Guest Reviews
- Shawna (7/5): We have stayed here many times and always have the best time. This time was different, the waitresses were rude -
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Carol-Anne (10/5): Perfect! We’ll be back! - First, Ed, I believe is his name, from the front desk was an absolute dream, made check in so easy! Location was also wonderful. I love that they have a bar/restaurant on the property so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. We will definitely be back! No complaints!
- Tiffani (10/5): - This place always rules!
- Cheryl (1/5): Wanderloo is NOT a place I would recommend very disappointed. - Nothing No housekeeping. No one in office to assist you until after noon. We had to empty our own trash go to office when someone arrived there to request more bags and towels. Was told they do not have housekeeping everyday. The cabin is right next to a busy road very noisy. We had to leave a day early due to a family emergency it was 11:00 Thursday morning there was no one in office or anywhere to be found to inform them we had to leave. There were only 3 coffee pods in room for two people for 5 days good thing we brought our own. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We have been to Eureka on our motorcycle several times this is the worst place we have stayed. Have several friends that ride motorcycles to that area will definitely tell them not to stay there.
- Darichelle (7/5): Great location with amazing staff - Close to Main St and Trolley stop. Staff was amazing; very friendly and helpful. Restaurant/bar was nice with outside seating. Rooms are an older building with some improvements, but still very vintage. Did not realize was a "pet friendly" place when we booked. We love critters, but carpet is not a good idea for a pet friendly lodge. Our room had a smell and had to leave the door open while we were there.
- Robinson (3/5): - Fire pit and bar No one at desk for check in or out but stated we should have come and asked for black rag that wasn't in room to wash face and charged 20$ damages.
- John (2/5): Terrible value terrible everything. - location No room service for my 3 day stay internet was not user friendly loud noises from above room will never stay there agai it was a bad value for the price super 8 would of been a better option I stay at eureka springs once a year this was the worst place ever.
- Stick (10/5): Nice stay with everything you need to relax and have fun. - Amazing staff. Amazing room. Everything was awesome!
- Guest (7/5): -
- Edward (9/5): Great staff, great room, great location. - It was clean and simple. The band was louder than I would like. The network connection also had issues
- Penelope (10/5): -
- Steve (10/5): -
- Michael (4/5): Not our fave. - Room was larger than most. Shower backed up, someone opened our door and came in while we were laying down, dirty floors no sound barriers.
- Chris (9/5): -
- Andrea (9/5): -
- Matt (1/5): Worst place I have ever stayed in my life the park bench would have had been a better atmosphere - Property is overall taken care of The beds need new mattress I don’t think they have replaced them ever not comfortable at all my back still hurts. This is a rainbow hotel if you know what I mean so if that’s not your preference don’t stay here and since myself and my family aren’t we were treated very rudely by one of the staff we were the only ones that had to follow rules since we are not like the rest of them.Nit picked our every move we made I guess trying to get rid of us .
- John (7/5): -
- Steve (9/5): -
- Meagan (7/5): -
- Charles (10/5): -
- Erika (9/5): Love the place overall; we always look forward to staying here - Like the location, nice rooms, friendly staff, plus good food on site. Water pressure was a little bit of a let down for the downstairs rooms, we’ve stayed here before on the upstairs level and had no issues there.
- Randi (10/5): Had a great time! Loved the band and waitress - Clean and so accommodating Nothing
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Farrah (8/5): Good stay for the money! - Location and the bar on site.
- Rubby (1/5): -
- Suzan (5/5): The Wanderoo is quirky, and imperfect, but there is a very friendly, inclusive vibe and great food that adds comfort and - The staff is friendly. My room was comfortable and clean. There’s a restaurant and bar with good food and live music on the premises. My bathroom water pressure was very poor. My sink water came out in a dribble. My shower water was 4 weak streams of water.
Also, the terrain the property sits on is rocky, uneven, and sloped making walking from the restaurant to my room treacherous, bc it’s poorly lit.
- Camcacci (8/5): - Such a great vibe. Good music and staff was cool. No extra lock on door. Could hear neighbors in next room easily.
- Beth (8/5): -
- Donald (3/5): I would not return. -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): - Great place to stay with a fun vibe. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. Would recommend as an affordable, convenient option.
- Gary (6/5): -
- Cynthia (10/5): Expectations met! Thanks for keeping the pool open! - Open minded, lovely!!
- Jacob (10/5): It was a peaceful and friendly getaway - Atmosphere, restaurant, and cabin was great. Staff was super great too Nothing
- Dennis (3/5): - No parking had to park at a hotel across the road and walk to our room. Bad smell in the room. Floor had many soft spots. No room service
- Ellen (10/5): - This property is so sub-standard. The buildings should be razed they are so old. Paint is peeling inside & outside, wood trim should be replaced, old door locks are only 1/2 removed. It’s a dump. Long term renters doing brake jobs on vehicle in parking lot. What a mess. It was clean inside room.
- Christie (10/5): - Loved the live entertainment and restaurant/bar on site.
- Dennis (10/5): - Nice setting.
- Salty old chap (10/5): -
- Kersting (10/5): Very satisfied customer! - I chose this place purely based on price because it was very affordable. When I arrived I didn't realize that I was so early (1:00) and check-in wasn't until 3:00. They went ahead and allowed me to check-in anyway. Then I was informed that I was upgraded to a king room for the same price as the queen. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom immaculate. Small fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room as well as a decent sized TV. Small table and chairs on my patio which overlooked a beautiful pool, complete with numerous deck chairs and tables. The place came alive in the evening as they have a bar and restaurant on the property and were featuring a live band! This will definitely be my go to spot for any future visits to Eureka Springs! If I were to try to think of any complaint it could only be that there are no food/drink options available before the bar opens at 3:00 however there is a convenience store right next door so that wasn't really a problem? There's also a wonderful breakfast restaurant directly across the street.
- Taylor (10/5): -
- Shawna (10/5): - I have stayed here many times and always love the staff and clean rooms. Not to mention great food, drinks and entertainment
- Catherine (10/5): - I enjoyed my 2-night stay here in one of the cabins. The staff in the office and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The lodge is right off of 62, so it was really convenient to get in and out of, and there's a gas station and convenience store right next door. I ate at the onsite restaurant my first night there and had the pickle pizza, which had house-made pickles. It was sooo good. I highly recommend the lodge and restaurant.
- melanie (10/5): No Need to Leave - I've been vacationing at the Wanderoo Lodge since '21. Between the pool, Gravel Bar and Grill and the fire pit, you really don't need to go anywhere! It's always a fun time at the Wanderoo.
- Ronald (10/5): - Perfect place to listen to live music and stay the night.
- Madison (10/5): -
- Channel (5/5): - The pool and bar Rude staff, mid rooms, tough beds
- Ramirez (7/5): -
- Laura (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay.
- W (10/5): Week in Eureka Springs - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large very clean. Would stay again.
- Samuel (10/5): - Great place to stay overnight or for a couple days. Great location to nearby restaurants/shops and close to downtown.
- Ersilia (7/5): - The atmosphere was really nice, it makes our stay valuable.
We really enjoy the live music and the fireplace.
We really appreciate the location. It is very easy to reach downtown by walking. Otherwise, the bus stop is very close to the facility The shower is a challenge for tall people.
- Stephanie (10/5): - As always the staff made our stay great! Comfortable rooms, great bar/restaurant on property. One of our favorite places to stay!
- Christene (6/5): -
- Erin (10/5): Quiet, clean and comfy! - Great stay! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and larger than an average hotel room. We will definitely be back.
- Pamela (6/5): - The floor of my room was very sticky.
They are renovating, which is needed.
music is GREAT.
- JOHN (10/5): Good place to stay. - Nice stay and many services available.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clint (4/5): Eat at the restaurant, it was excellent! - I loved the bar/restaurant staff, and the pool area. The room was not the best. The ac leaked into the room dripping all night, carpet was wet from the leak, room smelled like mold, there is an inch gap at the bottom of the door letting all things inside including the heat. The mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable. It was sort of disappointing because we had stayed when it was the Joy Motel and it was atrocious, we had heard it had a remodel and looked forward to staying. We left a night early because it was so uncomfortable and smelled badly.
- Brooke (9/5): This place is perfect for a few days getaway. - The location was perfect for the 2 days I stayed. The restaurant saved us for dinner as we didn't realize how early places closed. The veggie pizza was amazing! The outdoor chairs at night were perfect to watch the fire flies and storm roll in. I will absolutely be back!
- Brianna (6/5): - The rates at pretty high for what you get. The pool is a small concrete pit. The rooms are halfway remodeled, so the bathroom is straight out of the 70s. We found hair in the shower, found a ladybug on the pillow as soon as we checked in. A bug in the bathroom. I get it’s Arkansas in the summer, but come on. The stairs and deck are shoddy. For $200 a night it’s just not worth it! There are cheaper places to stay that are nicer. The only perk is there is a great restaurant/bar next door with live music.
- Colleen (10/5): - We had the best time!! Live music great bar with food! Very friendly people! We loved it!!
- Barbara (8/5): - Nice friendly clean place . Restaurant and bar right there which were great . I’d give it 5 stars except the air conditioning in the room rattled and was loud every time it came on . It was a bit pricey but compared to other lodges in the area it was reasonably priced . Really liked it .
- Fowler (8/5): Anniversary trip!/ - Quiet, easy access for handicapped except for front steps to the office. Someone else had to check us in. Staff was amazing, it was clean and really a good place to stay. Office not accessible for mobility issues folks.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quick trip but was very happy to find this place. It's a cool spot with a fun atmosphere
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thompson (1/5): Not what I expected from the online posting. - Absolutely nothing. Everything but the shower. Shower had amazing pressure but the sink was a trickle. Tiles were falling off the shower base. The shelfs in the bathroom couldn’t hold weight and fell off the wall. There were potential bed bugs because both of us woke up with bites, the second night I’m pretty sure I got bit by some venomous spider that resides in the window they don’t clean and are infested. They have a bar but it doesn’t stay open all day so if you’re a late or early riser there is no chance of even visiting it. Bed was not able to support any kinda weight and folded in on itself. We took the booking for the pool and once we got there decided not to even attempt to swim because of all the negative reviews about it on their actual website. The room smelled terrible of mold the second we walked into it. The ac unit kept cutting off randomly in the middle of the night and causing the room to be unbearable. Going back to the bar, between the music and the constant traffic it’s impossible to sleep. I didn’t even waste my time making any complaints because of the no refunds clause we signed off on when we booked the room, then finding out there was a additional 100 hold on the room that they temporarily slide out of your account with no notice which really impacts someone’s bank account when they are trying to enjoy vacation/honeymoon. I could have honestly have just picked a cheaper room somewhere else and had way better experiences and services. I hope for anyone else’s sake they actually service the rooms instead of letting people keep getting vacuumed of their funds for what is worth even a quarter of what they paid for it. It is affecting people’s memories they are trying to build.
- Mark (8/5): Great bar & restaurant, nice pool, dated rooms. - Good location. Highlights for our group were the pool and their Gravel Bar & Restaurant which had great food, drinks, and excellent service. Our rooms were definitely in need of an update. Poor lighting. But, since we just needed a place to sleep and shower.... the "amenities" mentioned in the likes ended up outweighing the rooms shortcomings.
FYI - if you have trouble doing stairs, request a room in their 200 numbers....
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (10/5): - Very quirky, cool, old style motel...very Eureka Springs. The staff was great, the bar was fun and had great food. The rooms would be much better if they didn't have carpet in them, it made the rooms a little musty Overall I would stay there again.
- Gregory-angell (9/5): Superb - Inclusive. Clean. Comfortable. Affordable.
- Sdtoday2023 (10/5): I always enjoy my stays st Wonderloo. -
- Chris (9/5): Fun place to stay with the best folks working there! - Fun retro spot! Great pool! Cool fire pit! Super friendly staff! Justin and Catherine were awesome as well as the other members we encountered!
- Lindsay (8/5): Overall it was good. There pillows were flat, bed was a little too hard, and the blankets were thin. - Loved the location. Very peaceful. I didn’t like that we had no where to park when coming back from dinner because the restaurant had a band. We had to park at a different location.
- Priestess (6/5): I like the location and the live music. - I like the decor. It rained so we didn't get to use the pool. I like the old style hotel. The bath needs a new tub and the drains need cleaned.
- Kessler (10/5): It was overall a great stay, we will be back. - Location was great! Loved the amenities and entertainment. Lightning in room, fan in bathroom, breakfast.
- James (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good. Small bathroom, too soft mattress, soiled carpet
- Eric (10/5): - Great mid century modern motel experience!
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Rae (3/5): Poor -
- Nikki (9/5): Superb - The atmosphere was laid back & friendly. We loved the cottage because our dog was a little away from others in case he barked. Door on cottage was old and hard to open/shut. Could use some work but once again it's old and that added character too.
- Aideen (7/5): Nice hotel, close to town - Lovely friendly staff, great location which is an easy to walk into town(only one moderate hill). Good bar on site. Mattresses and pillows weren’t the best quality. The mattress dipped the middle when there are two people in the bed making it hard to sleep comfortably. I understand it’s a pet friendly hotel which I appreciate and love but the room smelled strongly of urine. Carpet in a pet friendly hotel wasn’t the greatest plan in my opinion.
- Annie (9/5): I enjoyed staying there rather than paying more ti stay at Best Western. - It has a nice bar and is close to other attractions. The shower didn’t work. It went from hot to cold without warning.
- Daniel (6/5): We'd stay again. - Location was excellent. Bar and grille was good. We stayed for the entertainment and sat with Leroy. Longtime ES resident. Bathroom was updated. Nice fridge and microwave. Bed wasn't bad and we stayed 3 nights. Drain in shower was horribly slow. Lighting in room was poor. Water pressure was about a trickle in sink. The room locking device was a bit weird to lock. Carpet was dirty. Rm 211.
- Jesica (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stephanie (7/5): Give it a chance - Great location in town, cute restaurant and bar with great live music. Room was spacious, King size bed, clean linens, back door to open air balcony. No smoke smell and very pet friendly, you can even have them at the patio bar. Definitely would come eat and listen again. The walls are thin, I could hear the neighbors most of the evening then others in the early in the am, the water pressure in the shower in our room would not cut a hair washing day for me, totally fine for a rinse off but that also would take a bit. The parking lot is tight! It isn't a complete no on staying here again, I would encourage others to give it a shot, they have been doing a really great job at remodeling the last few years. PLUS Eureka is just magic, you'll be outside most of the time anyway.
- Stacey (7/5): Good - Location Bed was uncomfortable
- Cayla (1/5): Didn’t stay, room smelled to musty - Bar is close It was musty smelling.
- John (9/5): Superb - Great live music and local beers.
- Catherine (8/5): - The vibe of the motel was unique, funky and welcoming. Felt completely safe with my two children. We arrived right after a bunch of rain and some minor flooding. The manager (owner?) made it right for us and made sure our carpet was clean.
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - When we come to eureka springs, this is the place we stay at. Rooms are clean & are roomy, with micowave,& ice box! We have a good time at the gravel bar on the place, which have good food & cold refreshment. Entertainment is great, too! Pets are welcome.
- Blake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (10/5): It was a peaceful relaxing stay. - The staff was absolutely fantastic and made our stay wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful. We also loved that it was near everything we wanted to go to! We loved that there was a restaurant and bar with live music!
- Victoria (8/5): Fun spot! - Great little place to stay. We enjoyed it!
- Isabel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandi (10/5): Love the vibe here!! - Super pet friendly with a cozy atmosphere. Very nice room for the price and location was awesome! I'll definitely stay here again. I had a pet with me and produced alot of trash this trip. I didnt like that i couldnt easily locate dumpsters or lg trash bins and had to store trash in my room. It made it smelly.
I wish they had a hot tub!
- Brenda (8/5): - The inside was nice & bed was comfortable
- Jan (10/5): Love Wanderoo!!!! Stay there as often as we can when we are in Eureka Springs!!! - Clean, comfortable, wonderful staff!! Convenient for us to everywhere we wanted to go!!! Would recommend highly!! Parking is tight when there’s an event at the bar but we were able to park right by our room!
