- Holiday (9/5): A full review. - The staff was super friendly!, 🙂
She even helped me enroll in a rewards program!
The room was super clean! (Thank God)!
They said the breakfast smelled amazing!
Overall we enjoyed our stay! I'll be honest,we got the room with two double beds and omg they were so uncomfortable but they were clean and nice!
The water pressure in the shower wasn't the greatest, but we managed!
When asking for more towels for our second night, it was like I wasn't supposed too. .
And the pool was cold
But this was a review of all the nitty gritty. I mean, definitely for the location it's a good deal. There's one about a mile down the road and it's HORRIBLE. I wouldn't take my dog there 🤣 fr

- Tracie (10/5): Great other than the pool - Love the location was clean comfortable and staff was very nice. And price is great. Couldn't wait to go swimming and the water was too cold to get in. 😞
- crystal (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - The staff was very friendly. Especially the lady that checked us in.
- Heather (10/5): - Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and staff friendly Softer towels
- Terry (5/5): Very disappointed - Breakfast was very minimal. Price of 134.00 for a very cheap and old hotel was too much as it felt much more like a room that should have costs no more than 89.00.
- Andrew (8/5): - Location location Staff not nearly as friendly this time around.
- Ryan (8/5): -
- Bobby (8/5): - The staff was really nice.
- Jean (6/5): -
- Jessica (7/5): Was 7/10 clean. Hotel smelled of mold/mildew - Off Rt 119. Close to Walmart & many restaurants Staff was ok. Not real helpful or available
- Christa (6/5): - Not friendly staff
- Lynn (6/5): - Clean room, affordable, had a musty smell in the lobby
- Tina (8/5): - Very convenient to Chief Logan State Park. Older but well maintained. Comfortable beds and very quiet rooms.

- Marilyn (10/5): - Our room was very clean and on the back of the hotel so it was quiet, parking was great and it was a friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Swimming pool
- Alex (6/5): Had issues - It took 15 minutes to check in even though we had already reserved online. We get to the room and there are no towels or wash clothes in the room. I go to the front desk and ask for three towels and two wash clothes. My wife uses an extra towel for her hair. The guy at the desk told me there was a limit of two towels per room and refused to give me an extra one. I have never heard that in my life. Is there a shortage in the country of hotel towels? Then I went to get ice for the evening and of course the ice machine on our floor was broken. I finally found one working on another floor. The room was clean. No issues there. The next morning at 8:30 someone knocks on the door. I am in the bathroom getting dressed. After 10 seconds the door opens and the cleaning lady comes in the room. She said I was told it was empty. Once we get dressed I take my dog out for a walk and the cleaning lady asked me if I was ready to check out. I guess she wanted us gone so she could clean it early. The building is run down and needs attention. It served the purpose for one night but we would not stay there again.

- wesleyv953 (10/5): Gem in between Logan and Madison! - I stayed this hotel for one night while I was in the area for an event in nearby Madison. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel as it exceeded expectations. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was excellent. The breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Definitely would stay again!

Best part of the room was the SHOWER!!!

- Allison (7/5): - Convent to everything. I didn't have a shower curtain in the bathroom. Went and asked for one. And the man at the desk handed me one to me to put on myself. And stated it happens more often then not.
- Nickellis (2/5): Worst service - The internet was horrible, the room was nice and clean. The only issue I had was that when we got there at 5:30pm they only had one room ready. Had to wait 3.5 hours for them to get a room ready while the manager sat in a chair. Will never stay here again.
- Neil (8/5): Hotel could use some updating, but overall a decent place to stay. - Pool not busy and staff was very accommodating. Some of the building was in need of updating.
- Duane (10/5): - The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was clean relaxing. Breakfast was good, well stocked and good variety. It was an enjoyable stay and would stay there again!
- Brandon (6/5): - Hotel was very nice and so was the room but unfornately the 3rd floor was unbearably hot ac could not keep up with cooling our room and it was aweful.
- Wanda (8/5): -
- Carol (9/5): -
- Carol (9/5): -
- Norman (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (2/5): - The pictures of the property showed a clear stream beside it; however, when we got there, it was muddy water. We went to use the exercise room and the treadmill was broken. The maintenance guy got it turned on, but it stopped me after running for 2 minutes. We restarted it and it did the same, stoped me after 2 minutes.
We went to the pool. The water was a slimy film on your skin unsafe to swim in. Hotel staff did not have it closed.
- Charles (9/5): We will be back next year again for reunion - Staff was wonderful went out of their way to make it a great trip. Loved how there was souvenirs clothing for sale! Sunday eggs too many peppers in premade omelets as my little one can’t do peppers and personally we thought too many but the sausage gravy and biscuits were the bomb. Pool nice but could have been little cleaner water floaters but staff was great to allow grandkid play in it before left when she got there and loved! Could smell dog in elevator but was clean just a smell hard to get rid of wet dog and the rain we had
- TN_challygirl (8/5): Clean hotel close to all the basics - Breakfast had plenty of choices to fit every type of diet. Hot food was fresh. Hotel was clean and had no odors. Bathroom facilities worked correctly.(Wish the shower had more pressure) But we were on the 3rd floor.
- Roshaunda (8/5): - Overall it was a fine visit. It rained pretty hard the day we stayed and the entrance seemed to have flooded. Came in to standing water in the doorway and puddles inside the lobby. Card reader on the room door barely worked. Hot food at breakfast did not seem like it was cooked and hat day. It was very clean, the room itself was nice, and the bed was comfortable. Just small issues, really. Also, the staff was wonderful.
- Brandi (6/5): - The property is usually clean and friendly. This time we were assigned a room that had not been cleaned ahead, there was no breakfast prepared to manage the number of overall guests, staff were short and rather rude when you asked about breakfast or pool towels.
- Robert (4/5): Disappointing - Not much Breakfast was almost non-existant
- Mark (10/5): - Everyone was very friendly, the breakfast food was very good.
- Johnny (10/5): - Very nice place
- Shayleigh (2/5): - Overall , it was always something from power, pool, or just staff in general
- Mark (10/5): Perfect place - I've stayed at this property several times and will always return when I'm
- Daniel (8/5): - No thanks
- Gordon (9/5): Superb -
- Adrian (6/5): - The room smell like humidity
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Very pleasant staff Can not think of anything
- Wesley (6/5): - I purposely stayed here because of the exercise room. The equipment was not only rusted and terrible, the treadmill didn’t even work and was missing parts. The room wasn’t bad and the rate was very reasonable but if you want to work out do NOT stay here.
- Nita (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (10/5): Excellent place to stay! - Front desk people were awesome to make sure we were comfortable in our room. Our room was updated. It was very clean & comfortable.
- Kelley (3/5): Bad hotel - The pool The beds were horrible
- Beverly (10/5): - Great check in
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Exploration769825 (2/5): Pass this one by - I arrived with a reservation and with on-line pre-registration completed. I waited 20 minutes while one desk agent tried to figure out how to accept a guest without a reservation paying cash. The other desk agent was goofing off behind the desk, not helping the growing line of patrons waiting to check in. When it was finally my turn, the desk agent asked for the EXACT SAME Information i had already provided for pre-registration online. What a waste of time. Then I get the key and go to the room. I open the door to discover that the heat is blasting, the room was 110 degrees, and the beds are disassembled with nasty mattresses propped up vertically. I immediately returned to the desk but had to WAIT IN LINE AGAIN.
I picked up the manager's business card in the lobby. But it was not the mgr that answered. It was the other desk agent that was goofing off. The email address on my receipt was not a valid email.
The worker goofing off told the other one that “we had a car” and we could leave and go somewhere else and she should not sweat her incompetence or lack of hospitality.
- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely staff and comfortable - Very clean and comfortable and nice hot breakfast
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Douglas (10/5): - Quick stay in Chapmanville for a wrestling tourney. My son and I were welcomed promptly by a kind staff member. Our room was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and convenient.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Housekeeping coming in room while staying there
- Buddyjoe (8/5): Very good - Very quiet, pool was fun. The beds are something to get used to kinda to soft.
- recah2025 (4/5): Save ur money - Been here three weeks in row and every time rooms and hallways smell like pot, dont get me wrong the maids work hard and rooms are clean but this is a high traffic hotel with workers and they do what they want, having work book me a another hotel in the area. i wouldnt pay price they charge .
- Amanda (6/5): - The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The location was terrible though. I was staying by myself for work, and honestly quite scared to be there. The key card entry was broke off the side door and the door was kept open with the rug. Overall, I would not stay here again.
- Tia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (6/5): Not a great stay - It wasnt great, we booked a 2 night stay. Got to the room, literally no toilet paper, 1 towel for 2 of us for 2 days. My wife had a shower and discovered there was no hair dryer, i went to reception yet again and the wo.an actually seemed cross that i was asking for a hair dryer. She must of been! 30 mins later, still no dryer, back to reception and the young man down there sorted us oneout. Later when we went to sleep, there was a hole in the bed sheet, housekeeping must have surely seen this when they made the bed.
- Meggan (9/5): Superb -
- Lester (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg G (10/5): - The young lady at the front desk was polite, helpful and efficient. She was working at the front desk checking people in, doing laundry in the back room, making coffee and trying to fix the online reservation system which was incorrectly showing no available rooms. I didn’t see or hear any other employees so I assume she was doing everything herself.
She was doing a great job and handled everything smoothly.
I have stayed at this Best Western 12 times during the past 5 years. The front/main parking lot has always been this hotel’s biggest problem. The surface is dirt with some gravel and there’s some junk (empty wire spools, rusted poles, concrete blocks) taking up valuable parking space. And this evening when I checked in there was a large trailer/camper parked in the front lot. It was not attached to a tow vehicle and there was a 100’ extension cord running from the camper across the parking lot and plugged into a receptacle near the front door. There were 6 to 8 large trucks parked around the camper and maybe 8 to 10 guys inside the camper. Are they living there?
I should have asked the young lady at the front desk about this . . .
- D8590CDdougr (10/5): A very nice and quiet place to stay - Very clean room, nice rooms and very nice reception . Breakfast are served good food and was very well prepared. Parking was decent with easy access to each entrance. Has an indoor pool that looked very clean. Would definitely recommend staying here
- Andrew (6/5): - Nice location and Dunkin Donuts is real close. The pool was not operable while we were there.
- Jason (10/5): The day was good. Staff was great. Continental was good but a little overpriced per night. - Great location convenient The price was a little expensive
- Denise (2/5): - I went to the hotel amd they told me they didnt have any rooms even though i had made a reservation. I had to stay at a different hotel in the area. Thank God they had a room or i would have not had a place to stay. Very unprofessional
- Camper51011224832 (2/5): AVOID THIS PLACE. GO ELSEWHERE!!! - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Had zero water the first night. A weird stench in the room that made us sick. They charged $200 extra because we got sick and puked in the room due to the smell. I've been fighting the charges for six days and still no refund. The manager Carolyn Carter is very rude and sent a rude email in response to not giving a refund. They need a new manager asap.
- Willi (10/5): Exceptional - Pillows they were aweful
- Melissa (4/5): - Came from out of state for a funeral and had no water until just before check out. The pool was closed due to water isssue. No way to shower before the funeral. It’s my understanding it was due to flooding. I just wish there would have been some communication so we could have found an alternative. No one called and made us aware and no one even said anything at check in.
- Terri (10/5): Excellent place to stay - The facility was nice and clean everyone was helpful and friendly. We would definitely return to this location in the near future.
- Brandon (4/5): Amenities removed but still paid full price - Hotel was acceptable, but due to flooding the entire town had its water shut off. Was not mentioned except for a note on the counter but not dated.get into the room to realize we had no shower, no toilet or a way to brush our teeth except a bottle of water. While not the hotels sole fault I feel I shouldn’t have had to pay full price for no amenities other than a bed.
- Ladonna (1/5): This hotel is NOT suitable for special needs children! - It was clean The staff was very unprofessional in dealing with the fact we were staying in the room with my 5yr old autistic grandson. We left the facility at 1am and went back home to no heat or power because of the way they acted about my grandson
