• SMreviews00 (6/5): Very convenient, but not a comfortable stay - The A/C was not working properly, and was difficult to figure out (we usually have no problem at other motels/hotels). The rooms are very small and the angles/layout are awkward -- hard to reach the towels on the rack, over the sink next to the toilet, there was not much room to maneuver around the table and chairs, the closet was tight to squeeze our bags into. Also, it would be great to have a freezer in the room's refrigerator -- although the staff were very nice and let us put our ice packs in their freezer. The room also smelled strongly of what we can only assume is bug spray, based on the many other reviews. The bed was not comfortable at all. The best thing about this place was the location, which is very convenient to major roads and near a few local restaurants.

Wir durften uns das Zimmer aussuchen und bekamen so ein ruhiges Zimmer mit einer schönen Terasse zu einem nett angelegten Innenhof. Das Motel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Poolanlage war ungemütlich. Der Preis für eine Übernachtung war zu hoch.

Il s'agit d'un motel mis aux normes d'un Best Western. Chambre pas très grande, sombre avec une fenêtre obstruée. Petit-déjeuner de très mauvaise qualité, pas digne d'un Best Western. Il faut aller dans un autre bâtiment qui n'est pas à côté par une chaleur de 100 degrés le matin. Très cher pour ce que c'est, 180 dollars. Les quelques boutiques de la vieille ville se ferment à 17h.

It was very hot but we had to very nice meals, we got our car serviced at a first class auto repair place and we stayed in a very nice motel. It is hard to beat being able to park right in front of your door and unload and load your car. The front desk check in was extremely friendly. The room was clean. The AC worked well. The shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. We had a good night's rest.

The breakfast was good, Staff was very nice. We paid more money for this room thinking it would be very nice. Unfortunately, it was average at best. We booked this hotel specifically for the pool because we knew it would be hot in Wickenburg - only to find out the pool was closed. The steps going to our room were dirty, There was trash around the property. The property could use a good cleaning. At night, there were men hanging around the outside of the hotel rooms - maybe they were construction workers staying at the hotel - but it doesnt seem safe for a female to stay there.

• Alfonso (4/5): - The building I stayed in (230's) clearly had MAJOR foundational issues. The front door wouldn't stay closed and the restroom door didn't lock due to the doors not being able to stay within the frame. Their fix was to add door sweeps and extra long weather stripping to plug the gaps. Anyone who pushes hard enough can get into any room, there is not much keeping things closed. The price point ($150) is outrageous for this decaying building. The amenities were basic (fridge, microwave) and the room itself was clean, but nothing to warrant Holiday Inn pricing. Also they have Direct TV cable box, but the remote they provide is not compatible with it so you have to manually toggle channels on the box itself. The hotel caters to many railroad workers and they are outside on their phones at all hours of the night talking loudly on speaker. The town of Wickenburg itself shuts down at 8-9pm so don't expect any type of provisions if you're passing through. If you are a traveler, just keep driving to Phoenix and find something more accommodating to traveling guests; this hotel caters to workers who practically live there, not you.

My disabled mom was traveling with me, and we had a disabled access room. • FlyingTs (8/5): Rooms leave something to be desired - We've stayed at lots of Best Westerns over the years and have relied on them for their consistency. But, of late we have been somewhat disappointed. This Best Western is older and the room, while set back from the road as requested, was particularly small. Additionally, they use an automated coffee machine in the breakfast room that I questioned whether it would make good coffee or not. Never found out as it was broken and they didn't have a backup method to make coffee.
