Guest Reviews
- José (10/5): - Increíble!!!! 100%recomendable!!! Preciosa decoración. Cena excepcional.
- Sarah-Jane (10/5): - Beautiful tucked away setting - staff exceptional and food/wine simply the best! Relais Chateau you have hot competition!
- Christine (10/5): - Beautiful old manoir, carefully and tastefully restored and decorated. The owners and all the staff are warm and very welcoming, one feels very at home.
The food is amazing and creative.
In all, a wonderful , relaxing experience.
- Cyril (10/5): Un havre de tranquillité - Un havre de tranquillité. Un cocon de confort. Un accueil adorable. Un détour à faire !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent sccueil, grand confort, parfaitement calme, très bonne cuisine (un peu trop abondante!) a prix raisonnable.
- M (10/5): - Peaceful and serene, away from everything, you are surrounded by fantastic nature, purest air, best food and wines of the region. The property is intimate and quiet. Hotel rooms are clean and stylishly decorated with the newest amenities.
- Bruce (10/5): Just the best - Handsome facilities, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, great country setting and 4 delightful children. A family business that offers an excellent inn with all the right amenities.
- Johnny (10/5): A real find - A beautifully restored set of buildings in an out-of-the way location. Hugues, Camille and their staff give such a warm welcome, their innate warmth and interest in their guests strikingly unusual.
A really lovely, enhancing experience (and the dinners are good too!).
- Omar (10/5): Stay there. You'll be glad you did - Great place
- Pearl (10/5): - This was a very lovely place to stay! The owners are 100% engaged and involved. A most delightful family that welcomes and appreciates their guest. I was also surprised to have the most delicious creative healthy meals here. What a treat!
- Mark (10/5): Personal service and excellent food - Beautiful hotel with very personal hands on service from the owners, who clearly love their hotel. As an added bonus, an excellent dinner prepared by a very talented young chef
- Don (10/5): An absolute gem! - Great for a short break or as pit stop when travelling north or south, which was our experience. The prix fixe set dinner menu was a wonderful tasting experience from a very talented young chef. I have seen some moans about this 'no choice' set up, but we were invited to register dietary needs and allergies in advance if this was an issue, so any needs would have been accommodated. We likened it to attending a dinner party at friends or a tasting menu in a high end restaurant, you just eat what you are given! We did and loved every mouthful. Can't wait for the chef to produce a cook book so we can try some of his ideas at home. The spa was perfectly adequate and a nice feature for what is really a high end B&B, (breakfast is at extra cost, so really it's a B+B), although we didn't try any treatments, the amenity with sauna, steam room (they call it a hammam, as is their way in France), and a relaxation area for 4 people was a welcome way to relax before dinner after a 7 hour drive.
- John (10/5): Wonderful friendly experience! - It was a wonderful experience. Everything was first-rate and our hosts were so friendly and helpful. Right from the start, we were told to make ourselves at home and we quickly felt we were. We ate breakfast and a couple dinners at the manor house and it was superb. We would most definitely return.
- David (10/5): Wonderful stay - We received a wonderful welcome from Camille and Huges, who also contacted us in advance to ensure everything was OK. They did everything possible to make a wonderful stay. They have their own restaurant but you should be aware that it is a set menu so do check with them to ensure you are happy with the selection as they can make 'changes'.
They are lovely people and I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
- christine (6/5): - Chambre jolie pour la deco mais pas fonctionnelle : peu de place pour ranger les vetements.
Jardin avec grande pelouse ideale pour le pt dej dehors et les bains de soleil.
- Steven (10/5): Perfect stay at Manoir de Surville - Perfect stay at Manoir de Surville. Overnight stay, lovely hotel run by attentive couple. Excellent service and food.
- Tom (10/5): Loved it! - Wonderful country Inn The owners were very friendly and made us a great breakfast.
The hotel is away from things so it is nice and quiet. We used this a position to visit Rouen, Giverny and L Andelys. Easy access to the highway. Highly recommend Manoir De Surville.
Also they can make some great recommendations on places to eat.
- Tom (10/5): Wonderful stay - We were heading to Paris and wanted to visit both Rouen and Giverny. The hotel was convenient to both locations. Country hotel that was very peaceful and well appointed. We loved it.
The owners were very friendly and made some excellent recommendations for dinner.
- Colette (10/5): Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! - Our two night stay at Manoir de Surville was exceptional! The building has been lovingly restored by the two owners Camille & Hugues and is absolutely gorgeous.
We stayed in a Cocoon room right at the top of the building, the bed was perhaps the most comfortable I have ever slept in and there was a lovely bath in the room too - if this isn't your type of thing make sure you stay in Classic room. It goes without saying the whole place is absolutely immaculate inside and out. The garden is vast and there are deck chairs and places of places to sit outside.
Throughout our stay we felt very welcome from using the communal living room to relaxing in the wonderful spa area.
There is a small restaurant where you must book in advance but it is so worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there, it was relaxing and was so yummy! Our hosts were more than happy to suggest day trips, places to visit and great places to eat.
The hotel would be perfect for a short stop over on your way to a final destination in France as it's under 3 hours to Calais or also just a great relaxing place to stay on a road-trip holiday.
We cannot wait to visit again next year!
