- David (10/5): - Orka apartments are just great! We had an amazing time there, close to bus stops for old town and other areas. Also, amazing eateries on the doorstep. Skar winery is 2 doors down and just the best for wine, service and best cheeseboards in Dubrovnik! Orka has a beautiful pool that our 8 year old daughter loved, as did we. Tranquil and pristine. The apartments offered us everything we needed and more and we could not have been happier there. Anamarija was an excellent host and very helpful, thank you. About 15 mins on number 6 bus to old town and either 3 min walk for small shop or 10 min walk to larger supermarket Tommy's. Perfect.

- Amie (10/5): - We have just finished our stay at Orka Apartments and felt so compelled to write a review to let everyone know about this little gem of a property. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely lady (I forgot her name but know she is not the usual host) who allowed us to check in early and showed us around. We stayed in Apartment 5 which is located across from the marina at the front of the property. A lovely apartment with everything you might need and more! A few steps and you are at the pool area. The pool was a big highlight of this property. The surrounding garden areas were also so lovely and you are encouraged to enjoy them. The property is easy to access from the Gruz bus station. We took an Uber as we had luggage however is very walkable if you don’t have many bags. Beautiful views of the marina were amazing as we love to yacht and boat spot. The street can be noisy but we expected this and never disturbed us. Lovely restaurants surrounded the property and easy access to Dubrovnik old town by bus, taxi/uber or on a cooler day, walking. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we are in Dubrovnik.

- Annie (10/5): - Absolutely 10/10 place to stay. Wouldnt go anywhere else in Dubrovnik now! Has a pool and so central to the bus station/port etc. Anamarija was very helpful and kind to point us in the right direction. We had the best time ever. It felt like home away from home.

- Rafael (8/5): Ok place, needs some (a lot of) love - We stayed here for a few nights, the place is easy to find just across the ferry docks (20min walk). This place has everything to be a cool, and well located site. Personally, the apartment felt way too basic, and poorly maintained. The furniture looks from the 70s, and the dishes and cutlery were basic and unmatched. I would probably not stay here again unless the units receive and updated makeover

- Stacey (10/5): Great Stay - Had a great stay at Orka Apartments. Apartment was basic but had everythimg we needed. Pool was absolutely lovely and hardly anyone about so like having your own pool. Area was nice and easy walk to bars and restaurants and beach and 10 minute bus ride into Old Town Dubrovnik from bus stop at top of the road we were staying. Very nice welcome by friendly host but then left to our own devices which we loved. Absolutely lovely city and we had a fantastic holiday. Also went on a diving day trip and the boat we caught was in the marina by the apartment so really handy aswell.
- keith (8/5): - A lovely facility. However, The bed was so tight fitted, it had about a foot between the bed and walls making it difficult to get in and out of bed. The pool area was beautiful, but unheated making it way to cold to use. A heater would make the facility more attractive. The host was very friendly and there was a very nice restaurant onsite with options a short walk away. Unfortunately there was big construction going on and noise started early. There is improvements that will take a year I’d guess. The apartment sits right on a marina street and people walk by talking till late. Bus service was a 10 min walk.

Close for Old City - we walked but bus stop is close. Lapad and bars etc abiut 5 mins walk. Dubrovnik was quiet generally but that will change i am sure. Apartment was number 3 over looking the harbour. Pool area clean and tidy - didnt risk thwe water as bit too cold at moment! A light bulb went during our stay but was quickly fixed. No complaints about our stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): A lovely place to stay - This is a lovely place. We stayed in the main house so not modern but we had everything you could want of a studio apartment. The terraced garden views and the pool area are amazing. Pool area is brand new and a great place to cool off and relax after visiting the sights. It’s a bus ride or half-hour walk to Dubrovnik old town, but beaches, quayside and restaurants all close at hand. The owners also run a high-end restaurant on site if you don't want to walk far. Would come back in a heart beat. Thanks for a lovely stay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Top apartment in an Ideal location. - Ideal apartment located in lapad. Be aware it can be noisy from the road traffic as the windows are only single glazed. The pool area at the top for use for the guests is beautiful.
- Barbara (10/5): Lovely apartment with stunning views. - I stayed for 4 days at this lovely apartment with stunning views over Gruz Harbour.It had all the expected amenities including a fridge, 2 ring hob and a separate lounge/dining room with tv. The grounds have a very nice pool and Jacuzzi that have recently been installed, this has ample sunbeds, parasols and towels so no problem with finding a space. The owner Anamarija was most charming and welcoming and always around if any help or advice needed. I shall certainly be staying again on my next visit to Dubrovnik!

Annemarie and her mother-in-law Helene are very helpful and on hand to deal with any queries. There is a new pool which is fantastic. The apartments are in a great location for a ten minute bus ride into the old town. There are restaurants and a beach about a ten minute walk from the apartments. We were very impressed.

The standard of the apartment and its amenities is very good. Anne- Marija and her family are very welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant is also worth a visit...the food and service are excellent. We had a great week and would definitely recommend Orka apps.

- Mine (8/5): - Overall good stay. Good location (I always stay in this area every time in Dubrovnik). Room was smaller than expected but clean and functional. A microwave would have been helpful. Shower rather small but good hot water and water pressure. Expect lots of stairs to get to the room. My 1st choice was an apartment I stayed last year a few houses down but wasn't available. I'd stay here again if my first choice wasn't available again.
- Graham (8/5): Okra Apartment Number 1 - On day 1 I was shown around the apartment by Helen, who was very helpful and explained about all the local amenities, tourist attractions, local transport. The day before I was to leave I had trouble phoning the company I had booked to take me to the airport. Again the owners came to the rescue and contacted the company and confirmed pick up arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble for them in helping.
- Petra (10/5): cosy apartment at a great location - We had a 3 bedroom apartment split into 2 rooms with a bath room and a kitchen counter. The friendly host gave us a warm introduction and provided useful information about the area. The place was pretty quite with a stunning view on the marina and the big cruise ships parked there. Everything was very clean and tidy. The adjacent Orka restaurant and the restaurant Peppers were great options for breakfast and dinner. The old town was easy to reach by bus or also by foot (ca. 35 min walk). The beach and the promenade (with plenty more food options) as well as a couple of supermarkets were easy to reach by foot (5-10 min). We really enjoyed our stay and would def. recommend this place for couples and families.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location - Excellent stay at the Orka apartments. Basic and not luxurious but everything needed within an exceptionally clean apartment. The owners are such lovely people and do everthing possible to make your stay as comfortable and good as possible. The apartments are well situated with several excellent restaurants and bars close by. Perect position with lovely views of the harbour and within walking distance of the old town if a 20 to 30 minute walk is acceptable to you. All in all a great experience which I would definitely recommend.

The disappointing thing was it was advertised as ground floor with terrace,but the terrace was up three flights of stairs and belonged to the owner. There was a garden but with no shade or umbrellas. Good location near bus stop, bars and restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Orka apartments - We got a transfer from the airport to the apartments where we were met by the owners who were friendly and gave us a tour of our apartment and some local info buses etc The apartment was clean and well equipped for what we needed. The apartments are in a good location near bus stop (local bus to old town every10mins),short walk to beach and shops and restaurants which includes one on site. We enjoyed our stay at Orka apartments and would happily stay again.

The apartment was very thoughtfully supplied, all the essentials provided including extra toilet paper ,soap ,washing up liquid and bin bags. Spotlessly clean.Quiet at night with good shutters to keep room dark. I enjoyed the tasteful decor and that the trouble had been taken to colour co-ordinate even the smallest items. The garden had really comfy loungers ,wicker chairs (also comfy) and a table and chairs with a great view out towards the boats. Very happy with our stay.

- Lacy (8/5): Good value. - Overall a solid place. It is a full one bedroom apartment and not like a tradional hotel with on call reception. Although the woman who checked me in was super nice. It is walking distance to a lovely promenade with restaurants and some beaches. The walk to the bus feels a bit treacherous because you are walking between cars and the bay and not much of a shoulder. Pretty simple but seemed to be a good value for the area.
- Ed (8/5): Excellent location with all ammenities needed! - This place is a hidden jem! The apartment really isn't the fanciest place but it's quiet, clean and easy to get to the old city. Just take the number 28 bus outside the apartment and it drops you outside of the city gates! I would definetly stay there again!

- Andy (8/5): Great apartment in a great location - The apartment is located about 5 minutes by bus (which is really cheap) away from old town. The area is great really close to beach clubs and the promenade which has loads of bars and restaurants. The apartment also has a private garden area with sun lounges. Fresh towels every couple of days plus a clean of the apartment. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Explorer (8/5): Quiet & good value self-catering apartment - A quite location, close to the harbour (for cruise liners), bus route 6 stops outside so handy for that. Good restaurants in the area, beach a 15 mins walk. If you get room 4 is does not have a view, however it did not bother us. Kitchenette basic but ok. Good wifi. Friendly owners & staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great all round - As it is a family business in a 400 year old house there are no lifts and the accommodation is on the 4th floor so carrying the bags is a bit of a nightmare but the owner Nicolas helped with the same. Annamaria, his wife is the only english speaking person but is not around very much. Otherwise very good location on the water and near all amenities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to Gruz port - The location was great because it was a 5 minute walk to the port. It's a very nice area. on the same side of the apartments are are a few restaurants to choose from. Across from the apartment by the port are more options. We walked to the old city- about twenty minutes. It's mostly up hill going there so make sure you have plenty of water- That heat can sneak up on you. There was a bus stop extremely close but We took a taxi from the airport- it was 300 kuna. There were a few cheaper options but with a wait time of almost an hour. After flying all night we splurged for immediate service. Atlas transportation was a third the cost. The bus has a transfer in pile. It was a bit difficult to use the bus with luggage. It's always packed and the signs at each stop weren't clear. We had to ask the driver to tell us when we got to our stop.

Well communicated: bus n6 (a jewel), walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants (buono is good and cheap), beach. 10 mins by bus from the old city. The apartments have an inner patio for relaxing, sun bathing, the children playing... It is a good place

The residence is just gorgeous, the family are a delight to deal with, always very helpful if you need it (Otherwise they simply give you all the space you want!) It's close to the port/bus station. Walking distance to Tommy shopping and a lot of great restaurants just a little way up the hill, a good beach nearby also. Bus stops close for those wanting a quick & cheap ride into old town also. Highly recommend this place! AAA+++
