• Amiee (6/5): - The bathroom sink leaked terribly, the bed had a LIVE spider under the comforter and there were cigarette burn marks in the blankets. Lady at the front desk was nice though. This is definitely a one night stay place if you need something cheap for the night.

• Michael (10/5): Great place to stay ! - The host was super nice and accomodated our needs/request for an extension cord and help to print something. The beds were super comfortable and clean. I was especially grateful for the hot water since many places don't have that. The location is close to restaurants and stores.
• Clarence (4/5): - The place where I stayed was not clean those cracks the Walls bathroom doors broke the shelf in the bathroom was pitiful. I would not recommend that motel for anybody. I guarantee you I checked out earlier than planned. I travel with Expedia I would not recommend them to my worst friend worst enemy or anybody or family. This place is not fit for a dog seem to think of this. There was a dog next-door to barked all night long. You asked for the truth you have the truth thank you very much for your time. Bye.

• Katelyn (6/5): Rating - The stay was okay except for the fact that you couldn't reach the WiFi from the hotel room you had to go outside just to get WiFi.

Bad: Manager left us outside in the freezing cold to get checked in (bizzaro), asked for a non-smoking room but she thought I said smoking room. She said go ahead and smoke everyone else does. I corrected her and she said, no you have a non-smoking room, the others are smoking room - did a poor job of lying. Placed needed some maintenance.
• Dawn (10/5): Quick sleep - It was a small quaint room. We stopped to sleep for the night. So it met our needs. But the toilet seat was loose. It was a quiet place.

• Paula (2/5): - Should be CONDEMNED!!! I booked the last hotel room available in the town. I knew booking this it was not a high quality hotel but thought we only needed a few hours of sleep and a shower in the morning. I got much mor than that. I was greeted by a extremely outdated motel with a less than secure door that was too filthy to touch with my bare hand and a threshhold cover with some sort of insect poison. Hoping the curb appeal was just bad, we entered and found what horror movies are made of. Outdated furniture, walls and ceiling that were patched, the floor was falling through in one area. There appeared to be a blood stain on the front window curtain that was barely hanging. There was brown smudge marks inwhich i could only guess to be some sort of feces. The ac was not working and had mold in vents. There was an office chair that looked to have urine stains on it and a lounge chair that appeared to be pucked up from the side of the road. I built up the courage to look in the bathroom where i found broken light fixture, a mirror so dirty my image was blurry, an air vent caked with mold, and a half bathtub that was so dirty and stained it looked like someone rebuilt a transmission in it recently. Some other room doors were open wide and people "hanging out". Needless to say we took key back to desk clerk, expressed our concerns to only get offered another room, which i am guessing it was one of the best rooms. Only thing missing here was a chalk outline of a body.

• John (2/5): - Our room had a terrible smell, my wife was having trouble with the AC blowing on her head. I tried to adjust, but the AC grill came off in my hand. I could see inside the AC, it was full of mold. the bathroom door was damaged.

And the door would not lock completely. The dead bolt would not lock, no matter how hard we tried. Cleaner, everything working, smelled moldy.

There was an available four slice toaster, microwave and ice maker in the office, there was also a coffee machine but it was out of order. The price was very affordable.
• Hailey (4/5): - There was mildew in the bathroom. Water damage on the back wall. I seen a few riches in the bathroom and one was crushed on the wall and left. There is dirt on the doors and foot marks on the front door.

The bathroom didn't lock, the beds felt like an air mattress, and the bathtub was absolutely disgusting. The floor of it was gross and the curtain was discolored and molding in one of the corners. It was only a little worse than I expected. Would I suggest it to someone, not without letting them know what they're getting. Would I go back, only if money was really tight.

There was no hairdryer, may have gotten one of asked, but didn't. We're remodeling our house, so we just needed a bed and shower for the night. Great price. There are not enough towels in the room.

Went to office and got 2 rolls. Shower was black and slimy. Office just said there were housekeeping issues. We were put into another room that was a little better. Bathroom floor need to be swept. We slept in our clothes and used our own pillows since it was late and left first thing in the morning.

• Louise (10/5): One Motel that I would stay at again - We went to the motel expecting the worse, but we were really surprised. The room was clean. Nice beds, refrigerator, microwave, and tv. Enjoyed the tv throughout the night after the concert. We just had a problem with the lid on the stool which the staff fixed it right away. The roof leaked with really slow drips, but notified the staff. After being soaking wet from the concert, a little drip of water didn't hurt a thing. The beds were comfortable and the staff gave us all an extra pillow. The price was one of the cheapest in town during the rodeo and concert. I know that reviews are important, I even looked for the reviews first before booking it. I am glad that I didn't dwell on the negative reports. I would stay there again.

• Craig (6/5): - This is an old school motel and is cheap (so take that into consideration). That doesn't bother me when going on fishing trips as ling as the bed is decent, room is clean and bed linens are clean. Bed linens looked questionable.

He chased me down to let me know he had refilled the creamer and sugar at the coffee station, and he was quick to follow us to the door and make sure we could work the key. Could not have asked for a better staff at what was just the average river town motel. Leave the window open and you can save yourself a hundred bucks or so, by staying here.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty - We arrived and there were no towels in our room, called and they brought them over. The whole area is pretty sketchy but it’s Fort Madison, where isn’t it. The longer we stayed the more we noticed how gross everything was. The only good thing was we ended our trip short due to a concert bailing out and they refunded us our last night with less than 24 hour notice. Non the less, we will not be staying at this motel again. To gross. Also the bed was very uncomfortable, King size bed and my husband and I had to sleep in the dead middle because if you were close to the side it felt like you were going to roll off.

Bathroom had mold growing on ceiling and in shower. Disgusting. We did not use the shower. Bathroom door would not close properly. Bed was okay. Pillows flat. If you aant no frills, this is definitely it.

But it didn’t smell. Room was not warm, was 62 when I got there and 3 hours later the chill was finally gone but I had temp on 80, turned it down to 78 when I went to bed and never got hot all night. Bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep.

The bathtub mat and shower curtain was speckled brown and yellow. There was a toenail in the bed and a beer can under a second bed. We were planning to stay in the three bed room but we left because it was terrifying and the only clean thing was the toilet interestingly. The man who checked us in was very nice and explained everything well. It was just the room.

We also had a really scary experience with someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night and staff was really good to call the police and get it taken care of. However, the rooms were dirty (especially the carpet), the sink was cracked, the TV remote didn’t work and it smelled bad. When I left feedback, the owner said that I was a liar. I do not recommend staying here!

Owner (or the attendant who insisted he was the owner) struggles with basic English, but promised us a full refund if we felt uncomfortable in any way. He lied and refused to refund our room when we discovered how filthy it was. Such a nightmare. Read the google and yelp reviews, they tell the truth. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

On the good side, the bed was fine and all the plumbing worked and the breakfast was OK, albeit skimpy. There might be nicer places in the area for close to the price.

• Bob (2/5): Reminds me of the Bates Motel - I asked when I checked in if I didn't like the room we were given if we could change. The response was "We're almost full, so it will be difficult." How ever we noticed no more than three cars in the parking lot during our entire stay. The room was full of flies. I killed at least 15 flies the first night. The bathroom had a large hole in the floor at one corner of the bath tub which had been stuffed with old towels. The ice machine was broken and they suggested we go down to the nearest service station to get ice. I don't recommend that anyone use this motel !!!!
