- Koen (7/5): - Locatie, dichtbij treinstation. Ideaal voor reizen met de trein naar Londen en Oxford. Alles aanwezig bij het appartement en schoon. Het was super licht in de kamer (vitrage werkt niet naar behoren) en aan de straatkant echt veel geluidsoverlast. Met hulpmiddelen als oordopjes en slaapmasker ging het slapen redelijk. Ondanks dat de communicatie hierover goed was, kon er niets aan worden gedaan. Dat kan natuurlijk maar deze materialen op voorhand beschikbaar stellen (of bij mij achteraf vergoeden) was natuurlijk super geweest.

Although the flat looks our onto a busy street, it is very insulated and you do not hear much noise from the street. Sunlight comes into the flat early in spring and summer - it would be nice to have stronger blinds or curtains.

- Diana (7/5): - Beyond the terrible booking procedure and unheated arrival to a fridge apartment, everything was excellent. Perfectly well equipped, very clean. Appliances a bit old but who cares if they work well? It was great to have washing machine ONLY book this place of you have a good few more hours for complicated and time-consuming payment and registration procedures. Don't think you are done when booking took your card and confirmed your booking! You still need to provide your passport, payment details AGAIN, and only after they are in the office. So can take days. Also, apartment is unheated when you arrive. I was freezing for a day untill it finally got warm

As payment wasn't thru booking.com there was a problem getting paid in time to have access on first night. No reception at this apartment block - had to walk in the dark and rain to another venue. Lovely lady to help, but basically v stressful.
- Kumba (8/5): Nice stay all round and pretty good value for money - Well located and has everything that you need. Surprisingly quiet given the location; the room was at the back of the building so perhaps better than the front side. The snacks provided are also a nice touch, handy for while you’re getting settled. The staff I spoke to were also very helpful and polite which makes a massive difference. Noticeably draughty from the windows and the blinds don’t do enough for keeping in heat or blocking light. The bed could be more comfortable and was quite creaky. Otherwise, minor bits that would improve - check out time is pretty early compared to other places. The TV was also quite glitchy and buffered a lot.

- Gemma (8/5): Great location, would stay again but not in the height of summer - Great location, good sized property, access instructions were very clear Property was advertised as having aircon, this is why we picked it - we visited in the middle of the heatwave, no AC on so the flat was around 35 degrees when we first arrived. The AC limited the lowest temperature available (19) but the flat never actually reached this point. The lowest it managed to get down to was 23 and that was overnight, not ideal for when you’re trying to work from there during the day

- Maytham (5/5): Dont reserve it in summer 🔥🥵🔥 - Locaion,TV Subject: Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience – Strong Complaint I am writing to express my deep frustration and utter disappointment regarding my recent stay at your apartment. The experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to list the unacceptable issues we faced: 1. The bedroom was a complete disaster. The listing clearly stated a queen bed, yet we found two unstable single beds with a gap in between, which caused us physical pain and discomfort. The beds were not fixed in place and kept moving – totally unacceptable for any standard of accommodation. 2. The apartment’s location on the main street turned our stay into a traumatic memory. We could not sleep at all – noise began at 5 AM with delivery trucks and market chaos, and continued until 2 AM with drunk people and delivery drivers gathering under the building. The sound insulation was nonexistent. It was absolute hell. 3. There was no place to store our luggage after check-out. This is a basic service in most accommodations and the absence of it caused us great inconvenience. 4. We lost an entire day of rest due to a complete violation of our privacy. We were shocked and horrified when someone rang the bell twice, then knocked aggressively while we were sleeping, and moments later, the door was opened without permission by electricians. If it weren’t for the security chain, they would have walked right in. This is outrageous and completely disrespectful. We had absolutely no prior notice about this intrusion. 5. The extreme heat turned the apartment into a torture chamber. The place was unbearably hot. Instead of investing in proper portable air conditioners, we were given useless fans that did absolutely nothing. This shows a complete disregard for guest comfort and well-being. I swear I will never, ever repeat this experience with your property for the rest of my life. This stay was a total disaster, and I feel deeply wronged by what we went through.

- Gronchi (7/5): A central studio with some potential - I was travelling for work and needed a quiet and comfortable place to stay, which I found here. The studio was spacious and bright. The kitchenette was fully equipped to prepare a light lunch and all the appliances were working perfectly. The bathroom was clean and roomy. Cleanliness could be improved a bit. The smell in the studio was very unpleasant, and I had to keep all four windows open for the entire time of my stay. This was not a problem as the weather was very warm during the time I spent here, but in winter it might be a problem. The mattress of the bed was a bit uncomfortable, as I could feel some springs here and there. Perhaps, changing the mattresses with new ones would generally improve the guests' comfort. The rug in the living area of the studio needed a good wash.

I received an email “on the arrival day” asking us to “confirm” our booking by providing ID copies and paying deposit. Q1. Where was the link to pay deposit? Not mentioned. Q2. What method did the property want us to provide our ID copies? Not mentioned. Q3. Did any sentence in the email mention that you want us to send as an attachment / a reply to that email? NO. Q4. Did any sentence mention once the first requirement (ID copies) is received, the payment link would then be sent? NO. NOT CLEAR AT ALL. Would not book again.

- E (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect, very central to train station, buses, shops etc. Felt secure. Our room was to the back of the building so we had no street noise issues as some previous reviews have mentioned. I would happily stay here again if back in Reading. Having made the booking at late notice only the day before our stay the confirmation email received stated that a valid ID (Passport or UK Driving Licence only) is required before proceeding with the booking. As in my sister's case not everyone has either of these documents and although they did "allow the stay on this occasion" it was quite stressful considering the time frame and whether we would have to find another apartment. It is the first time in all my years with Booking.com that I have come accross this.
