Guest Reviews
- Rodney (2/5): Never staying there again. - Location and price The building was Old and in need of repairs.
The room was Dirty - the bottom of my feet were black after walking barefoot in the room for a few minutes.
The bed felt like a box spring with no mattress. Seriously you could feel the springs.
- Shane (5/5): Great value for the facility and proximity to where I need to be while there. - The check in staff are always friendly and accommodating. The room rates are always perfect! The location is great to where I need to be while in Puyallup. The bathroom was dirty. The spill guard didn't work on the tub, water got on the floor and upon cleaning it up, the towel came up black from behind the toilet. When I mentioned this upon checkout, it was almost like an inconvenience. The mattress was also lumpy and not comfortable...probably at the end of it's lifespan.

- Ben (3/5): - The rooms were pretty decent for the value. The hundred dollar deposit is kind of a pain.I would almost rather do it a regular hotel way. When my deposit got put back in my account. It was short about fifteen dollars. I called to see what was going on.And I was told that there was something on a linen but was never told exactly what it was. However, the bath mat towel when we arrived had a black mark on it and we just used it as it is on the floor and as a bath mat. Most likely, I am being charged for that. As nothing else stands out, that could have anything on it. A pretty ridiculous to take money out of my pocket. And not tell me why I was never informed.I had to call multiple members to find out why I was short money. Then, to be told it was because of a linen thing, and being charged fifteen dollars for a towel that costs probably half of that. Also the door in the entry of the room you have to really slam and push it.Because the door is coming away from the door jam.
- Donald (4/5): Don’t stay here! - Good location and value. Nearby guests caused hours of disruption requiring police intervention., intervention that lasted hours two doors down from us. Not the properties fault but I was unable to contact staff. When addressed with management, I was treaded rudely and very unprofessionally. I was eventually given some cost compensation but the management never apologized for our missing a night of rest. Not our first stay here but definitely our last.
- maddox (9/5): -
- Lance (6/5): More than I really wanted to spend, but guess it's about what most people expect of that class. - none offered. Coffee good and kept hot all day. The office was open all night and that's good with well trained receptionists. They noticed my painful walk and made special dispensation to accommodate it. no breakfast.
- Donny (6/5): reasonable rates, confirmable bed - close to freeway below a hospital too many sirens, didn't get fresh towels
- Cheri (3/5): - Asked for ground floor was given top fllor, my husband and i are both in our 60’s so it is hard to climb stairs
- Robert (5/5): - Rooms were clean, staff friendly No room make up service, 3 days with the same towels. Noisy not just from traffic but from construction workers staying at hotel and sitting on tailgates drinking beer Friday and Saturday nights. No elevator. Pretty bare bones
- Carlos (8/5): Good value for what we needed (one night stay) closer to Mt. Rainer National Park - Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Exterior stairs appear to be leaning, exterior of building is worn.
- Jose (9/5): - I like how clean the room was. It looks new. The towels also look well washed. I like that it does not have any carpet. Usually carpets are source of dirt if not cleaned properly. Just the first impression. From outside, it does not reflect how clean the room and beds were.
- Merri (10/5): - Liked the room and the location, felt fresh. Nothing.
- Michael (7/5): - Customer service and room No breakfast
- Anne (8/5): Staff was great, especially when Booking.com screwed up -
- Edward (9/5): Pleasant stay for the value - The staff was courteous and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. N/A
- Ka-ren (10/5): -
- Abigirl (8/5): Good Accomodation for the price - Easy access to amenities Nothing
- Guest (10/5): -
- Mahria (4/5): -
- Sean (1/5): Very bad - The steps are failing they did not return my 100$ dollar deposit I was in the room less then 24 hours I’m very unhappy They didn’t give me my deposit back
- Eunice (10/5): -
- Frazier (9/5): Good place - It was clean and easy access right of hwy, no issues, all was good.. I really liked it had a small full kitchen. I would definitely stay again. There is traffic noise but it didn't bother me at all, I just consider it white noise..no issues.
- Bonny (7/5): -
- Reeves (10/5): - The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Check in was fast and the desk lady was beyond nice! Would definitely stay here again! Oh and the price, so reasonable!
- Aaron (9/5): - It was a very comfortable nights sleep. The one thing I didn't think about was the hi way being so close. It was a bit noisy.i like to sleep with the window open and I couldn't due to the noise level.
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Star (6/5): - It was spacious and the shower was alright. Looks clean. THE NOISE holy crap ALL NIGHT LONG ambulance after freaking ambulance. Heard it ALL NGHT LOOONG. it's on a busy road.
Had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. And because I'm stubborn dragged ALL my luggage at once up 3 flights. No elevator.... The refrigerator does not have a little freezer and the fridge kinda sucked at keeping my stuff cold. I had meds that needed to be refrigerated so was a little concerned.
- Diego (10/5): Perfect - Very clean and comfortable Ambulance noise around during the night
- Child (9/5): -
- Don (10/5): - Great very clean
- Scott (6/5): - They overcharged me $100 and they said it would go back in 7 days. Not ideal. Some people cannot afford to have a $100 charge over their heads for 7 days.
- sharon (8/5): - You get what you pay for. No housekeeping, breakfast or elevators. On a busy road by a hospital. Room was updated and clean. Place to stay if all you’re doing is sleeping there.
- Jenny (1/5): - I thought the value til the chick racked up $364 in charges on my debit. They overcharged me
- Steven (4/5): - Uneven outdoor steps to the upper levels.
Room floor uneven.
Freeway noise very loud.
- Elle (8/5): - Great water pressure, very clean.
- Davi (7/5): -
- Pat (6/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Joshua (1/5): Short - I ended up cancelling my room the first night, only having been checked in for a few hours. And I never received my refund for my 2nd night. I called and got another number to call etc No refund when canceling
- Terrence (6/5): Heh.. - Clean Poor location- too expensive for quality
- Kimberly (8/5): - Close enough to walk to the Fair and not have to pay extra for parking. The rooms look like they have all been uodated recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms are. The only issue i had was that the AC didnt seem to be working within a few min of our arrival as it was 74° in the room. I dis mention this to the ofice and was told to use the panel on the wall next to the TV which i did. The AC unit finally did come on once or twice for a few min each time but after we left and came back the temp was still 73°. Throughout the entire next day the room temperature never dropped below 73° when we went to bed that night. By that point we were leaving the next day but for someone who does not handle heat well at all it was extremely uncomfortable.
- Rene Sue (8/5): - We chose this location as we were attending a concert as part of the Puyallup fair. This was an excellent choice. Good price , free parking, walking distance to the fairgrounds as well as shopping and restaurants.
It is located on a major road traffic noise was noticable.
- Jillian (10/5): - Wonderful overnight stay for a concert at the fair! 5 minute walk across the street
- Sachi (8/5): - The hotel met our needs as a clean place to stop after a long day; the room had a desk for some work before heading out. wWe drove to a cute downtown for dinner. It’s close to a highway so some traffic noise.
- Lowell (8/5): - Highway noise was constantly audible, though not to a level to disrupt sleep. Door was missing secondary interior security latch.
- Mary (8/5): - The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice neighborhood.
- Igor (6/5): - STAFF WAS PLEASANT, HOTEL IS NEXT TO VERY NOISY ROAD. HOTEL ROOMS WAS CLEAN, ALL NECESSITIES INCLUDED. GREAT STUDY DESK, JUST VERY LOUD.
- Amy (9/5): - Cleanliness and the staff Traffic
- cory (8/5): -
- Katherine (2/5): - A part of the door fell off when we opened it.
- Edward (10/5): - The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my request .
- Daryl (5/5): - The thing I didn’t like was that we were close to hospitals so there were sirens going all night, as well as being right on the main road where all night traffic and big trucks going by were very disruptive to a good nights sleep.
- Yaitip (10/5): - Good ☺️
- Jenn (8/5): Convenience is key - Close to fairgrounds Very loud road and train traffic, pillows are too thick
- Heidi (8/5): - We left our room at 9:30 am requesting clean towels after 2 full days. We returned at 8 pm without towels.
- Tiffany (8/5): - This was a great location to stay for the state fair, only about a 5 min walk. Area is safe and secure. It is located along side the freeway so it was quite noisy from traffic for most of the night. We had an issue with our room keys at the beginning but the staff were very quick to get us into our room. We were on the second floor so we could hear noise from around us since its an older building, not sound proof. There is no breakfast but they do offer tea and coffee and have 2 vending machines inside and 1 pop machine outside
- Christie (6/5): - I enjoyed the close proximity to the fair, which is why I chose to stay there. The room though for the most part was clean, had dirty floors. I was on the bottom floor and the other occupants were very loud.
- Alexander (6/5): Rodeo - The rooms are nice for the price you get, but can get really noisy at night. Loud cars just to be aware of.
- Tara (6/5): Decent for what we needed, one over night stay, quick walk to venue and close to freeway. - Good location, we came for a concert at the fair grounds. We walked there within 10 mins. The doors and windows didn’t seem well insulated and sealed. We are near a hospital and could hear all the traffic, sirens and noise very clearly.
- Olivia (1/5): -
- Myrriah (10/5): - Super close to fair grounds. Was a bit noisy as its right off a freeway but they offer free earplugs so wasnt an issue. Very clean and nice room. Would stay here again.
- Lorri (9/5): Stay for a concert at the Fair. - Convenient to Fair grounds Rooms smell badly of old cigarette smoke
- Irina (10/5): - Proximity to fairgrounds, free parking with stay.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Clean
- Matthew (9/5): -
- Kathy (8/5): -
- Orestes M (4/5): -
- Guest (3/5): - Door stuck, cracked wood trim, look like someone had broke into the room and maintenance just put a nail in it
- Nathan (6/5): - It was too noisy outside. Rooms need to have a little more sound proofing.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Very Clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - The room itself was fine. Small, but I didn't need anything bigger. Had the essentials. Things worked as expected, other than my door didn't close unless you slammed it, and housekeeping left it open one day. Fortunately, nothing was taken. The hotel looks nothing like the picture. It's old and kind of run-down. It's also right off a busy and loud road. The customer service was terrible, and the staff needs some massive training on the basics of dealing with people and problem-solving. I wouldn't stay here again because of my experience with the staff.
- Kris (4/5): -
- felipe (10/5): -
- Paula (6/5): - It was sufficient enough for 1 night
- Joanne (8/5): Puyallup - Nice room, good customer service but the street noise was very loud. Hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper.
- Amalendu (6/5): - Room has some flaws like some broken things but it’s clean, the tv works and the WiFi is good.
- Shana (6/5): Won't be back - I spent 5 nights there and the best thing was how close restaurants were. Target and Walmart were also close. The lack of an elevator was brutal, especially when my keycards would refuse to work, causing multiple unnecessary trips. The keycards and door locks are barely functional. The dog area was filled with rotting crab apples which meany there was a ton of bees in the area.
- Kierstin (2/5): - I had planned to stay multiple nights at the Basecamp hotel but right away I saw that the property does not look like how it was advertised in the app. The room was updated but the lock on the door was very loose. I didn’t feel safe staying there so I checked out right away. I still have not gotten any of the money spent on the room refunded.
- Andrea (1/5): Manager is rude “customer is not always right” - At first glance it was nice it had a mini kitchenette however we were just passing through on our way to Oregon and didn’t need a kitchenette. We had a late check in 11pm and were not offered a late checkout. When we checked into the room we got a DIRTY used room that had not been cleaned. We were offered another room and when we finally got into bed it was around 2am. The bed was sub-par and felt like motel 6 without the motel 6 price tag. In the morning when we took a shower the drain was so clogged that we had to shower ankle deep in dirty bath water that had black stuff bubbling up from the tub. The staff was okay but the manager of the property was rude and didn’t hold themselves accountable for anything on the contrary she gaslight us and tried to talk down the situation stating “I’m not sure what you expect.” She also basically told us we were incompetent and didn’t know how to use a tub. My partner is a contractor and mentioned that it was clogged and also probably broken.
- Alex (8/5): -
- Tejinderpal (1/5): Stay gud , I will give you five star Review, if you solve my problem , I really appreciate. - Actually they don't refund my hold money back, which they hold before give me keys, it's around $323.00, I also talk to motel manager , she said they release, check with your bank, and then I was check with my bank, go personally, and the bank said they don't receive any.money, it's problem fr9m motel side. So I was really disappointed, if you guys not resolve my matter. I have to go consumer.courr and also write some.bad reviews on your account. Hope you guys understand my problem. Thx
- Katherine (2/5): - Next to freeway and busy main road. Not too far from hospital. Heard fire trucks, ambulances and police sirens every ten minutes. The room was nice but outside looked dumpy. Staff was very pleasant.
- Dennis (6/5): good guy car show participant - there were no food option. no continental breakfast.
shower had black mold in shower near the ceiling
- Mike (10/5): - Close to the fairgrounds.
- Roy (9/5): Superb -
- David (1/5): Bad - Nothing We had to book a room in another motel because the desk clerk would not accommodate our request for a room with a two beds even though the room was available. There was a dispute as to the original description of the room online and when I involved booking.com, the desk clerk agreed to cancel the booking without penalty, but they never removed the charge like they agreed to in a three way call with booking.com and myself.
- Allen (7/5): Good room but price point with out side conditions wasn't to great - Rooms was good and front desk lady was very welcoming and friendly The outter stair way was dirty and falling apart
- stan (8/5): - easy to access, park and head out to local retail establishments...near the freeway for access to Mt. Rainier natl park and the fairgrounds.
- Richard (10/5): Nice place. I'll be back. - Close by thr fair grounds. Well taken care of. You could hear cars driving by.
- Deanna (8/5): Very good - It was a nice room with a clean bed. The room appeared to be clean. The floor was not clean under the beds. Lots of hair was not my color.
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Vera (10/5): -
- daniel (8/5): - Close to the hospital like we needed.
- Stephen (6/5): Long noisy night. - Room was ok but extremely noisy. Sounds like you are sleeping on the freeway. The other parts of our stay were ok.
- Jessica (8/5): - Needed to be cleaned w a little more care
- Falamoe (8/5): - Good location. Very clean area.
- Dennis (5/5): Passable - Traffic Noise
- Timothy (1/5): I won’t be staying here again - Proximity to the fairgrounds Trashy and rundown. I was charged two separate hundred dollar deposits. When I was informed there would only be one temporary hundred dollar deposit.
