• Helene (10/5): Spacious and cozy, comfortable and convenient with courteous and kind owners. - It’s generously spacious with all the basics plus. If you were caught there in bad weather you would have all the comforts to relax, and in great weather there’s a barbecue and plenty of exploring to do all around. I’m used to a king size bed so the double felt small, but that is the only thing and it’s not the kind of problem to change. It’s a great place to stay!

There was peanut butter, jam, coffee and tea available Since there were forest fires nearby with people being evacuated, we were unable to contact the property owners beforehand. We wanted an update on the status of the fire

• Nevalou (7/5): It was a clean and modest accommodation. A nice elderly couple checked us in. - This was a basic, no frills apartment in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed for our explore of the surrounding area, with the ability to prepare own food which I liked. We could easily hear the upstairs tenant walking above us. They were quiet, just that the floor squeaked easily when they moved about. The bathroom was a step up in order to enter and the tub was older and stained. Everything was very clean though!

• Monique (7/5): Bien situé pour visiter la région - C'était un appartement donc pas de petit déjeuner. Les propriétaires étaient très présents. Situation près des routes pour les visites de la péninsule d'Avalon. J'avais réservé un appartement 1 chambre 2 mois et demi avant mon arrivée mais malheureusement on m'a offert pour une raison que j'ignore l'appartement au sous-sol de 3 chambres pour une personne seule sans frais évidemment . C'était très grand et très propre mais comme il était au sous-sol c'était très sombre: la cuisine et le salon avaient 2 fenêtres mais qui donnaient en dessous de leur terrasse. Dans le titre de leur hébergement « Comerford 's Ocean View Suites,» je m'attendais à voir une vue de l'Océan même partielle mais je ne l'ai jamais vue.
• Jane (10/5): Tiny piece of luxury and paradise in the old town of Velez- Malaga - Lovely breakfast with the very attentive Maria on hand to top up coffee, toast, etc. Juice, tea, coffee, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, cake . . In the beautiful internal courtyard Nothing, the place is beautiful and Maria is a superb host. I would give 11/10 if I could!

• Barry (8/5): - Lovely clean hotel. A small tranquil oasis. Managed beautifully by Maria who was lovely and very helpful & friendly. Would like Tea/Coffee facilities in the room. Otherwise the room was lovely.

• MARIUSZ (8/5): Generally, we recommend making a reservation. - The property met our expectations. We were two couples, each had their own room, and the beds were comfortable. There was only one bathroom, so it was clean! The kitchen was well-equipped. The property is a good base for exploring St. John's before or after. We highly recommend it! The facility is older, but for a short stay it doesn't matter.

• Nicolae (6/5): - Extra old building. We got unit 7 (one bedroom) in the basement. Furniture is ok but old and tired. Comfortable bed. A lot of noise from the unit above untill after midnight. Is like sleeping in grand parents old farm house. Horses and cows are missing. It was okay for the price.

• Peter (8/5): It was very comfortable and clean. - Not a bed and breakfast, so we provided our own breakfast. Location was great for us. The bathroom is getting a bit worn or outdated but was sufficient for us.
• Tina (6/5): - This property said it had a pool and ocean view. We were in a basement suite with no view and the only pool we could see was a kiddie pool in the neighbouring property. We could hear the people above us and the place was not as clean as we are used to.

• line (10/5): Incroyable - Avoir un logement si grand à si peu de frais, c'est étonnant. Je voyage beaucoup et c'est probablement ce que j'ai trouvé de mieux rapport qualité prix. Nous avons été accueillie par les propriétaires assez âgés, surprenant que l'accueil se trouve dans leur résidence principale :) Le logement est spacieux et comporte tout ce qui est nécessaire pour cuisiner. Le personnel d'entretien est très sympathique. Situé sur une rue peu passante, c'est le calme la nuit venue. Pour les commentaires qui parlent de mobilier vieux, je qualifierais plutôt d'ancien, vintage... car tout est très propre. Les matelas sont très confortables. Et pour ceux qui ont de la difficulté a trouvé l'emplacement, entrer l'adresse plutôt que le point GPS. J'oubliais, laveuse sécheuse dans le sous sol d'un de leur édifice, super pratique. Nous visitons St John et Avalon, donc la situation centrale du logement était parfaite. Beau souvenir de notre séjour.
• Nancy (8/5): Pleasant, quiet and comfortable! - Spacious. Cleaning ladies very accommodating! Beds VERY comfortable! Pots and pans, stove, microwave and toaster oven were excellent brands! Quiet and very convenient to the Avalon peninsula locations in all directions. Lovely huge deck! Heat and fireplace did not work well. Assortment of channels and listing of what was available on TV would have been helpful. Missing scissors, frying pan after we asked, basic supplies were skimpy.
• Paul (8/5): - Property decor was dated but everything was clean, kitchen was stocked and the owners were very kind, walked us to our apartment showed us around and made sure we had no problems. Very spacious with both a kitchen table and dining room table. Going to stay there longer we I return to Newfoundland.

It's only 30 minutes away from St. John's, and almost $100/night cheaper. It was a perfect launching spot for sightseeing in the Avalon Peninsula. Would stay again in a heartbeat

• Holly (10/5): - We stayed here last year on Friday night of the Labour day weekend as well. Great place...very quiet, out of the way of the main roads and highways. We have stayed in two different units and both were extremely clean, even clean smelling. Kudos to the housekeeper (we met her last year but I forget her name). The owners are also super nice and friendly. We have two kids, age 4 and 9 and found the place to be very spacious and inviting. Hoping to make this a yearly tradition of staying here Friday night and heading to St. John's the following morning for back to school shopping. Would recommend Comerford's to anyone.

It was very quiet and the air conditioner worked very well. The toaster oven was a bit tricky to use but we appreciated having the ability to make toast.
