- Terri (7/5): -
- James (1/5): -
- Jonathon (10/5): - Friendly staff. Extremely helpful Little pricey compared to others in that town
- LP (4/5): Plan for food and water - Very comfortable bed. No hot water, expired dairy products at breakfast bar, innkeeper shoo’ed us away before 10AM for breakfast.
- Roger (6/5): -
- James (6/5): - In need of a renovation and much needed repair
- Irene (4/5): - Won’t stay here again
- Sandra (10/5): - Everything was great and the staff was very friendly.
- Joe (10/5): - Everything was old and beat up. The bed was not comfortable. It was clean but didn't look clean.
- Steven (7/5): - The staff is really helpful and concerned about anything that you need. It's close to some convenient stores and restaurants. Plus my son and his family stays 5 minutes from the hotel. This particular room is close to the house cleaning employees supply room so every morning when they started working we could hear them rolling out their carts to start work. We got woke up everyday at the same time.
- Brian (2/5): - terrible stay and night.
- Donald (8/5): - expedia failed to make payment to hotel though my card was charged. it took a long time texting with Expedia to get resolved. was not pleased
- Robert (8/5): Nice place to stay for a small Texan town - Nice place to stay. Breakfast was good. Hallettsville is a nice, small, clean town of 2000+ persons. Highways are very good. Cattle and Oil country with more hills than I realized.
- amesquita (8/5): -
- Ashley (5/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - The location in proximity to where I need to go The key didn’t work and I had to get the key swapped out 3 times. The door didn’t close well, had to slam it shut. Bathroom was dark and the shower drained slow. Plug next to bed did not work.
- Yvonne (2/5): Charged even though I cancelled in time - I didn't stay here, had cancelled in May 2025 but they still charged me anyway
Manager was very rude when I spoke to him and gave him all my info and he still charged me
- Kathie (5/5): When I went on booking.com I picked the 160.00 a night when I was charged it was 258 when I called the desk to ask about - Nothing It was extremely old, the chain for the door was missing and the smoke alarm was missing pieces
When I would go to the front desk no one one there (except at check in) once I went to the front desk and the doors were locked. when we went to get breakfast the serving trays were empty and we could not get anyone to be able to fill i.
The towels smelled like smoke.
- David (10/5): Nice - Clean and comfortable.
- Mary (10/5): - Very friendly reception
- regina (10/5): -
- stephanie (10/5): - Clean and close to the venue I was staying in!
- Chrisi (6/5): - It was ok. The bathroom was not so great. The shower was weird to work and the pipe on shower head sticking out of the wall area. But given the circumstances I had to it was doable.
- Bryan (10/5): - Check in/out was easy and the clerk was very friendly.
The room was in need of updating. Coffee maker and television remote didn't work. A/C was cold and we slept well.
- Erika (1/5): It was aweful. - The property was so bad that as soon as we checked in and entered the room, we left the premises. There were bugs on the bed and the room spelled like mold. The scent was so strong that we didn't even unload our luggage. We left right away.
- djz032070 (10/5): No issues, clean, quiet and convenient. - I have to say, my overnight stay on a Saturday was quiet, clean and well appointed with no major issues. Parking was easy. Check in and out was friendly and fast. Did not try breakfast. My double room on the top floor was clean, remodeled, well lit and everything worked great. Shower pressure and temps were good. Bed was clean and comfortable. AC worked well even though it would turn off and on throughout the night which is annoying. Very little wear and tear. Provided coffee maker, bathroom toiletries and a table with 2 chairs. Located right off 77 and convenient to a Mexican restaurant and the Knights Hall. A little high priced, but would stay again if needed.
- Carter (7/5): Good -
- Keith (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK property with significant flaws - Stayed two nights. On the first night, a ceiling alarm started beeping at 1:30 AM because the battery had died. This is frankly inexcusable; they should have long ago installed 10-year alarms and identified the afternoon they would replace each one so as not to interrupt guests, especially in the middle of the night.
Breakfast was a sad affair; the eggs and sausages were cold and of low quality, and the overall variety of offerings was pedestrian. But the waffles come in the shape of Texas, if that's your thing.
Other aspects are positive. Convenient location, reasonably modern, comfortable bedding (though the pillows need an upgrade), good strong shower with easily regulated temperature settings. Unit AC as opposed to the always-preferred central air and thermostat. Refrigerator is a plus, inadequate freezer inside it is a minus.
- Logan (7/5): Good - Location Older rooms
- Karen (10/5): - It was great
- Letha (10/5): - Front desk was very friendly room was clean breakfast was great. Will stay again
- Ashbrown (7/5): Good -
- Helen (8/5): - It was very clean. breakfast typical, but good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Christina (9/5): Close to Shiner. - Staff was so nice. Rooms were very clean.
- Michelle (10/5): Great plac3 to spend the night ! - Super clean and comfy ,nice breakfast and super friendly staff! Everything was good …
- Caitlin (10/5): - It’s an older property, but the staff were very kind and knowledgeable about the local area.
- Bobby (4/5): I would not stay here again. - Convenient Bed was terrible, bathroom fan noise was unbearable, breakfast area was cold
- Shelly (6/5): Ok but could be better - We were in town for a craft show. We are a vendors and stay here every quarter. This time there was black hair on one of the beds that was't ours. The channel list provided in the room is not up to date either.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Great
- Benjamin (2/5): - This place was dirty, bugs alive and dead everywhere, and majority of the channels didn’t work
- Cindy (6/5): - Good
- Saul (4/5): - The hotel is clean but shows the lack of investment for the price they charge for the rooms. We went to breakfast and it was more of a continental style not a hot breakfast. They had one small personal size soap for both the sink and the bath.
- Becky (5/5): Passable - It’s very outdated and the switches on the lamps next to the bed did not work
- Larry (10/5): - Close to the event we went to attend
- Jeff (6/5): - .
- Steven (9/5): Superb - The rooms are big enough for the2 of us . Breakfast is ok. It's really close to my son house People hanging out sitting on the stairs when we arrive to go up to the room. All kind of noise can be heard at all times of the night
- Stacy (4/5): - Room had a bad ordor.
- John (5/5): Passable - Location. Running toilet in room. Even not a crowd per se, the staff (only one seen) could not keep put with demand.
- Waylon (8/5): - Very simple and plain hotel. However, it was clean.
- Ronald (1/5): Bad - The pool was not working
Was told that when I checked in
- Paula (6/5): - The picture of the pool online is incredibly deceiving. Online it was blue and clean and inviting. In person, not so much. Dirty, bugs (big) floating and just plain not working…pool chairs and lounges were all broken in one way or another. There were no signs saying it was closed but when I went to the office to ask about the pool they said yes it was closed. This is something that should be mentioned on check in. The pool was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel and we couldn’t even use it.
- Christine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ashley (10/5): - Perfect for what we needed. Simple, clean hotel for a night stay.
- Cheryl (10/5): Will be my go-to place - Very clean and comfortable. Front desk was amazing to work with when my schedule changed.
- Stella (7/5): Good -
- Shelly (10/5): Good stay - Comfortable bed. We stay here once every 3 months.
- Alberto (10/5): - Kind owner/attendant. Pleasant stay
- Bryan (4/5): - Old
- Karina (9/5): Good place. - The receptionist was very nice The carpet was a little dirty.
- Sandra (10/5): - The staff was very friendly, the pool was nice and oh the bed and pillows were so comfortable.
- Marla (4/5): - The motel is very easy to find, right off of Hwy 77. Check- in was easy. When we arrived at the room it smelled musty and the AC did not work. There were clipped fingernails on the desk- disgusting. Tried to call the front desk and there was no answer. The call went to voice mail each time i called. We had to walk to the office to alert them to the AC issue. They did promptly come to the room and had to relocate us to another room. The bathroom light fixtures was partially detached from the wall and there was fear it may fall. Overall very rundown.
- officesherry1 (2/5): BEWARE TRAVELERS - Best Western Hotel Hallettsville Tx. This is a working mans hotel. Rooms had an order, fans and light in bathroom made noise all night. lighting bedroom furniture is very very old. Everything about this hotel should not have the name Best Western attached to it. Are the standards for Best Western had hit rock bottom.
- Catherine (4/5): Not what we expected from a Best Western property. - The staff was friendly upon checking in / out. The pool was clean. The fridge worked well. The location was good. The room had dead bugs on the floor. The room was outdated and needed refreshing. The bottom sheet would not stay in place because the elastic was old.
The breakfast was basically non-existence . We tried to eat 1 morning, scrambled eggs and 2 sausages, and mini muffins were available, and eggs were overcooked or old , and I'm not sure 🤔! There was 1 banana available that morning. (7:30ish) Kerig coffee.
The pool chairs were torn and need replaced.
The room was overpriced for what we got.
- Diane (4/5): - There was soap in the shower when we got there. I take that as it was not cleaned! Had to ask for washcloths, as there weren’t enough for our party. Had to go get toilet paper because there was not any extra in the bathroom.
- Joe (7/5): Good -
- Tom (2/5): Disappointing from what we are used to at Best Western, and we will not stay there again next time. - Not much there. There was a large gap under the door, allowing bugs into the room that we had to deal with. One bedspread was tattered and torn. The sink did not drain, as there is not handle for release, so I had to take it out. Lighting over the sink is poor, and lights don't even match. The water in the tub did not get very hot in the morning, and the shower head freely moves around in the wall when trying to adjust it. The shower curtain was not even complete laced onto the rod. The corridor around from our room was very dark leading to other rooms. The area of the ice machine and laundry was very dark at night, had no working light and unsafe, so I had to use my phone light. I even took the attendant to show him. The ice machine uses a scooper, which is not very sanitary, and the ice bin door is not automatic to stay closed. The next morning, the light was still not working.
- B4553HZbrandons (10/5): Will Stay Here Again - The room was clean, breakfast was ready in the morning and the staff was friendly. Although it looked as though many of the rooms were booked due to the parking lot being full, there was no noticeable noise at night, nor was there any excessive noise in the morning as folks left.
- Britney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shelly (10/5): Nice Comfortable Rooms - Good stay. Beds were comfortable. Was pulling a trailer and had no problem with parking. Already booked my next stay in May.
- Penny (8/5): Very good -
- Carolyn (9/5): Superb -
- Dwayne (7/5): Good - Breakfast was not appetizing. It was a filler and that's about it. Price, and better breakfast
- Brian (10/5): - reasonably priced
- Alissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Dannell (3/5): It was convenient - Location and parking and good water pressure It smelled, carpet felt damp when we got there and toilets were low
- Paul (8/5): Most convenient and closest place to stay the night before the Shiner Half Marathon coming from Hous - Inexpensive for a night's stay the night before the Shiner Half marathon. N/A
- Carol (6/5): - The unit had been recently painted and the smell was overpowering. Looks like it was just touched up with paint and the sagging ceiling was still visible.
- Rosemarie (9/5): Good breakfast! - Breakfast was excellent. Roshaan was very nice helping us and took care of our breakfast. The room smells a little bit with paint but it did not stop us from having a good night sleep.
- Norman Blake (6/5): Too cold - No hot water was my only complaint
- Tomoko (9/5): Great Value! - The breakfast was good. The room was quite large and had a microwave & refrigerator. Would definitely stay here again. It is a bit dated & older, but the room was clean. This is a small town so we were not expecting or paying for a 5 star hotel.
- Brenda (8/5): Our room was fine and we will probably stay there again. - The egged and sausage were cold. The only alternative were muffins which I liked. The coffee was good. There was not a lot of variety and some food was cold.
- Hollis (8/5): Very good -
- Amber (10/5): Pleasant stay, very nice Manager/owner. - The location was awesome, older but very clean. Also, I had my two small dogs with me, and was not aware there was a charge for them. When I booked, it did not give me the option to pay for them. The guy, who I assume was manager or owner, saw me walking them and asked me "Do you have dogs?" I told him I did, and he said "Oh, I did not charge you for them." I felt bad, but he did not end up charging me, and was super nice about it. Not much of a breakfast selection, but there are restaurants around for good breakfast. Would have loved a hot tub, but I knew what to expect. I would stay again for sure. The pricing is better than surrounding hotels as well.
- Shana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): I had a great stay. I had everything I needed in my room with ample linens and toiletries. - The breakfast was great for me as I had my favorites and the location in the lobby was perfect.
- Su (10/5): - Very comfortable, safe and clean!
- Sam (10/5): - Great service, clean room and wonderful breakfast options. I am very pleased with my stay :)
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darscyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): - The gentleman behind the service desk was very helpful, & polite. The hotel was very clean & the bed was comfortable. Would stay again.
- Anonymous (8/5): comfortable - pool is great, hot breakfast and comfortable bed and cool AC nothing
- Jocelyn (10/5): - The beds were clean and firm, pillows were very comfortable!
- Jose A (4/5): - Called the front desk multiple times no answer, the Pool was dirty, Lobby had an unpleasant smell. Room were not cleaned the next day, Door would not close easily and was hard to open as well.TV had a dull picture and no access to main menu to brighten screen, volume was also set to not go past halfway and the dates tv was not loud enough.
- Deborah (8/5): We enjoyed the breakfast - This is a comfortable stay from the water park. The pool was not clean and lots of smokers were using it
- Marcia (10/5): Amazing - The staff was amazing, I had to fast for a day, cause I had to have a persidure done the next day, well my husband fast with me, so the morning we were getting ready to leave, the owner came up to my husband and gave him a waffle that he made for him, I thought that was amazing.. couldn't ask for better people.
