- Scott (10/5): This is my go to place in Wilmington, 2 years in a row. - Very peaceful place back from the road a bit. Super comfortable beds and pillows, and we had a nice suite with kitchen. Great stay! Their door code instructions need updating as some doors have a different kind of lock and the instructions are not for that type of lock. I was able to reach someone, who called back after I left a message. But that uneasy feeling after travelling 6 hours, and not being able to get into the room, is something I do not need.

- Mike (6/5): Okayest place if you’re not picky. - Nice redo of an old place. Keyless. No banter with staff. Taking a shower was a challenge, tight space. Stove top burner didn’t work. No stove. Didn’t know we needed keurick coffee pods. Pillows were like pancakes. Requests for more pillows took several hours to get. Need clothes hooks on both sides of beds.
- Nancie (10/5): Highly recommend. - Owners/staff were awesome - lots of info ahead of time, readily available when the code for our room didn't work (it had worked previously, but the door had become jammed somehow). The room was amazing and the location fantastic for skiing at Whiteface.
- Jan (7/5): Very nice, clean and comfortable facility. - Really enjoyed the room and shower. The no-contact arrival and departure worked pretty well. Overall, we were very happy with the unit. No silverware for eating or stirring coffee. Ran out of coffee after the 2nd day and couldn't get any for two days. One of the TV controls didn't work at all and the other would not allow for volume control to turn it down or mute.

- David (10/5): A cozy, family-run gem with great beds and unbeatable access to Whiteface Mountain. - The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the location is perfect for skiing Whiteface Mountain. The family owners were so friendly and responsive throughout our stay. Nothing comes to mind - everything met our expectations.

- La (10/5): - The kitchen is tidy, and it's really convenient and secure to find parking in the lot.
- Neil (6/5): - Nice room in a great location for us, however it’s a remote service check-in and the instructions were incorrect. The key pad code requires a check mark, not a (+) or a (-) as the instructions stated. Fortunately we were able to call and reach them to get the correction. That is risky given the remoteness of Wilmington which has spotty cell service. Also there was 2 outdoor lights outside our door not working during our stay.

- Michael (10/5): A spotless, modern place with outstanding service that truly cares for its guests. - The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. It feels like it was built recently and everything looks fresh and modern, both inside and out. The check-in process is fully automated — you receive your code the day before — and it worked smoothly for us. Just one tip: the cellular reception in the area is a bit spotty, so it’s best to have your code saved offline. But the real reason this place deserves the highest rating is not just how it looks, but how it’s run and how issues are handled. During our stay we had two problems come up, and both were solved with exceptional care and speed. On our last day, our lock suddenly stopped recognizing our code and we couldn’t get back in. I called the number from the communications email and Erica responded right away. Within minutes she texted me to say Keith was on his way — and sure enough, he arrived even earlier than promised. He quickly fixed the lock and provided us with a new code, all with a smile. Later, one of the toilets got clogged. Once again, Keith came by promptly and resolved it professionally without any hassle. Both times, we were left genuinely impressed not just by the quick response, but by the kindness and professionalism of the people helping us. It made us feel taken care of, and that’s something you don’t always get when traveling. If I had one small suggestion, it would be this: the booking site doesn’t mention that the 3-bedroom house has two washrooms, and it would be nice to have photos of the specific house you’re reserving. But honestly, this is just a detail — overall, our experience was wonderful.

About 15 minutes to the main town.

I was originally supposed to stay at the Point Au Roche Lodge but Priceline double booked it. The company was able to put me up at this location an hour away. They did try to up charge me since they were putting me in a suite but when I objected they dropped the issue.

My only complaint is that like many places they now have a two night minimum stay. Many people are simply passing through and need a place or only have one night that they can stay. Ver prompt response when we had issues with the TV in our room although unable to fix offered us to move to another room and when we declined that offered us 20% off our stay.

- Baris (6/5): - It was a last minute stay for hockey. The price of course reflected the price of the area not the quality of the place. Room is very small no place to hang anything. So if you got wet jackets and stuff no luck of getting dried. The shower is very small and bathroom has real no place to put things. Have to be going in and out of your bag. Unless you got a movie network you would not be able to watch any tv. It’s all by movie network providers.

- Michelle (10/5): - Newly renovated and just what we needed. We stayed in a king suite on an end. Living area: The couch was comfy and perfectly placed to watch the large screen tv. The small retro-themed fridge/freezer combo was cute. Though a stove and Kurig were available we didn’t use either. Of note, if one wanted to use the Kurig, they need to bring the fixings, including pods. I appreciate there being dual gargage and recycling The dining table w/4 chairs was also just right. There are baseboards and a wall unit for heating, ensuring warm coziness. From an ergonomic perspective, a lamp or some kind of additional lighting is needed in the living area, as well as some hooks to hang coats. We appreciated the boot tray given the snowy weather. Bedroom: the dresser is gigantic, so handy. Trendy lamps on both nightstands were convenient; another on the dresser would be good b/c the suite is dark in general. Bed and bedding were good. The room, and suite, is spacious. Bathroom: I would recommend adding another set of hooks closer to the shower. The towels provided were high quality and perhaps new. Huge bathroom. The pine and flooring are beautiful. The suite was immaculately clean. We heard maintenance shoveling our stairs first thing in the morning, which was thoughtful and kind. I enjoyed check in and check out via text and had no need for in-person assistance but knew that if I needed something, help was just a text away. We loved this place and will absolutely return!

- Les (10/5): - Very very clean, is the first thing we noticed as we walked in. We had a small kitchen area very useful for some meals. Fridge, there was Keurig coffee maker with some pods. We could use a kettle but there wasn’t one. Also would suggest to add a wine opener! We had a great stay, in town there is small convenience store at the gas station with basic necessities, very close to Whiteface Mountain and with some 20 min drive to Lake Placid! - melanie958 (10/5): Perfect for Whiteface Adventures - The Wolfjaw Lodge is a great option for adventurers looking to explore the Adirondacks. It is essentially at the base of Whiteface Mountain, making it the perfect starting point for biking / hiking, and only about a 20 minute drive from Lake Placid. The rooms themselves are newly updated, clean, and quaint. The owners (Yuri and Jess) are very responsive and willing to help as required.

- shannonmA3515YO (10/5): Highly recommend! - Cozy easy access to whiteface mountain nestled in Wilmington, NY. Contactless check-in and out with code key was a bonus! The room was clean and updated. The communication was top notch, highly recommend! Quiet while we were there & front door parking.
- Suzanne (8/5): Gorgeous little place with a lot going for it, but bring your own pillows, pots, and cutlery. - The unit is really cozy and lovely. The perfect blend of woods lodge and modernity. Lots of space, updated appliances, really nice style. Great facilities on the property as well - BBQ area, bean bag toss game, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. While one of the mattresses was new and comfortable- the other was old and springy. They only gave one really flat pillow per person (and when the pillows are so old and flat, you absolutely need two per person). There were no extra pillows around. Everyone of us woke up after a rough night sleep with sore necks. The kitchen has really new and very cute appliances, as well as some dishes (4 bowls, plates, glasses, and two mugs), but no cutlery. There was a coffee maker and even pods for it, but no pot or kettle to boil water for tea. There was a toaster, and even a hot pot, but there were no pots at all to make anything on the two burner stove top. I emailed asking for a pot or kettle to boil water, and never received a response.
- Daniel (8/5): - Wolfjaw is always an amazing stay and never had any issues in the past, stayed over 5 times and will continue regardless. Was a tad disappointed with this particular unit, the Alpine Suite, the screen netting was broken or missing in numerous windows so flies had an easy time coming in. Toilet paper roll had all but 7 squares left and no replacement. And the corners along the floors were rather dusty. The AC was working but the room was quite stuffy. Not sure whats up with this unit, all the others never had an issue.

- Kelley (8/5): Cute, clean, convenient little motel - Nice find! Stayed here because our usual place was booked, and it turned out to be great, Simple, clean, comfy room, everything we needed for a one night stay. I'd stay here again.

- Jennifer (10/5): Hidden Gem - We had a great time with our family. Our 19-year-old was in love with the fact that the stay was equipped with an Xbox. Had a yoga can of feel which I love. It would have been an added bonus if you could have a recycling bin and a place to hang your bath towel. Wewentdown thestreet and jumped off the rocks with others!
- juliadS5351MC (10/5): Hip and Cozy Comfort in the Adirondacks! - Hip and cozy luxury in the Adirondacks near Whiteface Mountain. Rustic and beautiful. Rooms are new with stylish appointments. Very comfortable beds and soft sheets. Easy contactless check-in/check-out. It's in the heart of Wilmington. Will definitely be back during winter since it's so close to skiing at Whiteface!

- Karen (10/5): - This is a perfect option if you just need a place to lay your head down at night with shower amenities. Two queen beds and a quiet, peaceful area. The drive into Lake Placid is an easy and picturesque 15 minutes away! I’d like to suggest screens on front window, as we enjoy fresh mountain air, without letting flies in! Easy self check-in and check-out. We enjoyed our 4 night stay!

- Michelle (8/5): Overall Beautiful - The stay was overall amazing. Beautiful room, great amenities, and easy access to room. There were one or two things that disappointed me with the cleanliness. Though it was overall very clean, one of the white towels had a brown smudge on it and the coffee pot was not cleaned. We get in late and only stayed one night, so we did not have time to notify them (I'm sure they would rectify the issues).
- Bill (8/5): - The room was good, smaller than expected, based on the pictures. Obviously newly renovated and in a good clean condition. The lack of onsite staff was a little annoying, sonce my wife and i had driven 5 hours and couldn't get in until our appointed time. It would have been nice to check in a little early if the room was available. If you are looking to do the tourist spots this is a nice central area.

- Deborah (8/5): Could have been great, but... - The facility was updated and clean. The suite seemed fabulous... until our.power went out (tripped breaker, possibly from.an.ancient wimdow/wall air conditioner) and there was no on-site staff to deal with it. The owner had to send one of her renters to fix it (not any type of on-call maintenance person) which took a bit of time and led to a late bedtime for us..I expected to.be offered a later check out, but was not. Also, if a suite with kitchen facilities.is rented, I expect actual dishes and flatware, not random cups/dishes that looked like they hadn't been washed, and supplemented by paper plates and a box of.mixed plastic flatware.

- Miriam (10/5): Clean and Completely Remodeled - This was a lovely place to stay while in the Adirondacks. It has been completely updated. It is VERY clean and has all the necessities. Dishes, dish soap, and paper towels in the kitchenette. We were very pleasantly surprised by how great this was. There was no staff on site so that was confusing at first because I missed the email with check in instructions but I called the number they provided and someone answered and helped us immediately. We will stay here again.

- anabV7047AH (8/5): Lovely rustic vibe - The room was very nice and had a great layout. It had a nook where you could keep your bags etc so they didn't take up more space. The tv had an insane amount of variety. It was very clean and comfy and there was a small fridge too. Be aware that there is no one from staff on site and more like an Air B&B but very responsive if you text them off site.
