I was fortunate to have a bunk bed that wasnt squeaky, however there were other bunks beds in the room that were very squeaky and caused quite a bit ot annoyance too, maybe these bunk beds need to be checked and tighten?

• tien lam (8/5): Great place to stopover in Bari - Room is spacious, bed is quite comfy. Staff are very helpful with travel tips. The renovation work means unavoidable noise during the day, and traffic along the main road is rather noisy too at night so bring some ear plugs. Overall I wud stay if I’m ever go to Bari again

Breakfast was cereals, bread, coffee, tea, and one random fruit. There is no lounge, only an outside balcony. Personal locker is free but room is not lockable. Free parking on Sundays.

Solo deben mejorar el cierre de los lockers es un poco complicado poner el candado. Y las camas deberian estar numeradas para evitar confusiones. Cuando regrese en la noche una chica habia tomado la cama que yo habia elegido y no le importo que el locker tuviese mis cosas adentro. Ella puso sus cosas en otro locker y tomo mi cama. Yo tome otra cama disponible. Nada grave solo cosas a mejorar. La cama pudiese ser mas comoda. Pero en general me volveria a hospedar alli.

• Kelly (8/5): A great spot to explore Bari - The Olive Tree was a lovely spot to explore Bari and Puglia! The staff made me feel right at home and provided suggestions for restaurants, transportation, and spots to visit. I didn't make it to all of them, but the ones I did were great. Likewise, I took advantage of one of the day trips they offered (to Alberobello and Polignano a Mare) and it was fabulous! The location is close walking distance to both the old town of Bari and the Central train station (5-10 minutes to each), and the staff helped me out with the train schedules and routes as needed. The location makes it a quick, easy trip to the airport and other towns in the region. I stayed in a private room and it was GREAT for a hostel single- large, sunny, clean, and with access to the balcony. They do have VERY specific check-in hours during the winter, which is something to heed if you're headed there in the off-season. (I was aware before arriving, so I planned accordingly.) Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but was sufficient (cereals, breads, jams, coffee) and left me room to eat all of the delightful things Bari has to offer. The kitchen is the main common space, and proved to be a good place to meet other travelers staying the hostel.
• JINHEE (10/5): 친절함 - 프라이빗룸 숙박 예약했는데 일정상 체크인하고 씻고 그 날 당일 바로 떠났어요! 프라이빗룸 넓고 (캐리어 24인치 두 개 펴고도 자리 많이 남음) 깨끗해서 숙박 못한게 아쉽네요. 프라이빗룸도 화장실은 공용인데 깨끗해요. 그리고 한국인 직원분 있었고 친절해요 엘리베이터 잇어요(화물용)

They showed us some great places to eat in Old town and had a wonderful time. Hostel is clean, good amount of amenities and a nice little breakfast to start the day. Очень доброжелательный персонал, все подскажут и помогут. единственный минус - так как он находится на очень оживленной улице, то заснуть трудно из-за машин. И полотенца только за деньги (1,5 евро) и то они не всегда в наличии. Очень классный балкон с видом на улицу, на котором приятно посидеть и перекусить. До аэропорта можно доехать за 1 евро на автобусе № 16 от ж/д вокзала.
• Andrea (8/5): - Only a 9 min walk from Bari central station. The staff and owner David were extremely helpful/very knowledgeable of area. Great outside deck to have a lunch, coffee or just relax. Breakfast is very basic and could be better - yogurt or fruit perhaps? Would I stay there again - absolutely.

The place is spacious and spotless and well suited for the number of people it serves. David and his staff are amazing and suggestions for travel in and around Bari were right on. Be sure you save time to trek out to Matera and get direction to the 2€ focaccia... it will change your life. I loved Olive Tree so much

• Jessica (8/5): Great location close to central Station - Was in a 10-person room for 1 night and it was really hot during the night despite the aircon being on. Had 3 mosquito bites that night but it's summer so can't blame the hostel for that. 2 bathrooms (shower and toilet together) in total - very busy in the morning. Hostle charges 3€ for bag storage after check-out. Map is great.
• Hillary (10/5): Fantastic Hostel all around! - I had a truly lovely experience at Olive Tree! The staff and owner are all so kind, welcoming, and warm! It felt like I was staying with family or old friends. The location is great, close to Centrale station, walking distance to Old Town Bari, and in great proximity to many shops and markets. I was in Bari to find my ancestral ties and will be returning soon. There's no way I'll stay anywhere else than Olive Tree! I highly recommend it! Thank you so much David, Marco, and all other staff!!!
• Genevieve (8/5): Street noise, rest of the hostel is fine - Bari is a very congested city and the hostel is located outside a very loud street. Although the location is convenient and the premises is safe and clean, the noise from outside goes all night long so it's hard to sleep.
• Susan (10/5): A comfortable, friendly hostel - After a long day of travelling, I was greeted with a very friendly welcome by David, one of the staff at the Olive Tree. In fact, all of the staff were warm and helpful, taking the time to chat with guests but never neglecting their duties. The hostel is small, but spotlessly clean (I heard another guest commenting on how clean the bathrooms were, and I have to agree!), and I loved having a balcony attached to the room. Overall this was an unexpected delight and a great bargain!
• Sumanta (10/5): Great place to stay near Bari Centrale station - We stayed a night at the Olive Tree and really liked the place. Its close to the Centrale train station and also to the historic city. Our room was huge with a comfortable bed and a balcony, the shared bathrooms were large and clean, and we were free to use the kitchen any way we pleased. There were also sitting areas in the internal balcony. Louise and David were both very warm and welcoming and Louise also helped us out with our travel plans, in terms of places we could visit in Bari and how to get there. The Olive Tree also has a dedicated space for luggage storage, which one can use for a nominal fee of 3 Euros, irrespective of number of bags stored. The best part is that you can use the toilet, kitchen and the free wi-fi when you come back to collect the bags, even though you would have checked out in the morning itself. If there is one improvement area, its just that the breakfast is a bit too basic - just bread and jam/butter/nutella. It would be better to not offer breakfast at all or offer a slightly better spread. However, this was not really an issue - on the whole we were more than happy with the Olive Tree.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable Hostel in Bari - The Olive Tree is the perfect little hostel in Bari. The facilities were clean and put together. My only complaints are that there are only about 3 bathrooms for all the rooms. That means that at night they can be fully occupied when everyone comes back. Breakfast was decent but the kitchen can be crowded if everyone goes at once. However, overall the staff is wonderful and so helpful at this hostel!
