We booked this last minute to escape from a nightmarish hotel booked on Trip which looked nothing like the pictures! Very well situated and connected, very clean. Good breakfast too. Nothing, just not putting 10/10 because it’s not a 5 star hotel so there’s always better :)

The hotel staff were courteous. There was no coffee at the tea station in the room. There were almost no options of vegetarian food at the breakfast buffet. They should consider keeping some as international guests come to the hotel. There is no facility to heat food as they do not have a microwave. There is no option to buy and eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel.

• Jacek_TA (2/5): Dirty - it looked like mould - Stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Mongkok as a Diamond Elite member. While the location is convenient, the room condition was disappointing. The bathroom had visible mould in the shower and the room felt musty, raising hygiene concerns. I raised this with the duty manager, but no meaningful resolution or goodwill gesture was offered, and the response felt indifferent. As a result, I had to escalate the issue to IHG directly. The room was also not upgraded. While I understand upgrades are not guaranteed, I would at least expect a clean and properly maintained room. Overall, this stay fell below expectations, particularly in terms of cleanliness and service recovery.

Также в ванной не было шторки, все из душа вытекало к унитазу. Система кондиционирования общая, поэтому местами пахло оттуда такой южной влажностью (но мокро в номере не было, к частью)

• Felix (8/5): Preis-Leistung ist top - Hotel ist zu empfehlen. - Zimmer super sauber, jedes mal aufgeräumt. Geräuschpegel super niedrig, also sehr entspannt. Inventar war schon etwas benutzt, aber keineswegs eklig - sauber war alles, da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Lage ist super - abgelegt, sodass man nicht im Großstadtlärm lebt und aber trotzdem so zentral, dass man bequem zur U-Bahn kommen kann. Auswahl an Frühstück - es war nicht wirklich Buffet. Es gab morgens die Auswahl zwischen 4 Gerichten, wobei man als westlich erzogene Person lediglich 2 zu sich nehmen konnte - Toast mit Bohnen, Ei und Hashbrowns oder Nudelsuppe. Das einzige was an Buffet erinnert, waren Kaffeemaschinen, einen Toaster und die Möglichkeit 4 verschiedene Kaltgetränke in ein Glas zu lassen. Irgendwann ist man dann nur noch für einen Kaffee hin.

• Achintya (8/5): Incredible staff, clean hotel - Incredible staff. Really helpful and supportive. Go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable and convinient stay. Rooms very well cleaned every single day. Breakfast has only 4 fixed options every single day. Somebody like me who was there for almost 7 days, cannot eat the same thing everyday. Specially difficult for those with diet restrictions, they have no options. Rooms are quite small, despite being premium rooms but I guess thats an issue in most hotels in HK. I was hoping for a veiw from the hotel since a higher floor on 15th was booked, but you open the curtains just to see another tall building bang opposite. so no view really.
