Guest Reviews
- Lester (4/5): If I had know there were better accommodations close by I would have chosen a different place to stay. - Nothing in particular Very outdated. The amenities were limited. Dryer didn’t work well.
- william (1/5): - Booking . Come did great? The motel staff was horrible Training
- Sloan (4/5): - Staff was very pleasant and it was in a convenient location. I was working an overnight in the woods that night, was looking for a place to crash nearby rather than driving 2 hours home. At work, I was getting eaten alive by ticks and the moment I walked into my room, there was a cockroach on my pillow. I was excited about the pool in the morning and it was too disgusting to get in. When I went to ask the staff about the cockroach and getting a discount, there was no one there.
- William (5/5): - The proximity to Loretta lynns ranch for the TMMR Rally Room was run down and not very clean. The breakfast was waffles or cereal. No toast, eggs, sausage or bacon. There was no fresh fruit.
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Rick (5/5): For the price, would have expected a better facility for a Quality Inn. - Breakfast was good.
Location was excellent.
Staff was friendly and helpful. During breakfast, the 2 staff on duty at desk, were loudly discussing their personal life.
At the room:
Door jamb and lock security was questionable,
Seemed dark & grungy, could use an update in bedding, curtains, carpet, paint.
- Tamara (7/5): Good Value for stay - The property was very clean. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. No rodents. Breakfast ended at 9am.
- kamran (10/5): highly recommend - the staff was exceptionally courteous and property spotless and very updated
- Robert (7/5): Decent value for the price - The breakfast was disappointing. Choices limited to waffles, yogurt, or cereal. Nothing was prepared, all do-it-yourself. The breakfast
- William (10/5): -
- Lindsey (7/5): -
- Laura (3/5): -
- candance (7/5): pleasant but a little boring - More things to do.
- Brian (9/5): Excellent location. Clean Rooms. - Clean
- Leger (5/5): Pool closed - Price The pool wasn't open. I was told they are working o it. I saw no signs of any work. I wouldn't have stayed here if I knew the pool was closed. The shears under the curtain were ripped. The place needs a major update.
- M (10/5): - They put me in a room away from the highway as requested as I needed to rest.
They also served a great breakfast so there was no need for me to go somewhere else to get breakfast before hitting the road. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Lee (8/5): Thankful for the availability on short notice. - Great staff Still a smoky smell even though a non smoking room
- Anthony (6/5): - Not so good but okay
- Virtue (7/5): Good -
- Virginia (3/5): Hotel looks awful nothing like the pictures plug covers broke outside the building is all rusty sidewalk all need painte - Nothing Everything
- Shanya (10/5): - Wonderful location always love coming back to stay here ❤️
- Rick (7/5): Good -
- Greg (10/5): Good economical motel - Clean room and reasonable price No issues
- TennesseePostcard (8/5): Not bad - I didn’t think it was so bad. AC worked, bed was okay. Room was clean. No bugs. Check in was easy. My only beef was that they charged me $100 extra to check in, which is supposed to be refunded. They won’t answer their phone. Booking.com charged me twice for the room, but one charge disappeared (the money just didn’t reappear), but that’s not Quality Inn’s fault. You park right outside your room. I knew I had neighbors, but I couldn’t hear them at all (Thursday night). I checked out too early to see the breakfast. Close to several restaurants. Pool and wifi. Overpriced for a motel, but still a decent place.
- Kenneth (7/5): Overall the room was nice..... Bed was clean and comfortable...... Shower had good water pressure... - Location was OK..... Easy to find.... Plenty of nice restaurants nearby..... Alarm clock by bed was not working..... The refrigerator froze my drinks.... We were there 4 nights and the first three nights they put someone in room beside me and woke me up with loud noises and early in morning blaring loud TV and lots of banging sounds..... Wish they would have put them in other room a little ways from my room.....
- Rulien (6/5): Pleasant -
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Bobette (4/5): Not good. - The room smelt, had to park down a hill when there was more than enough room to park by our room and bathroom was gross.
- Sherry (9/5): Superb - Friendly Nothing
- Sherry (8/5): Very good - The staff were very friendly and helpful.8
- Ricci (10/5): Great place for money amazing little town we will be back! - Quiet staff helpful close to amazing small town of Hurricane Mills A little outdated but can tell they are making improvements
- Richard (1/5): COMPLETE BUMMER - MANAGER IS A TOTAL CREEP! - Did not complete check in as the room requested and promised was not available to me as I was traveling with a pet (which I had disclosed in advance). The front desk clerk was fine - helpful and apologetic. The manager was rude, unhelpful and insulting to both me and the front desk clerk. He refused to come to the front desk to discuss the issues involved and instead engaged in a completely uncivil rant via telephone from his own room (not the office). Interestingly, the front desk clerk (a completely lovely person) had placed the call on speakerphone, so several other parties in line to check in heard his diatribe and were both sympathetic and amused he would talk at me as he did. Found alternative accommodations nearby and enjoyed our stay there - will never return to this location.
- Jada (9/5): Superb - Quite and peaceful It could be updated but it’s not bad
- Trevor (5/5): IF you need to sleep and get rested this place will do just fine but nothing more. - The staff was great and very helpful, very friendly. I requested a room facing the street and on the first floor and they accommodated well. The air conditioning unit did not work to cool the room well, the place was outdated and had a funky smell and very humid in the rooms like the door gets left open when first walking in.
- Jeff (1/5): Red tag! - Nothing. The place should be shut down. The walls and ceiling look ready to collapse. Daylight comes through the closed door. The entire building should be condemned.
- Martin (8/5): Reasonable price - The price was okay.
The breakfast was ok There was no driink vending on the property
- Kelly (8/5): Right off highway. Close to truck stop - I was worried when we got there because I only prefer inside access when traveling alone or girls only but the room was cool and breakfast was good
- Croninger (8/5): Loretta Lynn's - Location, price and cleanliness Nothing
- Melody (8/5): Very good -
- Chanelle (10/5): Exceptional - I loved how friendly the staff was and that the receptionist was so helpfull , telling me what places to go visit and where to find everything. I liked that the property had a laundry and good breakfast in the morning.
- James (8/5): Good. The right price for my needs - I didn't partake of the breakfast. I left early and came home late. Just slept showered and watch a bit of TV. I may have gotten bit by bedbugs. I'm researching the source of my leg bug bites.
- Ron (8/5): Very good - We enjoyed our stay at Quality Inn in Hurricane Mills.
- vintagethisexit (2/5): You won't need a wake up call because you'll be itching to leave ASAP! - When the subject of travel comes up this will be my story of the most uncomfortable evening spent in a hotel room.
A pleasant check-in host, but that does not negate the nightmare I was about to experience.
The room was filthy and rancid from top to bottom.
The room was an absolute litter box - even with my luggage elevated, it came back in the car reeking of cat urine. It smelled so bad in there.
The bathtub was moldy; downright frightening and the towels provided smelled really stale like they only dry them, not wash them.
I quite honestly would have rather slept in my car at the rest stop.
The breakfast is unthoughtful it may as well not be there; there is coffee though.
The 'Forest View' stated upon booking was a marketing tale as we were on the first floor with a van in front of our room.
This was so awful I will never trust a Choice Hotel again, anywhere - I completely removed myself from mailings and offers from this company (Choice Hotels) and every hotel under their corporate umbrella.
- Kenneth (8/5): Was ok, no problems - Ok Add hard boiled eggs for breakfast
- Wesley (7/5): Good -
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (4/5): Disappointing - The property was clean and the staff was courteous. The air didn’t work right in our room and it was 100° outside. So it was pretty warm in our room. The shower water was lukewarm. And the beds were super uncomfortable.
- Stacie (4/5): Efficient for a quick, one night stay but I wouldn't plan a long vacation there. - The beds were comfortable and the television and AC worked good. There was as microwave and mini-fridge that we did not use. The door didn't close good and did not seal. We could see light along the top, side and bottom. There was a big bug in the room (beetle type) that probably came in under the door. The extra door latch at the top didn't hold. With all that said, the door did lock nicely.
The toilet had a mold ring around the water line. Needs to be bleached.
The furniture (chairs and footstool) had horrible stains on them. I would have rather not had them in the room at all.
I generally expect more from the Choice Hotels chain when it comes to safety and cleanliness.
- marypF9932EI (2/5): Disappointing - This place was in desperate need of remodeling. Mold in the bathroom and very dated. Grossly overpriced for the type of property. Breakfast was yogourt and stale muffins. Invoice said Quality Inn but our GPS called it Comfort Inn and all the outdoor signage said the same.
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb -
- Azurdia (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (1/5): Bad - Nothing it was the worst place I ever stayed in my life They gave me a smoking room we are non smokers..The room was dirty smelled horrible the comforter had burn holes in it..And they went in and turned off the water in the bathroom after we checked in and left
- Carol (5/5): It was just OK definitely not worth $130 - Ok. Nothing special. Mattress
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Allie (8/5): Very good -
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- Cynthia (10/5): Room was clean..beds were comfortable - N/A N/A
- Gregory (8/5): Great accommodations - Was a great shower and clean Didn’t have breakfast as expected.
- Richard (9/5): Nice people in a nice place! - Staff terrific and friendly t my pet Toilet seat broken - fell off and hit my head on the shower faucet.
- Aiken (6/5): Pleasant - Location Room needs updating…painting, mattress
- Les (1/5): Bad - THE ROOM!!!!
- Scott (9/5): Reviews caused me concern. They were not founded. -
- Karen (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (5/5): Bearable ! - Staff was helpful and courteous. The condition of the motel needed updating, the max one should have to pay for the room would be 75.00. Paying 30.00 per night for a pet is ridiculous, and don't tell me it is for extra cleaning.
- wthornbu (2/5): Horrible hotel - I spent $125 for a one night stay. At best, this hotel should cost $50-60 per night.
It was dirty - clothes left on the bed and in the corner, trash on floor, bugs flying around, a dead bug under the pillows, stained sheets/duvet, stained carpet, dirty shower, and a broken iron. There were also multiple gaps in the door so light and bugs could easily enter.
Because I arrived after midnight and had to get up early to hit the road, I submitted this list to the front desk as I was checking out. They said they couldn't do anything because I hadn't complained 'last night'. Of course, I didn't check in until 12:30am... I needed sleep!
Knowing what I know now... I would have risked my life and driven further to stay at a nicer hotel.
- 722jeffn (4/5): Nasty and Overpriced - This hotel is filthy, nasty, and way overpriced. Hasn’t been updated in years. Carpet is moldy and smells. Nothing looks like it’s been cleaned recently. TV didn’t work in the first room they assigned me. Night clerk was very rude and condescending. Not a people person. Make sure to look for other options.
- Anonymous (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Convenience Had someone close to us smoking marijuana and when we brought it to the front desk attention they only apologized. Our room smelt awful for two days. We ask for part of rate back and never heard from anyone. They have smoking floors on bottom which should be on top. Heat/smoke rises. Would still like to have part of our rate back since I’m allergic to smoke.
- Anonymous (6/5): Decent stay - Beds could use upgrading. Breakfast was yogurt and waffles. It advertised Buffett breakfast.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Brescan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theresa (7/5): Good -
- Billy (8/5): Was quiet and comfortable - All ok
- Gordon (6/5): Pleasant - Sheets on the bed were clean. Beds were comfortable. Room floor was dirty and furniture in the room were covered with stains. Room smelled musty when we first went in.
- Tina (10/5): Great value - I liked how close it was to everything. We were in walking distance to restaurants. Very clean and comfortable.
- evonneh96 (2/5): Stay Away-A dump - We stopped on June 16, 2023 to see if they had a room. We should have known when we pulled into the parking lot-very unkept appearance, We got a room on the second floor (no elevators). Rooms could definitely use an upgrade. Got in bed-and you guessed it - BED Bugs. My husband went down to the office, waited until he could talk to who he assumed was the manager. He got very confrontational, would not refund us our money. Wanted my husband to go back up the the room with him & Show him the bed bugs-Really!!! Stay away from this place. It is a dump!!!
- Melody (8/5): Very good - We always stay here when we're visiting Hurricane Mills. The room was clean. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The pool was open. We love the peaceful location. The mattress was uncomfortable.
- G3807YLgeoffreyb (2/5): Don't stay there! - Found out when reviewing my credit card, we got charged $25 for sheets that the housekeeper claimed were missing. Total lie. Tried to dispute it, but the owner would never call back. These people are crooks.
- Dawn (8/5): Good for an overnight - Location was great Dated - but rather clean.
- Mccaslin (2/5): Very poor -
- Amy (4/5): Disappointed for $185 for one night stay - Way to expensive for outdated building and furniture
No operational pool
Vending machines 75% empty
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (4/5): Absolutely not worth the amount of money especially since we booked it because of advertised pool and it was not functio - location and pretty clean
aloud for a late check out pool not operational
no kids playground
outdated furniture and appearance
just a few items in vending machine
- Pruitt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nelda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Anita (2/5): Although the place appeared to be clean, I won’t be staying there again, just too old and gross look - The location was great, left too early so we couldn’t get breakfast , but the staff was wonderful, extremely friendly, helpful, and gave us good suggestions So upon arrival, there were no cars in the parking area, lots of weeds growing in the asphalt so we looped around twice thinking the hotel was out of business, the room was so old, carpets were horribly stained, the sitting chair, horribly stained, the place needs a major facelift, especially for the money
- Yvonne (3/5): Very dissatisfied. Way over priced. - Location and the breakfast. That’s pretty much it! The room smelled musty or like it used to be a smoking room. Beds were horrible/uncomfortable. The overall look of the rooms looked old/outdated/dingy, not fresh. Refrigerator didn’t work and the tub didn’t drain while you were showering. Price of the room was way too much/expensive, We stayed at another Quality Inn in another town the next day and it was like upper class compared to this location and substantially cheaper.
- Bruce (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (5/5): Passable -
- Shawn (8/5): Very good -
- Edwayne (8/5): Very good -
- Faith (8/5): Good affordable price for a nice room! Room was very clean and well put together. I enjoyed my stay! - Honestly everything! Bed was comfy, towels were soft, extra toiletry items were nice! I forgot some things. Shower was very clean and well taken care of. Can’t complain!
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melissa (2/5): nice people- disgusting rooms - sheets were clean it was so very, very dirty. carpets disgusting.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
