- Mark (8/5): Unvergesslich. - Klar, ich passe das an. Hier wäre die angepasste Version: Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel in der Nähe des Galata-Turm in Istanbul absolut genossen. Das Hotel war makellos sauber, die Zimmer wurden täglich perfekt gereinigt. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das freundliche Personal, das immer hilfsbereit und herzlich war. Die Lage war einfach perfekt, man konnte den Galata-Turm in kürzester Zeit erreichen und hatte einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt. Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen! Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

Everything is in excellent condition. Lovely King room, very well laid out, practical, perfectly maintained and with a high-end feel. The staff are truly fantastic and very attentive. The person from Brazil in particular provided service worthy of a 5-star hotel. We were able to change from a Queen room to a King room after speaking with the receptionist, who was very kind and attentive. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel like royalty, and they really succeed. We travel very regularly and have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and I must admit that the staff at this hotel are among the most dedicated and professional I have seen. Congratulations to the team and the management! Well done also to the housekeeping staff, as the hotel is spotless. The hotel is very quiet if your room faces the courtyard. If it faces the street, it is less quiet, especially as the window does not close properly. But for the area, the street is one of the liveliest in Istanbul, it is very quiet. Apart from the occasional scooter here and there, you will not hear any noise at night. Efficient and very quiet air conditioning. Ideal location around the Galata Tower area (which is very touristic), while still being peaceful. Reasonably priced minibar. We had an unpleasant surprise with the room we had booked on Booking: on Booking, the Queen room and the King room have the same photos, so you assume they are the same, but that is not the case at all. The Queen room looks like a narrow corridor with a small bed placed inside it, pushed up against one of the walls. It is a small, awkwardly shaped corner room. We were disappointed with the Queen room, but after changing to a King room, everything was great. NOTE: the mattress was not very comfortable. We both slept relatively poorly because of the mattress for all three nights in a row. The mattress in the Queen room was sagging, while the one in the King room was too firm. I would describe the breakfast as average. There were some Turkish specialities, but they were not particularly impressive. The orange juice was industrial-style nectar. This is not a breakfast for food lovers! We had seen comments saying that the breakfast was sumptuous, so we were disappointed. Nothing dramatic, and I think the vast majority of people will be fine with it, but they probably will not find it amazing either. It is a shame that there was no espresso-style coffee, only very diluted carafe coffee with almost no flavour. Overall, it is a good hotel that would have deserved a 10/10 if the mattresses had been more comfortable and the breakfast had been of better quality.

- Diana (9/5): - The hotel is located very close to the Galata tower (less than 5 min walk), plenty of restaurants around. The staff was polite and ready to help with any requests we had. Special shoot-out to Mike going above and beyond making our breakfast extraordinary. The breakfast has great selection of everything. The room was companct but very clean and newly refurbished. We really enjoyed our stay here! The street gets a bit loud towards the night but the noise dies after midnight. We did not find it too much disturbing but good to know.

The breakfast is one of the best offered in the area with a lot of health options. Mike who is the guest service manager was the highlight of my stay. He makes the hotel feel like home with a friendly face to talk to. Mike is extremely helpful, and makes sure everyone is taken care of.

- Filiz (4/5): - The staff at the second hotel La Porta was friendly. The view from the breakfast restaurant was wonderful. The receptionist at the Meroddi Bağdatlıyan welcomed us and gave us a dark and very small room, which looked very different from what I had seen on the booking.com website. I asked to change it. He said they have no available rooms and insisted that we'd have to pay extra charges for an upgrade. He called his boss and could not reach him. I rejected paying extra because I believe I had already paid a decent price for the room shown on the website. As I kept insisting, he finally agreed to arrange a room for us at La Porta, another hotel of their chain nearby, which was okay but still much lower than my expectations. The guest relations at the La Porta tried to make up with whatsapp messages and gifts. But all I wanted was the room I had paid for, nothing extra or different, which didn't happen. The street, where the room was facing, was also extremely noisy. It was hard to sleep at night.

The hospitality was excellent, and the staff was kind, professional, and always willing to assist. Communication throughout our stay was outstanding, especially with Mike, the hotel’s communication manager, who stood out for his attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care in making sure everything was perfect for us. On the downside, our initial room was not very bright and did not have separate beds, which did not fully match our preferences. However, Mike responded immediately and efficiently, arranging a room change very quickly and moving us to a much more beautiful and suitable room. We truly appreciated his prompt assistance and professionalism

- Marvin (10/5): - Wir hatten einen wirklich rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Mikel – er war außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend, stets freundlich und hat unseren Aufenthalt mit seiner Art wirklich versüßt. Solch ein Engagement erlebt man nicht überall. Auch das gesamte Team war überaus herzlich und hilfsbereit, sodass man sich von Anfang an willkommen fühlt. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt – zentral und ideal, um die Umgebung bequem zu erkunden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können dieses Hotel ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen!

Le petit déjeuner et super, il y a beaucoup de choix que ce soit sucré ou salé. Mohamed et Mike ont même déposé un gâteau d’anniversaire dans notre chambre, une bien belle attention. - Angela (10/5): Ein perfektes Hotel für eine Städtereise - Das Hotel war wirklich super und ist zu empfehlen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und perfekt. Das Frühstück war mega lecker und vielfältig. Sehr saubere Zimmer und ein allgemein sauberes Hotel. Der Service und die Betreuung der Gäste wurden zu 100% erfüllt. Das gesamte Hotel inkl. Personal von: Küche= Eine Dame deren Namen ich leider vergessen habe und der Ahmet über die Reinigung= ebenfalls zwei Damen bis hin zum Service = Mike und der Rezeption= Murat und Mehmet war alles sehr professionell. Man legt ebenfalls großen Wert auf die Umwelt, was wir sehr begrüßen. Wir sind mit drei Pärchen angereist und nach heutiger Rücksprache kann ich beruhigt sagen, dass es nichts zu beanstanden gab. Die Zimmer sind etwas kleiner, aber wir haben bewusst auch die unterste Kategorie gebucht, die dennoch sehr gut war und wir bei einer Städtereise keine Suiten benötigten.

The hotel staff were extremely polite and always willing to help. They even left us a small gift in the room—a very delicious dessert (thank you, Mike). The room we were given was very small, so even our suitcases didn’t fit comfortably. Perhaps it would have been better to provide a larger room for a 5-day stay.

The location is perfect—just 2 minutes from Galata Tower, with restaurants, shops, and exchange offices nearby. It’s about a 7-minute walk to Taksim Square, and the funicular, metro, and bus stations are all very close. The hotel is very clean, with daily housekeeping, including fresh linens, towels, and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast is rich and varied, and most importantly, the entire staff, working in shifts, are extremely professional and empathetic to guests’ needs—something you rarely find. Special thanks to Mehmet for all his efforts in making our stay so pleasant. If I return to Istanbul, I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

- PML (10/5): Very good choice for family vacation - This is a great choice for Istanbul. It is located a little farther from the heaving main tourist sites (but only 10-15 mins walk) but has its own liveliness and character. We found places to discover, enjoy, and eat effortlessly. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and were very generous with their time and attention. We were a family of 5.

- Adilya (10/5): Уютное место отличное для ночлега и быстрого доступа ко всем достопримечательностям и транспортным веткам - Отличное расположение отеля по соседству с Галатской башней. Недалеко имеется станция метро и трамвая, так же в 15 минутах ходьбы имеется морской порт. Сам номер небольшой и комфортный, но если у вас дети то этого пространства явно будет мало. Очень понравились целые упаковки шампуня, кондиционера для волос а так же Геля для душа в ванной. Имеется так же телевизор, небольшой шкаф и полки, холодильник и столик. Качественная уборка. Очень вежливый персонал, всегда идет на встречу и поможет с любыми вопросами. Не большой, но сытный и вкусный завтрак. На самом верхнем этаже есть терраса. Имеется лифт. По запросу выдают утюг. Окна не шумоизолированы, вы будете слышать даже малейшие звуки под окнами, такие как забор мусора в 6 утра. Но шум с Галатской башни не доходит. Так же столики на завтраке в зоне аварийного выхода чувствуются не комфортными по атмосфере и свету. Придется захватить свою зубную щетку и зубную пасту, так как в номере они отсутствуют.
- Külli (10/5): Hea koht! - Väga hea asukoht (vaatamisväärsused, söögikohad, kaubandustänav, funikulöör lähedal). Lennujaamatranspordiga sai otse maja ette sõita. Rikkalik hommikusöök. Pudelivesi toodi tasuta iga päev tuppa. Koristati hästi ja hoolitseti isegi liiga palju - iga päev uut seepi ja susse me ei oleks vajanud. Personal oli lahke. Mike oli eriti abivalmis. Väikesed tekkinud probleemid lahendati koheselt ja üllatati veel meeldivalt kingitustega.

Поняли что это шикарное месторасположение когда гуляли по части Стамбула где находятся все основные достопримечательности, и хорошо что жили мы не там. Завтрак однообразный, и для мясоедов очень пустой.
