- Maria Paula (7/5): - Buen desayuno. Habitaciones limpias.

- afrin (10/5): Beautifully decorated front lawn added charm and relaxation to our experience. - this homestay in Nepal was truly a wonderful experience. The environment was warm, peaceful, and incredibly friendly, making us feel at home. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well maintained. One of the highlights of the property was the front lawn, which was wonderfully decorated. The greenery, flowers, and cozy sitting arrangements created a relaxing atmosphere — perfect for enjoying morning tea, evening conversations, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. It added a special charm to the entire stay. There nothing not to like about

De tuin is super gezellig met verschillende zitmogelijkheden en het gratis ontbijt is super fijn.
Prijs-kwaliteit is top.
De kamer is klein, maar heeft alles wat wij nodig hadden voor een comfortabel en rustig verblijf vooraleer we naar Pokhara gaan. Nothing!

- Kieran (10/5): Just what I needed after a long travel - Very peaceful place in a perfect location. You'd imagine it to be noisy from the crowdy streets of thamel but the moment you step inside Andes House you're immediately relaxed and feeling peaceful. The staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. I travel with my dog and the staff were so welcoming. Thank you so much! I'll be back.

- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - The location of Andes House is perfect for travelling around Thamel before and after trekking. We enjoyed our stay so much before our hike, and decided to come back to stay for the last 5 nights we had before leaving Nepal. The rooms with the updated bathrooms were especially comfortable and the included breakfast and coffee is so appreciated! We loved that this is a family run hotel and Deepak made us feel very welcome during our stay. Amazing value!
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - Our group had a great 2 night stay at Andes House before setting out on our trek. Our host Deepak was extremely kind and helpful from getting a pick-up from the airport, to arranging a ride to Ramechapp for us, giving us tips on our hiking itinerary, and even letting us store some of our stuff at the hotel while we are on our trek. Rooms are basic but comfortable and provided what we expected. The service was amazing and we really appreciated the included breakfast. Amazing value, would definitely recommend Andes House to others staying in Kathmandu before an adventure.
- Jiiips83 (10/5): Exceptional - Good 👍🏽 I will back Augean

- Al (7/5): Good -
- Kumar (10/5): like my home - really nice we will come back augean nothing
- Nandini (7/5): It was a pleasant stay ! - The sitting area was good and complementary breakfast The room facilities could be better, like my washroom basin was not woking, the toilet flush was leaking.
- Sarker (10/5): Smart but cheap! - It's been a great experience staying in this hotel, with a good, calming environment. Breakfast is great and healthy. The staff and owners are amicable. Rooms are cleaned every day and on demand. All these benefits at a low price are really astonishing!
- Monisha (8/5): Very good -
- Shrestha (5/5): Passable -
- Nahian (9/5): Superb -
- Manoj (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wasi (5/5): Better places to stay than this. - Nearby all places you want like restaurants and sites Tried scamming me all sort of ways Manipulative and liars. Untrustworthy.
- Zhe (10/5): Exceptional - Andes House has the friendliest host, with good location where it is just beside Thamel street, very convenience for to walk out and shop around. If you are like me who loves walking around, it is possible to walk all the way to Kathmandu Dubar Square, takes around 20 minutes one way.
- P.r. (5/5): Passable -
- Bhim (7/5): Good -

- Theresa (9/5): Superb - Really enjoyed the stay because it has the perfect destination in pretty Thamel. Actually the Khaki rolls just a few meters away are really good. :) also organized our bus to Pokhara in less then 10 minutes at 10 pm, really liked the personal. Tippitoppi
- Peter (7/5): A week at Anders House - Me and my wife stayed for a week. When we got there, the room was clean, and the bedding was clean and fresh. Our bed was really comfortable. Both of us were able to sleep really well. They offered a complementary breakfast. It was a decent size to begin the day, including omelette, 2 toast, butter and jam, coffee, or tea. It was a good way to start the day before heading out for the day.
It is also well situated being in Thamel close to everything. I was there to do some paperwork, and the places I needed to go were all within walking distance, which was great for us.
The staff here were also very friendly, always greeting us in the morning with quick breakfast service and people always cleaning. The outdoor sitting area/ entry was also quite nice and relaxing to be able to enjoy the breakfast or just bring friends to sit and chat.
Overall coment
I think the place is great as an affordable option if you're staying 1 or 2 nights and willing to take a chance on the hot water. If you want a more creature comfort type of stay, then you might be better paying a bit more to go somewhere else.
I think if they got the hot water fixed and just updated some things like getting new towels and checking all facilities are working as they should then this would be a perfect place for people who are looking for a good affordable option. Our towels were a little old, and one had holes in it. We also didn't get hot water every day to shower, which was difficult as it was quite cold in Kathmandu and in our room had no heating, making showering with cold water horrible. We managed to shower every second day.
There wasn't really given a reason for it as we were told that it would be available from 7 am as they need to turn on the heating system.
Honestly for me i have been to nepal enough to know there can be hotwater issues so having a kettle in the room to heat your water and a bucket option to even have a hot bucket shower would be better then nothing if the hot water issue is something they can't fix.
It would be good to be clear with people about it, though, as the people staying next door to us left after 1 night because they couldn't get hot water.
- Darbar (8/5): Very good - Location and price House keeping.....
- Sushmita (8/5): Very good -
- Binod (6/5): Pleasant - The vibe is good Room alloted was not as expected
- Dr. (5/5): Passable -
- Md (7/5): Good - Old Wash room
- Albeiro (1/5): Cold. - The personnel are kind and provides practical information on the visit of main tourist spots, including they provided cars' movement. Problem with the hot water (cold water;) the room was missing a light bulb, and it was dark especially in the evening, so I could not write in my laptop. Asking some solutions, they were not actually really addressed in a kind manner :)
- Anik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): Passable - Staff were helpful, and locatjon okay. No hot water in shower. Room very ordinary, and did not contain adveetised amenities: hair dryer, clothes rack, etc. Informed it is a unit, but we had merely a very small room.
- Vit (8/5): Central location for a reasonable price - Centrally located. Good value for your money. The room was clean. There is a garden where you can chill out. The staff was very kind and helpful. They organized a trip around Kathmandu Valley for us.
- Studio (7/5): Good - Push shower lickage and they didn't even fix it.
- Das (10/5): Exceptional - The guy Mr Babu is a very good and gentleman. Always helping. During my Kathmandu trip, he provided lots of information which came in handy. Definitely visiting next time.
- Alena (7/5): Good - Good location, friendly staff, breakfast. Good bathrooms. The quality of the rooms is not the same. The rooms in the basement are dark and unfriendly, no "view of the garden".
- Golchehreh (8/5): Comfortable and warm - The best thing about Andes House is the staff—they are incredibly hospitable and genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. Babu, in particular, is very helpful and offers great suggestions to enhance your travel plans. Our first room wasn’t clean and had bed bugs, but our second and third rooms were much better, though they were quite noisy. This is expected, as Andes House is located in Thamel, an area known for its lively nightlife.
- Sanjay (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - On the day of our departure our flight was spontaniously cancelled and the staff helped us to get everything worked out. They drove us to the office of the airline and later to the hotel we were sent to by the airline. Without him and his organisation and translation skills, it would have been hard for us to get all the information and it would not have been possible to be transferred to the next flight. Super nice, thank you very much!
- Akash (9/5): Superb - Environment is nice There is norhing
- Jihad (7/5): It was OK Nothing more… - It was ok. Nothing more The toilet flash does work properly and also the shower is a bit hard to use and I expected the bathroom more clean.
- Christina (10/5): Nice hotel in the heart of Kathmandu - Really nice hotel and hostel in the heart of Kathmandu! I really enjoyed my stay here! Stuff is really friendly and there is a nice garden to rest :) -
- Leonardo (10/5): Exceptional - Great staff! They help you in any needs! Very clean rooms and big breakfast to share with people from every part of the world.
- Azka (5/5): Passable - Socialising with other guests staying at the house was my favourite bit. Other than that, I think the mattress was the most comfortable bit as well as the friendly housekeeping staff. The location is very convenient as it is the middle of Thamel. The bathrooms need a bit of work done, and I think the owner could be a little more genuine. He comes across as a tad pushy, which was off-putting for me personally. He is very friendly and helpful, though.
Something I really did not like was the fact that you could not have even a tea after it strikes 10 am (the cut off for serving breakfast). A bit of flexibility with timing over something as simple as tea would really make a difference as tea is at the core of Nepalese (and all Indian) hospitality culture.
- Asim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abhishek (1/5): Bad - Just the location where i had to stay and nothing more. They gave me an unclean room with no proper lighting, The loo pan was not properly fixed to the ground I actually had told them to change my room and they didn't.
They don't have a card access either, you can't swipe card.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice helpful owner Babu with useful information and contacts!
- Shuvo (3/5): Poor -
- Majharul (8/5): Very good -
- Abir (8/5): Nice and comfy - The host was really nice. Overall it has a very nice and cozy garden view. The eating and sitting area was my favourite. Breakfast was also perfect. It was clear but I might prefer a bit more cleanliness.
- Sam (10/5): Good location, clean, friendly - Clean, friendly Nothing
