- James (10/5): Very nice hotel only a short walking distance from the heart of downtown Lima! - El Tambo was very nice! It was in a fantastic part of town right in downtown Lima. The staff were extremely friendly and the hostess even gave me a map with all of the cool local parks, bars, restaurants, and sights nearby all within walking distance which was great! The place was clean, the room was really comfortable, and overall we very much enjoyed it. The hotel restaurant closed quite early the Wednesday night we stayed. I came back to the hotel from checking out a local bar around 9:30pm and I thought it would still be open to order food but the hostess said the kitchen was closed. This would be the only qualm, maybe having the restaurant open a bit later. Otherwise it was a great stay!

- Nicola Messina (8/5): Lima - Hotel pulito e accogliente, camera pulita e abbastanza confortevole. Acqua calda e ottimo wifi anche se il modem era sotto il letto e quindi poco salutare. Staff cortese ed educato. Acqua potabile nel corridoio. Letti un po' corti, cuscini alti e duri, due prese in tutta la stanza. Molto rumore all' esterno dai palazzi di fronte che avevano musica ad alto volume la notte. Rumore al piano al mattino presto perché gli addetti alle camere iniziano presto a lavorare. Insomma non proprio quiete come qualche recensione dice ma forse avranno avuto camere migliori. Problemi con la luce ma risolta dopo un' ora di attesa.

Cuando nos dimos cuenta en ese mismo momento (al comparar con la reserva en booking), intentaron devolvernos el importe a través de la tarjeta, pero no se podía (numerosos intentos). Dimos la opción de darnos la diferencia de precio en USD en efectivo, pero parecían no estar muy de acuerdo (nos decían que no había efectivo en el hotel). Finalmente, el día que nos íbamos, querían darnos una parte en USD y otra en soles (por lo que nosotros salíamos perdiendo). Al no estar nosotros de acuerdo, nos lo dieron todo en USD…

I am really sorry that we could only stay one night. Regarding the location it is 10-15 minutes walk to the ocean. If you need to go to the center you need a taxi or public transport. We felt absolutely safe in the neighborhood.

- Elder Rodriguez (10/5): Estadía familiar más que agradable! - Fue una agradable estadía familiar de 2 noches, el hotel es bonito y tiene un diseño agradable en su interior, la habitación muy cómoda y con un amplio ventanal que daba hacia los árboles de la calle colindante. El desayuno buffet fue exquisito y variado, en mi caso junto a mi hermana atendimos a nuestros padres, los colaboradores de producción alimentaria del hotel estuvieron atentos para poder abastecer conforme los huéspedes se servían. Asimismo, agradezco que la señorita de cocina me haya facilitado platos y cubiertos para una cena en la habitación, me gustó ese detalle. Los pasadizos muy bien iluminados y dormimos cómodos porque había aire acondicionado en la habitación sin ruidos que interrumpan y los colchones confortables. En el servicio higiénico nos colocaron las toallas necesarias para los 4 diariamente. Incluso un inconveniente con el control remoto fue atendido pronto por el técnico del hotel. Finalmente, tanto al ingresar como al salir del hotel, tuvimos el apoyo del Señor Yuri de Seguridad Interna del hotel, muy amable el caballero. Todo estuvo a la altura de lo esperado, incluso superado.
- Kathrein (10/5): Das Hotel war für das, was ich in Lima vorhatte, sehr passend, angenehm und freundlich. - Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Lage war für mich perfekt, weil ich gern an der Meerespromenade spazieren gehe und es von dort nicht sehr weit ist. Außerdem ist man schnell in der Av. José Larco zum Einkaufen. Ich hätte generell gern etwas mehr Gemüse zum Frühstück und auch zu den Mahlzeiten.
