The location is very convenient, close to everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful, and relaxing. Everything was great, we didn’t have any major issues.

Cool water in the pool was a bliss with 99F outside. Sam's genuine hospitality can't be replicated! I can think of almost nothing... perhaps the kitchen/bath lights could be a tad brighter, but it's just me (my low-light vision is clinically compromised).
• Paul (10/5): It was perfectly adequate for the same-amenity price hardly offered by anyone else in the area. - The room was perfectly clean. The beach is 5 minutes of walking away. Sam was nothing but an epitome of exceptional hospitality and leaving no stone unturned to ensure that we would have no issues with anything. Perhaps a more upscale and/or quiet AC unit and a larger toilet seat could be beneficial, but we also understand for the QPR this facility offers it might be wishful thinking.

Every unit has a full kitchenette with lots of nice amenities - a stove & oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes & utensils. Very comfortable bed & a beautiful walk-in shower. Sam, the owner, is an AMAZING & personable host. He’s so kind & helpful & is very interesting to talk to. Pelican By the Sea is a small 12 unit complex so you get lots of personal attention if you want. It’s an older building and I would highly recommend considering the location & the price.

The owner was very friendly and informative about the location of his property. He made many upgrades to all of the rooms. The shower needs something to prevent the water from leaking onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise the property is wonderful.

The manager Sam was super friendly and helpful, truly makes you feel welcome and wants to make sure you have everything you need. It was nice that the pool was heated and has a grill and lounge chairs poolside. I appreciated having the kitchen with a full refrigerator, not the typical tiny beverage refrigerator you usually get in most studios. Nothing, everything was as advertised.

He personally took us to our room and showed us around the room to point out its amenities. So, we felt very welcome from the start. Our room was nicely renovated and was comfortable for 2. The hotel's location is an easy short walk to the beach. All-in-all we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back if we are going to be back for an overnight in the area.

The walk to the beach was short, and the pier isn't far away at all. The neighborhood was quiet and I didn't worry about parking the rental car in the lot. Honestly, the perfect spot for my young son and I to spend our first 'real' vacation. :)

With updated tile shower. It is a short trip to restaurants and shopping. Sam who runs the property was extremely attentive to our needs and communicated well with us. would highly recommend.

• Jon Olsen (8/5): Would stay again - My wife and I stayed an overnight weekend visit and really enjoyed it. The rooms have been renovated, new floor, new furniture, small kitchen, new tile and doors in the bathroom. The location is great. Only walking distance to the beach and some great places to eat. Check in is made great by a great person to talk to. Sam the manager is an easy going person to deal with and a very positive attitude. He showed us to the room and made sure that the door locks were working and he greeted us and everyone else that was staying there by name. Very positive place. The only negative I can think of was the AC unit. I'm not sure if I didn't turn it on correctly or what but the room did not feel as cold as it should have. It still worked which was good. I would definitely stay here again.
