Sachets of coffee and cream are not that expensive. I understand if breakfast is not included because of the high cost of foods. Anyway, everything’s great in general. Service is amazing! Thanks to every staff who made our stay a memorable one!! The people who assist us with our snorkelling which we didn’t plan were amazing too. They made our stay an enjoyable one! Thank you all!

- Paul (8/5): - The room I stayed in was nice. Which that what ya pay for. The room had a water heater,but no coffee, nor coffee cups. Just had beer and pop that was a cost. Both mornings I was there went to breakfast, the lady that was taking the order was very dismantle. Her attitude toward us was like you didnt feel welcome there. Couldn't wait get through eating and get out of there. And their kichten was supposed open up at 6am,which didn't happen. Had walk down to ask when they was going to open. Really not much to due at this place but swim in a pool. Really isnt worth the price!

- Jose (2/5): - I like the views and peacefulness of the property. Room was spacious. However, would not stay here again. There are a lot of rules including no outside food so be aware that if you don’t want to eat at their restaurant you will need to leave the resort (resort food was not good nor authentic.) Main reason i booked this place was their fitness center/gym but it was being renovated at time of stay. I wish this had been disclosed to me at booking or at least prior to arrival.

- Kevindcf (2/5): Warning stay away from this hotel - Staff are unaccommodating and feels like they are trained to dismiss a lot of concerns. They are unwilling to accommodate our request for assistance due to a medical emergency and will run you around in circles until you just give up your concern. Every receptionist has a different answer to the same concern and they dont have a duty manager available that can help. They will repeatedly say they will provide you information via text or email but they never followed thru. The owner will use any technicality to avoid giving help, very inconsiderate and very unaccommodating. Will never consider this hotel again
- anitasR9632TF (6/5): Guests Relations is missing! - Lack of guests relations for this resort and needs a lot of improvement. It seems the owner micromanaged everything, you could sense that employee was so tense when you are requesting even an extra bottle water. So sad, it’s a beautiful manicured landscape and spacious rooms. It needs a lot of renovation from a broken chair from the pool, to the very dirty, moldy table on the garden. No free breakfast like other resorts in the area, no complimentary water or at least coffee in the main lobby. Receptionist and waitress sounds stuck up when you request something. Thanks to the housekeeping guys who was helpful makes our stay a little bit comfortable.
- Nick (6/5): - Immediate area around the hotel is good, beach is formed of rocks so sea swimming off the beach is a no go. If checking in early evening be prepared for a rushed check-in and then the place to close down. We decided to gave a massage before we left, not a bad price and a good massage, only problem is no massage table only beds, not bad for us but for the therapist I'm not so sure. Overall I think they are overpriced for what's on offer.

Pool water filters must be turned on more often. Water is hazy and not crystal clear compared with similar upscale resorts in the area. Overall good experience. May return again.
- nicc643 (6/5): great resort. shame about the owner. - we had - up until checking out - a good experience here. however, whilst checking out, the property couldnt get their card reader to work, which apparently necessitated a visit from the very obnoxious owner. due to his own property shortcomings, he felt it necessary to harangue me in the reception area over a bill of less than 6 euro. frankly, having worked in hospitality for over 20 years, i found his tone to be off, to say the least. I wont be back.

- mezchinlim (2/5): No initiative - People weren't very accommodating and didn't have the initiative to help the guest. We went there and book a room with the intention of just having a place to shower, dress and have short naps. Check in was 2 pm which was very much understandable and I presume that check out would be earlier than that otherwise they will have to take time to clean and etc. There were other rooms that were clean and done and no other guest arrive yet. We kept asking if our room was done, or the update of the room. They gave us the excuse that the previous guest checkout late thus the late room availability. I don't think we have to pay for the previous guest who decided to check out late. they could have handled the situation better by 1. updating us more, 2. maybe upgrading us, 3. placing us in the room that was ready. but what happen was we had to be the one who have to follow up and ask if the room was ready. Would have appreciated it if they updated us more and be more accommodating. So over all that was very disappointing sunday. Maybe they could have a better person to handle situation like that.
- FELICIANO (6/5): Hotel experience in Sea Dream - The place is good, however the service is not like when we enter the room towel is not available and we need to ask the staff that we do not have towel in the room ready to use, also their was an electric kettle but no cup for coffee, no telephone/intercom in the room or in the area to call in front desk for any assistance, we need to go down and to ask for the assistance, the internet provided is not friendly and was not able to use for the entire stay, and when I check out even if it only me who check out it took some time to clear and I have to wait longer time than I usually experience with other hotels, and lastly the stairs going to second floor is made of metal and it bounce upon going up and down very cheap! So overall it is not worth of what I have paid of.

- sgnn65 (6/5): Good resort - poor room rate value - This small resort is situated on the beach front about 45 mins drive from the airport. The room and bathroom are a good size but the furnishings and fixtures in the bedroom and bathroom are well over due for a change and certainly not reflective of the price charged for the room. The mini bar for example does not cool anything inside it. Apart from that, the small resort is very cosy and un-intrusive which helps the "get away from it all" feeling. The restaurant provide good quality homestyle cooking fare and is good value. The beverages are reasonably priced as well. This becomes important because there is precious little in the way of eating or dining venues close by. Rental motorbikes are available at the resort itself There is a decent sized pool and wifi is adequate. The is an on site diving shop. Suggest taking the hotel airport transfer service at 600PHP for 3 or less passengers and 900PHP for 6 or less passengers each way. The reception is not a 24 hour operation so the main entrance is shut after 10pm but can be accessed through a side gate which I had to hunt for in the dark as this information was not made known during check in.
- Roblyd77 (4/5): Overpriced and Everything is an extra charge! - The hotel itself is set on nice grounds with a beautiful view of the water and Apo Island. The rooms are a good size and we had the sea view. The little extra charges are everywhere though. The ‘gym’ is 200 pesos per person per hour....the moped rental didn’t include helmets so they were another 30 pesos each which we were never told about until after we returned the moped. The resort also strictly enforced any outside food or beverage including a corkage fee of 40 pesos for each bottle of beer and 2000 pesos for a bottle of whisky. This is our first and last time visiting as there are better resorts in Dauin for a better price.
- JosephD798 (10/5): Beyond Expecattions - I checked into the Sea Dream Resort, March 23 together with some members of my family. I was not expecting much as I've never heard of it until a few hours before we checked in. In fact, I was apprehensive that it would be a dump like so many resorts I've been to in the past. I was wrong, It became evident when we drop through the gate - it has a covered parking lot. It was not involved in the check-in routine but I got another jolt when I got into my rooms - it is very large, clean and every amenity for a comfortable stay was in their rightful place. Whatever was lucking like electric kettle and cup and teaspoon were immediately provide. I like their pool which is long enough for a lap swim, not just for immersion. The leisure area beside the pool is perfect for family bonding. And the restaurant is large to accommodate a huge crowd. The staff is small but efficient. If you want to have a perfect holiday which is well within your budget, consider Sea Dream. You won't regret it.

- Harry (10/5): Don't Pass This One Up! - This place is amazing! Fantastic, I can't say enough positive things about our experience at this resort. Friendly well mannered staff always ready to serve their guests. Accommodations are great, clean and well cared for. Way above average, top shelf all the way from start to finish. Restaurant was a bit pricey, but the food was very good. All in all this was a wonderful place I would definitely return again!
- George (6/5): - Took 16 family members to resort and apo inland resprt was nice and food was good but a little expensive compared to Philippines, was a drive to other restaurants in dumagette, there was no beach as you would expect to see in the Philippines, seen bette beaches in Florida, over all would not stay there again just because of the beach, but family freindly.
- MrsA-MTA2017 (8/5): Short and sweet. - Stay 3 Nights (Fri 25 – Mon 28) Room Type: Standard (UPGRADED TO LOWER GROUND SEA VIEW) We visited the resort on our honeymoon, and were greeted with welcome drinks and a pleasant surprise of an upgraded room. The room was nicely made up, with towel art and flowers. The staff were all pleasant, and we were invited to a party that the owner threw in celebration of his team and his wife’s birthday. It was lovely to see the team spirit and interaction between them all. There is one restaurant on site, with a great menu and wide selection for all meals. You can also order poolside snacks and drinks by the loungers. We were disappointed that there was no hot water available in our room, as the hot tap in the shower, and the sink ran cool/lukewarm at best. While I appreciate that the climate is hot most of the year, not everyone will prefer a cool shower, and guests ought to be given the option to have a hot shower. As noted by other guests, there are no phones to call reception in the rooms, so if you have a query you have to go back out to the main desk. The pool and grounds were well kept during our stay, and although there is no direct access to the beach/sea, there are lovely views available.
- januza (4/5): Family vacation - It seems to be a privately run establishment. Cleaning is under par. We had to have shower heads replaced in several rooms due to mold. Toilet : bathroom had hair in the sink after being cleaned. Rooms are fairly well sized and has a nice view. Rooms do not have phones so it’s hard to call room service as you need to leave the room to get service. Beach has lots of stone and isn’t cleaned. Lots of plastic and trash outside. Food, breakfast / lunch / dinner is not worth mentioning. We did had a tenderloin steak which was okay but salads no good, fries very oily, squid no taste. For breakfast omelet was dry and peppery. Bread tasted stale and chewy, coffee quite weak as well and no free house water. The pool however is good for kids. All in all been there done that, not coming back.

Room was very comfortable...the pool overlooking the sea was very well maintained. The lndscape and gardens were excellent...a nice little bar by the sea and excellent food in their restaurant. - pikator (2/5): Be careful! - We booked 5 nights in this hotel unfortunately with non refundable payment.Before our holiday we sent a few emails about transfers and motorbike rentals and they were so informative and sent responses very quickly. When we arrived at the reception there was a men sleeping on the sofa and a small girl with her mom was on the front desk just playing some game on the computer, and another woman just behind them were opening a small fridge and gave us our “welcome drink”. She gave us the keys and also informed us there will be a private party for Hitachi on that evening and they also staying one night in the hotel so we can not use the restaurant only the bar area and if we want we can have dinner in the room.We were completely shocked and I asked the girl how many people gonna be, she said 90 and they all were laughing at the reception like its so funny. So after all these we had a terrible evening.The music was so loud all night and after they stopped around 10 we heard everything from the surrounding rooms people shouting, laughing.We couldn’t sleep at all.The next morning we went 6 o’clock to the reception and informed them we are going to leave the hotel.We had several other issues what I am not going to mention,as there were fixable.I would like to warned everyone if you go there make sure they don’t have any event at that time because it may screw your holiday.Anyway we are so glad to leave that hotel because we found a beautiful place just 35 min drive from there called Cove paradise resort.We lost money but we earned some quality time at the other place.
- sassicaia21 (4/5): Disappointed and Frustrated. I Picked Up and Left - I stayed here in December 2014. I reviewed this property with 4 stars. My biggest gripe back then was the horrible road to the hotel. Well they built a new one, so I thought it would be a perfect stay. I had a beautiful huge room, the staff was excellent, but things went downhill fast. First the Internet there is not usable. I could get it to work on my phone but none of the 3 computers I had with me. The staff told me to reboot the room's router, but it was of no help. I called my tech guy in NY and he surmised the routers are not configured correctly. I saw another reviewer on here complaining of the same issue. I wish I had read it before I booked. I was there on business so no Internet access was totally unacceptable. When I woke up the next morning, I went to take a shower, and there was zero hot water. I asked for assistance, and they sent up housekeeping who obviously had no idea how to fix it. Now there are no phones in the rooms, so if you have a problem, you have to walk to the office. Since I like to stay on the top floor, I had to make numerous trips up and down the steps trying to get things fixed. After about the third trip asking for a maintenance guy to come with no success, I threw in the towel and checked out. Let's talk about another couple of things. Despite the fact you cannot get basics like Internet and hot water, this resort continues to build out more rooms. It would be wiser to get the rooms in operation up to reasonable standards before building more rooms. The last trip, I found the restaurant to be excellent. The menu was fabulous as was the food. Well they obviously lost that chef, because the menu was changed and the food just average. The owner spends day and night on his computer in the restaurant. Obviously he has no problem getting Internet. Maybe it only works in that location and the office. He should get off his can and fix everything that is broken there. I would leave a single star, but the kind staff needs some type of acknowledgement. Another problem is they sell rooms through travel sites in addition to their own website. Rooms are available on Expedia, but sold-out on their own website. What a horrible business model! Anyway, you need to avoid this hotel. The frustion is just not worth it.

Great view, good wifi, AC, and satellite TV. No complaints. However, I was disappointed that they have no on site scuba diving center as advertised. They offered me a Scuba Diver excursion for 3 times the normal price since there were no other divers. Therefore, I did all my Scuba Diving at an off site dive center about 5km away. To do this, I had to rent a scooter at an inflated price and they even charged me extra for the helmet. The prices in the restaurant were also relatively expensive and breakfast is not included. It felt odd that the hotel manager (owner?) had his desk set up in the middle of the dining room and never greeted or said a word to me during my entire stay. While the staff were always very nice and professional.The guests seemed to be predominantly Chinese.
- Missika (10/5): Verry Happy - We stayed a total of 8 nights here, 6 in a classic sea view, and 2 in a standard room. The Sea View is worth the upgrade Pros: Clean, safe and secure with an excellent staff and chef. I found the meals fantastic Cons: There is only a little beach, and you are a ways from town. Caveats: Yes, they charge a bit high for tours, but I found the service worth the extra paid

- Cindy (8/5): Nice stay in Dumaguete (Dauin) - We had a nice stay at sea dreams resort. This hotel is 40 minutes to an hour from Dumaguete and the airport depending on traffic. Solid 3* property. Just outside of Dauin, which is a great dive spot! Finbar in Dauin is exceptional if you like craft beer and fabulous food. Alpo island is also nearby. They have vehicles on property you can arrange. Staff was great. Food was also good. Nice breakfast as well as lunch and dinner
- 931lyrag (6/5): Too far from City - The resort is too far about an hour away to the city & airport. Waterfront view is beautiful but the beach is full of river rocks & not appealing. The rooms & bathrooms ate big. There's no shower enclosure so almost all things near it are wet. There's no phone so if you need anything or in Emergency, you have to go out to ask for help. Bottled water are provided but not coffee or tea. They charged Php200/ hour for gym . Airport shuttle are Php600 / way. Food in the restaurant are ok but pricey. The staffs are helpful & approachable. Overall the resort is clean. I'm not coming back to this resort ,so I don't recommend it.
- 7harmonie (2/5): Frustration - We came to the Resort in Febr 2018 and here our experiences. On arrival were confronted with the discrepancy between our written confirmation (price per room included breakfast) and the reception’s pricing that no breakfast was included in the price of the standard room of Peso 3900.- per night. Our standard room, which happened to be a very basic room was situated at the rear of a building that faced the garden located at the second floor and had absolutely no view. To reach the second floor (the hotel had no elevator) we had to clim a steep iron staircase at the outside of the building of 22 steps! At my age of 88 a precarious if not dangerous undertaking. Once climbed the stairs and seen the room we decided that we had to change to a room downstairs. With great difficulty we were able to change with an extra payment of 1800 Peso per night, having thus a room for peso 5700.- per night or $112 or 91 €uro. This is a Resort 30 minutes drive from the Provincial Capital of Dumaguete. The place looked fine on the picture and the pool was big and pleasant but there was no beach in front at all, just a fence and big stones! The personnel at the Resort were fine people but evidently under stress from the foreign owner, who seemed to be a real miser. Conclusion, never book in this Resort. To far out of town, price far to steep for basic rooms in the Province. Lack of an elevator is crucial for most not young guests not to be in this Hotel. RUDOLF JONKER Sent from my iPadPro
- 29rob (2/5): Relaxing Vacation - Horrible beach. Too many steps to get to the rooms. Rooms out of pool area looks military camp. Local Staff are fine, but owner miserable does not even bother to greet. All rooms are basic, not even intercom to talk to reception. Either you have slow wifi or mobile phone signal but not both. Pool water has a smell/odor
- Judy (10/5): Very nice Hotel - We had a very nice 10 night stay. One particular pool boy was very attentive to my 79 year old mother getting into and out of the pool. One waitress was very attentive and helpful when we were at the pool. When those two individuals were not working, we had to find a wait person. The room was great, neat and clean. The only minor negative was the wall behind the bathroom bathroom sink faucet needed a little scrubbing. It looked like it had dried toothpaste. The chrome on the bathroom sink faucet also needed a little cleaning. ... we cleaned both. (we had two rooms and both we the same). The negatives are minor. and I'd stay here again. My rating would be 4.8 out of 5.
- John (8/5): Very nice hotel near the ocean - It is an excellent quiet modern hotel with a very good onsite restaurant, even though it’s menu is limited! It overlooks the ocean, but the beach is pebbles, but there is a good swimming pool there. It’s main problem is it is a 45 minutes drive to the city of Dumaguete, but the car or van drive is reasonably cheap! It is well worth staying there and is good value!
- Shannon (10/5): lovely place to stay - This was a lovely place. The grounds and rooms were well kept. The Food at the restaurant was always really good. And the small area for snorkeling in front of the hotel was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place. The only negative thing was of my own preference. The bed was very hard, and I woke up with a stiff back each morning. Others in my party had no problem with it.

- Richard (10/5): Sea Dreams indeed! - Spent two nights at Sea Dreams and should have spent more time. Very quiet away from the center of Dumaguete, but fairly easy to get into town by taxi, tri-cyle or local bus. The resort itself is great - right on the beach (not much of a beach btw) with a protected marine park with good snorkeling right there. Nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs. The hotel offers a large selection of motorbikes and motorcycles for rent, including some large engine BMW's and Kawasaki's. Also can arrange for scuba diving and sightseeing trips. I also used their in-house service to pick me up and drop me off in Dumagete and the price was also very reasonable. My room was quite large and very comfortable. The staff was great and friendly as usual in the Philippines, but just a little bit better here. Since, the property is in a quiet area I would have expected the restaurant to offer high priced mediocre food, but this is not the case. The food was very good, huge portions and reasonably priced. Big Plus!! Only con is that they charge for use of the fitness room, which seems a little petty. Also I didn't get woken up by a rooster either night, a rarity in the Philippines.
- Jake (6/5): Average 3 star hotel - Can't swim on the beach, rocky and doesn't look clean. Doesn't offer free breakfast considering the high cost of the hotel. Food is so pricey. Coffee doesn't taste good. No other restaurants near by you'll be forced to eat at their pricey restaurant.

- 爺の旅行者 (8/5): 街から離れた居心地の良いホテル。 - ビーチに面した居心地の良いホテルです、何よりも食事が美味しかった、2日間の滞在でしたが町まで15キロ車で20分から30分の所でホテルの周りには何も有りません、でも食事が美味しく値段も手ごろ（日本のファミレス）ぐらい、プールも快適でした、ただ部屋を選ぶとしたらビーチに面した部屋を頼んだほうが。
- Sofia (10/5): Fint och fräscht hotell - Otroligt trevligt och fräscht ställe. Vi hade dock lite problem med acn men det löste dom snabbt och ville uppgradera oss som plåster på såren. Maten är helt fantastiskt och personalen trevlig. Dock var serveringspersonalen ganska så nonchalanta och priserna är betydligt dyrare än resten av Filippinerna. Men skulle helt klart bo här igen :)

- Michael (10/5): Best value around - very nice facility, looks brand new and in perfect condition. Restaurant on site is wonderful with a great menu and great chef. Staff is very friendly and more than helpful. This is probably one of the top ten resorts in the Phillipines and if you consider the price maybe it is the best. Met the owner of the resort while there very friendly and will make you feel at home.

- Paul (10/5): A Wonderfully Peaceful Resort - This resort was wonderful, very quiet since most people were off diving which was great for me just wanting to relax. The service was exemplary, the staff were wonderful (both friendly and helpful). The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. I was very impressed with how extremely clean the entire place was. Will definitely return.
