• Tehila (9/5): Overall, it was a convenient and welcoming home base for our university tour! - Staying at the University Inn & Suites during our visit to ASU was a great experience for me and my teenagers. We booked two King rooms, the space was cozy, clean and tidy. Since we spent most of our days exploring the university and the surrounding area, the compact size was not an issue, the rooms served as the perfect, comfortable spot to recharge after a long day. The hotel is perfect location. It is very close to the ASU campus, local shops, hiking trails, and public transportation. The team was incredibly nice and accommodating. We arrived in the early morning, well before the official check-in time, and they allowed us to store our belongings at the office until our rooms were ready. Because of the central location, you can hear some noise at night from passing vehicles and people on the street. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs.

• Brian (10/5): - The staff was the best!! Water pressure and temperature were great. Small. Limited parking, probably less spaces than rooms so if everyone is driving a vehicle it becomes a problem. It's two story with no elevator. No breakfast no pool no working out. It's as basic as it can get I'd say amenities are on par with a motel 6 but the prices for a room are comparable to a Marriott.

• Karen (5/5): Great location and very good price, but I don’t think I will stay there again. - Location was PERFECT for checking out ASU. Restaurants and campus are a short walk away. Toilet kept refilling all night. It made a very loud grinding sound. Also, parking lot is right outside the window. We heard car alarms and people all night long.

My only negative was the piece of art hanging in the room, a strange print of a face staring out at me wherever I moved. An original piece of art appropriate to the region would have been lovely.

• Erin (10/5): Awesome place for a quick weekend show! - Booked this hotel to be walking (stumbling) distance from Gammage so we could really enjoy our show. It’s only a 5-10 minute walk from a bunch of great restaurants and SUPER close (3-minute walk) to a fun dinner place (Casey Moore’s) and a great coffee shop for breakfast. We even got tattoos since there is a tattoo parlor nearby. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We will book this for future shows! Parking lot is a little snug.

Basic, but nicely furnished. Very clean. Bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was appreciated, as was the coffee machine. I would stay again.

• Waterman De Alencar (6/5): Super affordable but you get what you pay for. - The location was excellent. The price was affordable. The night we arrived there was a John and prostitute getting busy in the parking lot. First impressions…. There was no overhead light in the room. And almost no natural light as the dumpster was right outside the window. The room was always very dark. There was no drawers to put clothes. The staff would come in to clean the room unannounced even though the service request tag was not placed on the door. I was not able to prepare for having someone in my room. The parking lot is poorly designed. When full it is nearly impossible to get your car out of its spot.
• Jason (10/5): - The property has unique decorations, bright with lively and bright colors. They have a "no bother" policy which means they will only come and knock or clean, if you ask them to. Otherwise, you have the place to yourself with no annoying knocks from the office or maids. The only downside is the office makes ALL visitors require ID at the front office upon check-in, so have it on hand. Photo ID must be within expiration. One of the greatest perks is that everything you need is within walking distance. There are an abundance stores, banks, food, entertainment, and accessible transit choices- the light rail, street car (located at the nearest corner), buses and rental e-scooters. And, if you want to see anyone or tour ASU, its very close to campus and on-campus housing. The general close proximity to west campus and Mill Ave- the area's food, entertainment, and nightlife hub- is great. It is one of the best spots you can stay at to tour campus, enjoy a musical, shop downtown Tempe, go out for a night of bar-hopping, or even rent a boat on the lake- while still having a quiet place to sleep at night. And a very welcome surprise is their late check out policy, which allows you to extend your check out as long as you want/need, at only $10/hr... which is great for mid-day flights or late sleepers.

• Jester (2/5): - I had one of the worst hotel experiences at University Inn Tempe. In the middle of the night, staff forced us to leave even though we had done absolutely nothing wrong. The repeated false alarms in the building created a stressful environment, and instead of addressing the faulty system, the staff treated us like we were the problem. To make things worse, they threatened us and showed no professionalism or courtesy. I felt completely disrespected and unsafe. No guest should ever be treated this way. I strongly do not recommend staying here—there are plenty of other places in Tempe where you’ll be treated fairly and actually get the rest and comfort you’re paying for.

When I told the front desk clerk he became rude and refused to call the manager after I requested to speak with him. They are refusing to give me a refund and I had to book a different hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone
• Jason (10/5): Just what I needed - This property lived up to previous reviews and photos. The rooms are furnished and decorated well. The shower in particular was especially nice. The property is adjacent ASU so there are loads of dining and entertainment options within a short walk. The rooms might be considered small by today’s standards however all I really need out of business accommodations are that they be clean, secure and relatively quiet. The rate was excellent for Tempe even in the middle of July. I would stay at this property again when visiting Tempe.

• Rk (8/5): Classic, clean & comfy roadside inn at ASU. - A nice 50s inn at the heart of ASU Tempe - walkable, safe, vibrant, lots of businesses (restaurants, fresh food markets, banks, grocery), green spaces, public transport, close to airport by light rail. The room was clean, quiet, minimally but nicely decorated. Had the basic amenities I needed (comfy bed, good shower, soft towels, charging outlets, a desk, chair, side lamps, coffee maker, parking space, good room temp control) or were desirable (TV, drawers, hanging space). Staff (Jennifer) was kind & helpful. Could be better: a second char, more lighting in the bathroom (around the mirror), an additional shelf by the sink for personal toiletries, a bit of darkening or privacy curtains (light shown thru the shutters)
