• Wendy (9/5): - Lovely renovation of the church. Very comfortable and stylish. All the facilities we needed. Big kitchen and fridge for our cooking needs.Parking out the front .Easy walk to shops in Fox Glacier town and to Minnehaha walk. Had a washing machine but no dryer, which would have been useful but we managed without.

Well worth staying for a night or two. - The architectural detail is stunning, the bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is nicely stocked and in great condition, plenty of hot water and good water pressure, peaceful view out the back. It’s a bit close to the neighboring properties with the way windows line up, but there are shades for privacy.

Hochwertige Ausstattung, umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, hochwertige Nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit Milchschäumer. nichts dramatisches… es war etwas kalt trotz der Heizlüfter und Klimaanlage (die Bettdecke hat aber sehr warm gehalten)

The building itself was stunning (we loved the rafters!) and the re-imagining of the church was thoughtful and clever as it retained some of the original features. Kitchen was well stocked. Bed very comfortable. Beautifully decorated. We could not find any faults at all.

• Kaye (10/5): A memorable three night stay. - The church at Fox was beautifully renovated into accommodation and was exactly as the online info portrayed. It had a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed and lounge. Thank you to the owners.
• Robin (10/5): Luxury in Fox - Loved the Church conversion. It is beautifully done and perfectly located. The bottle of wine was a nice touch and a really good drop. Corkscrew was a little hard to find in the concealed draw. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lack of dryer and iron.

• Julie (8/5): Fox Glacier Gem - beautiful building well presented and excellent facilities, private and great location. after booking asked to sign a pdf agreement to damage reimbursement, nothing of this mentioned on the booking.com site. No problem in principle but usually when signing such an agreement, such as car hire you agree any existing damage before signing. We had to sign before getting to the property so then had to take pictures of existing damage. I believe there should be another way to achieve this outcome as it you don't sign you can't stay.

• Shea (8/5): Cute and fun stay, just missing the final touches - Very cute and charming place to stay, definitely a fun idea. On a whole a great well thought out stay, but a few little things could improve the stay for others. A really nice idea of having a complimentary bottle of wine all set up on the table, unfortunately it appears they forgot to leave one for us as it was no where to be found, easy mistake but a little disappointing. Heating was something else we struggled with, having the heat pump on full throughout the night we still found the place chilly, perhaps having the heating set on before guests arrive would have been a nice touch.

Hosts provided all equipment needed to cook in the very modern kitchen. Lovely touch leaving, bottle of wine for arrival.

You have everything you need to cook, wash your clothes, relax, and be aware of what to do in the area. You have to bring down the curtains one by one to have some privacy and there are quite a few of them, if you can consider this a negative thing...

• Rosemary (10/5): Nice stay, Absolutely recommended - Nice kitchen, I guess some may have difficulty with European style or appliances, but we have similar, so no problems. I read some reviewers found the bathroom door was sticking or they didn't like the bathroom blinds. I'm reporting the bathroom door slides easily, and even if someone put their nose up to the window they couldn't possibly see anything. The property is as nice as the interior photos show. Remodel was very tastefully done. Thank you for the bottle of wine. We had problems with the front door, but let's admit it was user error. It's on the highway. We slept well except for the dog next door that was going through separation anxiety. Certainly not the fault of our proprietor.
• Julian (10/5): Wonderful place to stay with a superb and warm atmosphere and very well equipped - Superb location within walking distance of restaurants and flight centers. Property was extremely charming and very well equipped. From the outside you are not aware of the quality of the furniture, decoration and wonderful warm atmosphere. Absolutely nothing
• Connor (10/5): - Was a one of a kind accommodation, absolutely stunning. Would have gotten 11/10 apart from a few little things. The mattress is old and a little uncomfortable. There are blinds all around that have gaps on either side if you like feeling private while having a shower or getting changed you might feel a bit weird about that and the last even less important thing is the tv isn't a smart tv so if you want to watch movies you'll need to bring a USB or DVD/Blu-ray with you. Apart from those small details it was incredible and my partner and I will definitely be staying again sometime.

• Ian (4/5): The owner needs to pay more attention to the customer. - The property was advertised with air conditioning but only had a heat pump and fan. This is FALSE advertising. We arrived on a day of 28C and it was like a furnace inside. The toilet door was jammed open giving no privacy! Oh and by the way, the fridge is a European model not certified for NZ electrical safety requirements - hope it doesn't catch on fire as your insurance can be invalid for this. Also don't impose stupid terms and conditions (like no more than 4 people allowed on the property at any time) after accepting my money and don't put in the house book that I will get a complementary local NZ wine when you actually supply a crappy Spanish substitute. Could have been great but spoilt by your arrogance and false advertising.

• Michael (9/5): Pleasant Unique experience. - High ceiling, high end facilities, complementary red wine, lots of options of tv entertainment. TV unit can also be swivelled 360 degrees to be watched from all areas. Little interesting thoughtful touches example, lots of hangers, extra Heater provided, Nespresso coffee, little plush bear at the half floor attic etc. Roller Blinds are manual and most of them did not cover well for better privacy . Most concerning area for us is that the toilet clear windows couldn’t be covered completely by the blinds. We wish that the windows in the toilet should be at least frosted as the toilet is near the neighbours’ car-parking area. .The closing and opening of the pocket door of the toilet entrance is also not smooth.
• Elizabeth (9/5): Lovely cozy house, comfortable bed, everything you need. - Beautifully restored stone and wood building, blending modern with old. thoughtfully designed. The only thing it might need is a hook or two for towels in the bathroom.
• Andrew (10/5): - What an incredible place to stay. AJ and Roz saved a little old church and turned it into a one-of-a-kind place to stay. There is so much natural light. The bed and furniture are so comfy and you have a view of the mountain through the massive back window. Lots of thought and care have gone into providing little touches that make this a wonderful place to stay.

• Josh (8/5): A rare find and unique stay at the Fox Glacier - A stylish and unique accommodation unlike anything else in the area. Very cold even with the heat pump on as it’s one large room which doesn’t retain the heat. Path leading to the door is very smooth and slippy in the morning due to ice, might not be suitable for people with mobility issues like myself.

• Philip (10/5): Atmospheric and luxurious stay. - Fantastic building with all mod cons and comfort. Complimentary bottle of good qualty pinot noir upon arrival. Great views. Fully equipped kitchen and great bathroom. Comfortable lounge area and very comfy bed. If I were being picky, it would be great if the roller blinds were electrically operated throughout and there was a clothes dryer to go with the washing machine. Spiral stairs to the mezzanine would help, and I think a new front door is probably overdue. Great stay though - a place I would highly recommend.

The wine presented by AJ was very delicious. Mr. Matt took us to a tourist spot and was very helpful. I want to go to stay again. I didn't know how to garbage separation. I'm sorry, I didn't know how to contact the hotel.

• Larry (10/5): Unique Place to Stay in Fox Glacier - The Church is a very unique place. It was actually a small church building before being converted to a large one room rental with a kitchen. Upgrades are very modern including the kitchen. The Church is very close to the center of Fox Glacier, allowing you to walk to restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed staying at the Church and found it a very comfortable place to stay.
