Guest Reviews
- Doris (3/5): I was promised compensation but never heard from them again - Tv didn’t work no hot water some outlets didn’t work toilet needed to be flushed 3 times. Beds were terrible
- Martin (9/5): . - . .
- Daniel F (9/5): We’ve been going there for a decade and usually are very satisfied! - Great location! Great off season prices!
- Brooke (1/5): Not worth the affordable hotel room price. - Nothing. Upon arrival on Friday night, there were a number of things that were an issue. The curtains in the front window were ripped, the floor was incredibly sticky, and you could not walk on it with bare feet, the ceiling in the shower was full of black mold, the piping clover framed art on the wall was covered in black mold spores, the toilet paper roll in the bathroom was left from the last person who was there, and the pillows and sheets smelled like somebody had slept on them and they were not washed in between. That night, around 1 AM we heard someone jiggle our door knob aggressively to try to enter in, and then when we woke up in the morning, we had noticed that someone had ripped open our screen in the bathroom. On our way out to give them the key, I stopped and expressed all of my concerns. The hotel staff at the front desk acted as if they’ve never heard this before and they also told me that there are no criminals in this area and it was hard for her to believe something like that had happened. I also told her I was really grossed out by the painting, and that I had breathing issues at night, and she was very dismissive and didn’t really have a response for me.

- Erin (2/5): Beautiful location, terrible room - Property is in a beautiful part of town and directly across from spot to pick up the free shuttle to get into town. This is just an old property. I wish I could say in a wonderful, vintage way but no. The rooms are so run down and when I came back at night to go to bed, my door would not unlock and thankfully a window was open and I had to climb in through the window!! Then when showering in the old shower the next AM, the drain was clogged and water was up to my ankles. Would never recommend this place to anyone, especially a solo traveler.

- Keith (5/5): Was very surprised the beds were that bad. Never seen so much caulking on a bathtub floor. - Beds were like laying on springs. Awful
Deff needs updating

- Shane (10/5): - It was nice and clean and safe.
- Keith (6/5): - Decent room for the price.
- Dalia (5/5): Short - Location was why we selected this property. Room advertised with indoor pool but the pool was not on the property where our room was located. We were roomed down the street away from the main property with the amenities. Advertisement was misleading. Cockroaches were found in the bathroom as well.
- paul (10/5): - the privacy of being across the street, and could walk over to the pool or beach whenever
- Tammy (10/5): - This is an older property but well kept. The staff was warm, friendly, and very accommodating. If you are looking for beachfront accommodations, you will be very pleased with the location. Blue Sea is conveniently located right on the North Turo / Provincetown border.
- Andrew (8/5): - See you in 2026!
- Robyn (4/5): - Room needs refresh. Screens had gaps so couldn’t keep windows open. Carpets dirty. Kitchen faucet dripped constantly. Side of fridge all rusty.
- Paul (8/5): - Nice budget Motor Inn. Nice free shuttle bus. Lovely spot on the beach.
- Jason (8/5): -
- Johan (8/5): - Nice place over all for the price but could be updated

- Litwin (9/5): -
- Bridget (2/5): - The room was smelly and bath tub had dirt in it and beds were uncomfortable and ceiling was blotched reports … the room smelled horrible and horrible view.
- Robert (8/5): Very nice - Location was fine....wasn't aware of breakfast Need more wastebaskets.....
- Kenneth (6/5): - There was water on the floor in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchenette area was leaking.
- Ken (8/5): - Beautiful beach front, nice pool friendly staff. We are retired and booked our trip the second week of September and the weather was perfect.
- Denis (8/5): - Great location. Online pictures are old and do not present current conditions or views of the rooms being sold
- keri (10/5): - Room was clean and amenities were great
- Lori (3/5): Very disappointed in Blue Sea; subpar beds, towels, hot tub. - We had dune view rooms- across the street from the beach- that was unknown to us until we arrived. Traffic noice terrible. Hot tub was a joke- the jets didn’t work, it was cold- it’s essentially a backyard above ground hot tub. So disappointing. Regular coffee not provided first day; pot was chipped. Our friend was bitten on face during our first night there while sleeping- believe from a spider. Beds extremely hard. Bath towels provided were size of hand towels and very rough. Hair dryer only blew cold air. Would not recommend!
- Emmett (10/5): - Great property. Right on beach. Shamnon in front office was awesome.
- Edward (10/5): - Location Nothing
- Lynne (8/5): - We needed a “quick, inexpensive overnight stay and Blue Sea fit the bill. It was very clean and convenient to downtown P’Town. Liked the complimentary shuttle too!
- Barbou (10/5): Une parenthèse entre le calme de la mer et le bouillonnement de Provincetown - L’emplacement super pour de grandes ballades sur la plage. L’amabilité de la réceptionniste.
- Debra (2/5): - Room very old. Toilet overflowing. Shower not working well, couldn't turn it off. Mold and mildew smell to room.
- Melanie (10/5): Lovely older motel with BEACH - Great vintage motel, clean comfortable with great beach access.
- Rock ( Alan) (6/5): - The room is very spacious. Opens right onto the beach. The bedroom was separate; which was nice. Great new air conditioners in each room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans...dishes and utensils. The parking is very tight. Overall I can see the improvements to the rooms. However they are a little pricey for the current conditions; when I inquired about Summer rental.
- ronald (6/5): - We were told after checking in and going to our room that there was no Wi-Fi. The hot tub didn’t work, when we asked why, the owner said “ it’s on its last legs. No ice bucket, when I asked, was told there was one in the room. Went back and checked… none. Ironing board but no iron. Great location, reasonable price.
- Dana (3/5): Hopefully No Dealings with Shannon - Check in with Luba at the front desk was great! The room was charming...cozy and nice interior design. Amazing little bathroom with vintage tiles. Decent sized frig. Great location with lovely long sandy walk to the beach in front and just a stone's throw from border of Provincetown. At checkout, I had food poisoning feeling deathly sick. Housekeeper told me she would give me more time. Called front desk to confirm and Shannon, the most horrible customer service person I have ever encountered as a hotel guest, insisted I needed to check out immediately, despite housekeeping not even being half way done with other rooms and me offering to pay whatever was necessary for a late checkout. Shannon did not offer any concern, any suggestions, nothing at all, only insisting I leave. She called me back 5 minutes later and said she had called her boss and was calling the police if I did not "vacate immediately!" I told her asap! I was already packed and headed into the shower feeling barely better but functional. When I finally went to hand in my key, Shannon was there at the front desk with a nasty smirk on her face. I told her that I had never experienced anything like this before. She told me I could complain to the boss who was sitting just across from her. He said..."I was told you REFUSED to leave!" At that point I was beyond incredulous and asked Shannon "Did I SAY I refused to leave...." As she started choking on her words, the police officer walked in!!!!! Obviously he was annoyed at being called out for such a ridiculous scenario. Check out was at 11am and I was handing in my key at 12:40. Unbelievable!!!! The absolute WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel, except for maybe the fleabag, sleazy motel I had to check into late one night in the middle of nowhere driving cross-country. But at least they were nice!!!!
- Rebecca (8/5): - The free shuttle to Provincetown stops right in front and runs often, which is wonderful, since parking is difficult and costs. The hotel is clean and quaint. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The bathroom in our unit needed some updates.
- Bob (4/5): Not value for money - Not offered breakfast Clean not good
- Greg (8/5): - I knew there was ocean access but it exceeded expectations … I sat out and read for over an hour … and totally unwoubd
- Brotemarkle (9/5): -
- Ronald (8/5): - Windows were hard to open Room 118 toilet seat needs to be fixed or replaced
- Laurie (6/5): - It’s a nice place for the price, off season price. It’s an old motel, very loud AC, have to use it as most rooms are on parking lot level, I don’t feel safe leaving them open especially at night. Few outlets in my room, eventually I was shown the power strip hiding below the bed. I asked for a different room when the desk clerk kept arguing with me about there being electricity in my room even with me telling her that I could not find them!!!! Not what I wanted to hear after a long hot day. She said I’d have to pay more for another room but then decided to get off her chair and show me the power strip.
This power strip was iffy, had to keep it in a specific position to make it work. The only other outlet visible had the fridge and tv using it.
It’s an ok place for one night for the price.
- Nancy (8/5): - Very convenient location. Very clean and comfortable
Strong smell of cleaning product.
Nice having outdoor porch space
Overall, nice place to stay but a bit expensive.
Carpet kind of old. Maybe that’s what held the cleaning product smell.
- Glenn (8/5): - Staff was excellent always helpful and courteous. Views were beautiful!
- STEVEN (6/5): - Units are very dated and not up to snuff. Clogged drains, no electric outlets for chargers. Staff did not take care of problems and moved us to another room.
- Laura (10/5): - Ocean Beach was so beautiful.
Pool and jacuzzi.
- Toksoy (3/5): Not clean and comfortable but location is good - The only thing we likesd was the location Room and shower was not clean. Most of the sockets didn't work.We could only use one socket to charge our phone.
- Laurie (10/5): - Beautiful view from balcony.
- Deborah (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff!
I love the retro vibe and having our own firepit and beach!
- Claudia (6/5): - Needs updating, towel rack broken, around tub discolored and nasty looking. Outdoor porch needs painted and flooring very old. The beds and linens were new and comfortable.
- kaiulani (6/5): Cleanus - We got there early i asked the lady at the front desk if our room was ready she said that she would have to check. After checking with the cleaning staff. She told me to come back in 1 hour. So we came back in 2 hours. We went to the bathroom you could see hair all over the place. I usually undress the bed to check to make sure sheet are clean and these sheet had poop stains on them from a previous guest. So I took them off and laid them to the side. The floor in the bathroomWhen you stepped on it.You felt like you were going to fall through. But for the price you get and where it's located right off the waterfront. It is a good location for that.
- Gregory (10/5): - A great place to stay near the beach if you would like to spend time in P-Town but don't want to pay P-Town prices. Shannon at reception and Maria in housekeeping were particularly warm and inviting. We'll return next Summer!
- anna (10/5): - I like that it was on a private beach and it has an indoor pool and hot tub. Fire pit lounge chairs near the beach. Beautiful view of P-Town plus
It's close to P-Town The hot tub wasn't working when I went to the pool. There was a phone & I could hv called the front desk to hv it resolved, I chose to just take a swim in the pool which was very nice.
- Teresa (2/5): - We have stayed at this motel for many years, I can honestly say, most likely, never again. The woman behind the counter, Shannon, was rude, unhelpful, and treated us like we were an inconvenience she could not be bothered with. Every response from her was a negative one. If that wasn't enough, when we got into our room there was a fun trash barrel on the porch, a dirty sock from the previous people, only two towels and an almost empty roll of toilet paper with no back up. I have never been so dissatisfied and disappointed in a motel stay. Waste of our $800, that's for sure!!
- Florence (8/5): Très bonne adresse - Motel proche de l’océan
Proche de Provincetown
Navette gratuite
- Jörg (8/5): -
- PAUL (10/5): Super clean! - Very easy check-in. Spotlessly clean. Short drive (10 mins) to heart of Commercial St in P-town. Or take the free shuttle at the front door.
- Ashley (6/5): - Rooms def need updated. Sink ran all night. Staff was not super friendly when we arrived prior to check in and stated there were no restrooms after a 2.5 hour drive. However, the afternoon staff at check in was great and she was so friendly!
- Cynthia (10/5): - Bus to Provincetown right out side the door! Clean rooms !
- Trudy (10/5): - Waterfront and reasonable
- Patrick (6/5): - Ok place
- Matthieu (9/5): - - Au bord de la plage
- Très bien équipé
- Personnel très aimable - Vétusté
- Rapport qualité/prix
- Geoffrey (7/5): We had a pleasant and restful stay during P-town’s busy Carnival festival week - Clean room, friendly staff, very comfortable bed, and excellent access to free shuttle bus Old and run down
- Brittany (2/5): - Property was across from the actual hotel, stairs leading to the second floor were exposed plywood and falling apart. Room was extremely dirty, looks like under the beds were never vacuumed. Balcony and bathroom windows were left unlocked upon arrival.
- Nick (8/5): - Great for the price.
- Nancy E. (10/5): - View pool hot tub
- Kevin (10/5): Blue Sea Motor Inn is the Best - Shannon & the other staff are so friendly and helpful. The bus service to P'town is excellent and timely, and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. They have an indoor pool, easy bayside access, and washing machines and dryers. Reasonably priced. I hope to stay there again.
- Robert (6/5): OK, for the beach but..... - I like this place in the past due to its location. However, it seems to have gone downhill a bit since the last time I stayed here. I realize it's a beach motel, and it's not supposed to be anything extravagant, but they really need to catch up to the times. The electrical needs to be upgraded. And all the rooms need to be refurbished.
- Carla (7/5): -
- stephanie (10/5): Will probably stay here for the rest of my life - What an amazing value for the location! We loved the proximity to town and the fact that the hotel was sitting on the beach.
- Jennifer (10/5): I heart Ptown - Perfect spot for a couple nights. Loved being right on the beach (bring shoes bc it’s very rocky) and the free bus ride in and out of town was super convenient.
- barbara (8/5): - Liked that it had a kitchen. The access to the bay was great. It was a bit rundown but we were hardly in the room. Free shuttle was very handy to get around the area. Great location!
- Paulo (6/5): - I usually do not put any negative reviews and usually give a great review. I just wanted to be honest. I’ll start off saying the location of the hotel was perfect. Close to the beach, located right across the street from the ferry (bus) that takes you right into the Provincetown harbor…… The staff member that check me in and out was awesome!! She was great. Very helpful and friendly!
The negatives about the hotel wasn’t that it was extremely outdated or that in needed a major renovation which it definitely did. I would live with that if it wasn’t so dirty. The rooms smelled very bad, and were not cleaned. The pool had peeling paint everywhere included inside the pool where you could see paint chips everywhere. The hot tub smelled and was dirty water. 2 out of the 3 windows in room were broken and one wasn’t even closing. The bathrooms were disgusting. The beds were very uncomfortable wish i could give it a better review but I could not! I have to be honest I could not see myself ever going back.
- JACK (8/5): - Large Room w nearly full kitchen. Q-mattresses bit lumpy but OK for sleeping. 200' away is stop for free bus to Provincetown, each 1/2 hour. Long walk on Blue Sea's beach to the water, but a gorgeous beach and fine bay swimming. Pool is 45'x24' by 9'deepEnd. Good for laps. 81degWaterTemp. Parking easy. WIFI Good. Swell hot water for showers. Plenty of towels. Wait staff pleasant.
- Evalyn (8/5): - Love the convenience and location to beach and Provincetown! The owners/staff are always so welcoming and accommodating! Although the rooms are dated, it’s quaint and comfortable! My go-to resort!
- Michelle (8/5): - Great location Facilities were old and not particularly comfortable
- Paul (10/5): -
