A fantastic read on their menu about BBQ options- but NO. Got banana flower salad once, amazing. Came back for it, sorry Sir. Whole grilled fish by the sea, looks good in the menu picture, but sorry Sir. It seems to be a great Chef, but not well organized.

The cozy rooms provided a comfortable haven, while the pool, with separate sections for kids and adults, offered relaxation for all. De fleste gæster er lokale og de ejer ikke almindelig forståelse for andre mennesker. Er meget højlydte og starter allerede 5:30 i poolen med larm og spetakel. Stranden foran hotellet minder mere om en losseplads. Er derudover fyldt med lokale madboder og plastikstole overalt. Om aftenen har rotter travlt med at rode rundt i skrald og skidt. - chan bok (8/5): GOOD - Excellent except for children's shouts, They have great swimming pool but it's for children, so noisy and the water is not clean. Very nice hotel if you want to spend time with children but I don't want to recommend if you want a quiet vacation and relax. The swimming pool is playground and all most parents have no swimsuit.
- DoreenvanderMerwe (2/5): Not pleasant, beach is dirty - Avoid avoid avoid this accomodation by all means! Of possible, I don't know hen these photographs was taken but it look nothing like the pictures they show, they are also busy with major renovation and it is dirty and dusty and noisy. Only good thing I have to say is the staff was helpful and friendly and the inside of the room was clean. Also over a Fiday and Saturday if ras so busy and noisy.
- pr2023home (6/5): Great hotel but terrible construction noise - This would have been an excellent stay if not for the ongoing construction during our three-day stay in late July. The rooms come with complimentary breakfast, which was perfect for our family. The staff were fantastic, friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. We even got access to the bigger swimming pool at Sea Breeze resort’s sister hotel across the street behind the resort. We didn’t complain about the construction noise because our stay was short and we were mostly gone during the daytime. Just be aware if you’re hoping to lounge poolside with a book in a serene environment, this isn’t exactly that kind of place right now but I imagine will be once the renovations are complete.

- bonscribbler (10/5): Exceptionally clean - We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed ourselves. It was an oasis with all the construction around and the dusty road in front. The staff was constantly cleaning fighting the dust and were very always there to help with whatever we needed. The food in the restaurant was great and we ate there often. We found 2 other restaurants nearby. The pool was lovely and refreshing. We didn't have any trouble finding a lounge chair. Loved having a small patio where we could sit and have our morning coffee.
- eastland (2/5): Avoid!!! - The good: the air conditioning works The bad: everything else To be fair, there is probably not a single accommodation provider in Outres (and maybe most of the other beach areas in Sihanoukville) that would get a positive review. Sihanoukville is currently a very large scale building site. Roads are being relaid, beach shacks are being bulldozed and multiple mega hi-rise hotels (50+ floors) are under construction. Sea Breeze has new hi-rise hotels being constructed immediately to the north and west. Construction starts at 7am when the entire area literally shakes like you are in an earthquake. This lasts about 5 minutes and it repeated at intervals throughout the day. There is constant noise from steel being hammered and welded plus construction trucks bringing cement and building materials. The road(?) is being rebuilt and is a sand trap. There is dust everywhere. A tuk-tuk to the town costs $8 each way. $20 taxi to airport. Outres Beach is scheduled for bull-dozing from 01/01/2020 so the remaining food and massage shacks will be gone. Who knows what the beach will be like then. So the location is awful. I was aware of major Chinese funded development before I arrived, but had not expected anything on this scale or with so great an impact on the existing resort and beaches. The hotel makes no mention of the adjacent development in its description. And the hotel itself is just as bad. The room has an oversized bed. Unfortunately the room is only 1m longer and wider than the bed. So you have half a meter either side of the bed. No room for a suitcase or anything else. The bedhead is so wide it blocks access to the power sockets. There are no bedside lights and the room lights cannot be turned off from the bed. The room does have a fridge/minibar but you will even be expected to pay for water (unusual for Cambodia). The bathroom is slightly better with an electric shower that gets luke-warm. There is no heated water at the basin, although this is common for Cambodia. The toilet has got a replacement seat which is too small so you end up sitting on the toilet itself. There is a restaurant and the prices are not outrageous, but the menu has few Khmer options. You'll be ok if you like fried food. I might overlook the hotel deficiencies if I was paying $25 / night as a backpacker, but I paid $100 (thankfully only one night) for this room. Compared with the sub $50 rooms in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh this was disgraceful value. Without doubt, this is my worst ever hotel experience. But as I said, the a/c works. (Sadly it had not been turned on in anticipation of our arrival (hotel aware of our arrival time) so the room was like an oven when we checked in.) The (European?) management really don't care. They seem to realise their days are numbered and are just cashing in while they can. I sent them this review prior to cecking out and this was their response: "Well noted, you can post your comments we do not mind, coz people knew about these situation of Sihanoukville city" Please avoid Sihanoukville for the next few years. If you want to travel to the islands, plan to arrive at the port before the last ferry (approx 15:00) so you don't need to stay a night. [Since leaving we have learned that the builing works commenced approximately April 2019 and were initially scheduled to last 3 years. They are being funded by the Chinese who want to build a casino style resort location. Sadly the Cambodian government have just passed a law banning online casinos. Not sure why this affects bricks-and-mortar development but there are reports that several building projects have been mothballed as a result. A very sad situation for the local people.]

- SurabhiSC (8/5): Great, relaxing resort! - Stayed at Sea Breeze with my partner for a couple of days... a very neat little place with a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived an hour ahead of our schedule but they readied the room for us and ensured a smooth check-in. They also helped us with the contact numbers of the ferry service for Koh Rong. Although Sihanoukville looks spoiled due to the huge construction sites, the hotel itself is a very nice place!
- JayJ81 (8/5): RIP Sihanoukville :( (Nice hotel though) - This hotel is lovely and peaceful - the bungalows are spacious for two people and we really enjoyed the varied breakfast selection. The staff were very friendly, helping us book our ferry tickets and giving infomation on the area. Unfortunately, the massive influx of Chinese development in Sihanoukville has turned the town into a building site. I visited Otres about 4.5 years ago and it has been destroyed, with only a handful of restaurants/guesthouses left. It's an absolute ghost town, with all of the beachside bars and restaurants making way for big, oversized hotels and casinos. It's like they're building a Chinese Benidorm. Cambodians are being driven out of Sihanoukville and the new investors don't seem to care about them or about the natural beauty. Last time I was here Otres 1 and 2 were like paradise. Now, the beach is covered in plastic litter and the road has been more or less destroyed. It's such a shame for places like Sea Breeze who offer such a lovely service and this is no fault of their own. We spent 2 nights here (arrived late on the first day and left early on the last) and we're so glad we didn't spend any longer. Thankfully, the islands of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem have not been affected quite as badly as the mainland, so get yourself there quickly. Having said that, the islands are much quieter than they were before as European tourists seem to be skipping Sihanoukville all together. RIP Sihanoukville... and good luck Sea Breeze.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice little resort, terrible surroundings - The place is nice enough, good pool, clean rooms and the food was decent. But, the area is just awful. The beach is beautiful, but the surroundings are basically a massive garbage dump with construction stretching for miles in all directions. The place has really been destroyed by all the on going development, all the Chinese and Russian investors are trying to turn it into a new Asian Las Vegas or Macau etc. Even the city centre is a total mess, hardly any paved roads, beaches covered in garbage etc. It's the only place in Cambodia that I wouldn't ever come back too after travelling for 5 weeks through this beautiful country. It's a real shame.

Gaden er ikke længere en gade, men bulet jordvej. Der løb rotter rundt på gaden. Huse er faldet sammen og alt ligger hvor det faldt. Et meget sørgeligt syn. Selve hotellet gør virkelig meget for at holde standarden, men står magteløse tilbage - området udenfor hotellet kan de ikke gøre noget ved. Selve hotellet er ok med små værelser. Der er restaurant på hotellet som laver god mad til rimelige penge. Stranden flyer også med affald, så badeferie kan man ikke få her. Det er meget synd for hotellet, som gør meget, men vi vil ikke anbefale andre at booke dette hotel.

- AussieRicho1 (2/5): WARNING WARNING WARNING - DO NOT COME TO THIS TOWN OR HOTEL. 'CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION,CONSTRUCTION....EVERYWHERE. This hotel SHOULD be $20 US a night maximum... BUT... Its $58 US. The road is DIRT, full of holes from airport to hotel. I'd personally be embarrassed to charge these prices to live in a DUMP... If I could give negative 2 stars I would. The owner is laughing all the way to the bank. This property is 40 + years old and they charge like its 2028. In my 50+ years I've never been to a more crappy destination until now in outer Sihanoukville. AGAIN.... DON'T COME HERE FOR ANOTHER 5 YEARS AND THEN YOU WILL PROBABLY BE CHARGED MORE.... WHAT A JOKE. Please, be warned, DON'T COME HERE OR .... BE VERY DISAPPOINTED AND TOTALLY RIPPED OFF. THIS WHOLE PLACE IS A RIPOFF BECAUSE OF THE CHINESE WHO HAVE TAKEN OVER. - juliabI8391VC (6/5): Heaven in the midst of hell - The venue itself is beautiful. It’s modern, clean and the staff are attentive, friendly, understanding and very helpful. The breakfast is substantial and all of the food we ate their was nice. But........ the location itself is no more than an abandoned shanty town and the entire area, especially the beach should carry a public health warning. Everything here is overpriced and because of its isolation and lack of anything to do, see or eat without a fear of illness you will be ripped off to go into town which is a bit reminiscent of somewhere after a series of drone strikes. Thankfully the staff are now used to guests arriving to find themselves in hell and are OK with checking out early to facilitate an escape..

- Polar2012 (10/5): A beautiful bungalows close to the beach - It was the perfect accommodation for families and friends. The reception was so kind an helpful. The email responses was prompt. The room - the family room was big - connecting room with 2 double beds. It was clean and with all the amenities needed.Its also only a few steps away to the beautiful pool. Its the perfect place to stay with families and friends The restaurant - complimentary breakfast was delicious however we felt like we had to begged for the breakfast. For example the set breakfast comes with mains and a choice of sides plus juice and tea/coffee. We had 3 rooms with 5 people and with 5 complimentary breakfast - each time we ordered, there is a dreadful expression from the waiters - it is like we over ordered...and that we are not entitled to order those sets because when we ordered the choices of sides (4 pancakes, we only got one) and another time when I wanted to order I was told to order only when all 5 of us are together... there seated. They are also not smiling much. Despite that we didn't really find other negative things about the resort itself only that these are one of the last years to see Otres 1 before it becomes China, slowly the Chinese invasion is creeping in with those ugly high rise council flats looking building.

- jacogal (8/5): Very nice and pleasant hotel - Not a big one, but has a nice pool, good location close to the beach. Helpful staff, good service, very clean. Enjoyed the stay very much. Problematic arangement of the illumination in the room, as the only night lp is controlled from the other side of the bed. Also the water stream in shower is weak and not warm enough. Still will reccomend this hotel.

- P1664DPpaulb (8/5): Paradise lost - this hotel is nice enough...pool, nice food served in open air restaurant, and cheap enough. The rooms are small but clean. The problem lays with Sihounkville and Otres beach being bough up by the Chinese and them building casinos- destroying paradise- don't bother going such a pity.
- Mesquita (8/5): One of the best hotels at Otres 1! - Our standard room was a little small but had a very comfy bed and a nice bathroom. We also didn’t like the curtains as none closed properly. The staff were excellent: they spoke good English, and were very helpful. The included breakfasts were varied and tasty with great coffee. We didn’t use the pool as the sea was just 50m away! The hotel was also very close to many beach side restaurants. Overall we had a lovely two night stay and we were very grateful for the late checkout we were given.

- Richard (10/5): Great place to stay and feel comfortable - Great staff and a great location at Otres beach 1 away from the busy and heavily litttered Serendipity beach. Enjoyed the Bungalow which was a good size and all things required were available. Staff were great always available and greeted with a smile. The beach was stunning and even in the wet season with rainy times had some beautiful pictures. Food was best in the area, well priced and good quality.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sea breeze - Far away from nice bars. Hotel oke, but staff isn't friendly at all and gives wrong information about bus trips. Don't book your bustickets ( at chapa company) at the hotel! Hotel does't gives you any information about the hotel and surroundings. When you come back at the hotel after 11 o'clock, there is nobody anymore... If you have a choice... Go to otres 2!

The most quite beach compare with others. But there is 1 problem. they have to repair bathroom. No hot water.but its okay for me. Overall i really enjoy my holiday here and will come again.

- Maureen (10/5): Clean Hotel - We stayed one night in January. The hotel is spotless - they must be constantly painting to keep it so clean and white! The room was tiny, fine for a night or two but for a long stay that could be an issue. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable. The pool was so nice - I could have spent a lot of time at this pool! The restaurant was good, the included breakfast had a lot of options. I enjoyed the rooftop bar. The location is great, short walk across the street to the beach and many other restaurants. Nice and helpful staff! Overall really great experience!

- Martin (8/5): Just across the road from the beach - Beach Otres 1 is not a place for a rave or party. However if you like a nice meal and drink with time either by the sea or pool this is an ideal hotel to stay in. Centrally located in Otres 1 and the rooms are centred around the pool. Staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has a good choice and the evening meals that are available are reasonably priced and of good value. The only reason I have marked down the room cleanliness and comfort is that there was no internal seating - not that there was room for it as the room has a very large bed, and that I noticed some of the bed clothes and towels are starting to show their age. The actual cleanliness of the room was good.
- Valerie (8/5): Relaxing stay at the Sea Breeze - We enjoyed our stay very much. The room is a little on the small side, but there is a little patio with a table and chairs which helps. Having a drink at their Sky Lounge to watch the sunset is lovely and the pool is a nice alternative to the beach. The breakfast offered enough variety as well as offering something different every day. The front desk was good at setting up transportation and tours. We also used the laundry service, which did a great job and gave us same day service.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet spot away from Sihanoukville - Great little place 30 seconds from the beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The only issue was that the pool was quite over-chlorinated. Luckily I spent most of my time in the ocean.
- Trevor (10/5): Just Relax! - My wife and I had five nights and enjoyed being to be able to have an early morning swim in the sea, followed by a dip in a terrific pool to refresh and then sitting down for Breakfast. Could it get better. The whole establishment was tastefully set out with a mass of Orchids hanging outside every Bungalow. All of this coupled to good staff made for a pleasant stay.
- Max (8/5): New resort close proximity to the beach on Otres 1 - My friends and I stayed at Sea Breeze the second week of July 2015 for two nights. Our experience was pleasant. The resort is in close proximity to the beach, which is just across the street. There is a nice and decently sized pool as well as a restaurant in the premises with ok food. We stayed in a room with double bed towards the back. We didn't mind it since it seemed to be more quiet and more private than around the pool area (although this time of year is considered low season and the hotel was not packed at all). The room was basic: flat screen TV, good working A/C and daily cleaning. The free breakfast was also very reasonable for the rate we payed. The only downside are the smelly bathrooms in the rooms. If you're not too sensitive to smells you should be fine. Additionally, the staff is friendly & helpful, however they could be more attentive at times. But let's face it, you're in Cambodia and more specifically Otres, things move slow. A little patience will go a long way.
