T3528YCgregs (6/5): Not what I was expecting. - Stayed in room 115. Filthy stained carpet. Hallway outside had debris and trash in several areas. Room was "clean". Mostly. Much maintenance is needed. See photos. Blackout shade had holes in it. Whenever I turned over in bed? Automatic light came on. Staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. Time to do lots of maintenance.

But before arrival I put 4 of us would be staying there only had 2 big towels . Also my kids complained as the room smelling like urine . Didn’t want to complain due to not wanting to be an inconvenience.

The service at the reception on the day of check-in was poor; I felt awkward asking for water, as there was no complimentary option available and I was directed to a vending machine instead. My son also forgot his sleeping blanket, and despite calling twice to retrieve it, I have not received a callback. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The suite was nice, but unfortunately, the pool and Jacuzzi were a major letdown. The pool was uncomfortably cold, and the Jacuzzi was lukewarm with jets that barely had any pressure. The breakfast was standard fare for this type of hotel. It would be good if the bacon were not overcooked.

Jennifer R. (4/5): Did not meet expectations - I actually did not stay here as I checked out 15 minutes after checking in. While the hotel is only a few years old, and the pictures online looked great, and the lobby was clean and spacious, the stairs and hallway carpets were filthy and stained. The hallway had a stale cooking smell (like when people actually live in a building). It made me wonder if part of the hotel was being used to house the homeless. If not, then housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Security was also an issue. The windows in many of the rooms do not lock as the frames are not straight so the windows do not close all the way. I tried 2 different rooms and this was the case. The front desk clerk confirmed that they could not guarantee locking windows. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe staying at this hotel (the location is off a busy highway with lots of people coming and going). On a positive note, the front desk person was helpful and courteous and seemed to understand when I told them I wasn't going to stay. Overall, I was surprised at the condition of this hotel. Had the room been a cheaper chain I may not have been surprised, but BW is a national chain with a good repution for clean and safe lodgings. The price point was definitely too high for the filthy and unsecure conditions. It would be great if the hotel owner would put a little effort into refurbishment and fixing the window situation. Guests with mobility issues should be aware that this hotel does not have an elevator.

Love the indoor pool and their friendly staff is always great. They always greet me with a smile and friendly attitude. Been staying there for years and will continue to stay there.

Breakfast buffet to my surprise was very decent and the kids were very happy with all the assortment of options. The plus for me was the Charging Station in the parking lot. Leave very early in the am, and miss most of the heavy traffic. Looks like they have a good breakfast, but as we leave early, can’t give review in that. Good array of restaurants and a great place to stay when going to the outlets. Highly recommend.

Brent (2/5): - We got the king suite, we were not aware that the suite was on the second floor and there is no elevator. This property is not easily accessible for disabled people. The front desk clerk, was phenomenal and tried to help to the best of her ability, however the cleaning crew is rude, lazy and hostile, not only to the clerk but to the guests. We paid nearly 200.00 for one night, which I had trouble getting to my room because no one told us there was no elevator, or a suite on the first floor. The toilet was running constantly, the hair dryer didn't work, the room needed a good vacuuming. The furniture is uncomfortable the television is tiny. The only reason I didn't give it a one star review is because the front desk clerk was phenomenal. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a room, drive the extra 30-45 minutes and stay in Bakersfield. Absolutely terrible. The entire cleaning crew needs to fired. The rates need to be lowered by at least a hundred dollars and the young lady working at the front desk needs a raise for dealing with the cleaning crew and the guests. Save yourself the irritation and stay in Bakersfield.

guyadams0523 (8/5): Good, simple hotel for a over night stay - It was a standard Best Western. The room was clean and in nice shape. They did have full size pillows on the bed which was nice. Some of the other BW I’ve stayed at had the small pillows. Also they had a good breakfast offering. Also they had many different restaurants within a 1/2 mile radius.
Mark (6/5): I'll pass during my next visit - I stayed at the BW Liberty Inn because when I have stayed at the Hampton Inn the pool is not heated to a comfortable temperature....well neither is the BW so it must be something about the area. The BW did have a hot tub, which was very enjoyable! Other than that the common areas were OK, but the carpeting throughout was filthy. I've stayed at BWs for years and this one definitely needs some TLC.

The second room had stripping issues in the windows so the room was freezing and I was told by front desk they can’t increase the heater above 72. The toiletries in the shower were empty, we requested a late check out and they locked out our keys earlier and the pool was not able to be used. I’ve never stayed at a best western in such poor condition to be honest. The breakfast was good but the housekeepers need to clean better and there truly needs to be an overhaul to rooms.

It isn't fancy in any way but to me it's a quiet little gem in a busy area and the staff are always helpful and friendly. A few thoughts at random- there is a good complementary hot breakfast; the check-in and checkout times are very convenient for the traveler; they have the most elegant indoor pool that I've seen in any hotel; it's a great stopover before or after fighting the LA freeways (I do a Sacramento-San Diego route); even though there's no elevator (handicapped rooms are downstairs) I don't mind carrying my luggage because I like the place so much. Five stars well deserved.

Restaurant was convenient being in front of hotel. Could have clearer signs for spotting the hotel. I didn't have any problems during my stay outside of the oder.
Patty (8/5): - We enjoyed the pool. The bathroom tub was slippery, I needed to put a towel on the floor of the tub for showering. The breakfast was very nice.
Rita (10/5): Great stop - Bright and clean hotel with pool and hot tub. Great stop on a road trip. Indoor pool was refreshing break. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was good--good start to the day--make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt. Plenty filling!
Vacation04999098801 (10/5): Best Wester at El Tejon, CA - We stayed in a junior suite and how spacious! The satellite for the TV wasn't available and the water was not cool. In July I sure love cold water. Staff was more than wonderful, accommodating and with a smile on their faces. I am a Best Western fan anyway.

0ozielp (6/5): Checking in could be better if you had friendly staff Checking in guest. - Everything was great checking in wasn't what I was expecting they don't greet you or recognize your member status and they don't offer you water unless you ask for it. Checking in just felt like they wanted to get it done fast and get rid of you. Housekeeping is excellent. They cleaned and made everything very tidy and well placed. Housekeeping smiled and would say good Morning and if everything was OK in the room.
redstingray (4/5): Nice staff, but bad hygiene and functionality. - We've stayed many times at this Best Western, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful nearly every time. Likewise everything worked in the room as expected. But this time there were mold spots at the ceiling on two walls of the bath/toilet room, and likewise the vent in that room was visibly dirty. A bit of an ick factor, but for someone who may have a sensitivity to mold, it could have been bad.

Y6605DErenel (8/5): Mini Getaway - Friendly staff. The room was clean and nice room size. Very quiet at night. Everything was explained at check in. Walking distance to restaurants. Parking area was well lit and appeared safe when we arrived late in the evening. Did I mention it has an inside pool
Gridgirl65 (10/5): Road trip to Alabama - Enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We were treated very well and we asked for rooms on the first floor which was fulfilled without any issues or questions. The hotel was clean and in a great location. Will look into this hotel if I travel this direction soon.
Wander07378397274 (10/5): Great Value - Stay was great! Everything from the room to the pool was clean. Customer service was amazing. Breakfast was good. Hotel is conveniently located near everything. The room was a little dated, but it was clean and had all the essentials and more. Overall value and quality was better than the higher end hotels.
drdavidm2024 (10/5): Nice place to rest - This place has a nice indoor pool and hot tub, plenty of truck parking . Nice breakfast which starts at 5:00am. Nice people and kept up and clean. Ez on off freeway. A must stay place to stay with your family or alone. Not crazy outrageous price per room, very reasonable.

Kimberly (4/5): Not the best - The hotel was grimy. Our room was right at the top of the stairs. At 2 am I was awoken by people talking, probably on their way out. There was a large dip in the floor right outside of our door that was a huge tripping hazard. The whole place was uninviting.
