in the new year - We love going to this resort we go about three times a year the only thing that was different this time when we booked our cabin we didn’t know that we needed to state that we didn’t want handicap and when we were there the cabin was for handicap so it didn’t have a stove it had hot plates also it had a ramp where we couldn’t be outside on the patio clean as it’s always clean there they always have the cabins really nice and clean I was also didn’t have a barbecue pit so we had to call in order for barbecuer because each time we go we always have a cabin that has a barbecue but they were on top of it the minute we called they brought it down within 10 minutes but future now we know when we order a cabin that we need to let them know we don’t want handicap because we like to sit out on the porch watch people fish but other than that our three day trip was beautiful beautiful we also went and enjoyed bringing in the New Year’s there in one of the recreation rooms with the DJ it was really nice
- Courtney (10/5): Friendly easy check-In with clean cabins - I stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin which was very clean. The rv resort offers pools, gym and a general store. Overall a very convenient stay and the grounds are well kept.
- evelyn (10/5): - This trip was so relaxing and enjoyable for my family. I will defiantly be coming back
- Alexis (10/5): - Love everything about this place! We will be definitely be back (:
- Russell (10/5): - Lori has a tough job as events coordinator she always was very sweet with my kiddos and want to thank her for making our stay magnificent. The morning we we're checking out my daughter was sick 😫 🤒, the Ranger station and director of housekeeping were accommodating they let us stay a couple hours longer letting my daughter cool off and sleep.
Thank you sooooo much for a great stay in you're clean, well maintained cabin.
Will be back!!!
Hartley family 👪 ❤ 💙 ♥
- Karen (10/5): Road trip to see Grandma - It was just MARVELOUS!
My son and I loved everything about our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazingly clean, spacious, and open outdoors area!
All over a wonderful experience! Didn’t want to leave!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No fishing due to water fungus. Very noisy at night with people coming and going.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 2 pools 3 hot tubs, games and activities. A small lake. Only some of the games were available, the pool and hot tubs opened later than told and closed earlier than told. Was told lake fishing, they had none. They Killed all there fish w a propane leak into the lake, which smelled and looked awful. The store tbey said they had, was closed and broken. Roof caved in, not fixed. The Bfast service they raved about, not happening, it was a walk up menu w lol 1 item. Over priced this place for what they actially DON'T offer. Unfortunate...not a good place rt now
- ronnette (6/5): - the cabin itself was clean and nice one if the bathroom light were out above mirror. overall was good. the only negative is the little lakes are all green and smelled rotten so you could smell it all night inside too with the air cond on alot if geese with litle babies was cute though! other than that pretty good though overall price was too much though
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Older park rustic setting. Great clean accommodations
- Oleksandra (10/5): Great place for a family stay during Covid - We do love this place very much. Because we tired to be at home and staying in this cabin was a small adventure. The cabin is awesome - they have everything for a great stay - micro oven, oven, big refrigerator, plates, glasses, shower. And it’s warm there. You can reduce the warmness. There are heaters (and air conditioners) in rooms and bathroom. Only 2 things were bad: they didn’t give us soap, shampoo etc and they don’t have wifi. I needed to work remotely - couldn’t do it. I paid $6 and got nothing. Good that I had phone internet.
But in general it was a great thanksgiving getaway.
- linda (8/5): clean and comfortable - The cabin was clean and well stocked.
- Mark (10/5): A stay you won’t regret. - Yet another great experience, with not only the fantastic staff. But the beautiful location as well. This is our home away from home.
- Mark (10/5): More than I expected. - First off, Amanda inside the office, is absolutely amazing! She not only accommodated all our needs. But she also went above and beyond, to make sure we knew and understood the in’s and out’s of the resort. Our stay was so pleasant and peaceful. Yes, the cabins are a bit small. But they’re equipped with everything you can possibly need! I’m highly considering just renting out a cottage, for the feel of it. Because I enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you Wilderness Lakes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute and cozy - Super cute cottage, had Everything You Needed! Linens, blankets, towels, teapot etc. Even had cute little hand made bags of coffe, filters, creamer etc. The staff at the gate were so nice and helpful, the country store is adorable and also has everything you need... even bait to fish.
Fun events, great little dinner specials and a sunday brunch.... just a nice fun simple get away!
- Greg (4/5): The cabin was overpriced and disappointing. - I was in cabin 285, small for even one person.
My sleep was repeatedly interrupted by the refrigerator noise along with the very LOUD heater fan.
The SHOWER FAUCET requires turning to a powerful, wasteful stream to keep the water warm! Just my Single shower ended early due to WATER GETTING COLD. The SHOWER STALL is VERY SMALL and constricting.
The BED has a bunkbed just inches above the sleeping person, giving a claustrophobic effect. You must make your own BED, and that is VERY difficult, especially for an older person/person with physical limitations, because it has walls on 3 sides, can't be moved, and has a bunkbed in your way. BLANKETS are a 'foam' material, causing a lot of night sweating. MATTRESS was SOFT and OLD.
The SOFA is very small and uncomfortable.
The TV is mounted too high, and appears to be old/cheap. There are NO DIRECTIONS for using the (VERY LIMITED PROGRAMMING) satellite TV; check-in could not provide directions because "they're all different". They offered to send someone over, which I didn't accept.
I only stayed here because family had their RV here. I didn't use the cooking or microwave or refrig but they were adequate.
There is no maid service during your stay.
The grounds are old and mostly dirt or asphalt.
I don't know if the other cabins are better, but the rate I paid for a small room -- WITH its MANY SHORTCOMINGS -- DID NOT feel like good value at all.
I saw no reasonable hotels in the Menifee area, BUT driving 16 + miles t
- Greg (10/5): - Great little Get-a-Way
- Verified traveler (2/5): in RV park, call if coming after 4pm - 2 towels in a cute RV that are thin. Look, just bring your own toiletries and towels. This is glamping. You arrive and set up your the bed linens because bed not made.
- Lauren (8/5): Great family park - Lots of things to do. It's nothing like being in some boring hotel. There's fishing, mini golf, horseshoes, or you can just sit on the deck of your cabin and enjoy the nature surrounding you...
- Kathy (8/5): Enjoyed our Stay - Enjoyed a two night stay with family. Stayed in a small cabin. I really enjoyed the heated pool and areas for the kids to do things like miniature golf and basketball courts. If you like the outdoors I recommend this resort. Our cabin was very clean.
- Gary and Denise (6/5): Remarks on stay - Nice accommodations but larger then they should be for the cramped space. The bed was broke down causing my wife and I to roll to the center and there was about one foot of space on both sides not allowing for any night stand. We noticed the sofa was stained and dirty from pets. They did provide pet sheets for the sofa but apparently someone(s) didn't bother to use them as I tried to nap on sofa and immediately started sneezing and sneezed at least 6 times in less then 15 minutes and I'm not one with allergies. We paid about $125 per night which I think was pricey The did have nice outside and indoor activities.
- Tamara (8/5): Have stayed here twice now, love it! - Had some trouble with the pricing of my stay this time do to me switching from cabin to garden home, but Lisa took care of me and made it right, so I will continue to stay here everytime I come out to see my daughter.
- Mac (6/5): Weekend Getaway - I didn't get to pick which cabin/cottage/trailer I stayed in. It was assigned to me by the facility. Three members of our family stayed there and we were scattered all over the park. My niece requested a place with a full stove so she could cook the Thanksgiving turkey. Her place cost her $75 a night. My place was newer and cleaner but much smaller. One sink and no counter top. I cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast and it set off all three smoke alarms. The fan over the stove didn't pull any air. That place cost me $110 per night. My sister had a place similar to mine but way bigger. She paid the same price as me. The TV's were hooked up to DishTV and it went out the second day in all three of our rentals. Never came back. Even though I had a fishing license, it's a private facility so the fishing cost $10 per day for everybody over 12. We did catch some nice catfish though and the staff was great. Very friendly, very nice people and they let us check in early.
