Guest Reviews
Dejlig morgenmad 😄
- Saartje Gebruers (8/5): - The breakfast was delicious and the host provides us with a list of various nice restaurants. The house is over a 100 years old and it shows, both in its charming appearance as in the infastructure of the building. One of the blinds didn't fully close, some nails of the floorboards were protruding, and there was a fair amount of noise from the street.
Niets, was uitstekend.
- Ellen (10/5): Beautiful house in Palermo with excellent host, Gilles (and cats) and delicious breakfast ! - Beautiful property, so clean and tidy and loved speaking to Gilles about the history of the building. Bedroom, common rooms and terrace were all gorgeous. We didn’t dislike anything.

- Melanie (10/5): A stylish stay with a welcoming host - A perfect location for a visit to BA with easy access to Palermo and Recoleta by foot and the rest of the city by bus or metro.
Gilles is a wonderful host, full of information and anecdotes to help you enjoy your stay.
The breakfast is to die for with home made baked goods, yoghurt, jams etc., strong coffee, fresh orange juice and Gilles will cook you eggs too.
The room we had was cozy and tastefully decorated as is the rest of the house.
We had a great time. ☺️ Nothing.
However, Top Tip - if you are staying on a Saturday night take earplugs for the late night revellers, particularly if staying at street level.
- CircleTriangle (9/5): Charming Host - The host, location, very clean, wonderful scrambled eggs.
- Yolanda (9/5): -
- Siobhan (10/5): Wonderful stay in Buenos Aires - Gilles was very helpful with advice on visiting Buenos Aires. This was a lovely B&B with lots of character. Our room was cosy and comfortable. The breakfasts were superb, lovely home baked cake and bread. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Marcia (8/5): It's a small palace, and you'll definitely be treated like a king or queen. Enjoy your trip! - The host was very nice. He speaks English, Spanish, French since he’s a Frenchman and a little Portuguese. The breakfast was delicious! I really want to come back! The room was a little small and it doesn’t have TV.
- Sarah Jill (10/5): Fabulous! - This was the perfect first stop on our Argentina trip! Gilles is very knowledgeable about BA. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The room was very comfortable and the fresh breakfast was superb. The cats must be mentioned as they are an awesome addition to an already fabulous hotel! Thank you! I cannot fault this place at all!!! It is fabulous!

- Petra G.. (9/5): - Le Petit Palais was a lovely place to stay in BA. The position in the city is great, Giles is a wonderful host that will give you great tips and recommendations, and you can hang out with three most beautiful cats in the world <3
Still dreaming about that breakfast medialuna!
- Tina (10/5): - Le Petit Palais was the perfect place to say in Buenos Aires.
The house is beautiful with lovely decor.
The breakfasts really were the best with home made yogurt and wonderful pastries.
Our host was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
What a find!
- Priscila (7/5): - Localização Algumas atitudes do anfitrião
- John (9/5): Excellent! - Great host. Knowledgeable and helpful. Steep stairs.
- Angie (9/5): Exceptional ambience … we would highly recommend! - The decor was superb really appreciated the Art - & oh so clean! Breakfast was sublime! Gilles was a brilliant host - a fount of knowledge. Friendly, ambient & a stunning interior.
- Moritz (10/5): Tolles Boutique Hotel!
Viele Lokale in Laufweite. Auch hier hat Gilles gute Tipps. Klare Empfehlung!
- Aiste (10/5): Exceptional - We had really good stay at La Petit Palais. Rooms were beutifully furnished, authentic and cozy. Gilles was amazing host. He provided us with many tips and recommendations for our stay in BA..Home made breakfast was best we had whiile travelling in Argentina. Thank You! Air conditioning would be nice.
- Edoardo (10/5): Exceptional - This place is incredible! Great position in the city, super cozy rooms and Gilles has been really the best possible host. The breakfast is very very good and the common table makes easy to make new friends. There are also several cute cats leaving in the house!
- Aramis (10/5): - As I walked in, another guest stopped specifically to comment about how fantastic Le Petit Palais is. He was not wrong - I was really fortunate to find LPP and would stay again if another trip provides opportunity to visit BA.
Educated multi-lingual host (I heard at least 3 languages, I think). Knows how to welcome weary traveler after an overnight flight with no sleep. Had excellent advice for dining options, gave a clear run through of the house rules and neighborhood. Quiet and comfortable (especially compared to hostel I was in earlier in sam trip).
I recommend unless you are mobility limited, or have cat allergies, or have reason to be in San Telmo instead of the edge of Palermo.
- Drew (9/5): Wonderful owner. - Great old house with a very sweet and engaging owner. Style and flair everywhere. Attention to detail and a nice homemade breakfast. Gilles is reason enough to stay there. No AC, which we knew in advance, but with heat wave, windows needed to be open to the noisy street at night. Keys are a bit tricky at first.
- Ekin (10/5): Perfect way to experience BA - Great location and lovely host with top notch tips ! NA
- Rosa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb - Gilles assisted us with everything we needed to know. We were relaxed in his home.
- Thomas (10/5): Fantastic start to our visit to Argentina - Fantastic breakfast, lovely and helpful owner, and cute cats! N/A
- Julie.g (8/5): Lovely house and host(s), in a buzzling neighborhood. - Gilles et ses 4 chats sont adorables. Hyper sociables et plein de bons conseils. Any room in the whole city of BA is poorly isolated against the noise. Le petit Palais is no exception. And BA is a noisy city! Bring your ear plugs!
- Peter (10/5): - Delightful host Gilles made us very welcome.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The 4 cats!!! And not forgetting the wonderful host, Gilles. He cooked an amazing breakfast and shared great recommendations! We enjoyed relaxing and chatting. He has an excellent eye for design and taste. The location is great for restaurants and bars. Lovely sunny and plant covered terrace too. We'll be back in the summer to see how the kitten, Elliot, has grown. Salut!
- Lillian (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house!! Extremely clean. Room was comfortable. Host was so very kind and gave us great recommendations. Loved the resident gatos! Excellent locatio in Palermo. Highly recommend! Nothing
- mrs a c (10/5): If you don't like corporate hotels , try here - Smashing small bed and breakfast in the heart of Buenos Aires. Everything a chain hotel isn't. Neat room, simple homemade tasty breakfast. Engaging knowledgeable host, with great dining and site seeing tips.
- Valentina (9/5): I'd stay again if in BA - Lovely breakfast by the host, one of the best we had in Argentina. The location was also good. We felt safe and there plenty of options for everything. The room was very clean. Lots of recommendations on arrival by the host on things to do and places where to eat. Not being able to access the terrace and upstairs late at night. But considering that the host lives in the same house, it's understandable that guests don't have access at night due to the configuration of the house. There is not much that can be done. But yes, as guests we wish we had an airy space where to go in the evening which wasn't our own room.
- Nikos (9/5): Superb - Le Petit Palais is a great accommodation, a beautiful building, excellently preserved and decorated by the owner and host, Gilles. It is very central, close to most central things in Buenos Aires. Gilles is very hospitable, friendly, accomodating and very helpful with all my questions, tips and everything I needed to arrange after I arrived. Also, the breakfast he made for us every day, was amazing! Also, both my room and all the shared areas were spotless clean, which was great! As the building is facing towards a street, although not very busy like a big avenue, but still with some traffic, and as my room was at street level, there was some noise, but not too much.
Also, most likely because the building is old and preserved, there is no air-conditioning, which on hot days can be challenging by using only fans. That, though, is something quite common in Argentina, as I tried a few accommodations, and none had air-conditioning.
- Ludmila (9/5): Great stay with a great host - Offers a home ambiance. Gilles is a great host, provided tips on what to see and where to eat. His breakfasts in the patio were delicious and a great way to meet other travellers. Not necessarily a dislike but be prepared for a tiny room and shower.
- Mary (9/5): Lovely property - Marvelous host who answered our many questions and helped us find activities that we enjoyed. Breakfast was fantastic. Great location. No air conditioning made the room a bit warm. Fan in the room helped.
- Laurence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Best breakfast in Argentina
- Carlos (9/5): Beautiful house, good host. - Courteous and helpful host. Beautiful house. Nice neighborhood. Good breakfast. Street is noisy, there are urban buses on the street from early to pretty late.
Host will give you a plethora of 'rules' to follow (no shoes, careful with the furniture, keys, noise, etc), which we really didn't mind but, you do feel you are a guest in somebodies house the whole time and this may not let you totally relax if thats what you want.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luise (10/5): Exceptional - unique
- Cecilia (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Ft. rooftop patio with tropical garden and 😺😺😺 - The location is both lively and quiet enough to rest. Gilles is a wealth of knowledge and graciously held our luggage after checkout (thank you). The breakfast is made with love.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - Gilles was wonderful and super helpful! The accomodation is imaculate and you can tell everything is good quality (and he has great taste). Breakfast was also amazing!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice B&B in Palermo area - Nice stay in Buenos Aires in Palermo area. The room and bathroom (including the shower) were not very big, but was fine for us. Our host offered many suggestions of places to eat in the area and is happy to help book things like activities or taxis, which is much appreciated. Breakfast was very nice as well. It can be quite noisy on Friday and Saturday nights though as people go out for the evening.
- Ted (10/5): Exceptional -
- Drcjd (10/5): Exceptional - Location, help in arranging everything including sourcing pesos! The cats Road a bit noisy but to be expected
- Ana (10/5): - Charming town house, very clean, and beautiful.
- george (10/5): - Great, charming old house, several levels, gives plenty of privacy, wonderful breakfast in the morning. The Owner goes well his way to help you with anything you might need. I had a 3 o’clock in the morning taxi pick up, he woke up to make sure I got out on time.
- Frances (10/5): Le Petit Palais is a warm and tasteful home away from home. - We loved our experience at Le Petit Palais. Gilles (and his adorable cats!) is a friendly and helpful host - he gave us superb recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the city. Extra kudos for one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip to Argentina! Although the neighbourhood is safe and quiet, it is a 10+ minute walk away from the heart of Palermo. Though we enjoyed the daily stroll through the neighbourhood - and taxis are highly affordable and accessible - do keep this in mind!
- Mindy (10/5): - The host, Gilles was super attentive and sweet. He prepared breakfast, every item was homemade and excellent. I enjoyed so much. Showed me all restaurants options in the area. Loved and welcomed. They have cats and kittens, that made me felt like home. I would love to stay here again if opportunity rise. Mucho gracias ❤️
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oriman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mari-liis (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was very good, everyday freshly made by Gilles
Good location
- Christian (10/5): Really comfortable. - Great location, lovingly done place, and the 3 most beautiful and friendly cats.
- Marta (9/5): If you like houses with soul, you will fell in love with that one without compromising on comfort. - Exceptional, friendly and helpful host who knows his ways around Buenos Aires and the neighborhood so trust his recommendations for nice restaurants and ways to spend and enjoy your time. Very nice homemade breakfast so don't skip it before you start your day!
The neighborhood is very lively and have a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and bars selection within a walking distance.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful palace great furnished, the neighborhood is super nice and safe, the host gave us very good suggestions and tips!
- Andrew (10/5): Old Style and heaps of character - The property was a hidden gem in amongst the taller and newer surrounding buildings, with a "secret courtyard" entrance and heaps of character. So hidden we at first thought that we had come to the wrong place! Unfortunately, we arrived in BA to a heat wave and this older property was not suitable to be adapted with modern air conditioning. The host did a good job with fans and heat management - old style for an old building - very respectful.
- Letícia (10/5): amazing! would definitely stay again - everything! the host is super helpful and caring, he gave us so many good tips, also breakfast is amazing! we loved it!
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (9/5): You'll love Buenos Aires as much as we did! - Wonderful house, very cozy, within a cool neighborhood! Gilles (the host) gave us the best tips to enjoy Buenos Aires! Breakfast was good. Everything was clean. Wifi is working perfectly. The room doesn't have A/C (just a fan), so if you will stay during summer and you suffer from very hot days, think twice.
You need to use bedroom slippers (provided at the arrival) inside the house.
- Christopher (10/5): Gorgeous old property in the middle of BA with a wonderful host. And cats! - Wonderful old house, super well kept, loads of space for guests to use. Gilles was a wonderful host and very helpful. Shower was a bit on the small side.
- Michela (9/5): A Home away from home - It was a very pleasant stay.
The place is super cozy, the host is a delightful person: very attentive, helpful and kind and gave lots of different tips on the city.
Breakfast is homemade and delicious, the cats are very cute.
I really felt at home. There is just a bit too much noise from the street for my taste. But I live in Rome in a very quiet street so I am probably not used to it :)
Other than this, all perfect!
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): More than a place to stay, a place to meet a city and a very knowing members of it. - Giles gives you a warm welcome to his small b&d, guides you here and there, and you soon become part of an interesting collection of fellow travelers. His passion for Buenos Aires embraces and inspires you. On rare days of very hot temperature, air conditioning would have helped.
- Patrick (3/5): Too small of room to enjoy our stay - proprietor was very helpful. Good location and good breakfast The classic double is not big enough for two people. Breakfast is good but limited and the same. There are a lot of rules to the home.
- Jeremy (9/5): Superb -
- Silvia (10/5): Perfect! - Amazing location, the owner is a super host who shares great recommendations!!! Everything!
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - A beautiful little spot in the heart of Buenos Aires. The host gives wonderful recommendations for your time in BA and is always happy to help organize a taxi and get you where you need to be. It was a bit hot in the evenings as it was summer time in BA and there was only a fan in the room, no AC, but this was stated beforehand and understood. Otherwise, everything was lovely and the breakfast is fabulous! Homemade bread yogurt, breads, and jams alongside fresh OJ. Definitely a unique experience and would come back again.
- Maria (10/5): Really good place! - Everything was perfect! Super lovely the place and the owner!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (7/5): Good - Beautiful older building. Great breakfast. Accommodating host. Lots of rules. Very small room. Tiny shower. Had to use 3 to 4 keys to enter or exit. truck noise on street woke us each day. No a/c (but good fan).
- Dimitri (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful stay in a great area and with a lovely host. The recommendations on culture and restaurants were absolutely priceless and saved us so much time on research. Everything was on point.
- Charles (10/5): - Excellent homestay in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires.
- Leyla (9/5): lovely home experience - The location of the property is perfect, very safe area. The house itself is just beautiful and feels like a home. Giles makes you very welcome and has some good tips for the area which are so helpful! Do bare in mind that you have to respect the home with rules such as slippers inside/ guests have breakfast on one table/ the cats share the space. We also had a room downstairs which was a little dark and they aren’t big rooms. If you are looking to experience the BA culture within homes and possibly meet a few people it’s perfect!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simina (9/5): Superb - The location is very good, the house, the breakfast, Gilles and the cats are super nice. The place is spotless clean and really special, with a nice terrace and many plants. Gilles gave us a lot of tips regarding where to go,eat, exchange money etc., which we greatly appreciated. The room was on the ground floor or semi-basement with very little light and no real possibility to open the windows. When we booked we saw various pictures of different rooms with large windows - but on the spot we were assigned this one, which was also on one of the last pics. The bathroom is really small so a big person might encounter difficulties when taking a shower.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Juan (10/5): Amazing. Magic. Unforgettable . - Gilles the owner is a very special person who prepares a home made breakfast and you can talk and meet people from other countries and share their stories.Breakfast where amazingly interesting and yummy. Gilles knows the best restaurants nearby.
The place is full of magic and poetry. There are cats watching, silence invites relaxation and thoughts. A refuge for your soul.you will not want to leave the place! I couldn’t stay more days as I had to go!:)
- Cruz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cara (8/5): Very good -
- Chantal (9/5): Nice and cozy - Really nice place, very friendly owner and cute cats :-) the location is great with many cafes and restaurants in walking distance. The owner Gilles gave us many great tips and recommendations. The rooms are nice and clean, breakfast was fresh and homemade.
- Hayley (10/5): 10/10 would recommend to a friend - Super comfortable, great location and loved the overall styling and the host of course!
- Mariflor (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful peaceful quirky sanctuary in the city!
The room itself is soo comfy, and the bed was a delight after travelling to so many places with mediocre beds and bedding. This is sumptuous and even though you’re in the heart of the city it felt relaxed, quiet and peaceful. The communal areas are very inviting and comfortable, the breakfast is home cooked by Gilles and super tasty, cats are a beautiful addition to the lovely home and very friendly and cuddly(!), and the host Gilles went above and beyond to help us with advice and tips on things to do and where to go and even sourcing us tickets. Gilles and his lovely home really made our stay in BA easier and more enjoyable
- Carla (10/5): Best Place in Palermo, Buenos Aires - Gille was the most incredible host for our trip to Argentina and Buenos Aires. He cooked homemade breakfasts of jams, yogurt, bread and eggs every morning. He guided us through the map of Buenos Aires and indicated bus routes, places to see and told us about the walking tours.
He is generous with his time and advice, and very helpful. Our flight did not leave until 9 PM and we were able to leave our luggage at Petite Palais, and come back to use the restroom and get our ride to the airport.
He also helped us book a night visit to a tango show. His recommendations for restaurants are impeccable
- Susan (10/5): hidden gem - if you are looking for somewhere different, this beautifully restored home in Palermo is outstanding. Gilles is a charming host, full of insider tips to make the most of your time here. it felt like staying with friends, always someone to welcome you home (thanks Alfie & Elmo). walking distance to excellent restaurants and craft beer heaven!
- Mark (10/5): - A very comfortable place to stay, for one thing. For another, a fresh and delicious homemade breakfast of yogurt, fresh bread, and jams and jellies, coffee, pastries, and even eggs if you like. The bed was just right for a good night's sleep and the room sparsely yet charmingly decorated. Best of all was the host, Giles, truly a friendly, helpful, and welcoming host with an infectious laugh and a love for Buenos Aires.
- Franklin (4/5): Decepção!!!!!! - O Hotel foi decepcionante
A hospedagem é pessoal
