• Denis McGuirk (10/5): Very lovely classic Up-to Date-Victorian in a prime location - This is an older renovated Victorian home. Great care was taken to make the unit comfortable. The unit felt very classic, but was very up to date. The kitchen had all the amenities you would want. The bedroom / living room was very spacious. The location, only a block away from main Baker St, was superb. The heating was very effective.

Quiet area, easy walk to restaurants, Main Street, etc. Damage to the outside fire escape stairs from a vehicle “not making the corner”, which made them unusable, was a bit concerning. The grout between the tile above the shower was rather stained, and could use a good cleaning. Otherwise, an enjoyable, quiet, good location place to stay.

• Deanne (8/5): - Room had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Ate at home a few times because we had a kitchen, ate out because we were close to Baker Street. Helpful owner. Convenient to downtown. Noisy with commuters during working day due to traffic from off-ramp and highway, however that calmed down as the night went on.

• Joseph (10/5): Amazing final vacation for Summer - Myself and my 3 teenage daughters had a delightful stay at the Victoria Falls Inn, the access to downtown shops and service was fantastic, and the ability to cook lovely meals with our locally purchased food was the icing on the cake. Cathy-Ann was also full of great tips on great swimming and recreation spots for the family, including our dog! We’ll be back!
• Katherine (10/5): Our Favourite Stay in Nelson! - I love vintage homes that are in impeccable shape!  The beds are extremely comfortable, the bathroom is huge, spotless and well supplied with amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed plus extra treats from local businesses.  The air-conditioner worked well on the +30 days - closing the excellent blinds in the hottest hours made a huge difference. The location cannot be beat - easy to get to, ample parking, and right downtown, so close to everything.  Our favourite stay in Nelson - would book it again in a heartbeat. Big thank you to the excellent hosts!  There's truly nothing not to like.

• Bill (10/5): - This is a beautiful historic property renovated into several units. It's welcoming the second you reach the gate as you walk under an arbor covered in flowers. The lawn and gardens are well maintained. Inside they have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Dishes, soaps, extra toilet paper, hair dryers and even a fan are provided. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Nelson on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

• Amanda (4/5): - The property is fantastic—centrally located, with charming historical features. The MOD was welcoming and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. However, my departure experience was disappointing. I realized I left my ergonomic pillow behind, which is essential for medical reasons. Unable to retrieve it personally, I asked if it had been found. After a day and follow-ups, they confirmed it and agreed to ship it if I sent a label. A few days later, there was confusion over a delayed charge for my stay, which I mistakenly denied but quickly resolved. In the same email, I sent the shipping label for the pillow. I was told the pillow would be shipped the next day but received no updates. After two days, I followed up, offering to schedule a postal pickup to ease their burden. Despite my efforts, communication stalled. When I reached out to the MOD for an update, I received a scolding email asking me not to contact the MOD again and accusing me of being angry and unsympathetic to the owner's personal hardships—an accusation that felt unwarranted as I remained professional throughout. The situation is frustrating. My medical condition requires proper spinal support, yet the pillow remains packed with no shipment date or pickup address provided. While sympathetic to the owner's circumstances, I hoped for mutual understanding of my needs. Now, I face either buying a replacement pillow I can’t afford or continuing doctor visits indefinitely—all due to poor communication.

When I contacted her for a kettle during my stay, she responded and took care of my ask in a timely fashion. My experience of staying in this lovely nostalgia house was cosy and comfortable.

We walked 5 minutes or less to every restaurant we wanted to check out. Noise bleed from the other rooms was pretty bad. We could hear everything going on in the other rooms and I was kept up one night because I could hear someone snoring in a different room.

• Calin (10/5): Cozy and fully equipped place - Really nice and cozy place. We stayed in the Baker suite. Comfortable and large place. Has all amenities required for making your own food. They even gave us pasta, sauce, and local coffee beens that we used with the French press provided! It's really easy to find and get into through the self checkin procedure. Parking is available and free. Really enjoyed the stay while skiing at Whitewater Ski Resort. Location is central and walkable distance to everything... All was fine.

The only thing to note, it is not quiet as it’s right next to a highway off ramp/busy road, also can easily hear guests is other rooms and above with the creeky floors but guests did a good job during quiet hours. Host was very helpful with local info and exploring nearby ski areas.

Rather than part of the house, the room gave the impression it was not connected to anything. Access was via a laneway. Furnishings were basic and there was no television. • Jane (10/5): We had had a happy time stayed there. - My friend and I went to Nelson in early May, it was still a bit off season. We stayed two nights in Victoria fall house, it was very quiet as only we two guests there. The location was perfect, close to everything. The room had a fully equipped kitchen. Also, it has a private parking lots back of building, which was so convenient and valuable to us as we had a car. I would stay again if I come to Nelson next time and recommend it to any of my friend who's going there. Nothing really
• Hailey (9/5): Superb - Walking distance to food, coffee and shopping. The suite was spacious and the temperature inside was perfect, the location was quiet and felt very private even though it was downtown. The hosts were responsive and accommodating whenever we had questions and when we wanted to change our room and add on an extra night. Noise privacy between suites was not as effective. The guests above our suite on the final day of our stay had heavy footing and we could her them walking around throughout the night.
