• Swiss Barbarian (9/5): Sehr gutes Preis-leistungsverhältnis - Die Lage und der Preis sind super. Der Pool und die Gartenanlage sind absolut top gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und ich hatte effektiv die beste Käse-Omelette meines Lebens. Die Möbel, aber insbesondere die Klimaanlage und die Dusche sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Einen Duschkopf alle 3 Jahre zu erneuern sollte in jedem Ort möglich sein für die Hygiene. Aber man hat hier einen guten Preis/Leistungsmix, daher gilt es mit der Kritik zurück zu halten.

En wij hadden geen warm water. Voor een overnachting vlakbij de airport is het een prima lokatie, voor meerdere dagen durf ik niet te zeggen. De badkamer en geen water

Update the decor and paint does wonders. Need hot water. I know it’s hot there but you have only water like when you get out of a pool. Location was a little hard to find.

Pas très belle, dommage la salle de bain aussi serait un plus si elle était un peu refaite. Aucun savon fourni et pas flexible sur les annulations de vol.

The bedroom took forever to cool down, the bedroom was separate from the bathroom & shower, so you had to pass in front of an open door to shower or go to the bathroom, it was in great need of an update., in remote area.

Obwohl wir relativ spät angekommen sind, wurde extra das Licht am Pool länger für uns angelassen, sodass wir ihn noch nutzen konnten – ein wirklich toller Service. Auch ein sehr früher Check-out war problemlos möglich, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Leider etwas abgelegen, keine Restaurants oder Supermärkte in fußläufiger Umgebung

• James (8/5): Great value stay, nice rustic asthetic, but far from everything. - The staff were lovely, the premises was beautiful, everyone had their own little cottage with a patio out front. The pool is nice. There’s lots of foliage. The breakfast was good. There was only 1 single thin pillow. The air conditioning unit was small. The location is close to the airport but is not at all touristy. The hotel only takes cash.

You can hear the birds. It’s lovely Everything in the cottages are very old. There was no hot water, I couldn’t see myself properly in the bathroom mirror because it was very old. The AC was very loud. Missing a bit of love in the cottages

• Pearl Eseosa (7/5): Kurzer und praktischer Aufenthalt in Flughafennähe - Praktische Unterkunft in Flughafennähe mit leckerem Essen, nettem Personal und schönem Garten. Alles hat uns gut gefallen bis auf die Zimmer selber. Diese sind leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Ausstattung nicht sehr komfortabel oder einladend. Für den Preis aber in Ordnung.

Le propriétaire est très serviable, nous avons pu changé de date de reservation avec lui sans frais. Pas d’eau chaude mais ce n’est pas trop problématique car l'eau n’est pas si fraîche.

It felt super dilapidated and uncared for. The metal door to the room made it feel a bit like a prison. The chairs were all broken and the material ripped. Not great. Also the area is very run down. It’s good for a one night stay before an early night but not for much else

• Chris (10/5): Great German food at hotel restaurant and 20 min grab to airport - 20 min drive to airport. This was a great little hotel in the middle of an ugly city. Not much around the area but luckily the German food at the hotel restaurant was excellent so I just ate there on my overnight stay. I would stay there again No hot water but luckily the weather is really hot so it’s not really needed unless you have an early morning flight and need a shower

Kleine Bungalows mit tollem Pool in eine gepflegter Grünanlage. Super netter deutscher Besitzer mit leckerem unter anderem deutschen Essen. Klima etwas laut,aber es gibt ja Ohrstöpsel. Umgebung typisch Philippinen, man hat einen großen Einkaufscenter 5min zu Fuß und diverse typisch Philippinische Läden und Essensstände. Bad in die Jahre gekommen
• Joris (9/5): Fijn en goed onderhouden verblijf met vriendelijk personeel - Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Er was altijd iemand aanwezig om je vragen te beantwoorden. De accommodatie zelf was een erg goed onderhouden plek met een mooie tuin, waaraan allemaal leuke huisjes. Het restaurant, waar je kan ontbijten en avondeten was erg lekker en een goeie prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Ik kan deze accommodatie zeker aanraden voor 1/2 nachten of als je een nacht moet wachten op je volgende vlucht vanaf cebu airport. Op 10 minuten lopen zit een shopping mall en een 7eleven. Eigenlijk niks.

• Thomas (1/5): Terrible. Worst stay ever. Absolutely never going back and I wish people knew how bad the place is! - When I finally left that hotel. The three women working there were very rude. Always on their phones and refused to change my wet towels (which I ended up using for 4 days). Every-time I needed to refill my drinking water, they’d be so annoyed to help me. The room was filthy. The floor was so dirty and dusty. I check with my wet tissue. The sheets were never changed. Dustbin was never emptied throughout my stay. Mattress was black in colour. It was terrible. The pictures online were taken years ago and did not match the actual place. It was run down, dirty and extremely disappointing.

• Andreas (10/5): On a budget and for anybody that enjoys tranquility and nature, the best place to stay in the area of Cebu-City - Like a green paradise / oasis in an otherwise densely populated area. The owners ,Volker and Julia, clean their swimming pool daily and it is likely the cleanest and best maintained pool in the country. Incredible value for money!! there was nothing to complain about!

• Gintare (9/5): Superb - Good distance from the airport for a late night stay. Staff greeted us at 2am, so it is good to inform the hotel of your arrival time in advance. In the daytime, the place looks well kept. Breakfast was amazing, and only regret is we didn't have time to use that good-looking pool!

• Emily (7/5): Good stay near airport - We stayed at Lapu-Lapu cottages for 2 nights as a short stop between flights. The accommodation is only 15/20 minutes from the airport (with no traffic), and is tucked off the busy streets. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the pool area and surroundings of the cottages was lovely and peaceful and the restaurant had a good variety and served good food! We didn’t need to leave the property! The rooms are spacious and clean but very basic/old. There was a lingering smell of smoke in the room, however we got use to it after a while! Would still stay here again, just don’t expect luxury!

• Dominic (7/5): Good for a few nights and a swim. - A tranquil setting, nice pool and beautiful garden. The bungalows have seen there best days, and the smoke from the 90‘s still hangs in the rooms. A paint job and some simple new sideboards would get a long way.

• Paul (8/5): A great budget option near the airport - I stayed here on the way into Cebu and liked it so much this was my stay on the way out. It's a comfortable place to stay, away from the centre but close to the airport in a working class area of Cebu. Some people have referred to the local area being a bit "sketchy" but i went for a walk around and it felt perfectly safe and interesting. The staff were fine, the food and drink likewise and the gardens and pool area were great and as good as many more expensive hotels I've stayed in. If you want western style modern standards and posh facilities then maybe look elsewhere but for a cheap, clean and comfortable place for a day or two near the airport it's great. I'll definitely stay again on any trips through Cebu Nothing, it was fine.
