Self- check-in was hard and I couldnt get the doors to open. With no staff on site overnight I felt a little scared. I needed a few things but didn't want to call the emergency line.

- Frank (10/5): - It was awesome, the Hotel is full of classic charm, so clean you can eat on the floor, super comfortable bed and room, the Hotel is next door to the Pascagoula Police Hq, law enforcement personnel entering and exit the PD at all times day and night, Talking about a secure place to stay! And Mrs. Evelyn (a member of the staff) was one of the most helpful and friendly person I have ever encountered during my travels! I strongly recommend the Hotel to everyone who want to experience something more than regular Hotel chains!
- Sterling (10/5): Everyone should stay here when visiting Pascagoula - Check-in was seamless. Very easy directions to use the keypad and we got in right away. It is very quaint and beautiful. Very homey feel. Miss Evelyn met us this morning and was a gem to visit with and get to know. She very politely offered us coffee and/or breakfast. Very friendly. Made sure we had cleared out before she started cleaning the rooms we had stayed in.

I was a bit upset that I arrived for my three night stay without check in information being provided. I arrived at the house with no one there. I called the number posted on the door and was connected to voicemail. I received a return call fairly quickly and was provided information as to how to access the house and my room (locks are digital). My friend was meeting me the next night so I was also provided the entrance code for her room. After getting settled, I wanted to leave some things for my friend in her room. I used the access code provided only to open the door to find that another guest was in the room! Apparently, the digital codes are NOT changed between guests! This was unsettling given I was alone and would spend the 3rd night of my stay completely alone in the house. I realize this may be a Chicago mentality, but it made me feel unsafe. There is no breakfast (other than some snack bars and fruit in the kitchen) and no housekeeping. There was plenty of water bottles and ice.

I loved being in quiet old town in walking distance to some restaurants and the general vibe. In the front parlor I enjoyed flipping through the pictorial history book to get a sense of the area. The restaurant recommendations were helpful. Fried fish at "Bozo's Too" shown Everything was spotless, clean and secure.

- Jill (4/5): You Can Do Better Than This Place - It’s a beautiful house, but the website neglected to include some important information. First, the Grand Ballroom is right next to the house across a very small courtyard. Our room overlooked the courtyard, so for two nights in a row we were unable to get to sleep before midnight because people partied (loudly!) in the courtyard until quite late, which kept the tree frogs going. The sound they made, combined with the sound of people shouting and partying right under our window, was nightmarishly loud. Some people in the courtyard smoked, so we had to deal with allergy-inflaming cigarette smoke drifting into our room. Second, the website did not include information about the sound of freight trains barreling past the house all night, blowing their whistles and shaking the floor and bed. Third, and most importantly, the website did not explain lain that there is no housekeeping service. No beds made, no fresh towels, NOTHING. I found candy wrappers on the nightstand when we arrived. Our towels never dried, and there was never anyone around to ask for fresh towels—and, again, there was absolutely no maid service. For $170 a night, I expect fresh towels and a made bed, not candy wrappers on the nightstand when we arrive.

- Adreina (9/5): I absolutely love this place. - It was located in a good place, very beautiful historical house. A great getaway spot. Very private. Not anything I didn’t like about the property but one floor plank in the Charleston Square should be secured in place. It’s going into the bathroom.
- Eric (8/5): Charming place to stay - Arrived at house with dedicated guest parking, pretty house with history and charm. Beautiful woodwork and high ceilings. Convenient kitchen with nice appliances, ice machine, coffee, pastries in the morning. Straight run off somewhat steep and narrow old stairs lead to most of the rooms on the 2nd floor. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a change of pace. Close to restaurants.

The only had coffee to drink. There were multiple rooms who also were disappointed with the breakfast. We were told they were no longer serving what was advertised. When we booked it was advertised, which is one reason we picked it. So if you’re looking for a place with a continental breakfast, this is not it. I did email and express my disappointment, with no reply from the owners.

The breakfast is only a grab and go whereas other places we’ve been had a lovely sit down breakfast with fresh fruit. Beautiful and comfortable room and bed. Brady’s Steak and Seafood is close, tasty, and fresh.

- Chatelain (10/5): A peaceful and charming place to stay when in the city! - It was peaceful and everyone was very nice. We hung out with a dear old friend during our stay and we truly enjoyed the place. Was also a perfect distance for us three to go hang out and sing karaoke at our favorite bar that night. Good restaurants like Bozos Too was close. Got in really late Saturday night and the darkening room curtain in Key West was broken so the light came in brightening up that room earlier than we would have wanted. But no worries… it would not affect us choosing this place again.

- Frederic (8/5): Charming location, fun property, easy to find. - It was a very charming property. The rooms were nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the communal areas (e.g. kitchen, dining room, parlor), where we had a wonderful time chatting with other friendly guests. We also ended up catching the tail end of a nice folk concert (Mac McAnally) at the Grand Magnolia Ballroom on the same property (not too noisy at all if you're not attending), which they just let us wander into since it was in the last 30 minutes or so. We traveled with our 13 and 10 year old boys, and preferred to stay together in a single room. We got a nice room, but the extra bed provided was a leaky queen air mattress that ended up flat each morning (a minor and easy problem to solve for the next guest). The sole bathroom could benefit from having better ventilation, as it became humid and dank after all four of us showered.

In addition, the Innkeeper even went the extra mile to secure us a handicapped-accessible room -- even at a moment's notice. She adroitly swapped rooms with another resident, ensuring my wife's ambulatory needs were met!

- Karen (4/5): A bit disappointed and overpriced - Arranged trip for a vacay for a bowling tournament. Friend and I requested a queen a king size bed, which was what was was booked on the Hotel.com site. This is, however not what we received. The room looked nothing like what was presented on the site and was much smaller than what we expected. The TV didn't work, the bed was squeaky and could be heard with every movement that was made while you were in it. The light wasn't working in the bathroom, 1 towel, no soap, like warm water, no access to roll-away bed, not enough room for a couch to be placed, no place for you to place you clothes, basically it was worse than living in a dorm room. I wouldn't recommend unless you have no other choice. Not for the price we paid, I felt it was not worth it. I would give it 1and half star ⭐. But everyone has there own taste and unfortunately this wasn't mine

- Derrik (10/5): Pretty quiet and wonderful place to stay. - We put this as a last minute along our stock to Dustin. We did not really know what to expect, but we absolutely love this place. We were able to meet the owners of this wonderful bed-and-breakfast. And they’re a lovely couple. We did not end up having breakfast, we just went into town to get something to eat. But I room and the staff are absolutely amazing.
- Carol (4/5): - The advert says breakfast. A tiny muffin, a bagel, fruit loops or grits, no milk only creamer. There were 3 brown soft bananas & 2 oranges, 1 bad. On arrival it said water, soda, snacks & coffee were available. No soda, no snacks & no regular coffee, only coffee at breakfast. No toiletries in room, a tiny open conditioner in a basket on the staircase & a note where a shop was to purchase our own…Wanted to keep updated on Florida hurricane Ian, 2 tv remotes, neither worked. Contacted the owners, Amy & Richard twice, received no reply from either. Expensive when we had to provide our own breakfast, snacks or toiletries!! Very disappointed!!! The 2 ladies we met at breakfast were very nice, but said not the owners.

- donnakS1821KX (2/5): Never again! - Pros: beautiful, clean property. Nice antiques. Safe, across the street from police station. Cons: juice and coffee, instant oatmeal & grits, OLD tiny cinnamon rolls and leftover dinner rolls, old bagels, and butter. COVID the excuse for not having decent food. Save time and go to Waffle House down the street. Tiny bar of soap in the shower, no shampoo and conditioner- unless you remember to grab a small bottle down the hall (BEFORE you’re wet and IN the shower). WORST pillows ever! So the price was “inexpensive” for what should qualify as a B&B but we would rather spend a few dollars more and have better food and a comfortable place to sleep.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Grand Magnolia was a large older home built in 1894 on a quiet street corner. The Pascagoula Police Dept is right across the street, so you feel perfectly safe. It was full of beautiful furnishings and you just felt relaxed and peaceful while there. Even though there were other guests staying at the same time, we never heard a sound. Our room was so nice with a king sized bed, sitting area, very nice clean bathroom and a closet to hang our clothes. We'll definitely return for another stay.

- Ambassador231153 (10/5): Highly Recommend - I recently stayed at the Grand Magnolia for five nights. It was a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone planning a visit to Pascagoula or the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The property and the rooms are absolutely beautiful and not to mention spacious. It embodies history and charm while also offering modern amenities. The staff and service are excellent and beyond accommodating. Importantly, it is perfectly located in town and walking distance to most of Pascagoula's restaurants and downtown area.

- Verified traveler (10/5): A Truly Rejuvenating Experience - I booked Grand Magnolia because a little weekend getaway was much needed. Some of the other reviews may give somewhat harsh ratings because of the breakfast. It may be best to think of this as a “boutique hotel” with a little something in the morning to jumpstart your day. That said, nothing in the photos could have prepared us for just how grand this old 1894 Queen Ann house was. In fact, we had it to ourselves as the innkeeper isn’t on site. The self-checkin was super simple and the room (Old Savanah) was absolutely amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s walkable to a decent restaurant for dinner and a glass of wine on the rocking chair on the wrap around porch was just what the doctor ordered to rejuvenate the spirit from the humdrum of daily life... right down to the super sweet, friendly kitty’s that hopped in our laps and purred their hearts away as we rocked away our troubles. Another review also complained about the toiletries... sure they aren’t Lush or Crabtree and Evelyn but, one who really uses hotel soaps anyway? Besides, they offered one thing I’ve never experienced even in the nicest of hotels... DECENT TOILET PAPER!! You won’t find any sandpaper at the Grand Magnolia! So it you’re expecting a full service breakfast and designer toiletries, go elsewhere. If you want charm, hospitality, and a chance to experience something exceptional, stay here! Your soul (and bum) will thank you.

You can do better for the price.
- dgboyd46 (10/5): Excellent - Excellent place to stay! A beautiful antique home with all the furnishings and ambiance and character and service one would expect of an 1894 southern mansion. Miss Amy and Miss Evelyn provide wonderful service without being intrusive, which I like. Rooms were tastefully decorated with appropriate antiques but provided all the necessary amenities. I will stay here often and would recommend it to anyone.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was nice and well laid out. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. The B&B is well maintained with well manicured grounds.

- Explorer800920 (10/5): Last minute reservation in Cape Cod Suite - I booked a room at the last minute on my way to Gulf Shores. I received immediate conformation and check in instructions. The process was flawless and the Cape Cod suite was beautiful. The entire property was very peaceful. I spent part of the evening on the back porch reading and enjoying the serenity. I am so glad I choose to stay at Grand Magnolia and would love to return if I'm in the area again.

- Carawilliams87 (10/5): Absolutely Perfect!!! - The Grand Magnolia is absolutely perfect! This was a kid free weekend getaway for my husband and I. This beautiful home made it even better and much more romantic. We loved it so much that we plan to go back for our anniversary this year. The decor is beautiful, every little detail is just perfect. It was very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the Key West room. Everything was very clean and in its place. The bed was so soft and comfortable with lots of soft pillows. I could have stayed in this room the whole time and been happy. We were very pleased with the breakfast. It consisted of bagels, muffins, sausage biscuits, grits, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice, and cranberry juice. I am very surprised at how reasonable the nightly rates are for this beautiful home. We have paid upward of $250+ a night for resorts that didn’t even hold a candle to the Grand Magnolia. If you are ever in the Pascagoula area I highly recommend staying here. The only complaint that I have is that we did not get to stay here long enough.
