Guest Reviews
- Donna (8/5): - Bed was very hard.
- Sara (7/5): Great for the money, clean and quiet - Exactly as advertised! Very clean, very quiet, and if you just need a room to get a good night sleep at a great price. It’s perfect. The room was a bit, and I was hesitant to use the wall heater.
- katherine (8/5): -
- Harry (4/5): It was not that great of a stay. I guess that's why there was just another person who rented a room. - Good location Room smelled musty dust on the heater vents.
- Keni (10/5): -
- Talitha (6/5): It was quiet, clean and comfortable. - The smart TV, the cleanliness and water pressure. no one came to check me in when I first arrived: I called twice and the door bell was ringing. Then I walked around to find someone.
- Mary (10/5): Perfect motel to stay in Gold Beach - The bed was comfortable. The traffic noise was not bad at all especially since my room was so close to the main highway.
The motel room size was perfect.
The shower water pressure was perfect.
Staff was very polite and helpful.
- Philip (10/5): Perfect road trip stop! - We really enjoyed our stay here. The Azalea Lodge is the perfect road-trip stopover. We stayed 3 nights and were surprised at how quiet, cozy and clean the property was. It felt like staying at your quirky grandma’s house, since the property is older, but has been kept in good condition. It was very clean and comfortable and we would stay there again if we stop in Gold Beach. The towels and bath sheets could have been larger but that certainly didn’t diminish our enjoyment of our stay.
- Scotty (10/5): - I liked that the hotel wasnt too far from anything. could walk to the beach probably like 15 minutes or drive there in like 2 minutes. Food was in walking distance as well which wa nice. On sunday it got a little windy down at the beach but thats nothing to do with the hotel.
- Sigrid (10/5): Right price - Very clean room
- James (10/5): -
- Alex (7/5): Clean as a whistle - Super super clean and eventually the owner was able to sort out some of our check in challenges.
She was friendly. Check in was what I’d consider a pain. Booked through booking.com and it was far from simple. Room had a phone but I couldn’t call 3 hrs down the road……The soda machine was on but wouldn’t accept coins….. We had exactly 8 ml of shampoo for 2 adults……..
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Staff are so nice!
- David (9/5): - Clean but older property. Loved it.
- Specchia (3/5): -
- Brian (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Clean and as advertised - Spotless clean and up to date electric outlets
- Linda (9/5): - Convenience to my District meeting The coffee
- Carol (8/5): - Clean unit Close to road
- Barry (9/5): - The room was spotless and comfortable. The lady in the office must have asked 3 times wether me or my partner smoked or had pets with us. She was also hopeless at using the card machine. It took forever to get one of our cards to work. Her machine provider should give her a course...

- Matthew (1/5): - Not much Hot, no AC. Beds were very old and uncomfortable. Room smelled bad. Old and outdated.
- Pam (7/5): -
- Larry (8/5): reasonably comfortable - rooms could use brighter lights
- Myra (1/5): - Nothing. Your 8.4 rating which I booked under was from 2014 and very inaccurate. I was just on a 10 day road trip and booked 95% of reservations on Booking.com. This reservation made me question my decision. The owner was nice enough to refund our payment when I was unable to reach anyone from bookings.com. See above
- Micah (10/5): Don’t hesitate to stay here you won’t regret it - Probably one of the most clean places I’ve ever stayed definitely would stay again
- jie (9/5): -
- Thanh (7/5): Good - Just a small roadside motel with a fairly clean room, suitable for a quick overnight stay. However, it is overpriced for what it offers.
- Tressa (10/5): Exceptional - Clean
- Crandall (8/5): good value and very clean - no breakfast was offered to offer breakfast

- Michael (8/5): Very good - Very nice lady running the place. Very clean. Simple basic and easy. I recommend it. If traffic noise bothers you I suggest paying a little more for the rooms in back. Did not bother me in the front as the traffic is quiet at night.
- Joel (10/5): Rested well! - Perfect for convenience N/A
- Alan (5/5): It’s ok if wanting a place to rest for the night and reasonable price. -
- Jean (9/5): Nice place, nice people, clean and confortable room. What else? -
- Donald (7/5): Good - The lady at the counter was rude. Like we were inconveniencing her. Good place to rest ur head. Especially for the price
- Reyne (9/5): It is what I needed. - It was nice and quiet. It was close to businesses if you needed anything.
- Wyatt (8/5): Good clean rooms and a comfy bed. - Reliably good accommodation for a good price. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, easy location to get to and easy access to the rest of town. Have stayed in the past and would do so again without hesitation.
- Ronald (7/5): Good -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional - No comments
- Jones (8/5): Very good -
- Nathan (10/5): Cute modest motel - A real hidden gem! This charming roadside motel is a must-visit! The personable owner makes you feel right at home. Tucked away from the busy 101, my room in the back wing felt private and safe. As someone who’s picky about accommodations, I was totally impressed. The room was spotless and freshly renovated, and everything was in excellent condition. Plus, parking is right at your door. This place is definitely worth the stop! WiFi was intermittent, which affected the functioning of the TV to the point that it was useless.
- kittyc956 (10/5): Clean, quiet and charming - Great classic motor lodge. Very friendly proprietress. Quiet and nearly empty, at least during my stay. Immaculate and charming spacious wood ceiling room. You definitely get a sense they keep an eye on things and there are no sketchy people welcome here. Yes it is dated but everything is well kept, just as you would expect from a family run motel. A real step back in time!
- Laquita (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was excellent room was very clean beds were a little hard but I'm used to a soft bed
- Renee (9/5): Clean older hotel very comfortable and the price is right - For an older hotel, it was very clean and very comfortable. Also, we were able to have a fabulous thunder and lightning storm. Which we totally enjoyed. I have zero complaints
- Clarence (7/5): Good -
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): We enjoyed our stay here! - We enjoyed staying at the Azalea lodge: walking distance to Barnacle Bistro. Clean rooms.
- Gary (6/5): It worked for me. - Location was in the middle of town. Was easy to find and good for an overnight stay. No ventilation in the room. Had to open windows and door for fresh air. Right off 101 so traffic was a bit of an issue.
- Lana (9/5): Superb -
- Asia (8/5): Enjoyable and relaxing. - I did not see a breakfast. Not sure if one was offered? the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were welcoming Breakfast is always nice
- Rylla (4/5): Disappointing - Check in was awful. Argued with us on the arrival date when it was documented. When through 3 rooms before deciding which one was functional.
They opened the door and their dog charged out to bite my leg when they caught it in time.
- Gene (6/5): Pleasant - Clean but dated property.
- Laufer (10/5): Exceptional - It was all good
- Alon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (6/5): Was adequate; clean -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms were clean and staff helpful and friendly
- Nelly (4/5): Disappointing - The free coffee Bed was too noisy and no ac
- Stephen (8/5): Great location & friendly staff was perfect for our stay! - Location was great! Quiet & Staff amazing! It was perfect for our quick visit!
- Derek (7/5): Good -
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Lois (5/5): I have stayed in worse. Tonight’s room is almost the same price in Napa Valley and feels like a palace. - The price was right. The bathroom had been recently up dated by the looks of it. It is right on the 101 and traffic starts very early. No plug-ins to charge electronics. The one by the bed did not work. Hair dryer did not work. No air conditioner or fan so room was stuffy. Took a long time to get lukewarm water to shower. Definitely not hot.
- Acuff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marci (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (7/5): Good - Very affordable. Met our needs at a great price. Older furniture & appliances, but all in working order. Perfect place to lay your head at the end of the day.
- Campbell (8/5): Clean, comfy bright rooms. Hard to get a receipt for your stay. - The location, Bandon, Oregon, couldn't have been better! The hotel was less than 5 minutes from my client and less than 8 minutes from the beach. Both major benefits. There was no-one to get a receipt from for work, so I called the # provided, who sent me to Booking.com... I haven't had success on the Booking.com in getting said receipt yet. New experience, and a frustrating one, to have no human contact. The benefit was that got in a little after 1130pm and could still get my room.
No breakfast provided at this location.
- George (2/5): Very poor -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Millie (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (6/5): Recommend this place, nice people, clean room, good vacation spot. - Convenient location. Very very clean.
- Liv (7/5): Quaint and clean little room in the heart of Gold Beach! - Great central location (not beachfront, but still convenient!). Friendly staff, very clean. It’s an older motel and a bit outdated, but it’s clean enough to still feel comfortable.
- Sadie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosemary (5/5): Provided a place to sleep, not much else - Location is right on 101, so easy to find but a lot of traffic noise. Room had no heat or a/c as far as we could tell, no fans, so our windows we open to get a breeze, hence the increase in noise.
Towels thin, almost thread bare. Area clean and safe, but we did park in the back due to wanting visibility. Only one pillow per person. There were only two electrical outlets in the entire room, both taken by TV or bedlamps and hidden behind furniture. It made plugging in the coffee maker a serious challenge; finally used the one in the bathroom.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stan (10/5): Short, but sweet - The Azalea Lodge exceeded expectations. Had all the right features: comfortable bed, reading lamps on both sides of the bed, exceptionally clean, and fridge had a real freezer! The reception clerk also gave us a great dinner restaurant suggestion.
- Jmelo (6/5): Quiet and clean. - Room and bathroom were good size. Room and bathroom were clean, the back rooms were quiet. Bed was not comfortable and just to roll over made a lot of noise. Shower head was very low, made it awkward to shower and I’m only 5’6”.
- Suhrud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (8/5): Very good - Helpful staff that recommended great Mexican restaturant nearby - La Casita de Oro, best way to reach Gold Beach and where to ask for hiking trip. Clean room with separated bathroom and a lot of storage space Minor soundproofing between rooms
- Rios (5/5): Passable - The location was great it was near everything. The staff were very nice and helpful. The bed and the pillows were uncomfortable, and the window wasn't big enough to get fresh air, so the room was often stuffy.
- Thomas (8/5): Good. I slept the best at this location. - Near town and close to beach and river. One of the rooms didn’t smell good so they quickly changed our room.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Nina (9/5): Superb - Staff is very attentive Not updated
- Mara (3/5): Poor - Clean enough but no hot water the first night, tiny rooms right on the Highway. No hot water the first night, only warm the second night & staff were not available when I went looking for help
- Janet (8/5): Very good - The rooms were very clean and were a very good size so you weren't cramped. The Lady that checked us in was super nice.
- Brett (9/5): Superb -
- Pamela (8/5): Clean, quiet good value room. - Location was perfect. Across from the convention center where I was going. Roomy and very clean and quiet. The TV controller would not change channels, Was stuck on E! TV.
- Lmandrade49 (8/5): Very good - No Breakfast. The convenience of it to my location . Dreariness of the room itself. Could be because of he weather.
- Isabella (8/5): Simple, clean motel perfect for a night’s stay - Very clean, quiet, and well located in the town.
