- Annette (2/5): - NOT RECOMMENDED I would not recommend staying at the Los Banos best Western hotel. Although the clerk was extremely nice, I paid for two rooms, one for my mom. Upon entering our rooms, we noticed a moldy smell within minutes. I contacted the front desk, and the clerk said when she called the manager, they suggested spraying the air conditioner with Lysol due to possible mold buildup from lack of use. I declined, and she offered to come up and do it herself. Upon inspecting our room, she acknowledged the strong mold/mildew smell and sprayed the air conditioner. However, the smell persisted upon our return. Given my mom's age, over 80, I prioritized her health and decided to leave. Unfortunately, the hotel refused a refund. It is alarming that a hotel would compromise their customers' health.

The only suggestion I have is that the staff needs to take pride in what they do. I feel customer service is very important to make the guest feel welcomed and feel cared for. They were a little cold. but other that, everything else was excellent. Thank you

But when we arrived for check-in, the receptionist said we couldn’t have the suite because we had our dog & he was not a service dog. So we had to be booked into 2 separate rooms. Why identify the property as pet-friendly when only some rooms are pet-friendly? This was not indicated under the suite notes when I booked.

- Timothy (8/5): Nice place for a quick stay - Nice place for a short stay. Only stayed there one night. Night person would not let my wife's cousin (both females) go to the room with her. Apparently you cannot have guests visit your room here ? Unknown why this was a problem. Otherwise no other issues. Clean place and a small but good hot breakfast in the morning.

- Anita (6/5): - The entrance smell was horrible. Smelled like a bad meal. We got into town and wanted to check in 40 minutes early and they said it would be a ln extra $25.00 onto our stay. I normally pick the best hotel in the city we’re staying at and I’ve never experienced a fee for early check in or a bad smell. A hotel normally has an inviting aroma. The check in staff was very kind. Check out not so much.

It took about 20 minutes for the Staff to unlock our door. Meaning they were physically trying to unlock the door for 20 minutes.

We picked this place out of concern to stay somewhere safe for our vehicles.,.the photos don’t show that the property adjoins a busy strip mall which lowers the safety factor. It is also misleading to show a patio for the property photo…where is that patio anyways? We certainly don’t have them in each room! Our window faces a block wall with a private residence directly on the other side…this place is tightly wedged in between urban America and is overrated.

Second set had more stains than the first set. Used the flat sheets as bedding. Towels were dinging/dirty looking. Ok for a one night stay.

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy the only things we had a problem with were the drawers that kept opening, and the fact that the towels the hotel provided were not adult size at all!
