riddler82 (2/5): Disappointing Room Condition During Recent Stay - I am writing to express my deep disappointment following my recent stay at your hotel, where I checked into a family room last week. Upon entering the room, I was immediately appalled by its condition, which was far below acceptable standards—particularly for a hotel that carries a 4-star rating. The mattress had visible stains that were both unpleasant and unhygienic. Even more concerning was the state of the bathroom, where green mold was present around the base of the tap, and additional stains throughout the area made it feel unsanitary and neglected. Given the hotel's advertised star rating, I had expected a certain level of cleanliness and upkeep, which was unfortunately not reflected in my experience. It is disappointing to note that such issues appear to go unchecked, raising questions about the hotel's maintenance practices and quality assurance. As many of your guests are likely international travelers, it is crucial that the condition of your rooms reflects the standards expected of a reputable establishment. Based on my experience, I strongly urge the management to conduct a thorough review of the facilities and consider a major refurbishment to meet basic hospitality standards.

Inspire813814 (8/5): Family Getaway in Melaka! - We came during Jun school Holiday with big family group. Book for 6 rooms and made arrangement and booking tru hotel website. Initially upon reading all the review here which was quite unpleasant, i was a bit hesitating to book this hotel. But to my surprise its one of the best affordable, convenient and clean hotel in Melaka! Check in process was good, room arrangement was given as i requested tru email/whatsapp converstion with hotel reservation staff. Even when there is slight issue abt the room they will response to the problem immediately. Parking was easy, and food was just round the Corner. So convenient and the big mall was just infront of the hotel. Breakfast was ok not too bad, variety of choices for the price u pay i would say its worth it! Overall my big group family had a pleasant stay here : )

Very disappointed with the stay. Never book this hotel again.

Only the hotel communication department is a big big disappointment. I tried contacting them through Hotel.com and their direct email. No reply at all. Makes planning very hard.
Traveller_SGG (4/5): Worst 4* BF. Stained Towel. Ants Crawling. Pillow Stains - 1. Worst Breakfast for 4 stars hotel ever. Coffee cold, spring roll soft, porridge watery and cold. Omelette cold and left there. Fruits no cover. Crows flying around and eat leftover. Staff clear plates slow even though very few people. Food are cold. Not much choice. 40 myr per person is totally not worth. 2. Room. ALL pillows have yellow stains. Dining tables and floors have more than 20 ants crawling around. Window and walls have stains. Good thing is that the air con is cold, and the temperature gets cooling very fast. Wifi is strong. Floor is very dusty , we stepped on it, our feet gets dark . 3. House keeping. They changed the bedsheet, and clear the rubbish bin, and replenish the shower gel, BUT no replace towel. Floor is very dusty and dirty. Our feet gets dark and dusty when we walked around the room. 4. Bathroom. Water temperature not consistent. Water pressure very weak. Good thing is toilet flush is strong. Face towel and bath towel provided. Bath towel have stains. 5. Location. Superb location, just opposite Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall . There is a 711 and mcdonalds opposite the hotel. Walk 7 to 10 minutes to Mahkota Parade shopping mall. There is hatten shopping mall 3 minutes walk from the hotel. 6. Lobby. Small lobby with around 10+ seat. Lift was fast, 3 lifts inside the hotel. 7. Transport. Hotel to Jonker street is 5.40myr one way, 12 minutes drive. During peak, the price can get up to 18myr on way. Hotel to airport is 15myr which takes 25 minutes. Hotel to tan kim hock biscuit factory is 6myr one way, 10 minutes ride. 8. Massage. You can walk 5 minutes to Shore Suites Hotel. There is JA massage, Hua tuo1 and Hua tuo2 massage place. 90 minutes body massage is 100 myr. and 120 minutes body massage is 120 myr.

Dr Hilton (8/5): - This is a comfortable hotel and the room that I had on 13th floor was spacious, sunny and hospitable. But this is not a grand old dame. It is a huge 300 plus bed hotel in the city centre of Melaka. There is a big shopping mall across the road. It’s just a pity that there was not not water for most of my four day stay and housekeeping is very tardy. They don’t even provide hand towels except on request. But despite the shortcomings it is a fine place to stay at a very reasonable price.
Verified traveler (2/5): - It was disastrous, reception not sure about the process, i have been charged tourism tax when checked in while it stated in the booking that the travel organisation ( expedia / hotels.com ) would pay the tax to them. They also charged the tax for the two days which i did not check in as i had to burn two nights due to medical check up. It is actually stated in their country information website that no money/ tax should be charged if not staying in the hotel. Overall this hotel is really terrible.

Toilet yucksss with stains. Imperial hotel melaka management team need to review back all your room defect and your housekeeping service. Provide thm full training how to clean the rooms and toilets. I hv attached few proof of photos was taken will post in social media too. Tq

Hendrik (8/5): Good hotel, shame about the Wi-Fi - Good hotel and good service. In fact we proved that by choosing to extend our 2-day stay. The only (and most important) thing that let the hotel down was its Wi-Fi. It was slow and intermittent. Eventually we asked whether we could have a wired connection. Initially they said that they only had Wi-Fi, but when we complained again, all of a sudden this was possible. With a wired connection, there were no further issues. Good fast Wi-Fi is not a luxury to a lot of people, it's a necessity.

lowy422 (2/5): Bed bugs! And the bed is dirty - *Hotel Bad Experience* My first ever experience staying with this hotel was rather unpleasant and uncomfortable. I booked a 3 days 2 nights from the 22nd to the 24th of November 2024. I was assigned to Room 1503 during my stay and the overall condition of the room was not satisfactory because the bed cover had some prominent blood stains. After my first night, I realised my body had lots of red bumps and assumed it might be mosquito however, it was not the case because there weren’t any mosquitos present in the hotel room. To my realisation, the bed mattress was infested with bed bugs and was bitten when i was asleep through the night. I raised the issue to the hotel concierge and was reassigned to another room. The bed bugs bites was the most inconvenient part because the red bumps were really bad which resorted me to visit the doctor and affecting my work too since it takes about a week or two to recuperate. I would suggest that the hotel management to review on their room cleaning standards especially the bed mattresses. No customer would want to have bed bugs accompanying our sleep, that is just utterly awful. This tragic experience has made me to never step foot into this hotel again and would not recommend to others!! Horrible!
Catrinna (8/5): - - Convenient 15-20 mins walk to most tourist attractions such as Dutch Square, Jonker Street - Concierge staff was incredibly helpful in giving us travel directions - Free parking for hotel guests - Room was spacious and decently clean (4 star hotel standards) - We were given a family suite on the high floor and were there on a non-peak period so it was generally quiet. - Interior design furniture and fittings is slightly outdated and worn out but otherwise functional - WIFI connection is good - Wide range of TV channel options, but could not access OTT apps - need to be ‘updated’. - Provided only the necessary toiletries including soap shampoo toothbrush toothpaste bath towels and bath room mat - We did not try their buffet breakfast but opted for the cafe at the ground floor of the hotel. Coffee and American style breakfast was fair for the price. - In overall, the place is suitable for travellers or those with larger families looking for a practical, convenient and spacious accommodation for an economical price. Will not be suitable for those expecting the luxury aesthetics and services of your typical 5/6 star hotel.
684yuyum (4/5): Don’t stay here, rooms are not nice, wifi is not good, it needs a lot of refurbishing and it feels haunted - The hotel looks very grand from the outside but inside the rooms are very worn out. Toilet was not clean, it needs to be refurnished. Moreover, the whole ambience looks very haunted. Never going to stay there again. Not to mention there was a mix up of “no breakfast” when breakfast should have been included for the room we chose. Poor management.

Im hotel management i dont seem understand where are the smile on your face Front Desk Office Staff? They suppose to greet customer, example Hi Good Afternoon Sir Or Madam, End Up We Guest Greet Your Front Office.. Management Need To Understand, We Are Tired, end up put in our luggage’s without any store at your end..ridiculous right, we book not smallest rooms, all suites… and dont tell me non of rooms is available on tat time. This my 3 visit to Imperial Heritage and it seem no changes at all. Especially Lift to the room, anybody can go up to any floor with no securing individual level to floor.. it quite scary and safety come first!!! Sightsee50466757911 (2/5): Hotel should be Demolished - Bad experience with this hotel, 1. Have 2 queen size bed but 1 of the bed infested with bed bugs and my left arm had rashes. 2. Only 1 aircon so the other bed did not have aircon, only ceiling fan so the 3 of us have to sleep in 1 bed as it was hot and the rashes was bad. 3. Late in the night, the aircon leaked water and we had to change room at about midnight. 4. The new room was bad, got a dead cockroach in the toilet. The room also had a SMELL that it has not been used for a long time. The bed was mouldy. My family didn't have a good sleep. 5. The breakfast was bad too as it was raining and the hotel had an outdoor food buffets, the food was wet and unsightly. Just had a quick bite and left. The coffee and tea was bad. I don't understand why the hotel had an outdoor buffet, they should always be prepared for the weather. Our stay was supposed to be 2 nights but I cut it short to 1 as I never stayed in this kind of hotel before, it was horrible. The hotel should be torn down. I don't expect to be 5 star but this 0, not even a star. Adding salt to the wounds, the reception told me that the manager will contact me but till today nothing. No apology and no refunds. I had to pay 1 more night at another hotel and it was 100 times better. Please do not stay in this hotel as there is other hotel much better than this in Malacca

larsb_gildt2020 (8/5): Reasonably priced hotel with a good location - I do not understand why they call it a gourmet hotel - it is not. It is a rather old and a bit worn down, but the location is excellent and it is very reasonably priced, so overall it is pretty reasonable. The breakfast at the ground floor cafe is better than the buffet breakfast - I think at third floor.

27Vivien77 (10/5): Pleasant stay, friendly and helpful staff! - Pleasant stay 11-13 July 2024, room on the highest floor with great views! Thanks to Izza and Ilha who attended to us in a friendly and helpful manner. We were offered a room if we wanted to check-in early. But that room had a faulty aircon. We are thankful that we were given the room we requested for - on the 19th floor - with the usual check-in time. Room is big and had a great view! As we booked directly with the hotel, we were given free access to the lounge with unlimited high tea (special promotion in July). Great to meet Hossain again who is courteous and chatted with us. Great location: Makhota and Pelawan Shopping Centre opposite the hotel, walking distance to Bukit Melaka and Jonker Street. This is our fourth stay in the hotel and we will stay in Imperial Heritage again. Thanks for making our stay a pleasant one!

Stuart (4/5): Melaka 2024 - It was the most disappointing stay i have ever had in Malaysia the bathroom was just atrocious with water from the shower flooding the bathroom and toilet floor every time you had a shower the bed was so short my legs hung over the end of the bed. And the stalf wanted to charge extra for towels to mop up the floors this is in now way a four star hotel please read all the bad reviews on Google i wish i had don't expect this to be a good hotel you have been warned
DaddyistheBest (8/5): Deluxe Suite: a 2-bedroom apartment! - Stayed in a Deluxe Suite, which was essentially a 2-bedroom apartment, with 2 bathrooms, a living/dining room and kitchen (with a fridge but no utensils/cutlery provided), and therefore very spacious. For the price I paid (MYR365/night net; via Agoda) it was very good value. Arrived around 3.30 pm, but the room wasn't ready (their housekeeping appears to be quite slow, even during my stay), but OK, we were told we could have afternoon tea (provided by the hotel each day for free as part of the booking) while waiting. That consisted of some nyonya kueh, but the big highlight was the durian puff! In parking-scarce Malacca, it was good that they have their own (5-storey) parking lot behind the hotel building. There are 2 access points: ground floor via the hotel's rear door, or a bridge linking the 3rd floor of both hotel and parking lot building. It's free for guests but you need to validate the ticket at the reception before exiting.

HX-Teh (2/5): Rather sleep at the road than here - The room quality is the worst in my life The shower is broken,the TV is not working but the bed is OK For anyone with big cars it will be a big problem,the parking spaces were less and tight and is not even free(even the description said is free but it was legit a joke) Positive side is it is near tourism spots Definitely not recommend for anyone

FHANIMLGM (8/5): A two nite stays at Imperial Heritahe Hotel Melaka - I was given a big room which I appreciated very much during my two nite stays at Imperial Heritage. Located in a very strategic place it allows me to go to other historical places easily. The Shopping Centre is just across the road and another one is just a short walk away. There are hi tea promotion for every guest that stays in the hotel. I love the kuih keria. It will be good if one of the two types of karipap can be made into a savoury karipap and the other one remains as it is. The water drainage in the shower is stuck. Appreciate very much if it can be cleared off. The curtain needs washing since it is so smelly. Please wash your curtain as soon as possible. However the spa is great. Enjoyed my one hour kaki massage. I am coming again for a body massage. I hope it is as good as the kaki massage.

sarahthaqif (10/5): Shoutout to the best receptionist - My stay at Imperial Heritage Hotel, Melaka was an enjoyable mix of convenience and excellent service. Located close to the city's attractions, the hotel's prime position made for easy exploration, though it also led to some peak-season traffic challenges. I faced a minor room issue on my first day, which was promptly and professionally handled by Mr. Aiman. His world-class service made me feel truly welcomed and appreciated. The breakfast was okay, a lot choices. Room rates were quite reasonable, adding to the overall value of my stay. Despite the initial setback and traffic, my experience was largely positive, thanks to the exceptional service, especially from Mr. Aiman. I would readily recommend the Imperial Heritage Hotel to those seeking convenience, excellent service, and value for money.

But still message via WhatsApp asking me to pay all the time. I were informed that I had cash and will pay at check in time because we still tour in Melaka and take many people to tour before go check in . But she not allow so give me pay first and if not pay balance will give the room already booked to another guest if not pay first . Until I had to take a taxi to pay for you because I was afraid that you would cut the room as chat in WhatsApp. I had informed the company that sold this hotel that I would not go here again.

HaimEJT (2/5): HOnest review and stay away if you can, - Pros: - The location is great for shoppers and city explorer. Cons: - Wifi is slower kept disconnected than my mobile network - The pillow are smelly even chaning the pillow case, saliva odor smell. - The TV/Movie are limited. - The entrance/exit of the lify lobby are wet and soapy/ slippery every morning. My wife slipped and fell hard and required medical treatment. INfd the service desk but nothing was done. - THe breakfast is totally SHYT!!.. its salty like hell. I wonder if the chef has proper taste bud.. I tot it was coincidental for the first day. BUt it was the same for the next day too. IF they need the chef to go for training.. i would volunteer to help them how to cook. - Breakfast buffet style but staff are busy talking and chatting away. Preapration is slow. ONly edible food was the fruits. That so they dont even know how to cut watermelon professionally. - Overall.. - Stay away from the breakfast.. makes your stomach aches after eating...

Robin (8/5): Great location, good accommodations - The imperial heritage is a very striking building in the heart of downtown Malacca, which makes it a great base for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Inside, the hotel is a borderline 4 star. The lobby a bit small and dated, the rooms spacious but a tad old fashioned. Or as some would say, authentic to an age. Just that age is the 1980s, which was great for music but not so much for design. Still we booked the family suite and it was really spacious, clean, had nice views a kitchenette and two twin bedrooms. Which for some is the most important thing.
SpiceSpy (6/5): Imperial Heritage - Not worth for long stay. - Recently stayed at the Melaka Imperial Heritage Hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location was great as it was close to a shopping complex, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable and clean, which is always a plus. Additionally, the hotel offered limited free parking for guests, and there was a lift available from the 3rd floor only. However, I was disappointed with the state of the room itself. I booked a family suite, but it was not well-maintained. The bathroom door was damaged and had no lock, and the shower curtain was stained. Although there was a single-door fridge, there were no juices or snacks provided. The pantry had free coffee/tea with four mugs and an electric kettle, and a few stained plates and only two metal spoons. There was no handwash available, and there were no spare toilet rolls in the room. The TV channels were limited and not entertaining for small children. If you are traveling with elderly or young children, I would recommend requesting a room near the lift. My room was located at the far end about 400 meters away from the lift. During our stay, it was fasting month, so breakfast was closed by 9am without any considerations made for non-Muslim guests, especially those with elderly or young children. Lastly, we set our room for cleaning before going out, but when we returned, the room had not been cleaned. We had to discard the rubbish ourselves. The room per night is approximately 340+, but it did not meet the expected standards. Overall, while the location and friendly staff were positives, the poorly-maintained room and lack of breakfast options and cleanliness were drawbacks.

The toilet cabinet is quite dirty and has woodworms, which is very dangerous for children. the room is quite dusty as if it is not well maintained. because before I was very satisfied with this hotel. alvinsG3636SN (2/5): Not recommended, need refurbishment - This is not a 4 star hotel from my point of view. We stayed in room 1503. The TV channels are limited and almost all channels are in chinese language. Only one cartoon channel and also in chinese language. Boring for my 2 sons. The bathroom tiles are slippery which are really dangerous and not suitable for kids and old folkes. Even i almost slip in front of the toilet bowl. The carparks provided are limited and small. The only good review is the Bangladeshi butler named Ah San is friendly and helpful. Thats the first and the last time we will stay at this hotel. Highly not recommended.

huey2703 (4/5): Need to renovate rooms - Hotel is in serious need of renovations and revamp. There are no shower curtains so expect your whole toilet to be wet after your shower. No hairdryers either and front desk informed that they didn't have extras to give out. The TV remote doesn't work all the time and channels are very limited. Toilet door is mouldy at the bottom too.

Aziz (4/5): - During check-in I reminded the counter staff that I had reservation sometime 2019/2020 which was postponed due to Covid-19, and she told me that she will check with reservation as I told her that Expedia had been emailing them about this matter but with no response. Till we check-out there was no response from the counter staff. On the first day we went out at 11am and was back at 5.30pm and to our disappointment the room was not cleaned. Called the front office, lady counter staff said she will inform the housekeeping and waited till 6.05pm no show from housekeeping and when I called the front office again a guy answered and said the lady staff had had left for home. From then on everyday before leaving I had to go and looked for housekeeping staff and remind them to clean our room. The door-man Hussein and Ali were very approachable and helpful and obliging too. If we ever go back the Imperial it will be for these two staff only.
