Guest Reviews
- Maria Rosaria (9/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Stayed here before and now since reno it's sooo much better. - No breakfast offered. Would be nice since this is a sister hotel for Chatham Wayside Inn. If they offered a voucher as well to dine at the Greyfinch Tavern. Wish you offered food or allowed us to have breakfast at location down the street.
Need bigger trash bins.
- Danielle (7/5): -
- Tola (9/5): Great facility, great location -
- Janet (8/5): - The motel was very clean and close to the downtown shopping which we liked. Honestly, the king size mattress was very uncomfortable! I woke up with a backache both mornings.
- Michele (10/5): -
- Thierry (10/5): tres bien - tout rien

- Amelia (7/5): The perfect base in Chatham, fantastic modern rooms! - Good location, style of rooms is great and modern. Nice art, lots of seating and a table. Steamer in room, coffee machine and multiple luggage racks. Good parking and staff were very helpful when we had an issue. Double sinks is fantastic too. Bikes available. Wasn’t communicated that the pool and fire pits would be out of action come our stay. I would have thought a firepit could have been perfect for an October evening.
First room had ants but the manager was amazing and swapped us right away.
- Jessica (8/5): Stayed in a twin room (double beds)? Nice location. Easy checkin/check out - Clean, fresh. N/A
- JESSE (9/5): - The pool area was very nice, secluded and relaxing. The shower was fantastic and room unexpectedly nice for the area and price. Would stay here again.
- Chris (10/5): -
- David (10/5): - Nice place
- rayn659 (6/5): Clean and modern but one significant issue - Needed a last minute place to stay during a quick overnight trip to the Chatham area. For the price, this property was fine. We booked late and didn’t realize we would have to drive to the sister property to check if arriving after 7pm. However that was manageable.
The rooms are modern and the unit was very clean. However, there is one significant issue that needs the owner’s attention. The windows do not open whatsoever and the air quality in the unit was very poor. Also all units including ours appeared to have a significant dampness problem related to the lack of ventilation. Condensation was dripping down the inside of our windows and pooling on the window ledge by morning. We noted condensation dripping down the inside of the windows of other units also. We did our best to prop the door open before going to bed to try and create some air circulation, but this only helped a little.
Again the rooms themselves were very comfortable and clean. However, I haven’t previously encountered a motel with no way to circulate air and such an obvious condensation issue. These units are likely going to have mould issues if the air flow issue isn’t addressed.
- John (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay
- Robert (6/5): - More of a upscale motel than a luxury property
- peter (7/5): - We hadden een vochtige kamer, dit rook je en voelde je, verf bladerde van het plafond.
- Caroline (10/5): - Clean room and well maintained buildings and pool area
- Ian (10/5): Greyfinch, Chatham, September 2025 - We had 5 days at the Greyfinch, rooms and pool area spotless, close to main town to drive just a few minutes. Grocery and chemist were close enough to mark, as was the Mexican and a true diamond called the del-mar. If I had one complaint it was noise from rooms both side, as you could clearly hear tv and talking, but bar that thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel
- Andrea (10/5): - Property was beautiful!
- James (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Lovely place - quiet beautiful rooms and grounds
- Jamie (8/5): Early morning lap swimming in the pool was delightful. - The pool was great. The room was very comfortable. The parking situations was difficult since the spaces were so narrow. I thought naively from the pictures that the place would be an Inn. Instead it was a high-end motel. I should have known since most of the places on the Cape are motels. Also there was some confusion about us not being in a dog friendly room and so having to pay an extra fee.
- M. in16th (7/5): Watch out for added charges!!!! Lovely pool and nice clean rooms in a good location. - The housekeeping service was wonderful. I did not catch the name of the person who helped us on Tuesday but she was a gem! The pool was fabulous. There was no breakfast and office hours were limited. Door stuck. Temperature regulation was poor. ******WORST: ENDLESS tacked on charges. 30 dollars a day for "facilities" that should have been included in the base price. Lots of little extra water charges. Unless there's a law or ordinance that says these must be charged directly to the guest, these should have been included as well. At check-in lots of extra $ charged to our card for "incidentals" but staff were cagey about the nature of these added charges. When deciding to book this place or another, I compared features and prices and these extra charges were deceptive and we felt scammed.***
- Bonnie (10/5): - Great find in Chatham. Appears recently renovated. Great for a1-2 night stay
- Michael (10/5): Great Stay without a Smile:( - Great place to stay and super clean and comfortable, would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was the only staff member we interacted with was not pleasant at all and on the verge of being rude. Any questions I had about the hotel (bikes or pool), she was annoyed. For much a cute place to stay, just a smile would go a long way when interacting with guest.
- MomagentSK (6/5): Was hopeful, but didn’t hold up - Room was clean upon arrival, but we were immediately hit with a very strong bleach smell. I wasn’t sure we would be able to stay in the room. Tried to open windows, they don’t open and if they did not have screens. We left the door open to try to get fresh air in. The odor did dissipate over time but not completely.
Location of motel is good, and it was very quiet which was great.
Pool is lovely, except when we went up to swim, no pool towels were left.
After paying all taxes and cost of room, I don’t think this space is worth it. I wish we had booked its sister property, The Wayside Inn. It’s more costly, but in my opinion, much better stay than almost a $500/ night at Greyfinch.
- Vincent (10/5): Parfait - Chambres spacieuses et au calme
La piscine qui était très appréciable Rien
- Andrew (8/5): A clean, well-located motor inn with some nice amenities and ideal proximity to downtown Chatham. - A clean, well-located motor inn. Very close to downtown, with a pool, fire pit and free beach cruisers to toodle around the village. A/C was in good working order. Large shower. Didn't charge for bottled water. Walls were a bit thin and could hear neighboring guests at night. Borrowing the bikes, which was otherwise a nice perk, required signing four pages of waivers.
- Lucia (10/5): Extraordinario - Habitaciones amplias.
- marymS3999ZH (6/5): Right next to a CEMETARY!!! - Appreciate all their efforts - room was beautiful, comfy beds and clean. BUT how could anyone overlook the fact that it’s right next to a cemetary!!!??!!! We booked this place very last minute and clearly did not research the location. Totally creeped us out! We did not use the pool cause we could see tombstones right behind it. No thank you!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Greyfinch - It was very nice. Property is clean, quiet, nice pool, close to main street, market, restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are very nice.
- Nicoleta (8/5): Very nice stay! -
- Alvaro (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amal (6/5): - It was overpriced and we were not able to use their bikes as she did not know the code for the key locks , towels often missing in pool area .
- Cheryl (10/5): - This place was cute, clean and in a very convenient location
- Neil (10/5): - Excellent
- Farah (10/5): Beautiful very clean rooms. - Beautiful New England style property. Centrally located. Very clean nicely styled. room but not very sound proof. They offered us bicycles free of charge which we found very helpful and so much fun exploring this charming town. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Sound proofing of the room was 6/10.
- Dillon (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect! - Clean , updated , great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean
Good location. A lot of things/places within walking distance
Parking was tight
Employees friendly
- Patrick (10/5): - A true gem
In Chatham.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautiful pool, clean rooms, easy walk to town, friendly professional staff, especially Loshanti!
- Sandra (6/5): - Overall the pr
- Vanja (1/5): It’s literally an overpriced motel!! - The only thing that looks good about this property is the pictures they have put up on booking!! Trap!! It’s literally an overpriced expensive motel!!! Don’t be fooled by the pictures they have put up on booking!! They have a sister hotel and these are the mix of pictures you see on booking!! Super unprofessional and misleading!! In this motel you literally get a room, where you have a window overlooking your parked car in front of your door. The pool is open from 8am-8pm and the fire pit that they advertise should be open until 10pm but when we got there at 8:20pm the pool and the fire pit whole area was locked up. The property motel is a total scam for the price point of $650/night on high season weekends!!! Just to the left of the property there is a graveyard, so you’re literally sandwiched between a graveyard and a busy road.
- Angie (10/5): - Excellent property! It was very clean, the pool fire pit area was very nice and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful too! I will definitely stay again.
- Cotney (10/5): Exceptional - the new renovations were worth it. the rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff were available and so friendly, and its the perfect area to stay in if you can't get a room right downtown. And honestly, i would stay here again even if there was room, i loved that you could rent bikes, have access to the pool and plenty of parking. we came for a wedding so didn't get to use the facilities, but when i come back to chatham later, this will be my first choice.
- Adam (10/5): Great place to stay close to it all. - Great place. Convenient, friendly and accommodating. Freshly updated and looks great and comfortable.
Only minor issue was AC question - Keep on Auto/Cool - otherwise won't work as hoped :)
- Brandy (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (6/5): - Enjoyed the location! Happy about the renovation but wish there were no carpets. The room did smell a little musty and the ac is in the bathroom so the room didn’t get that cold. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly!
- Omima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacilene (9/5): Clean and comfortable stay with wonderful staff — just wish the price had been a bit lower. - I really enjoyed my stay this past weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly — especially the woman who helped us during our stay. She was kind and supportive the whole time. Thank you for the great service! The price, it felt a bit high for a short stay. But overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thank you!
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vinay (10/5): - Had an amazing stay at Greyfinch Chatham Inn. The place is beautiful, super clean, and the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Loved the little touches that made the stay feel extra special. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
- Sarah (8/5): - Nicely-renovated motel accommodation. Spacious and clean.
- John (10/5): - Staff and service top notch. Comfortable, clean well-appointed rooms. friendly folks from the get-go. A great place.
- ulia-pillmore (10/5): Cozy chic stay 10/10 - I stayed at Greyfinch with my mom and it was one of the most wonderful mother-daughter trips of our lives! The Greyfinch Inn is new, relatively affordable for such a beautiful property in one of the most expensive and cozy chic towns in the US and offers all the comforts one could possibly need.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and pretty spacious.
The shops and restaurants are only a short walk or a 2-4 minute bike ride away, yet the inn itself is conveniently located in a quieter part of Main Street, providing everyone with a serene stay.
We didn't swim in the pool, but it looked great, so have to come back again in summer. Overall, I find it the best quality/value in the area.
- Kathleen (9/5): Very clean and comfortable and great location. - Great location, walkable to shops and restaurants. Updated room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable.
- Megan (10/5): Loved it - I really enjoyed my three night stay here while I attended a painting workshop at the Creative Arts Centre. The rooms have been totally renovated and it was a very well done reno. Very clean and in a convenient location. Love the big walk in shower with the rain shower head. There is a Keurig coffee machine and a refrigerated drawer. I didn't want to have to eat out all of the time so picked up prepared hot meals from the market close by. I would stay there again as it's a lovely place and a great price.
- Karen (10/5): Great property - Room was excellent & very comfortable They didn’t offer a breakfast option
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lots of good stuff, some not-so-good - This renovated hotel is in great shape and our room was very clean. The staff was friendly and tried hard to be helpful. I appreciate that the hotel let us change our dates without the penalty they could have charged. I did learn that the hotel will switch you from a King room to two Queens (a much more cramped layout) without telling you. If you want to stay in a King, try putting in a comment like "I require a King room. Do not switch me to a Queen room". There isn't much storage space (closet is too short to hang a dress in, drawers are taken up by safe, refrigerator, extra blankets, 2 sinks in bathroom which means little counter space). It seems that card keys are automatically deactivated at 11 am on checkout day and that staff can not reactivate them. At the time I went to ask for more hangers there were 4 parties trying to leave but locked out of their rooms. Each party had to be individually escorted to their room, with staff getting the keys from housekeeping. I didn't stick around to get hangers.
- marygott (10/5): Retro chic Motel Update - A great stay, huge rooms, comfy beds and a steamer. Love the updated motel trend. My husband and I stayed for 4 days and had no complaints. Value for money was fantastic. We didn’t use the pool or the fire pit but they were well maintained and added a cozy vibe
- 101loisb (8/5): Expensive for what you get! - I was there for 5 nights at a workshop. The rooms were modern, bed comfortable. And a tiny refrigerator. There was only 1 drawer for clothes, which was not enough! The floors were swept, but not washed! Expensive for what you get. No breakfast.
- Liz (8/5): - The room was well decorated and furnished and had a fresh feel to it.
We liked The large bathroom area which looked newly refurbished was well stocked. It could however have done with a door to the sinks area to separate it from the bedroom.
Though we only had limited time we did make brief use of the pool and bikes.
It was a relatively short walk to restaurants and shopping area.
We were disappointed in the staff on reception when we arrived as they were not very helpful or welcoming but staff later in our stay were better.
- Molly (10/5): - We stayed here few nights ago and we loved everything about the property and location. The front desk staff was friendly and gave us some great tips on restaurant and activity options. The room was clean and modern and very quiet. We loved Chatham and would definitely come back.
- Gene (10/5): - The hotel and the grounds were extremely beautiful and clean. Our room was cleaned each day
The rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable and the room had dual sinks and a walk-in shower plenty of towels and 2 robes.
- John (10/5): - Room was clean, comfortable, modern. Bathroom - especially shower - spacious.
- Ardine (10/5): Five star stay - Pristine property and accommodations. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. No need to look anywhere else. Quiet, peaceful and so relaxing. Five stars all the way, through and through. Wasn’t one thing I would change. It was flawless.
- robert (10/5): - We would stay here again. The pool facility was beyond expectations. Plenty of furniture/seating, umbrellas and clean towels provided conveniently.
- Marie (8/5): - It was lovely! The room had some smashed crackers on the floor but was clean otherwise.
- Louis (10/5): - Loved it!
- Kristine (10/5): - My recent stay at Greyfinch Inn was very pleasant. Such a quaint and quiet place. The heated pool was enjoyable. The landscaping was immaculate. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very pleasant. I plan on returning next year. Great place at a great price.
- Marie (7/5): A Nice But Very Overpriced Motel - The room was very clean and the new walk-in shower was great. We appreciated getting an early check-in and a late check-out. The pool area and grounds are much improved -since our last visit - with more lounge chairs, umbrellas, attractive landscaping. (Though now there is one pool at the motel, not two). We love the location as we could walk to dining and shopping quite easily and it's also a quick drive to the beach. We also liked that there was an ice machine available. The Greyfinch is a motel, for starters. It is not an Inn in the traditional sense, though they call it one. We knew that from previous stays, but some people may not be aware. If you are expecting indoor common areas there are not any. There use to be tables and chairs outside of the room which was nice; now they are gone. If you are on the "other" side of the motel, there is a slight hill, so to bring your bags from the car you must lug everything up. On the "check-in' side you can pull your car right up to your room. Also, on the "other" side (which we were on) you only have picnic tables on the lawn which are uncomfortable and have no umbrellas. Lastly, the price was through the roof. We have enjoyed this place (previously Chatham Highlander) for so many years, we decided to go one last time, knowing it was now truly overpriced. We won't pay this again for a motel room. To add insult to injury, a Destination/Resort Fee of 30 bucks a day is added on, which seems quite ridiculous. This fee covered " lawn games, internet, parking" and many other things that should all simply come with a very high-priced room.
- Chanamolu (9/5): Superb -
- Traveler98358351 (10/5): Clean and bright Chatham hotel - Perfect and clean hotel right near Main Street Chatham. Loved the experience, pool, lawn games and all the little details. Will be back! Hard to find a spot like this in cape cod. Also loved the sister restaurant / inn for dinner and lunches. Top notch!
- Chantal (3/5): Not impressed with management or how they resolved my complaint. I would not stay again. - Location was great. Property has a heated pool, which we used. Relatively easy check-in at 3:30 PM but our the key cards did not work. I called the direct office number listed but no one picks up. The number on their website goes to a call center or the Wayside Inn, their sister property. No help here. I had load the car back up, walk back around to the office, and ask them to recode the room keys. Inconvenient, but, no problem, this sometimes happens.
Inside our room, we found hairs on the floor, on the shower walls, on the vanity. The room had not been swept or vacuumed, there were coffee spills around the coffee station, and dried food and beverage spills on the coffee table. We also found stains on the sheets. We were heading into town for shopping and dinner around 4 pm and stopped by the office to show the receptionist pictures and request a cleaning service. We were not asking for a new room on a busy July weekend, and we were not asking for reimbursement, but expected the room be clean when we returned from dinner around 8:45 pm. The coffee station and coffee table had been wiped down, but none of the other items were addressed. We learned that no manager is on duty at this property and no manager is on duty during the weekend at this or its sister property, The Wayside Inn. That was disappointing. The receptionist said she sent a total of three emails to the manager that evening and at 10:45 pm she brought clean sheets and helped me strip and make the bed.
The property offers free bikes but the combo for the bikes was not shared with us at check in. The office doesn’t open until 8 AM so we weren’t able to go for a 6:30 AM ride to breakfast.
A manager did not respond the emails or call me over the weekend. On Monday at 3 PM I made follow up calls to both properties. There is no direct number for either and the only way to get in touch is to send an email
- Jane (8/5): - Fabulous little property. Immaculately kept around the pool area and grounds and accommodation clean and modern. Great location for Chatham restaurants and shopping - just a quick two minutes in the car and plenty of parking. Would definitely return.
- johnbI4068BJ (4/5): Terrible value. - Make no mistake, this is a motel on Route 6A, not an "inn" in any sense.
While they did throw a lot of money at their renovation and the rooms are updated, it's a terrible value. For a single weekday night's stay, when they were done adding fees on top of fees, my room cost $422. To repeat, this is just a motel on 6A. As a guest, you can't help but feeling fleeced once you've checked out.
If they charged a reasonable room rate, this would be a reasonable motel. (And yes, I know the fees are imposed by others, but that's not an excuse.)
To the motel: don't bother responding to this message. I've read your other responses and they're ineffective, and bordering on insulting.
- Marie (1/5): this property had nicely renovated rooms. We were astonished when we arrived to find out that this was a. Item - The rooms very updated and nicely decorated This is not an Inn. This is a motel.
- Guan (10/5): - The property is conveniently located on Main Street of Chatham, with a fancy restaurant of walking distance. And within a few minutes of drive, there are more options of restaurants and shops. The room is nicely renovated, clean and spacious. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed our time.
- Jessica (10/5): - We were a few blocks from Veterans Field and Chatham shopping and dinning.
- Navigate56938920400 (10/5): Loved it! - We loved our stay at Greyfinch Chatham inn. The rooms were so nice and very clean. My son loved the pool and said the bed was so soft. Thank you for a great stay! The hotel is walking distance to the shops but we just drove and there was plenty of parking.
- Erika (8/5): - Very modern and updated inn. Room and facilities all very clean. Pool area was very clean and seemed newly done. Games in pool area were a fun bonus. Used the complimentary bikes for a morning. For practicality it would have been nice to have additional garbage cans in the room. Cost seemed high for the room but was probably a high season rate.
Location was good being far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough to walk.
- Heather (8/5): Real nice rooms and staff but…….i would look elsewhere and compare prices. - Clean, large room with lovely shower room.
Comfy chairs, desk and chair, TV - all you need for a comfortable stay.
Nice gardens with picnic tables close to your room. No breakfast, no dining room, no bar.
More like a motel than an Inn.
Extra charge for use of pool, outdoor seating, fire pit, bicycle even if you did not use any of these facilities! I felt it was a rip off!
- Joyce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jinny (9/5): Wonderful! - Location!!! My next door neighbors were a bit loud. Regardless, it was a great stay.
- Ilaria (10/5): Will definitely be back. - We were actually staying with our kids at an airbnb nearby for our summer vacation but decided we wanted to swim so we rented a room for the night and were very pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. It was maybe the cleanest and most well manicured hotel / inn / place I have ever been to. The grounds are impeccably manicured. The pool is perfect - heated but not a soup, and the surrounding trees make it feel very serene and secluded. They had several games on the lawn next to the pool that the kids played with for a little bit which was pretty cute. They had nice towels that felt clean and soft. The room itself was really lovely. I mean the inn is def bare bones in that it doesn’t have like any kind of restaurant or as far as i could tell room service or anything (it’s not a hotel so this makes sense) but for the price i think this place is awesome, i was very impressed. The room was chic and new and modern. The front desk lady was very nice. It was a really nice one day stay but would come here again for sure. Also the location is perfect as it’s right on Main St and about 2 mins to the center of town with all the shops and restaurants. Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): Convenient and charming choice in Chatham - Beautiful build out on the room. The beds were very comfy, the decor stylish. The wastebaskets could be a little bigger but everything was great. You can tell they put a lot of thought and time into things. I would recommend it fo friends and family.
- Matthew (9/5): Very comfortable with good location and great staff. - Only one thing…we could not open the windows which was bad and meant we were dependent on AC and felt stuffy in the room
- 1Stutzman1 (10/5): Family approved, best pool in Chatam - Our stay at The Greyfinch Chatam Inn was wonderful! The staff greeted us warmly and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view of the gardens.
The highlight was the beautiful pool and patio, offering something for everyone in the family. The inn's location was perfect for exploring Chatam, with shops, ocean walks, and dining nearby.
The staff was exceptional, providing helpful recommendations and even surprising our kids with a special treat. Overall, our time at The Greyfinch Chatam Inn was memorable and relaxing. We highly recommend it for families seeking a cozy and welcoming getaway. We can't wait to return!
- Arthur (10/5): - Very nice. New property. Didn’t expect that. Still excellent
- Lesma (9/5): Overall we had a great time there - Very clean and secluded. Bed was comfortable and I was happy for the extra pillows as my bad was hurting so they came in handy. There was no phone to call front desk
- Pippa (8/5): Comfortable stay in a lovely room :) - The rooms were lovely and at a very high standard. Fairly close to the main high street. Could be walked or easily driven. No kettle in the rooms!! It would have been nice to have breakfast included or an option for it at least.
- Andrew (8/5): Great Update - Great updated old motel turned into a stylish roadside inn in the heart of Chatham. We will be back.
- Dana (10/5): - This was the absolute best place to stay and we will be coming back. We loved the rooms, they were very clean and beautiful. The staff was excellent and very kind. The pool was amazing and so were the complimentary bikes. I wouldn’t change a thing! We only stayed for one night but wish we would’ve booked our whole trip here.
