- UK Turkey Trotter (9/5): A good place at as good price. Just what we asked for. - It does what it says on the can & provides accommodation at a reasonable price and with a nice friendly ,manner. I managed to lock myself out of my room and the owner and I made a tv comedy series about it. He's one of the good guys. Good parking, breakfast was fine, no fuss & bother, just right. Nothing

- Marcia (10/5): - Always the cleanest place with nice ce linens and comfortable beds There’s a couple places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful flowers they have there
- YOLANDA (10/5): Room was clean and comfortable - Visiting casino. Location was not far from casino. Safe environment. Staff was respectful and let us know where room was and when breakfast was and when it opened.
- Manuel (7/5): Nice place - The bed a room is comfortable. The room was nice and clean. Easy check in process. There good have been a little more verity of breakfast stuff. The air conditioner in the room had tape around it that did not look great.
- Teresa (10/5): - Quaint setting; almost like going back in time. A bit like an old European B&B. Nothing
- Bruce (9/5): -
- Linda (8/5): - Cozy Room was a bit small.
- Jen (8/5): - Everyone is very friendly. Weak wifi & low water pressure, if these are important to you.
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Scott (5/5): Not great - Price Terrible WiFi. Still using a door key. Inconvenient

- Ken1955 (7/5): It's an OK stay for the price along interstate 84. - The room was small but very clean. The location is good for getting back onto interstate 84. The breakfast was poor. No caffeine free coffee. There were bagels and cereal. No milk. There is a good breakfast restaurant .3 miles away that opens at 7:00 a.m.
- Ken (2/5): - Our room was downstairs, which was fine. Room was small and not exactly "clean'. We traveled with my service animal, a medium dog. We got a call the next day saying that our dog had scratched the bathtub. While our dog might have gotten into the bathtub, I do not see how her nails could have scratched a bathtub. At first they tried telling us that the bath towels were all black. Once we told them we didn't use the towels on the dog, THEN they said the bathtub was scratched. My wife asked what it was going to take to fix it, the guy said $100. Sounds like BS to me!!

- Jill (10/5): Love the staff, little breakfast room, easy parking and super clean room with crisp linens. Highly recommend. Will defin - Convenient to shopping and essentials, safe, excellent easy parking, pretty well insulated from noise, clean and well maintained, nice little outdoor seating area. The road is a little noisy during the day but the building is pretty insulated so it’s not bad inside.
- Karen (9/5): -
- Jen (10/5): - It was very cute and quaint. The staff that ran it were very kind.
I will definitely stay here again. I have family in Pendleton that I see often.
- Terry (8/5): -
- Judy (10/5): Pleasant suprise - This property was a pleasant suprise. It is a bit off I-84. It is an older building that has been kept up with maintenance and cleaning. It was fun to stay somewhere that was really clean and a little bit of a blast from the past. You can tell it was probably a hotel in the 50's. The bathrooms were updated, but the rooms still had that older charm. Breakfast was good, basically what you get anywhere. The price was a good value. It was easy to get back to I-84 in the morning. Parking was easy for an auto. If you have trouble with stairs, be sure and request a ground floor room. There are no elevators. They still use old style keys. Really everything was great.

- James (9/5): Reasonably priced rustic lodge - Reasonably priced rustic lodge near Pendleton downtown. Friendly staff A bit of train noise but not bad. The self serve breakfast was just ok - yogurt, hard boiled eggs and the usual packaged pastries, toast and cereal. But typical for this price point. Downtown restaurants were just within walking distance (about a mile).
- Kathryn (8/5): Great for a quick stay in a quaint town. - The area was quaint. It was peaceful and the room was comfortable and rugged. It was a pleasant experience. Hal's hamburgers were delicious ( little 50's drive through a short walk away). It was ok. Nothing to write home about but it was fine. I am not one for complaining unless something was majorly wrong.
- James (9/5): - Have stayed here previously and both times have been very pleased. Friendly y service. My husband was even able to watch NCAA final game which made his stay. Will s tr ay again. E erything was great but of course, prices have risen, but that is the same everywhere you go. It is still a great place for the cost.
- Shirley (8/5): Will definitely return ! - Did not eat the breakfast, beds were very comfortable and room was very quiet, will definitely stay again!
- John (9/5): -
- Joe (10/5): -
- Tim (8/5): Basic, good value, clean and comfortable - I liked the level entry, easy access, comfy bed, very clean. I did not like the name
- Linda (8/5): Good value - Good value and a nice room Room was downstairs and view was a weed parch.
- 674christab (10/5): Super clean! - We stayed one night and found the room super clean and the owners super helpful. Continental breakfast was provided with a selection of breads, muffins, hard cooked eggs, and drinks all in a clean kitchen. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable. We would stay here again!
- Linda (7/5): Cheap and cheerful! - Good vocation, friendly staff clean room Train noise
- Amber (10/5): Great value, extra comfortable beds! - Lodge is well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Full blackout curtains, and quality bedding were the stand outs during our stay. Good value for money!
- Eric (10/5): - The property had a retro feel to it. The room was clean. Everything was exactly as I had hoped. Great value for the money.
- Debra (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): Good price, clean, welcoming. - Clean and welcoming. Cozy decorations. Was all good
- Ewa (4/5): - Location Bedbugs which destroy my whole trip
- Vanessa (8/5): Returning satisfied customer - The price & comfort of the place parking is a bit crowded
- Marcia (10/5): - Always very clean and comfy: great value
- brian (8/5): Enjoyed staying at a classic motel. - for an older motel, very comfortable.
- Sunshine (7/5): Quick, easy, convenient. - Room was clean and quiet. Staff at reception was friendly. It felt safe and secure. I appreciated the parking for my uhaul trailer. I loved that my dog was able to stay with me since I was moving and had her with me...well she's always with me anyway! The blackout curtains were a nice touch. The breakfast was not at all what I expected. Very unappealing and I didn't have anything. The bed was a little hard. The shower and toilet both screamed when you used them! Nothing crazy.. just little things.
- Laurie (10/5): A real gem! - Rugged Country Lodge is a gem! It is amazingly affordable for the high quality of the room. Clean as a whistle, pristine white linens top to bottom on a very comfortable bed, and extra pillows and blankets! A very rare thing these days. We will stay at Rugged Country Lodge anytime we are in Pendleton. Not a thing!
- Ken (8/5): In and out, nice stop to rest over night. - nice room for the extra cost. ice could have been easier to access.
- Twyla (8/5): Clean, comfortable, easy access - It was clean even though older. They let me stay in the dining area after they were "closed". The staff were friendly. nothing I can think of
- Bennett (10/5): - Extremely clean and quiet. Great value. Would definitely stay again.
- Paul (5/5): - Very poor breakfast options No proteins
- Kimberly (10/5): We all would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back - Property was very clean and extremely affordable. We had a large group and had 3 rooms total. We loved that all of our rooms were right next to eachother and since there were only 4 rooms on our level we kinda had the floor to ourselves Only suggestion we have would be to raise the tvs up higher. They are low and kinda hard to see when laying in bed
- STEPHEN (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and very affordable - Clean and comfortable. It is pretty simple but a great place for an overnight. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay, again basic. Excellent value and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and save over the big chain hotels. Located on busy street but noise no problem. We didn’t notice the train noise others have mentioned. Highly recommend! Also, if you’re looking for dinner we loved the Great Pacific (bar and pizza). Pillows a bit hard but we almost always bring our own so no problem. Even the more expensive hotels rarely have “feather-like” pillows.
- Steve (10/5): - Room was very clean and quiet. True blackout curtains were a welcomed suprise. Bed was comfortable as was the shower. Good value.
- Hall (10/5): -
- beth butler (6/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): Excellent in every way - Kindness, clean, would like to stay there again Nothing. Keurig coffee maker might be a strong addition.
- Audrey Gale (1/5): Don’t lose money repairing your vehicle at this “budget hotel “ - When i reported last night’s vandalism in the hotel parking lot the owner said he couldn’t do anything about it. Our white Toyota Tundra was spray painted BLACK overnight while parked in the hotel lot where the manager advised us to park!
- Kyra (8/5): Good value - It was cute, clean and staff was extremely friendly. The toilet in our room was insanely loud when flushed.
- Pavel (10/5): - I like that the person who met me at night showed kind and polite hospitality, neat and clean rooms at a great price, it is pleasant to sleep in a hospitable atmosphere!
- George (9/5): -
- Ross (9/5): Check-in was quick and the room was close to the office and really enjoyed the breakfast. - It was conveniently located to our route and was a really nice stay. Nothing, it was a very good experience.
- Roger (9/5): -
- Charles (10/5): Quiet, comfortable and priced makes it a great value. - Comfortable and quiet. In order to have 2 queen beds we had to climb some stairs. Not a deal breaker.
- Marissa (5/5): -
- Robert (8/5): -
- Roger (6/5): Cheap motel that has a clean bed and not much else - Convenient, clean Very small bathroom. No vanity. Noisy because of the trains. Breakfast was very marginal.
- Bechtel (10/5): Will definitely be back, excellent stay - Clean room and establishment, very friendly staff
- Spaulding (5/5): -
- Rick (10/5): Our room was perfect, and the manager was very friendly. - The room was so clean and also very cozy. We will definitely be back! Nothing
- Jon (8/5): Will definitely stay here again - nice people, comfortable and very clean. Exceptionally nice hot shower. - Very clean room, hot water shower and comfortable bed.
Extremely pleasant staff. Not a drawback for us but there is an active railway (approx 200m from back of bldg) that had hourly trains all night. I’ve live d near tracks before, so it was kind of “old home” vibes for me. Light sleepers may find it disturbing.
- Bob (10/5): Building was old, but room was updated and clean. Very comfortable. - Minimal breakfast. No meat or waffles/ pancakes
- Casey (10/5): - This place is SOOOO cute and quaint. Older yes, but SO VERY CLEAN! The host was VERY nice and helpful. And BONUS, the casino shuttle picks up and drops off here!
Will for sure be staying here again! Nothing!
- Arlene (9/5): Pleasant over all. - Nice and clean. The facility was wonderful but we weren’t aware there are train tracks behind the building that interfere with restful sleep; nonetheless we would stay there again.
- Ulestad (8/5): -
- Marcia (10/5): -
- Christopher (5/5): - The room heat was off when we checked in and the room was frigid when we arrived and didn't warm to a comfortable temperature before we went to bed 3 hours later.
- Michael (9/5): - Great value! Not the latest or most up to date, but it had everything done lovingly! Art was nice, tasteful. And the other customers were nice! Okay, there were a few trains, but didn't bother us. Soundproofing between floors not perfect.
- Zoran (8/5): - The owner was very nice and friendly, he let me check in little bit earlier with no charge, everything was very good🙂
- Wideman (10/5): We were there for 2 nights, very clean and comfortable, would stay there again. - Didn't have breakfast
Nice, clean and quiet, love the sound of the trains, cool. Can't think of anything.
- Cindy (9/5): - This was our 2nd time staying here because we enjoyed the place so much. This will probably be the only place in pendleton that we ever stay The blankets were very light. We are used to a little heavier blanket.
- Bergstrom (7/5): Comfortable - Clean room Roof over the shower leaked from above. Poor breakfast. If you advertise a breakfast it should be better than white bread and bagel.
- Heron Hygiene (10/5): - Very accommodating and friendly staff!
- Donna (10/5): Quiet and comfy and tidy - Quiet and tidy
- Gillis (9/5): -
- Bert (8/5): - Comfortable but disappointed in the breakfast selection
- Debra (8/5): Much better than a slightly more expensive chain hitel - Charming, old school motel but comfy bed, refurbished fixtures, felt clean. A train did go by in the night but only heard it because I was not yet asleep.
