She had a great breakfast every morning for all the guests! My room had a very comfortable king bed. Plenty of parking. Located about 10 miles south of Talkeetna. Loved it. I will go back. Denali brewing company is 1 mile south.

• Richard (10/5): - Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins is a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable lodge just outside the fun town of Talkeetna. Dora and Toma are wonderful hosts and the setting that overlooked a large pond reminded us of the amazing natural world Alaska offers. Our stay was all too brief and it is worth noting that Tom can organize an extensive fishing expedition of one is so inclined. Dora is an accomplished artist and her works were a delightful enhancement to the lodge.

• David (8/5): Small, quaint but very comfortable. Pleasant hosts - We took a gamble with staying in a small owner managed property. We were not disappointed. We were met by Tom Redman, the owner, who showed us around and welcomed us to use any of the property amenities. There were only a limited number of guest rooms (4) but we felt welcome in Tom and Dora's "home". It is tucked off the beaten path and you have about a 15 minute driver into Talkeetna but we were comfortable with the location. Our only issue was with the pleasant weather we enjoyed, the room was terribly hot. We had a ceiling fan but it provided limited comfort. I'm not sure of the lodge had central air conditioning. If it did, it wasn't turned on. We had a difficult time sleeping with the room so hot. The room had private bath, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and TV so there was no communal sharing of these things. We had our private accommodations even though Tom and Dora were sharing "their house". Breakfast service was eliminated during COVID and had not been restored. There was a breakfast sandwich in the refrigerator of our room but we chose just to get on the road in the morning and find a full breakfast elsewhere.

The bathroom was spacious EXCEPT for the shower which was way too small. Finally, I was not aware when I made the reservation that all of the guest rooms were on the upper floor. I have limited mobility which made going up and down the stairs difficult. I also would have liked a regular breakfast instead of one in the refrigerator that you microwaved.

We loved it so much we hope to have something similar in Alaska when we retire just because of them! We loved the options they had for extra activities! We will be back!

• Jerry (8/5): Beautiful Place but more like a B&B - Beautiful place to stay. My wife and I stayed in the Trophy Suite. Very well decorated if you like stuffed animals hence the name of the suite, with lots of room. Nice bathroom. We never met the owners but were able to find our room from the note on the door. I did not have a problem with that but my wife thought it was strange. The only thing I did not like is the suite if off of the Dining room and kitchen of the house. It is only separated by a pair of Glass French doors. Its impossible to see through the doors, but we were able to hear other guest making coffee and putting dishes in the sink, and a few times other guest laughing while watching TV. After 10:00pm we did not hear anything else. I think its more like a B&B and if your ok with that this is a perfect place to stay if not you might not want the Trophy Suite.
• Dwayne (10/5): One of the great views of all time. - The view of Denali and Mt. Foraker from the Yukon Room is breathtaking. This was a great place to stay. It is 13 miles into Talkeetna, but the Denali Brewing Company and taproom is about a mile away. You can't beat this place. Hot tub view is also spectacular.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was very nice and quiet and out of the way in the woods. We liked the hot tub with the views of the distant mountains. It was a shame that the 3 or the 4 blinds were in disrepair and could have been replaced for less than the cost of one night stay. Breakfast was advertised but was only old sandwiches that host suggested that we microwave. Owner/host was stoic but efficient.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The lodge is in a beautiful location and the lodge itself is beautiful. We stayed upstairs in the king bed and the view of Denali was beautiful. There is a hot tub on the deck that you have the backdrop of Denali. They even put food in the frig for us for breakfast which was nice since we had a fishing trip and we had to checkout at 5:15 am. The owner was very nice and showed us our room and like I said it was a beautiful room. The one thing to know is that this lodge also does fishing trips. The only negative thing is that you can’t check in until after 4 pm and you checkout by 1030 am. Otherwise this is a perfect hideaway when in talkeetna, it takes about 12 min to get to downtown.

It felt more like sharing a house which I'm not a fan of and made us feel uncomfortable. The view is amazing if it's not a rainy or cloudy day to see the mountains. The hot tub is very nice to enjoy the view and relax. We did have a dietary issue and told them a week ahead of time and they didn't have the correct items for breakfast even tough we told them. That was a major disappointment. I texted the owners the night we arrived to let them know and didn't hear back until after 9:00AM the following day, by then we had already left for our next destination.

• Staci (8/5): The Views! - Such a beautiful view from their deck!!! On a clear day, you can see Mt. McKinley. The couple who own the lodge are so kind, and they really are very helpful! Because of covid, they couldn't do their regular breakfast service, but they did make sure ton pack a daily breakfast for all the guests which was very appreciated. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the area (not just at the lodge, but all over the town) so make sure to bring spray. The lodge is about 15 minutes from town in a very quiet rural area. Very nice stay.

We didn't plan too much time for Talkeetna. But if you do, I would recommend visiting her gallery in town. We also had the best breakfast there. So Tasty. Totally recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a place in Talkeetna.

Tom was very accommodating of our vegetarian diet. Delicious breakfast. Enjoyed a beer at Denali Brewing Co. down the road.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Booked a cabin since I have a service dog for blood sugar detection. When we showed up at the door, after a 10 mile taxi ride from town, I was told to leave with my dog. The gentleman told me a story about people with fake service dogs not being allowed to stay in his house, even though he had a noisy little dog in the main house with him. When I told him I had booked a cabin, not a room in the main house, he angrily showed me to a cabin at the foot of the driveway. We were never told about breakfast or coffee. A negative experience overall.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a BEAUTIFUL property with views of Denali when not obscured by smoke from the fires in AK or clouds. The view of the property from the outside deck, to the ponds below, is so peaceful. Flowers everywhere. Our room had a refrigerator freezer, microwave. Breakfast was prepared by a cook. The owner has his own float plane and takes people on hunting and fishing trips. Perfect place to go back to fish- for us. We’re not hunters. We were there only overnight. Wish we could have stayed longer

We came back at 5 and hosts were not there, the room to our cabin was locked and we had to run around trying to figure out how to get in. The cabin was beautiful and remote from main house. For that reason, we were happy. Breakfast is at 8am and since we left early, we did not have breakfast and no other accommodation was offered when we told the host we ll be leaving before 8am.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - This place is great! We had the BEST view of Denali and didn’t have to leave our room to see the northern lights. We came here because they had a hot tub and it was nice except the first night it was set to 100* and it burnt our skin. Something must be wrong with the temperature gage. The second night it was wonderful. We are both gluten free (one celiac disease and one with sensitivities) and on top of that one of us is vegitarian. Anita did her very best to cook is a breakfast that we could eat. She even went and bought gluten-free bread! She didn’t really understand our allergy but asked us questions constantly to make sure she was preparing the food so that we could eat it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Talkeetna (we stayed in the Denali room)

Host was very personable and friendly, but seemed to be more interested in following standard procedures then accommodating guests as individuals.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay! - We stayed two nights in the Denali View room. Tom, the owner could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with him and his staff. The room does offer an amazing view of Denali, when she chooses to show herself. The room itself was a little on the small size but had everything you need. Shower was small but the shower head was great and the bathroom itself was a good size. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Location was perfect - quiet, scenic and about a 10-15 minute drive into Talkeetna.
• Keely (10/5): - The owner, staff and accommodations were awesome! We grilled out and used their hot tub facilities which just added to our trip. Even though it was only one night - it was night of sheer outdoors comfort.They went out of their way to make sure we had everything that we needed. Super people!

• Mariel (6/5): - The lodge was ok when it comes to cleanliness The room has no enough light. Toilet commode was broke. After flushing, the water just runs that we hv to lift the lid and manually press the knob inside the tank to stop the the continuos water flow. Bring mosquito repellant. Since the location is inside the woods. Most importantly no WiFi connection in the room. You hv to physically go to the owners house so you can connect.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place! - This B&B was clean, beautiful, fresh, nicely appointed, and perfectly located. The views were amazing, the beds were comfy, and the hosts met every need. The rooms had everything one could need, and we will be back!
• Melissa (10/5): Beautiful view of Mt. McKinley - This B&B is amazing, They have cabins on the property and rooms available in their home. They have a beautiful deck that overlooks two ponds that are often visited by Moose and water fowl, on a nice day you can see Mt. McKinley (Denali) they have a hot tub, sauna and a fire pit on the deck. The host are great and they even provided us with a package of Smores to cook over the fire pit. Our room was very comfortable that had a microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. In the morning they serve a nice hot breakfast family style.

• Sherief (10/5): Simply, a great lodge but distant - It has got all you expect from a lodge to start off your expedition but you gotta mind it’s distance from the town of Talkeetna which is about 12 miles away! If that’s not a concern, then you are in the best place to stay in! I used it before and after my mountain expedition and in love with it
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Was a little surprised that the lodge was actually a B&B. Everything was comfortably appointed. Would have enjoyed a feather pillow option . The breakfast served was wonderful however I would have left off some of the ingredients rather than wasting food . If someone has any type of food issues they should share it Upon arrival.
• Nell (8/5): Very comfortable lodge, 10 miles from Talkeetna - Everything gets 5 stars except for the overall rating, which gets 4. Why? The fine print is very unwelcoming. The cancellation policy is impossible. Late check in (after 10 p.m.) is $100 per room, etc. YIKES!!! It's a beautiful lodge, the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is nice, a very good breakfast is included, but the fine print is NOT very welcoming!

• Steve (10/5): Very nice place! - I stayed in the "Trappers Cabin"...it was a great little spot to crash for two nights. Tom and his wife were very nice and welcoming. I never really went into the main building aside to check in and they greeted me at the door...nor did I spend much time on the property. Great location if you need a halfway point between Anchorage and Denali...about a mile off of Hwy 3...about 10 miles to downtown Talkeetna. It's small, which was fine for just me or if I'd brought my wife. But definitely not enough space for three. Bed was very comfortable. Needs to add wifi to cabin...you had to go to main building to access...my only suggestion. Thanks Tom....see you next time.
