- Q6112HKlisad (10/5): Great hotel - Location is not far from downtown Rome. This hotel is outside room and rooms are kept well. This is a pet friendly establishment. I had a pet and there was no fee for it. They also said I could pay a fee for another. Front desk staff was very polite and very helpful. I paid 70 plus tax and they have a 50 deposit they returned to me upon checkout. Very quiet, sits in quieter location and food was as close as 1/4 mile to 2 miles. Definitely stay again

- JOHN (2/5): - My stay at the Red Roof Inn on Saturday, October 4, 2025 was an absolute DISASTER! The room smelled like Pine Sol/disinfectant and I noticed what looked to be blood stains on one of the towels. There were people running around & talking outside my room until 11:00 PM.....two men to the right of my room were cooking hot dogs & hamburgers on a small grill (pulled from their truck) 50 feet from my door.....they talked loudly until 11:00 PM. As I discovered the next morning, MY SHOWER DID NOT WORK AND NEITHER DID THE SOAP DISPENSER IN THE SHOWER. So at $100 per night, I experienced NO SHOWER & NO SOAP. When I complained front desk clerk (Amy) upon checking out, she just stared at me offering no explanation and no apology. For this type of treatment, I should have been offered a complete refund of my money. I have two words for the management of this smelly, God forsaken hotel: NEVER AGAIN!!!
- Ariese (1/5): Horrible . 4 years staying there last two beers bad. Will not stay again - We were able to check in before our reservation as we got into town 12 hours earlier . We didn't have to change rooms. Everything.
We booked a downstairs room due to my travel partner having heart issues we had our service animal and a pet due to having a pet we were told we could only have upstairs rooms the toilet didn't flush the sheets were filthy there were boogers smeared on the wall there was food smeared on the wall they came the next morning to fix the toilet and it still didn't work didn't offer another room until we decided to leave early and then the lady at the counter said she was out aware of this although two people and the maintenance person was aware of it because they came to fix the issue after they worked on the toilet housekeeping came and clean the room and the floors were filthy I literally walked on them for 3 hours went to get in the bed and my son said you Mom and I said what my feet were black we used to stay in this hotel this is our fourth year last year it was not very good this year was even worse I'm not sure what has happened in the last 2 years but we will not be staying there again
- Takeisha And Janes (1/5): I use to love staying there it was close to my family but now I will not be going back. - The location and front desk clerk was nice We had bugs in our room and the need to work on some older neutralizer spray for their smoking rooms. The smell was bad
- keiko (6/5): - Breakfast was continental
- vpM9789ZQ (10/5): The stay was great! - Stayed at Red Roof Inn & Suites Rome for a quick business trip—really solid experience. Room was clean and quiet, Wi-Fi worked great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Super convenient location, and the breakfast was surprisingly good. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): High prices for little comfort - I checked in on the 4th of August so I was just extending my stay. The refrigerator was dirty, the towels they provide are very thin and stained. The room itself the bed linen has holes in it and stained. The staff is nice in the office. The door to the room has a lot of space for bugs and rodents to come in. I’m in a smoking room and it freaked of smoke and I feel like they could be more detailed in their cleaning efforts to make the room fresh when they clean them.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Candace (4/5): - I could park I. Front of our room The doors have been locked open and had huge gaps. The bedding had stains all over. You get 2 towels. Roaches live behind the hair dryer plug
- Brittany (5/5): Kind of disappointed - The staff was really sweet The pool was closed and that’s the main reason we went here.
- griffithl2025 (8/5): Good experience - Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. No soap for the shower but there was a shampoo/conditioner dispenser in shower and hand soap dispenser at sink
- Verified traveler (4/5): Yuck. - The room smelled like weed. The breakfast consisted of a box of white bread and two sugared cereals, which I could barely see through the cloud of incense burning in the lobby during breakfast.
- Denise (8/5): The hotel was in a good location and staff was great. -
- Nozipho (7/5): Good -
- Shelita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennie Marie (10/5): - It was clean and quiet
- Marian (2/5): - I stayed there because it was the only place available close to Rome, GA so I could attend my granddaughter's graduation from college. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathtub was filthy and moldy, instead of box springs on the bed, there was a wire cage under the mattress. There were no tissues or handsoap. The continental breakfast was a joke. The orange juice coming out of the dispenser looked like orange sludge and I wouldn't drink it on a bet. Never again.
- Partain (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (1/5): I can't speak for any other room but this one was terrible. I don't recommend staying here - Location was nice The room smelled like an ashtray. I had to clean the air conditioning filters, they were completely clogged. Found what looked to be pubic hairs in a towel and a rag and cigarette burns on the sheets. I asked for a different room but claimed they were all booked up and no refund available. They could do a better job cleaning the rooms.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony lamar (2/5): - bring some old socks for the floors or else your feet will be blacker than the night sky
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was a Red Roof inn so didn’t expect much more. It was the only hotel with availability. The room was clean. Sort of. Smelled horrible. Air freshener trying to mask mold? Maybe smoking even though it was non-smoking?
- Norman (3/5): Glad to check out - There was no breakfast Dirty bathroom, pillows. Room smells stuffy
- Verified traveler (4/5): Never again… - The floor needed to be swept and mopped. The wash cloths had stains on them and were really small. Tub and shower had black mold in it. Sheets had blood spots on them. Vent in bathroom was dirty. Will not be back.
- Shakenda (3/5): Poor -
- Crystal (7/5): Good -
- Sharone (6/5): - on the 1st floor per my request but didn't realize the noise factor above me, also the room door was not hung correct because there was a big gap going downward insects got thru, felt unsafe like if you blew hard the door would cave in travel size tissue.
- Brandi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): We needed a place to stay we came from Alabama due to tornadoes and bad weather we definitely would - We've been to several places that accept pets. Yours by far was the cleanest and the rooms were nice. We travel to Gatlinburg and their pet rooms always have a odor your room did not I always want the cleanest of rooms and we were happy staying at your hotel.
- Dorinda (10/5): - My room was Immaculately clean; Staff was kind an professional. Good for the price.
- Janice (7/5): Good -
- Charles (8/5): - Was clean and quiet
- 104kathyo (10/5): Pleasant stay - Nice clean rooms! The desk lady worked with us very well for the accommodations we needed, due to my mother being 88 and on oxygen. Made accommodation for my sister’s dog as well. Very nice and accommodating lady! Peaceful band everything as it should be. We will be back, if needed.
- Ciana (8/5): Very good -
- Caleshia (5/5): Passable - Price was fair; close to dining, ball fields, etc. There was a smell in the room like it had been changed from a smoking room to a non-smoking room. Bought air freshners and turned on the air to let it air out but when I returned it was the same smell.
- Lulu (10/5): Very nice - It was cleaner than what I expected The shower head needs changing but other than that it’s not that bad
- Shelia (10/5): - Everyone was so nice and helpful
- Joshua (10/5): - Nice staff
- Regina (1/5): Bad -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (3/5): Poor - Roaches!!!!!!!!!!!, broken door/frame, cheap paint, but the bugs were the absolutely the worst
- Lee (10/5): - .
- Ang (4/5): Disappointing - Had roaches
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel needs updates. The beds are very very uncomfortable my back was killing me the next day so was my partners.
- Cynthia (6/5): - First thing walking in our room that evening there was a roach on the bedroom floor more roaches were found in the bathroom. It didn't smell clean it smelled weird, had to wipe up water off of the floor as we had spilled a water bottle used a towel to wipe it up and the towel was black. The floor obviously is disgusting the color of the tile hides the dirt very well. The commode was dirty shower had mold. The coffee pot would not work no matter what plug you plug it into. Went and got another one and it did very same thing. Was not a good experience staff was really terrific very sweet people. But when you park in the parking lot to get out and get in your room and someone is sitting in an office chair they rolled out of their room and out into the parking lot to entertain themselves was a little much. Just kind of creepy people hanging around there.
- Herbert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reval (2/5): Not good - The TV didn’t work needed resetting no one would help us. Did not give enough towels and hair dryer was tore up. They never came and fixed it. Never stay there again.
- Christian (3/5): Poor -
- Karey (2/5): Nasty, didn’t feel safe. - We didn’t feel secure there. The bathtub was so dirty we couldn’t use it. We got there late. Lots of people walking around outside. One person trying to bum cigarettes. Would never stay there again.
- Glenda (4/5): Decent budget stay while in Rome, Georgia - It was close to Rome, Georgia.
There was plenty of parking.
There was a good working fridge in the room.
Despite the different bed frame, I slept rather well on the mattress.
The room was exceptionally quiet with the random street noise once in a while.
I felt safe at this property. The pillows are pitifully flat. I was thankful to have my travel inflatable pillow with me.
The towels were worn and thin. There were only 2 bath towels per room. I assume it is a money saving feature but there isn’t Kleenex in the room, just a small pocket pack of tissues.
There aren’t any box springs on the beds, just a mattress on a metal frame. You had to be careful not to kick it when getting close or you made a gonging sound.
- Daniell (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (10/5): - We have stayed here annually for 3 years. Staff and room have always been top notch.
- Townsend (7/5): Comfortable room. Need to let you know procedures before you get there - The room was great, clean and comfortable. Staff was great I was charged a deposit, I've never experienced this before. My room was checked before I left, that was a new one too. I was told I wouldn't be refunded my money for four to five days. I just think customers should be informed of this prior to check in. I couldn't have a downstairs room because of my dog, not informed about that either
- Kimberly (8/5): - Broken lamps, all over the room, half the plugs didnt work, peeling leather on chairs, very cheap soap, old leaky shower head, coffee stained envelope for housekeepings tip loud rowdy groups that would randomly bang or knock on my door. But staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. And the apps just the topping since I can't even take pics to show.
- Thomas (2/5): Very poor - Nothing..to start it was that typical horrible smell of whatever us used to cook with pr air freshner...an after paying a ridiculous 99.30 for a room I was ask to pay a 50.00 deposit for wash clothes, towels or whatever else..I didn't have a pet so the deposit was silly..I will NEVER stay there again..I will diligently search out an American owned motel..or I'll sleep in my vehicle..I was simply not satisfied.. I was ask specifically for special request I ask for a room as far as possible away from other guest because I'm a light sleeper..an of course I was put right between to rooms that had occupants that were rather loud...I ended up stay about 3 hrs an left ended up sleeping in my vehicle. All they care bout is my money nothing else matters...
- Karter (1/5): Rude and deceitful - Clean Staff
- Claie (10/5): Exceptional -
- DonnaMarie (4/5): - They never read instructions about needing ground floor when you book so had to pay extra for what they call a suite. Room smelled terrible, no tissues, nor soap, cream etc.
- Richard (7/5): Good - Location
- Takeisha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (1/5): Bad - It was the worse, roaches as soon as u walk in the door, door didn't shut, beds were filthy It was the worse, roaches as soon as u walk in the door, door didn't shut, beds were filthy
- Chrissy (6/5): - The hotel is rundown. Our rooms paint was dirty. Our bathroom door would not close. It needs an overall touch up to make it look clean.
- Payne (5/5): Passable -
- Jason (4/5): Get what you pay for - King sized bed one chair one nightstand lots of gnats. Toilet was loose had tan build up where it was caulked. Mildew build up under edge of shower walls. Water did not flow down the sides of the toilet so paper and vomit was stuck there all weekend (yeah, i had a bit much at rock the country). Had to jimmy the door to get the lock to latch. Why did the white towels have stains!? Could have fit a love seat or a couch in that room but only had a single chair so I stood while we ate.
- Allison (2/5): - Do not stay here!! The pictures misrepresent the property. I actually asked the desk clerk if it was safe. I also was supposed to get a non smoking room and when I told her I couldn’t sleep in it because I have asthma and it smelled of smoke her response was “they smoke in them sometime”. Crack heads on the steps. The smoke alarm kept beeping and the covers had dirt on them. The walls also had dead bugs on them. It was a nightmare. We left and went somewhere else and they still charged me a night. I have sent in a claim to try and get my money back. This was awful!!!!
- Tanja (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and roomy
- Kenneth T. (10/5): - Very clean. Nothing fancy but just what we needed. Friendlt courteous staff
- Michael (3/5): There are better options in the area - It was a convenient location, in the bed was actually very comfortable The staff was friendly, but not very skilled at their jobs. Took 20 minutes for check-in because the lady at the desk was new and had no training. Check out took 10 minutes, because a different Lady on the desk did not know how to operate the computer. In both cases, I was the only customer at the desk.
The room was Very unappealing. One lamp in the room was not operable, base of the floor lamp looked like it had rusted out, and the exhaust vent in the bathroom actually fell off while we were there. The table in the room was all chewed up because they allow pets.
Seems apparent that none of the money that is coming in is used on maintenance or updating. Would be hard to look someone in the eye and recommend that they stay there.
- Jesus (10/5): - The hotel was exactly what I was expecting. However, the staff was better than expected. They were all friendly, courteous and professional. They made me feel welcome. Thank you.
- Laura (10/5): Excellent location - The hotel was clean. The staff were pleasant. The location was exactly the distance from my sister's house that we wanted.
Waffle House was nearby and we wanted a bigger breakfast so that was great. Walmart right up the street.
- Jamie (2/5): Red roof in - It was no good. Had a strong pesticide smell in the rooms. The bed sheets dirty. They switched me to another room and tub was dirty. The smell gave me a bad head ache . Was not pleased at all.
- Balraj (9/5): Superb -
- Payne (4/5): Bed was comfortable and it would have been great except for the smell - Location The room stunk!
It had a chemical smell so bad that I had to throw away my cpap tubing and mask because the smell would not come out
- Rittenhouse (7/5): Good -
- Disheka (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (5/5): It was clean but that’s all I want to say - It’s was ok Nothing really I didn’t like climbing stairs
- Robyn (8/5): - Was good except for the herd of elephants in the room above us. Older establishment that has been refurbished nicely....
- Rick (4/5): Disappointing -
- Will (10/5): Overall, pretty good. Your typical hotel experience - Staff was nice, room was clean. Facility felt safe. I didn’t have any problems during the trip.
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
