• Kathy (10/5): - Wonderful resort. The breakfast and steak house were excellent. Bring your tennis racket or pickle ball paddle, or golf clubs if you are a golfer. I personally enjoyed the hot tubs and lap pool. Our room had a balcony overlooking the golf course.

The complaint I had is the steak restaurant is super expensive and the bar area was so busy that we didn’t even try to get a drink or food there , so we had to go off site for dinner and drinks. They only offered a 20% spa discount on the second day of our stay. The room was decent but the mattress was terrible. You could tell it was very old. The facility and area around was nice and clean. The pool area was also nice.

• Mukesh (8/5): - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Flying Horse and had good experience. Check-in was smooth. The room was great but the wifi was public and neither fast, didn't use for security concerns. Housekeeping was consistent and respectful of my schedule. The hotel’s facilities were great but majority of them needed paid reservations like tennis, Golfing, Spa etc. I especially enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet was amazing and worth the price. The location is also perfect, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and interested in golfing. Just be mindful of all the prices before making reservation as there are additional taxes and fee charged for each day and services we use which might be quite usual in major resorts. Overall it was a great experience.

• Alex (2/5): - This past vacation was a real disappointment, especially considering the price. We booked with the expectation of enjoying the amenities, but it quickly became clear that this place caters largely to the club members, leaving lodge guests like us feeling like an afterthought. The two "nice" days we had were completely overshadowed by the utterly chaotic pool area. It was packed to the gills with not a single seat or lounger available, making it impossible for our kids to use or to even relax. To add insult to injury, the indoor hot tub was out of order our entire stay, another advertised amenity we couldn't use. Even the indoor basketball court, which we hoped to utilize, was constantly full with pickle ball players only clearing out after 7 PM – hardly convenient for a family vacation. While the rooms were clean, they lacked basic conveniences. There was no real coffee machine, just a pathetic instant espresso machine setup, and no microwave. The mini-fridge was laughably small, barely fitting three water bottles. For the premium price we paid, these omissions were significant and contributed to a feeling of being nickel-and-dimed. Overall, this resort is severely overpriced for the limited and overcrowded facilities they offer. We ate at the bar area and after soda, 2 small drink and 8 wings the bill was $79.00.

We appreciated the front desk host accommodating our request for a Mountain View vs the golf course view. The king room we stayed in was beautiful and clean. I really appreciated having the balcony. You could tell housekeeping worked very hard! Although we had a great Mountain View, you also have a view of the parking lot from some rooms, however, this is how the space was designed. Overall the landscape was breathtaking and everywhere you looked had a view of something beautiful. Room service was pricey although they were prompt, very friendly, and the food was good and I appreciate having the option to order food to the room! The pool area and spa accommodations were lovely. We used the hot tub since the pool was a little too cold for us although others were swimming in it. Overall would definitely stay again.

Additionally if you’re going to advertise as a spa resort not only should you have robes but you should have slippers, especially in the suites. Lastly something small like a bowl of fruit or trail mix should be the room. Though there are some luxury elements it’s really a three star hotel with a spa across the street.

You can't shut off the nightstand lamps independent of the wall switch. Also, there is a smoke detector right above one of the beds that has a super bright LED light that shines right on the bed. • Krista (4/5): - It’s a beautiful property but a lot of things were closed or blocked off so you couldn’t enjoy most of it. They control the temperature of your room from a computer so we couldn’t sleep because it was hot until we finally called at midnight since the thermostat did nothing. The front desk lady didn’t know any of our questions and would transfer us to lines that didn’t answer. We ordered take out from the restaurant but they didn’t even give us silverware. I will say the food was great though. Some areas said closed for event even though we checked and there was never an event or anyone there. We basically just got to stay in a room, not be able to sleep until after midnight because of the thermostat issue and had to eat with our hands. It wasn’t worth the price just to be in a pretty area and building.

• taniansmall (8/5): Wonderful stay- two isolating incidences - I had mixed feelings about this resort. First off- it was beautiful!!! When we got here, the two women at the front desk were warm and friendly with great recommendations. The breakfast restaurant service was phenomenal! The facilities were clean. The rooms were big and everything was spotless! Gym was wonderful. Can’t say enough great things about the facility and people. The two areas that need improvement- (1). Room cleaning service. Our room wasn’t cleaned except for a change in sheets. Other than that- nothing was done. (2). Check out- we got called at 11:59 informing us it’s time to leave. I asked for 30 min more and was called immediately after it was time. I mentioned it to the receptionist at checkout and she was really annoyed and clearly lacked the understanding of just being polite. I travel a LOT and wasn’t expecting her lack of professionalism. So excellent place, gorgeous facilities, welcoming staff and I HIGHLY recommend. Those two incidences that I mentioned are annoying outliers but all in all incredible stay.
• Michael (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely amazing, from the architecture to the rooms everything was perfect. Went to the steakhouse on the property for dinner and was nothing but perfection. Room was very spacious and had a peaceful view of the golf course! Would recommend this location for anyone wanting a upscale stay. Will be going again in the future!
• ChiTravel84 (8/5): Would return with a few caveats! - Very beautiful grounds, large spacious rooms, excellent amenities and athletic center. Close enough to a few different areas with restaurants, shops, and stores but far enough away you still feel like it's a private oasis. The staff we encountered were all very welcoming including the security gate agents. Would definitely stay here again if we are guaranteed a mountain view room and not golf course view (see below). Very smart room feature that electronically allows you indicate privacy or housekeeping is welcome which every hotel should have my opinion. The cons: housekeeping was hit and miss even when tipping each day. Sometimes we'd get new water, coffee, and tea replenished, and other days nothing. The outdoor pool definitely did not feel heated (very cold) and it was a topic of conversation among guests and residents on how cold the water was. Our view the first few nights was of the golf course (nothing to look at, blocked by trees) and a super bright spotlight outside the patio door, a oid room 223. We were eventually offered a new room across the hall on the mountain view (west facing) side and it was astronomically better.
• David (10/5): Exceptional - The view from our room was spectacular. The property itself is gorgeous, the restaurant, however, needs some work in the kitchen. The food was not up to par, especially for the price.
• adrianea576 (10/5): Above and Beyond - My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, and it was wonderful. While the room was spacious and comfortable, what was amazing was the customer friendly experience. In particular, I needed a microwave each night for a few minutes to heat a compress for medical reasons and Patty (head of guest services) arranged to have the microwave that the staff used for their lunches to be placed in our room for our entire stay, free of charge. It was extremely considerate and generous of her. We look forward to staying there again.
• Jay (10/5): - The whole layout was gorgeous - landscaping, architecture, etc. The rooms were large and clean, the food was excellent, and the surroundings were fantastic!
• Maria (10/5): - Beautiful facilities. Close to everything . The staff was friendly and accommodating.
