- zgrnl (10/5): Good location, nice prices, free breakfast - It was my first trip to Istanbul and it s the first hostel that i stayed in istanbul. They've really social enviroment in hostel. Another thing they ve really good and sensitive staff .they can help you whatever you need, literally. hostel is really safe and clean.Also they provide free breakfast enough to give yourself a morning joy.You can bring your own drinks and cook in the kitchen. I really enjoyed my stay on eastwest hostel. I can suggest for everyone to take a safe and cheap trip
- Xiao (10/5): Lucky to have booked this one! - For a hostel, if the boss is perfect, the hostel is perfect as well. At first, I had made a mistake to have booked the female dorm (I am a man)... When I arrived at the hostel, the boss found out the mistake and he told me that the shared dorms were full, but he could settle me in a double room with no extra charge! I was not expecting such a favor, and he made me very comfortable there. The hostel has a nice basement, which I like very much. All in all, will be there again if I go to Istanbul~

The hostel didnt bother to let us know that someone would be coming in at 3am. We also had trouble sleeping with our neighbouring room talking loudly late into the night, there is little noise insulation and a large gap under the doors we could hear all of their conversation through the night
- saleem (8/5): cuzy hotel near Istiklal street - I spent 6 days in Istanbul in this hotel. It was a nice experience especially with friendly other guests and friendly staff.
- BorealMind (4/5): A small, mismanaged and disorganized hostel - First of all the hostel is very small and the rooms do not look at all like on the pictures which is a deception from the start. Most of rooms are very small and placed on high storeys that you have to climb and carry your luggage through steep narrow stairs (no one will help you with), there is no lift and it's poorly lit. Second, there was no hot water in the room where they put me in on the 4th floor and the heating was very weak. It was March and it was very cold. Later they changed me the room. Third - the hostel is rather dirty (especially the higher rooms), walls are stained and there is only one woman doing the cleaning for the hostel with 30-40 people. She is very kind but she is one and simply overwhelmed. Rooms are not cleaned daily, even when they are no broom passes under the beds. The breakfast is minimal (a cat's meal quantity) but ok. As the stay was going things were only getting worse. The staff seemed to be there not to solve problems but to actually create them, their mood being a strange mix of defiance towards the guests and fear of the boss. This hostel clearly lacks all the essential elements required for a pleasant and seamless stay since we've experienced issues with pretty much everything that could go wrong (and it is only a hostel!). 15 TL for laundry. High prices and not recommended.
