Guest Reviews
- Mark (8/5): -
- Jacqueline (7/5): It was ok overall. But if an amenity is closed or not operational it should be posted. - The price and location.
Friendliness of staff. That the indoor pool was closed and was not disclosed on the website. We book hotels that have indoor pools for my kids. Very upset we didnt know and would have gone elsewhere.
- Sally (7/5): It was good but could have been better. - It was clean- bed was good and the shower was great! The first thing we encountered was a sign saying the pool was closed indefinitely. It didn’t say that in the booking.☹️
- Janice (8/5): - The cleanliness the friendly staff The beds were too high for a shorter disabled person
- Brust (10/5): - Enjoyed the tub and the rest very peaceful room Tub took awhile to fill low water pressure but the water was hot and the jets were amazing
- Jodi (10/5): -
- Thomas (1/5): Horrible - Nothing How dirty it was
- Jeff (8/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in at a hotel.
- Lacy (8/5): -
- Kaylee (4/5): -
- Tonia (8/5): - Close to family and Fort Custer National Cemetery. This was my second stay here, the first was three years ago. Both stays had great staff! Your usual Best Western breakfast was done well and the coffee always hot, no matter how early you need to get up and go. Our bathroom floor had crumbs or something on it was the only drawback but everything else clean. Culver’s next door was great both times also. Highly recommended.
- Dani (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Rodney (8/5): - Clean room, easy parking. Very friendly staff. Easy on and off I 94. Many restaurants near by.
- Martese (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Trip to Michigan - The staff is vry nice, the room was clean and comfortable. I will considerthis hotel next year when we come to Battlecreek for Michigan Metal festival.
- Rod (6/5): - Good location and quiet. Ultra processed breakfast foods. I'm a health nut so not that interesting for me.
Bedframe was a little noisy
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just OK. - Although we were right over the office, the Internet link was so weak that I was unable to connect.
No curb appeal.
- Kendra (8/5): - It was right next to Culvers, so treated myself to dinner before relaxing.
Looking forward to the hottub...
- Michael (8/5): a review - Bed - comfortable, Breakfast - nothing fancy, but good, Pool - probably due to be cleaned, Other food - ask about discount at Culvers next door. Someone had switched cables around on TV, but easily fixed and who would even think to add "check hdmi coming in on hdmi 1 and not hdmi2" to the checklist?

- Brandy (8/5): - The Best Western Hotel was just fine for our 1 night stay. The big problem we had was Expedia themselves. When we book through Expedia they send a virtual card over to complete the reservation, however Expedia virtual card was declined so we had to wait for several hrs to get that to go through. Evidently there was another 3rd party that was with Expedia as well. So confusing. The manager was so helpful and had explained that this is happening so much lately with Expedia. That’s what truly made our experience not pleasant. Everything else was perfect and the hotel was extremely quiet and we had the pool to ourselves 👍. I will probably have to double check using Expedia to book future hotels.👎
- Spero (10/5): - It was a good place for the price
- Chad (6/5): - Loud, dirty, but at least the jacuzzi tub worked great. expensive for the property and next door to red roof in with people loitering all day/night didn't give off a very safe vibe
- Erik (10/5): - Comfortable bed, friendly staff and great location.
- martin (8/5): - Nearly perfect but first impression was difficult parking and had to summon clerk to front to check in. Everything else is great.
- Oluseyi (2/5): bad! - n/a No elevator, food not great, bathroom is really really awful for the money i paid for 1 day!
- Joshua (2/5): - There was a grit on the floor in the room, couldn’t walk barefoot. The hallway smelled like someone was vaping weed constantly. Couldn’t fall asleep because neighbors across the hall sounded like they were making adult films. Left early.
- Mildred (6/5): - Dead tree in h a ndycap parking spot.
- 357donaldg (2/5): Dissappointed - I was very disappointed in this Best Western. I asked for a mobility accessible room in my reservation. They gave me what I asked for and close to the front office but the air conditioner did not work. It was pushing out warm air and the room was becoming hot. They called their maintenance man to the room and he could not fix the air conditioner. We were forced to take another room but it was not mobility accessible and we had no other choice for their were no other mobility rooms available. We were hoping to go back to the mobility room the next day but they hadn't fixed their new air conditioner in that room yet. I was told it was a wiring issue. Why did this problem happen just on the day we needed this room? We couldn't just go to any other hotel so we were stuck with the room they gave us. I asked for some money back for the inconvenience but they gave me nothing. It was about 91 degrees outside so we needed air conditioning working in the room. We needed a mobility accessible room which we were forced to use a non-mobility accessible room. Breakfast was good.
- Jessica (8/5): One night stay - Came here for our wedding night. The room was good. Not great. Was clean. A little outdated. We did get a room with a jacuzzi tub in it. It was so humid in our room that bed sheets and the floors, tables etc were damp. I slipped on the floor at one point and will definitely be feeling it for days. Suppose it was good that we got a soaking tub. The air conditioning ran all night and it did nothing for the humidity in the room. Outside of that, we had no real issues. Bed wasn’t the coziest but it also wasn’t awful either. I did enjoy my time. Staff was friendly
- Andrea (8/5): - Comfortable beds, very friendly and efficient staff, nice refreshing pool, quiet throughout the night and decent breakfast!! Neighborhood was a little sketchy!
- Tirupan (6/5): - musty smell in room with dampness in the room.
- Jonathan (8/5): - First of all, let me compliment the staff in all regards. The front desk attendant was very friendly, welcoming, and personable. I don't care what she makes, she is underpaid for her professionalism and affability. All other hotel staff we encountered during our stay were kind and helpful.
The room was very nice: two queen beds with good mattresses and pillows, good channel selection on TV, nice bathroom (and clean), and a mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker for ease of use. Everything in good working order. A little smaller than I imagined for what I paid for (ACA room), but not surprisingly so.
A little bummed that there was clearly a spot a hot tub used to be (but was no more), but the pool itself was okay. My eyes are not burning, and that's a good sign.
Continental breakfast was exactly as promised - good selection of hot and cold cereals, hot items, toast/bagels/donuts/etc, milk/juice/coffee/hot cocoa. I made a cheese bagel sausage/egg/cheese sandwich and it was delicious.
The only thing that is neither positive nor negative was the location. I mean, kind of a great location - close to several dining options, close to a mall, relatively short trip to downtown - but that intersection is BUSY. The hotel shares a parking lot with another hotel, and several businesses. Not a lot of traffic, but just kinda cramped.
All that being said, I will definitely consider this hotel if I travel through Battle Creek again.
- Kris (10/5): Battle creek - Stay was great!! Very personable people.
- Wilson (2/5): - This is a motel.
- Myers (8/5): Very good -
- Eugene (8/5): - Met and exceeded expectations.
- Anthony (10/5): - Very clean
- Michele (8/5): - Property was nice. Disappointed that Expedia charges more than the property would itself.
- Joelle (8/5): - The property was close to the highway which made it easy to find. It was surrounded by a couple other hotels and motels. The hotel staff that checked us in was busy trying to figure out something with other guests. When she got to us, I went to pay and the system froze. I had to come back and she had to post the second payment while the pending payment was still on my card. The room was good! The beds were comfy and spacious and the sheets were clean. The bathtub needs to be replaced or updated (there were stains that looked like a good scrub couldn’t get out). The indoor pool was lukewarm which I was expecting something warmer but still nice it had an indoor pool. We were on the first floor and our window faced the parking lot, so in the morning the loud truck that was parked outside our window decided to take off. You could smell the exhaust through their AC/heating unit. The continental breakfast was its basic stuff (no bacon though). My daughter (2 years old) picked out a muffin that was prepackaged. When we got back to the room and opened the muffin, it had mold on it. No big deal since we were going to the Cereal Festival anyway. The staff were always nice and pleasant. Parking was convenient. Good for a weekend vacation.
- David (10/5): - It was the cheapest and wasn't disappointed
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (10/5): Very nice staff good breakfast and hot coffee - Very pleasant staff 24 hrs a day.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We will definitely stay here again. Staff was efficient, hotel was clean & breakfast was great. Conveniently located.
- Rrmommy (3/5): Poor - Location My friend got there before us She said the room wasn't cleaned (unchanged sheets, hairs in the shower etc) and it was really old. Nothing like pictures at all. So we switched to a hotel. The front lady was nice to take care of the problem.
- David (10/5): - It’s an older hotel but has been maintained well and was clean. Looks like the recently redid all the flooring, it was nice. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.
- Tamara (7/5): Good -
- Brenda (10/5): I would stay again - Friendly staff, clean facility, beds were very comfortable, breakfast had lots of options, 24 hr coffee and tea. Best location for places to eat and other store if needed.
- Anna (10/5): Like this place - Staff was amazing Everything is good
- Christopher (8/5): - Average property

- Michael (7/5): Great option to stop for the night if passing through Battle Creek - Good value for a night, continental breakfast was decent, pool was refreshing Pillows were uncomfortable, No TV channels- might have been a one off issue didn’t try to resolve after my own troubleshooting
- Billal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Raid (5/5): Passable -
- Missy (5/5): Passable -
- Ranae (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating and made our stay very pleasurable.
- Juanita (4/5): - Water didn’t go down in the shower. Tub was peeling. Mold on ceiling mold on curtains.
- Marsha (2/5): Disappointed with hotels.com - Who was closed chemical racial to high hotels.com’s website does not respond. Hotel was cooperative to cancel reservation without cancellation charges, but Hotels.com won’t respond.
- Joanne (10/5): - Clean, good location, helpful staff!
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- John (6/5): - When I arrived after midnight I was informed the water was shutoff so no showers couldn’t flush toilet couldn’t wash they did supply water bottles
- william (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and very helpful.
- Thomas (10/5): - good standard hotel, well-located for us, easy to locate, good parking, friendly and helpful staff.
- Michael (6/5): - This place is pretty good compared to most other inn for the price.
- Barbara (6/5): - Staff were fine and our room was nice. However despite being a non-smoking building, the place reeks of cigarette smoke.
- Mohamad (10/5): - Great all around
- Shontelle (1/5): Bad -
- Carol (5/5): It was ok. - Close to location we had to get to. The price was definitely not worth it.
- Brendan (10/5): Great Place To Stay! - The staff was absolutely amazing and the room and Jacuzzi tub were unbelievably great! Will be staying there again if I am ever in the Battle Creek area!
- Jerold (10/5): - Clean, quiet and courteous staff.
- Erika (8/5): - Great service and super friendly staff! Only notable item was the hollow rooms/floors but overall would recommend.
- Matthew (6/5): Solid. - Simple no frills hotel. Nice staff, clean and quiet.
- Louis (8/5): - Clean
- Daniel (10/5): - best value
- Lynn (10/5): Highly recommend staying here. - I would give this hotel an “A”
Location for an easy on easy off of the highway, friendly staff, Culver restaurant right on the property, room was well equipped and very clean. Prefect for our long trip.
- Tammi (9/5): Superb -

Very friendly staff who obviously care about visitors having a comfortable stay. The lobby and lounging area are cozy, welcoming and festive. We will stay here whenever we are in Battle Creek.
- Mcafee (10/5): Exceptional -
- ToriH308 (8/5): Hidden Gem - Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast had many different options hot and cold all very tasty. The $1 vending machine was a nice surprise. Shower was nice and hot and good water pressure. Lots of channels for the TV..Very little noise
- Tnt (9/5): Superb - Jetted tub was nice and big Beds could be more comfy
- Tnt (9/5): Superb - Jetted spa in room was nice and big Beds could be mote comfy
- Melissa (10/5): 10/10 - Bed was so couftuble
- Christina (8/5): - This is my go to hotel when staying overnight in Battle Creek, Michigan. The staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable and the towels are not paper thin. The only thing that would make it perfect is if they add full length mirrors to every room. It is very difficult to confirm your outfit is perfect without a full length mirror.
- J (8/5): Thsnks - Have extra pillows
Reimbursed me easily when the vending machine stole my money Knocked on my door woke me up to clean the room early. Where very loud nearby couldn't sleep afterwards. TV didn't work.
- Terry (8/5): Very good - Location.
- Doreen (6/5): - Toilet was broken, not attached to the floor. Tv remote didn't work. Property was overall run down.
- Carolyn (8/5): Very good - The pool and pool room were quite cool in temperature. The hotel appears to be dated.
- Donna (8/5): - Clean. Room doors very noisy.
- April (8/5): - Quick one night getaway served its purpose. Only complaint were the pillows were very small
- Lee (10/5): Clean comfortable room - Needed a clean room for the night.
Love the laminate flooring in the room. No yucky carpet. Yeah for this BW upgrade.
