The hotel is working with bad external providers and they know it but do nothing agains them. Such a shame!

- Hugh (7/5): The tranquility, the location, the breakfast and the Staff make it all worthwhile. - The breakfast offering is diverse and well-presented, with a good selection of both Asian and Western dishes. The food quality was consistently fresh, and the dining area was clean and well-maintained. However, the coffee selection could be enhanced, as options such as lattes and cappuccinos were not available. The rooms, while clean, felt somewhat dated and lacked the level of comfort and finish that might be expected at this price point. Although functional, they would benefit from refurbishment to better align with the overall impression of the property. Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent during my stay, which was disappointing and an area that would benefit from improvement. Additionally, while the room offered a pleasant view as advertised, the exterior window was not clean, which detracted from the overall experience. The hotel building itself is visually impressive, with a grand and elegant design. However, this sense of opulence is not fully reflected in the condition of the rooms and some interior areas. That said, the true strength of this hotel lies in its atmosphere and service. The property offers a peaceful and tranquil environment, creating a genuine sense of retreat from the outside world. The location is also excellent and convenient for visitors. Most notably, the staff were exceptional. Their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were among the best I have experienced in over 40 years of international travel. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, and this level of service is a significant asset to the hotel. Poor Wifi and Coffee selections, and the restaurant below the hotel - I am unsure if it is directly or indirectly linked ot the hotel. It is well overpriced, and if you are a Westerner, don't order the steaks; unfortunately, the meat in Lao is of a very poor standard. Stick to fish and Asian cuisine, and you will be fine, and the servers again are excellent - avoid the steak offerings and remember it is overpriced, but the ambience and the view are beautiful. Remember also to tip the servers, as they are not well remunerated.

Beautifully maintained entrance and clean. We loved the huge window in our room with sweeping views of the Mekong. The rooms, though spacious and well laid out, are a bit plain and starting to feel dated. Also, the entire hotel had hard surfaces. Sounds echo everywhere and all doors close with a bang. The air conditioning in our room was either on frigid or off. No temperature setting possible. And our bathroom sink was missing the stopper.

Le petit-déjeuner est correct : un buffet simple, sans être exceptionnel, mais cohérent avec la prestation, même si le prix de la chambre reste élevé pour le Laos Le vrai point négatif reste l’insonorisation : elle est quasiment inexistante, nous entendions les voisins comme s’ils étaient dans notre chambre, ce qui a fortement impacté notre confort.

Die günstige Lage am Mekong animiert zu einem Spaziergang entlang der Uferpromenade. In fußläufiger Entfernung gibt es auch Restaurants und ein Cafe auf der anderen Straßenseite. Das Frühstück war ordentlich. Parkplätze in großer Anzahl am Hotel. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise war das hier eine gute Unterkunft. Konkret habe ich nichts gravierendes zu bemängeln.

- CH (9/5): Luxe hotel in Pakse - Waarschijnlijk het meest luxe hotel in Pakse, beetje buiten het centrum, maar wel in de buurt van de markt, een grote supermarkt om de hoek en eettentjes in de buurt. Ontbijt is erg goed, de bedden zijn geweldig en de service ook. Er zit een aardig restaurant bij (je moet wel de live muziek erbij kunnen hebben). Zwembad is fijn om aan het eind van de dag even af te koelen. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. De waterdruk in de douche laat wat te wensen over, maar dat was niet hinderlijk. Als je voor een garden view kamer hebt (i.t.t. de riverview kamers) heb je waarschijnlijk uitzicht over daken en/of een bouwput. Ons heeft het niet gestoord.

- Marjolijn (7/5): - Great hotel, good breakfast buffet, nice personnel, close to the market. If you walk a bit further there are some nice restaurants etc. The restaurant is perfect for a drink overlooking the Mekong. Swimming pool is really nice. A bit of noise due to reconstruction.

- David (10/5): Champasak, Pakxe, Laos - This hotel is perfect for good wiew over the Mekong river. Very close to supermarket and 7 / 11. The staff even helped me exchange Thai bath to local money. For me personally the bed was way to soft. And the staff was maybe to polite... Couldnt even open a door myself ( except for the door to the room).

- Mena (6/5): Could be better - This hotel was conveniently located. Everything was pretty close by. Night market about 5 mins drive. Waterfalls and zip lining about 30-40 mins drive. However the hotel is kind of old. The lobby and restaurant area was nicely decorated but the room lacked a lot. Furniture was old.
- Kristie (8/5): Pleasant stay, Lovely restaurant - Nice hotel at a reasonable price. The staff were warm, polite and always willing to help. The buffet breakfast had a wide selection and everything was fresh and tasty. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals at very affordable prices, with a stunning view over the Mekong River. The location was spot on—an easy walk to local markets, a supermarket, pharmacy, and plenty of shops. Overall, it was an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

- John (8/5): Bedding & Food - Please include a thin bedsheet on the bed so guests have the option of lightly covering up at night if they get too warm. The breakfast each morning was excellent and the food was good. The dinner menu included a wide variety of food and it was all very good. The entertainment at dinner was good too.
- William (8/5): - Food is expensive and hotel is setup for foreigners. It is a large hotel and for Laos it is probably one of the better ones. Good view of river and if you need a place to stay it would work. Sort of like a convention hotel in US.

- 291genej (8/5): 200 room hotel overlooking Mekong's 4,530’ Laos-Nippon Bridge. - My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving before 2PM by the reserved hotel van from PKZ Airport. In the grand marble lobby, a welcoming receptionist copied our passports, presented our key card, and we took the elevator to the 5th floor’s wide marble hallway. Superior riverview king #505 was spacious, tile floored & clean; fully outfitted bathroom with tub shower(quick hot water), closet, minibar/hotpot/coffee/water, a comfortable king across a small TV(1 French & 12 Asian channels), bench & shelf desk, table & 2 reading chairs, adequate lighting & secure wifi, 3 outlets, central AC with wall control and opening windows to the 5* Mekong sunset. The 6AM breakfast buffet was mostly Asian with a noodle bar, steamed & fried rice, fried noodles with vegetables, baked chicken, an egg station, and also fruit juice/fresh fruits/yoghurt, children's cereals, cheese/ham, breads/jams & 2 coffee machines. We swam in the large clean pool with nice towels and I used the adjoining 7 station gym. This prominent 2010 hotel is next to the large Friendship supermarket and 2 blocks from the sprawling Pakse Market.
- kevind52 (6/5): Better than average but nothing special. - Hello, stayed for 3 nights as had stayed there previously over the years on the many trips to Laos. Works OK as a middle of the road hotel for business people and those on group trips. Rooms spartan but clean and reception always polite. Great position on the Mekong River and in walking distance to the open market. Breakfast disappointing compared to previous years .
- Ian (7/5): Very good for how small the town is - Breakfast was fine - opened at 6 am which was helpful. The hotel actually stands out as quite posh considering the town is pretty small and quiet. Restaurant food is good at night- although it is in a quiet area. Supermarket is around the corner and a few cafes. Not all staff speak good English but the guy who helped me book a game of golf and airport transportation was very helpful. When you ask for something from reception you dont normally get it - in my case i asked for soap three times - and i noticed other people complaining at reception that their requests were being ignored. I was close to a room who engaged in 4 am discussions - and you can hear every word.

- Christine (5/5): Pleasant but did not meet with my expectation mainly due to the bathroom and breakfast selection. - Nice large room with a great view of the bridge and Mekong. Pool and gardens were well kept. Dining outside by the river was very enjoyable. The food was excellent. A convenient place to stay for a trip by car to coffee plantations and the 3 waterfalls Pakse is not geared up for tourists but is more suitable for stopovers for backpackers. There was very little choice of breakfast for westerners. There were no restaurants within easy walking distance. The bathroom was very tired and a number of issues were experienced.

- Graham (10/5): Above all else in Pakse - Clearly a 4-star hotel from the appearance and staff behaviour. Lovely room overlooking Mekong. Nice swimming pool. And so cheap for a 4*. We just paid nearly double per night for a 2* on Don Khone. Shower in the bath.
- Arun (7/5): Riverside modern hotel in Pakse was not convenient for visiting Wat Phu - the main reason many visitors come here. - Staff was very helpful. The front desk arranged transportation, tour to Wat Phu, massages. Breakfast buffet was good. Location on the river with great views from the room and the restaurant. Location - Too far from Champasak. Not walkable to cafes and restaurants. Menu in cafe/bar in lobby very limited. Staff at front desk do not speak a lick of English.

- Nigel (2/5): Unfriendly and unwelcoming. - It was clean This hotel is focussed solely on on its majority Chinese guests. Rarely have I felt so unwelcome in a hotel - the reception and restaurant staff gave the impression they didn’t really want us there. The breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever encountered in a hotel of this standing - the buffet was pretty much stripped bare by the hoards of Chinese guests as soon as it opened, and was not replenished. The staff really couldn’t be bothered. The hotel is only a couple of hundred metres from Pakse new market, so I don’t understand why there was such a poor selection of fruit and salad. It really was an uncomfortable and unwelcoming stay.
