• Stefanie (9/5): Super Hotelchef, super Frühstück - man fühlt sich willkommen - Wir waren eine Nacht im Hotel Destination 21 um auf die Düsseldorfer Messe zu gehen. Von hier aus super erreichbar. Der Hotelinhaber war super freundlich und stand immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite - selten das man sowas heute noch trifft. Wir wurden am Anfang herzlich begrüßt und uns wurde alles erklärt und gezeigt. Das Frühstück war super, eine ganz tolle Auswahl an den verschiedensten Dingen. Wenn wir die Messe wieder besuchen, dann kommen wir in Ihr Hotel zurück.

Myślę że jakby hotel nie znajdował się bardzo blisko Areny na którym odbywał się koncert David Guetta nie zamówiła bym tego hotelu. Bardzo mały pokój i okropna łazienka. Hotel ma taras i ogród ale niestety też bardzo zaniedbany. Krzesła mają chyba 30 lat a ogród zarośnięty. Szkoda. No i cena co do jakości. Właściciel nie inwestuje żadnych pieniędzy na remont. Za 220€ za noc bez śniadania to moim zdaniem jest wykorzystanie hotelu ze względu na lokalizację. A i jeszcze jedno- hotel znajduje się bardzo blisko lotniska także rano nie śpisz ze względu na hałas startujących i lądujących samolotów które startują naprawdę bardzo często.

• CandelariaDD (7/5): The hotel is only useful if you need to sleep near the stadium — - The hotel is only useful if you need to sleep near the stadium — which was our reason for staying, and for that purpose, it was very good. Other than that, it’s outdated. The headboard of the bed was damaged and looked old, and the cleanliness was “okay,” but not what I expected given the price per night. The man at reception was friendly at first, but at the end of our stay he got upset because we paid for the city tax with card, as that meant he had to print one more piece of paper… We explained that we don’t usually carry cash, and he said, “Well, in Germany it’s done this way ” In short, it was an argument we avoided having because he was simply an old man, and we decided to leave without saying anything. Still, he was quite stubborn during check-out. The hotel hasn’t been modernized. It was fine, but too expensive for what it offers.

Nähe zur Merkur Spiel-Arena Es war recht laut durch die morgens startenden Flugzeuge. Keine Möglichkeit im Bad die Handtücher aufzuhängen. Die große Preisdifferenz zwischen „normalen Tagen“ und Tagen mit Event in der Arena.

• Miyuki (9/5): Very cute Hotel - We stayed this hotel for the event, this hotel is very cute, It was actually been an old house before it just give me a nostalgia feeling. The decoration is old fashioned its adorable. Very friendly owner, he can speak English well enough, he makes sure that we are satisfied with everything we need, he even offer a ride to bring us to the event me and my fiancé go, super super kind of him! :) Breakfast was delicious, a friendly lady asks if we want eggs every morning and makes delicious ones as well and the cleaners clean the rooms very well too, its always clean, compliments to the staff for sure! :) Our room is spacious and comfortable and everything we need, with a shower room is also very cute design, we got two fans since it was very warm in our room during that time which was also very kind of the owner. The area of this hotel is nice, super market is close by and also a restaurant as well, the tram station is also close by and is handy since is also close by the airport, the planes passing by didn't really bother us, we like planes! :) Thank you for taking good care of us! :D Although I personally don't like to write something less positive or things we don't like, I would like to help the owner with some advices: During the summer, the room gets very very warm and humid that is unbearable to sleep, even we have the fans already, it blows only hot air out. The owner mentioned he couldn't set up an aircon since its too expensive which it is very understandable, but it is really needed for these types of rooms to have an aircon during the summers. I hope for him in the future he might afford an aircons in the rooms! :) I also like to the mention it that this hotel is an old house before so the sound proof isn't there of course (Gladly we didn't hear anyone much since our room is up floors!) We stayed for 4 nights there, we booked this place like a year ahead for the event, it was very pricy for my opinion but it was because of this event and the football championship going on that time in Düsseldorf so many places are fully booked already so this was our only option! SInce is also close by an airport you hear a lot of planes of course ( it didn't really bother us ) but just wanted to heads ups to future travelers who don't like loud plane sounds passing by.

Mini bar drinks included in room price, which is nicely stocked. - Owner personally drove us to the airport (which is a nice touch). Myself and my girlfriend stayed for one night to attend the Beyoncé concert and this was exactly what we were looking for; clean, friendly staff and close to the Esprit Arena. Highly recommend this hotel! We had a fantastic stay. We can't stress enough how nice the people who run this hotel are :)
• Langkapura (8/5): Friendly professional staff, great breakfast and good clean rooms. - This hotel is located close to the Dusseldorf airport and is easy to reach by car. We noticed, directly on arrival, how friendly and professional the staff is. This hotel has 14 rooms. The rooms are very clean, and have a good bed and nice furniture. There is a minibar and LCD TV. Also the bathroom is quite big and has a hairdryer, a good shower and is also very clean. Fast and free Wi-Fi is available The breakfast is more than complete, with fresh fruit, different kinds of bread and very good coffee. Parking is included and there is a free shuttle service to the airport. Our opinion is: Highly recommended.
• PeterEijsbouts (8/5): do give this place a try! - Had an early morning flight from DUS airport and was looking for a place to stay over. Never heard of this place before but based on price and reviews decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! Hotel owner greeted me personally upon arrival and showed me to my spacious room. Very good bed, nice and super clean bathroom, fast enough wifi. Breakfast in the morning was plenty. If you want you can leave your car at the hotel during the trip and uwe will bring you to the departure. All in all a place to return to.
• NoSiriusly (10/5): Unsurpassed Hospitality - I booked this hotel for my elderly parents who were traveling from the United States for a relative's funeral. My mother was particularly distraught. I decided they needed one night upon arriving in Duesseldorf to recoup before continuing to the north via rental car. I cannot say enough about the hospitality of the proprietor, Herr Post, and his colleague, Benjamin. From the phone call to arrange the room to Herr Post driving them to the car rental agency, everything was top notch. Herr Post greeted my parents' taxi and helped them tremendously. He had picked a particular room based on the needs I had described to him. He allowed for very early check-in, a welcome respite for weary trans-Atlantic travelers. My parents could not believe that Benjamin prepared them a delightful breakfast -- even though the breakfast hour had already ended (and they had not yet spent the night there!) My mother is German and quite particular (as am I) about cleanliness. She reported that the conditions were impeccable. My American father remarked on the comfort. Both raved about the friendliness and eagerness to meet guests' every desire. They said they felt like they were staying with friends. "We'll write them a great review online," they said. (Read: "Make sure you write a great review for us," haha!) My parents booked another room for the night before their early return flight to the States. (It is a mere 2 km from the airport.) You should not hesitate booking here yourself.
• mruth1956 (10/5): Welcome! - We were greeted at the door by the very helpful and interested owner who carried our luggage to the room, made sure we had still water in the room to drink, checked to see when we would need to be at the airport and even offered to make sandwiches since we would miss breakfast that day. My husband loved to sit and relax in the spacious backyard and chat with him while smoking his cigar. One evening we came back with bottled cokes to drink and glasses were immediately brought to us. I was concerned about the noise from the airport but air traffic stopped at a reasonable time and we had no trouble sleeping. I would definitely return.
• Pisendel (10/5): Great proximity to airport - Plenty of free parking. We were greeted by the incredibly helpful owner who helped carry our luggage. All beverages in the room - wines waters sodas etc are gratis. The room was small but quite adequate to move around in. Bathroom was spotless and the shower water pressure was the best of our entire trip. Breakfast buffet was very generous with multiple cheeses meats breads cereals fruits and vegetables juices yogurts. The host will also make any eggs you like to order. Well worth the 10€ cost pp. This was the last hotel on our 10 day trip and a very nice way to end. A gasoline station to refill your rental car is only a half mile from the hotel (turn left and go to a roundabout; the station is one of the roundabout exits ). To get to the airport (7 minutes) you turn right from the hotel and then at the next light turn right but beware you MUST immediately get two lanes over to get into the straight ahead lanes to the airport. If you don't you will find yourself forced to turn right onto a highway. Not a total disaster- just stay to your left and eventually you will see an opening that allows a u turn and then follow the signs back to the airport.
• JFranklin46 (10/5): Sanctuary of quiet and bliss - The bedroom was well appointed and comfortable and had a great bed and mattress. Room was on the ground floor and coffee and juice were included at breakfast or you can have a full breakfast for 10 euro. The Herr was very polite and acommodating and took my husband to a local take out restaurant to buy food for an evening meal and offered us beer or other drink and set the table in dining room. He also drove us to the airport in the morning as a courtesy no charge. It was clean and breakfast staff person was cheerful and funny.He even came out to say good by and wish us a good trip. The only thing that was missing was a lift to the upper floor as you are expected to carry your luggage upstairs.

Herr Post is clearly an example of comforting guests!
• 547KenH (10/5): A wonderful experience! - We were very impressed with hotel and the wonderful service we received by the owner and Benjamin, the desk manager. The owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us to the room and explained all its features. He then directed us to a nearby restaurant, Ikaros, where we enjoyed a very good schnitzel dinner. Cleanliness and completeness of room amenities were second to none. A bonus was the "shuttle" service to the nearby airport in the morning, provided by the owner. I would not hesitate to stay at Destination 21, again.
• Kymmy16w (10/5): Excellent customer service! - We stayed here for one night in October 2014. My husband and I were blown away by the hospitality of the owner and staff. It is maybe a 5 minute ride from the airport. We arrived late after our luggage was misplaced. The owner greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. The room was very clean, in excellent shape, and very modern. Around 6am you can start to hear the planes. It's really not that bad, just close the windows. You can hear it, but it's not enough to keep me up. The next morning Benjamin greeted us and made us breakfast. Everything tasted great. Then the owner drove us to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near the airport. Most hospitable staff I have ever encountered at a hotel.

• mistravel (8/5): Lovely room on the runway! - This is a charming place within 5 minutes or so of the airport / 8 euro cab fare. Perfect for early morning departure or late arrival The owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. We loved our room on the third floor. It had a great bathroom with walk in shower. One of the best of our entire trip to Slovenia, Croatia and Southern Italy. This was our last stop on our flight home and we had early departure to Frankfurt. We were very worried, as always, about over sleeping and missing our flight, so we requested a wake up call for insurance. We were reassured we would be awake anyway, but a wake up call would be provided! Well at 6AM or so when the first plane took off from the airport we were up and not going back to sleep! One departure every few minutes and all sounding like they were going thru the room!. Maybe it should be call Runway 21! After dressing and going to breakfast we noticed no airplane noise on the first floor. This issue might be limited to 3rd floor rooms only. At any rate- we love our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and the host very helpful. Included in the rate is a drop off at the airport which is a nice, thoughtful touch. Breakfast is very good and included eggs cooked to order which we really craving! I would stay again, honestly.
• bruechm (10/5): Beautiful - Starting the experience at the arrival with a handshake of the owner and his excellent staff, very helpful and always interested to satisfy all wishes of the guests. Rooms are clean and the beds are in a very good condition. Sleeping means relaxing. The checkout is only to say goodbye until the next visit. In the past I was guest in many hotels, but Destination 21 is not only a hotel, it its a home. Beautiful. Thanks
