- Jesus Ernesto Guzman (6/5): - Beautiful ocean view but the hotel needs some attention. The curtains are filthy...covered in mold and so are the balcony chairs. The AC is super loud and it leaks. The closet in the room does not close properly and one of the hinges was on the ground upon arrival. We had to get new bed sheets on our first day as there was makeup on them and one of our pillows was dirty with what appeared to me to be a shoe mark, not sure. The breakfast is just ok and on one occasion the rice with beans smelled sour like it had gone bad. This is our second visit at this property since we had such a good experience on our first visit 2 yrs ago. Some construction taking place next door but it was not very loud, it actually did not bother us. There are some great things about it, the infinity pool is very nice and there is plenty of parking available and the staff is very nice. We like Wyndham properties and stayed at different ones around the world but it is likely our last time visiting this location.

I was pretty disappointed and we quickly left our reservation despite losing money. The staff was super nice, but that was the only nice thing about the place. The breakfast was an American typical buffet. Not at all what we were hoping for while traveling in another country.

Alliot and Anthony at the front desk were so helpful and welcoming. The only thing is some of the rooms are a bit dated. Scuffed up walls, old black out curtains. The bathroom is also very small.

- MARTHA (2/5): - Breakfast buffet very uncomfortable you are not able to sit down when someone is asking for tips and the buffet menu in two weeks did not change They are very fast to get the tips but sometimes we have to wait for plates coffee and other things the buffet starts at 6 but we had to wait one day we were at 6 because of a excursion it was not ready at 6 the person asking for tips was on time But don’t worry if you don’t leave a tip one day the person in the front desk will make extra charges to your mini bar account and if you ask for the print out of your bill they only show mini bar and the amount they want not a proper bill The place is located far away from the beach, shopping and restaurants they have transportation to the beach only until 8 pm and to town to 9 pm Never again

- Jerry De Jesus Rojas (4/5): - We had an amazing stay at Wyndham Tamarindo – the hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent service from the staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we truly enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. However, our experience at the on-site restaurant, Caviar, was extremely disappointing. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and poorly cooked. The meat wasn’t prepared properly, and the entire dining experience left a bad taste in our mouths – literally and figuratively. I highly recommend the hotel, but I suggest eating elsewhere in town if you're looking for a good meal.

Our room was very clean and was quite functional. The air conditioning worked great and our shower was nice and roomy with lots of hot water. Elena with Housekeeping came every day and made sure we had fresh towels and even left us sweet treats! ❤️ We enjoyed having a cocktail on our balcony and watching the sun set each evening. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed the swim up bar service. The breakfast buffet was delicious with so many options. I got excited each morning to see which amazing fruits were being offered. We dined several times at Caviar for lunch and dinner. Every meal was outstanding and the wait staff was so kind & attentive. The hotel also has a shuttle which will take you to town and the Langosta Beach Club. We spent one day at the beach club and enjoyed it, we even saw a Howler monkey! I highly recommend booking a stay at Wyndham Tamarindo. 👍🎉

There beach connection required a shuttle ride to rooms where nice but bit cramped no inside chairs other than that great staff and beautiful view from infinity pool

While the hotel is not closer to town / beach, they have shuttles that would take you to the town and to another beach front resort where you can lounge, chill and enjoy the beach. Overall good place to stay!

- Michael (10/5): Simply Amazing - Where do i even begin?! This property was nothing less of fantastic. Arrived 45 mins early due to my flight and transport from airport was ahead of schedule. Front desk accommodated the early arrival with a loving smile and genuine hospitality. The grounds were clean and maintained. Our room was on the 8th floor and it was clean and tidy but that really didn’t matter. It was cool or whatever lol. But when i tell you the view stole the show, i mean it. I was so ready for this birthday vacation for my Girlfriend and I. My expectations weren’t only met, but were exceeded beyond possible thought. I relive the moments at least twice a day and shed a tear of joy along the way. Amazing!!

The all you can eat breakfast buffett was superb. Unlimmited drinking water availiable by the elevator. Javiro at the hospitality excursion desk was absolutely fabulous; such a kind & genuine human being! He even gave me his phone number in case of an emergency! He arranged an excursion for me including a coffee/sugar cane tour, horseback ride, 8 zip lines, waterside down the mountain, mud bath, hot springs & waterfall with an AMAZING buffett Lunch at the top of the mountain. They also provided transportation to and from the hotel and was about 11 hours of fun! Javiro's son Sebastian took me on the excursion & he was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and I felt very safe & protected. He even stopped at a gift shop with samples of coffee & chocolate & Walmart for us & was so patient & kind to us. $190 US for the entire day. There is a shuttle leaving the hotel every hour to take us to Tamarindo, 1 stop in the town and 1 stop at the beach resort. My shuttle driver Randal was THE BEST!!!! He was so kind & hospitable, & we had great conversations on all the trips. Staying at the Wyndham was an effortless experience as the staff were very friendly and provide you with everything you will need. Muchas Gracias for an experience of a lifetime. - Jackie (4/5): - We had to move our room due to air conditioning leaking, once we we got a new room they only wanted to give us 1king bed for the 3 of us, instead of 2 beds I originally requested. We finally got 2 beds as requested and we did get a free dinner out of it. The whole hotel looks old and not that clean. There’s hand prints on the walls and doors to the bathroom in the room. the hallways are dirty, and most of the staff there is unfriendly. The main area of the hotel does look clean the view from the pool is nice. Hotel is close the the town as well.
- Sergio (10/5): - Quiet, comfortable and beautiful views. What I didn’t like that pool appeared gloomy so early in the morning instead of sparking needing chlorine or a shocker from being used the day before. Breakfast buffet needs more variation throughout the days
- Emily (10/5): Overall awesome - The pool and the pool bar were absolutely incredible. Service at the restaurant was pretty slow but the food was really good. The breakfast was mediocre. The cleanliness was mediocre. The view was absolutely incredible I would say overall for the money this was an incredible value. There was a giant bug that came underneath the door quickly in the middle of the night I screamed my head off. And the elevator there was warnings saying that they were not venomous but I still screamed like a girl. There are quite a few dead cockroaches which means that they are treating for them but it's just kind of an open-air part of nature atmosphere and I think that that's probably somewhat unavoidable.
- Tracey (8/5): Nice option in Tamarindo - Away from the crowds of Tamarindo. Beautiful view of the ocean and infinity pool over looking the town and ocean. Staff was helpful but more staff was needed in food service areas due to demand.

- Ching-Ha (6/5): - That sunet view was stunning. Infinity pool had a perfect backdrop. The room could have been cleaned better and breakfast could have been better. Shuttle to town and beach club was a plus. All in all, it was still a good stay.

Stayed in 4 hotels during my trip and this breakfast was the least favoured. The shuttle was great to take us into town and to the Lagosta Beach club. Overall, it was still a good stay.

Even though I wasn't to keen on relying on the shuttle to go up and down the hill the shuttle drivers themselves are above and beyond. Shout out to Jaime. I would 100% stay at the Wyndham again when I return to Tamarindo.

- Maria (4/5): - The view was what made us book on this property. Sadly we had the worst time, we were only there one day and the pool bartender made our stay feel like a nightmare. We were ignored and overlooked, she instead payed attention to other guests even though we were there way before them. She laughed in our face and ignored what we asked for, at once rolling her eyes. It was sad because we looked forward to coming back the minute we saw the view from the pool overlooking the ocean. Definitely feeling overlooked over someone who seems had more money is always a nasty feeling. I hope they do better in ensuring their staff is fair and friendly to everyone. Aside from that, the property is amazing and the rest of the staff was great.

- Megan (8/5): - Such a beautiful property! The accommodations are very nice and the pool looks over a gorgeous view. Also loved the shuttle service to the beach club or the town center area. Everything is less than 10 minutes away but the hotel sits up away from all the noise which is nice. Even an Uber there is only about $5 one way. Most of the staff are friendly and say hi when you walk around the property. The one and only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the food. The breakfast was not all that tasty and there were flies around every morning. They did their best to accommodate but everything was a little bland in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved the experience and I would absolutely stay again!

- Terence (10/5): Spectacular View and Amenities - This hotel location and amenities were perfect! Loved having a shuttle into town. The staff were very welcoming. Spa costs are high so check in town before booking and also be careful about taking suggestions of places to eat from the staff. Seems references may be for their family’s restaurants and food may not be as good and highly priced. The pool and views are spectacular!

- KIMBERLY (6/5): - If the hotel going to provide bar, restaurant and room service the hotel should be able to handle it. The swim up pool bar was out of drinks the 1st day there. The 2nd day the bar food service was closed because of a private party they were going to serve. Later in the day I tried to order room service they said they were too busy and to call back in an hour. Try to call back an hour later, the phone was being picked up and put down disconnecting the call. The staff wasn't even trying to answer the phone. Hotel is nice, clean. It is a 20 walk into town; the hotel is on a hill. They provide a shuttle into town every hour which is great if you do not want to walk.

- Ariana (10/5): - Loved our stay and would definitely stay there again! The room was clean, spacious and had a great view. Bed was comfortable, I slept like a baby. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. They have a cat super visor named Ruben but he just sleeps all day lol. The rest of the staff is super friendly and made sure we had a great stay. Rocio and brian were the absolute best.

Lots of umbrellas with sun chairs, clean pool. We rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay and loved using it to get us to the lanogsta beach club and around tamarindo. - Savannah (8/5): - This property had an incredible view, as it was located up on the hill. They offer a shuttle service to and from town which we didn't use, but I imagine is very convenient! They also included access to their partner beach club which was amazing & included a gym with classes available! The rooms themselves were nice, but a bit outdated & the bathroom was tiny.

- Jennifer (8/5): - This was such a lovely hotel. All the rooms overlook the pool and the beach/sunset. It's up on a steep hill so the views are nice, but definitely not easy to walk to and from the beach. Fortunately, they have a shuttle, but we rented a car. The rooms, however, leave much to be desired. They are sparsely decorated with minimal furniture, which was disappointing considering how beautiful the downstairs lobby was.

We arrived very early so had breakfast at the restaurant while the hotel put a rush on our rooms. We very much appreciated the early check in plus the bottle of wine left in the room for us. This hotel is perched up on the hill away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo but an easy shuttle ride from the hotel to all of the restaurants, shopping and beach. We will be back. Thank you for going out of your way to accommodate us and for making our stay a memorable one!

- Adrienne (8/5): - The Wyndham was a perfect retreat from the bustle of Tamarindo. Every room has beautiful ocean views and the infinity pool was lovely. We didn’t have dinner at the restaurant, but we did have lunch and snacks and the food was tasty. The shuttle bus was a god send. I really couldn’t imagine walking to town in the heat and without sidewalks. We did have an issue with our room it was extremely mildewed & moldy when I complained to the front desk and they they responded that all rooms are a bit sticky because of the humidity. This was beyond. move us to a much better unit. In general, the rooms are a bit worn, but they are comfortable and the view is spectacular. walk to town because I’m gonna pick it as no snow bye-bye. The Beach club was crowded, but it was terrific to have a base for food, bathroom., I had an excellent massage by INGRID.
