• Garatejo (1/5): Disappointed — this is the first time the photos have had nothing to do with reality. - Most of the staff team was kind, and breakfast was good compared to others in Bali I’m disappointed with my stay, as the property did not match the expectations set by the Booking listing. The photos appear to be outdated and reflect how the hotel may have looked when it was new—currently, they do not represent reality by at least 50%. From the moment you arrive, the lack of maintenance is evident. The entrance to the property looks neglected, and the balcony was extremely dirty, which made the advertised views pointless. The bathroom had visible mold in the shower, and the toilet cistern was broken and made constant noise. The furniture is old and poorly maintained, making noise every time it is used. The pool was dirty, and overall, it’s clear that the facilities have not been properly maintained. Additionally, the beach club shown in the photos—featuring an infinity pool overlooking the ocean—no longer exists. In fact, it was being demolished on the day we arrived. The Wi-Fi connection is also very poor. On top of this, the hotel requires a deposit of IDR 1,000,000 upon arrival, which is not disclosed anywhere in the Booking conditions. Overall, the experience was far below expectations.
• hollydM7558FQ (6/5): Not worth booking - The hotel isn't really like the pictures, maybe it was 5+ years ago but now it is outdated and quite run down. The beach club where you see pictures of an infinity pool is derelict as are many other buildings around the hotel. The rooms themselves are spacious and the staff are friendly and happy to help but the hotel itself is not somewhere I would choose to stay again. This hotel was the most expensive out of all the places we stayed whilst travelling Bali and was sadly the most disappointing. The room wasn't very clean, the pool area is run down and in need of repair and again didn't feel particularly clean. The location is good for accessing dreamland beach but it is a long drive out to get to other places so either need to rent a bike or be happy getting grab/taxis everywhere. The breakfast was ok, not a huge variety but the pastries, bread and eggs were all nice and fresh. The other hot food didn't look very appealing so we didn't try it. The hotel restaurant and bar are extortionate prices (more expensive than Australian bars!) and one of our family members got Bali belly after drinking cocktails there one night (we had all eaten/drank the same all day the only difference was they had 3 cocktails at the hotel bar and they got sick later on that evening). Overall I would suggest looking elsewhere, it is a shame as the hotel had a lot of potential if management had kept up with the upkeep of facilities.

• lauradonlin (10/5): Beautiful Resort - The Klapa Resort is wonderful, it is extremely clean everywhere and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are the best part about this hotel, they are so kind and ready to help you with anything making for a lovely atmosphere. Whilst at the hotel I also had a full body massage, I have been travelling Asia for 4 months and I can honestly say this was the best massage I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend Klapa Resort and would come back!

• Anastasia (1/5): Would avoid! - The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The beach is 5-7 minutes away and can be accessed via stairs. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The pictures of the room on Booking do not reflect the reality. The air conditioner was leaking water, and the curtains had large holes. The breakfast area was unhygienic, with flies all over the fresh salad section. The bed sheets were stained, the chair and bed were filthy, and even the iron was dirty and covered in stains. Overall, the hotel was very disappointing and far below expectations.

It was close to the beach! The room was huge, loved the space! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Played table tennis and pool. They had a fitness room, top roof pool! Excellent facilities! The only minor thing was the laundry - it was sooo expensive to have it dry cleaned, laundered etc so much so I looked up on google and found a local who collected, delivered it and did it all in the SAME day for only $35 NZD where as the hotel quoted me $146 NZD not worth it.

However, if you need a calm, relaxing, far from the city husle and bustle and a second to none killer of a sunset view, you wouldn't get a better place. If you surf then you will be at the dreamland beach from sunrise to sunset. The amenities they have will suffice. They provide a really clean and tidy rooms. The staff are attentive and friendly.

They decorated our room for my friends birthday which was a nice touch We didn’t realise it was so out of the way in an old resort type complex. It was actually quite creepy. The room itself seems fine on arrival but the longer we were there we picked out how run down it was. It also smelt musty. We then went to try sleep (at approx 4pm) and construction work started next door. We rang reception to move room and they said they’d get back to us but didn’t ring us until the next day? We found it creepy at night aswell, it was so echoy. Would not recommend as there is a lot nicer and central in uluwatu.

The view from my room is very nice, the golf course. From the rooftop you can see Dreamland Beach and the golf course. The breakfast is okay, not too many choices. The location is very strategic because there is direct access to Dreamland Beach. I think the hotel is worth it.

The rooms were spacious, airy, and modernly decorated, making it a real pleasure to spend time inside. Watching the sunset from the terrace was an experience in itself. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The location perfectly combines tranquility with breathtaking views of Uluwatu. It was truly beyond my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Uluwatu!
• hellmuti (10/5): Excellent place to stay for longer periods of time! - This is a fabulous hotel in a superb location one stair from one of the best beaches of Bali. Dreamland Beach which is really beautiful and has some great places to eat. The room is huge and has a beautiful view onto the golf course and a great bathroom with a beautiful tub and a separate shower. I have been staying here for over two months. It’s very easy to get a ride into town for dinner and some nightlife. Also Gojek will deliver food from many really good restaurants in Uluwatu. The restaurant and pool area on the top floor have a great view and watching the surfers on the big waves rolling in can leave one speechless. Great rooftop to sunbathe and really relax. Obviously I like this property very much and have really no complaints. Oh, the team working here is extremely polite and efficient. The breakfast is great. Many thanks to the whole staff for extending such kind hospitality!

• sumansD1437XY (2/5): Diamond wedding ring got stolen from the safety tool box - STAY AWAY from Klapa Resort, Uluwatu. This place is a total nightmare. My diamond wedding ring was STOLEN right out of the safety box in my room. Yes, the so-called safety box that’s supposed to protect your valuables. And guess what? The CCTV cameras were “not working” at that exact time. How convenient. It was clearly taken by their housekeeping staff and the management could not care less. No accountability, no help, nothing but excuses. You go to a luxury resort expecting peace of mind, but instead, you leave with heartbreak, anger, and your most precious belongings gone. This resort is a JOKE. Zero security. Zero responsibility. If you value your belongings and your sanity, do yourself a favor and never book this place. The manager was utterly rude and had the audacity to blame me that i might not have wore the ring only. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Don't visit this place ever
• teenmusafir (6/5): Soulless - Nice location . Definitely nicer rooftop pool and view of the ocean . Its in the vicinity of a golf course or Infact within . But lacks hospitality in terms of offerings . Restaurant is lacking in variety and extraordinarily expensive . The food on the breakfast buffet is avoidable. They have an interesting and innovative way of drawing people to the restaurant at sunset . They offer complimentary cheap snacks and lure people into expensive drinks. Over time one realises its a scam as you’ve had snacks and its dinner time . So you end up ordering from their over priced menu .And its way far from nearby restaurants . You cannot just walk out to nearby eateries . Also notable fact , dreamland beach just below the property is not so clean and avoidable. My suggestion stay here for max 1 night for the rooftop view and nice green views of the golf course and order from Gojek . The place lacks it . Its a big elephant standing and its neither a family hotel or a surfers paradise . Basically its a suitable for a night out max for young couples . Yeah you can enjoy that .

• Elisha (2/5): - Previous room - Broken outside sliding door - Broken shower tile - Hole in wall - mouse, Mouse poo and ants coming out - Broken fridge, hole underneath from leaking - Really mouldy smell in room - been having breathing and coughing issues since we have stayed here, and theres mould all throughout the room such as curtains, roof and phone cord - Dirty floors - Stain on the towel - Staff were going to spray something to kill the bugs while we were in the room. Very bad for health. New room - Broken left bed light flashing - Power point not working next to bed on left - Mould on the blind - Bed very uncomfortable as to hard - Stain and Holes in the sheets - Sheet doesn’t even cover mattress properly - Dirty kettle Overall advise - No hand towels - white paintlegs from sitting on chairs at breakfast - ⁠Food is bad - more so at dinner meals
• Aman (9/5): - It’s a bit expensive but the location was great. The beach was just walking distance down from the hotel itself and super nice and private even. The property was clean enough but don’t expect aesthetics.
• Darcey (2/5): - The staff were lovely and helpful, but the property itself was not pleasant. Very dirty, mouldy, run down. Location was not great either. It had a nice view, but was not near anything. The photos were not like the resort at all. We were there for an hour then changed hotels. Unless you are there purely to play golf, I would not recommend. As above ^
