Guest Reviews
- Steve (10/5): - It would have been nice to change cabins when on-site but staff were unable to do it since the cabin was reserved on Expedia and they were unable to see if another cabin was available.
- Patrick (4/5): RODE HARD PUT UP WET - It started out disappointing when they wouldn't let me check in early despite having dozens of cabins empty. The keypad to get through the gate was so worn, you had to guess where the numbers were - took a few tries. Having to check in at 10pm due to my meeting, I found that the map they give you to find your site is very confusing with 4 different areas with 20-30 lots each. The markings (signage) was all unlit so you had to drive with your flashlight out to identify cabin numbers. The roads were horrible! Narrow and full of potholes that would swallow a truck. Their 'camp rules' were so negative; you couldn't do a thing. In the cabin they stated that they needed help, would you deposit any trash in the dumpster up front, sweep the floors, do any dishes you used, and strip the beds & put the sheets on the sofa for the cleaning staff. The heating/A/C was so loud, I had to turn it off in order to sleep. I don't think I'll ever stay there again, though the cabin was small but comfortable.
- SUSAN (10/5): Fun at State - Well, it did rain all the time we were there. They were not giving out anything to do activities so we had to go somewhere else to do anything. Either way we had fun. Played in the rain.
- Dianna (10/5): Great all around - Everything was excellent. Staff was great. Very accomadating.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - First of all - the cabin you see in the photo "Fiesta Texas" is NOT the cabin you will get. Our cabin was much smaller, no covered porch seating as shown in the photo and we could not use our grill because it was gross and had a bird nest with eggs in it.
We were charged $125 more than we thought and were told after the fact that it was a "deposit" and we had to clean the cabin to get this back.
Lastly - I specifically booked this cabin for the pool... as you can see, nowhere does anything say the pool is closed. Well THE POOL IS CLOSED. AND so are the playgrounds. You can only use the mini golf and other courts with your own equipment. I thru a big enough fit that they gave us some golf clubs and balls.
Very unhappy. I shouldn't have been charged the full amount ... Much less $125.00 more than what I agreed to. I also videoed the cabin after we cleaned it. So I best get that $125 back... and not in two weeks either.
