He was pretty rude from the start, and every question we asked was answered with a bad attitude. It made us feel uncomfortable and honestly not welcome at all. Not the kind of way you want to start your vacation. You have to know and being trained to work with tourists. If you don’t wanna deal with people on vacation, just stay home Just thought you should know. My wife and I are very frustrated by this treatment

No onsite gym, so the picture they post was very leading. Guests will need to go across street to Loews to use their gym instead. Staff not warm at all and appears sleepy.
• W7905JKmariaa (10/5): Great location, great staff - Hotel’s location is 5/5; right on Collins walking distance to the beach (they provide towels if needed). I did not use this service though it was advertised with a waiver received at check in. Hotel sits on top of a Joe and the Juice which was my go-to pick up breakfast the 3 days I was in town. I emailed the hotel to ask for accommodations since I was coming last minute (they only had ADA rooms on the website, those should truthfully be reserved for people with handicap needs), and Vincent accommodated immediately. He also accommodated an early check in as I flew in from the west coast. I fully appreciate both are contingent upon capacity, so I did get lucky in that regard. I really used the hotel to sleep and shower, but the location and services it provided for where it is located were great. Definitely recommend if one is in the area.

• Addictedtraveller70 (10/5): What a great experience - We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Hyatt Centric. We booked this at the very last minute after having an extremely bad experience at another hotel and checking of there earlier than we should have. We took a punt and thankfully we did as it was a breath of fresh air to stay there. The room we were given was very clean, neat and tidy. The staff we spoke to and interacted with were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It was very close to the beach and close to all other amenities. We had breakfast included and it was lovely to sit down and enjoy waited service. We would not hesitate in returning to the Hyatt Centric Miami.

• RetiredNavyNurse1998 (10/5): Great stay - My husband and I stayed at this hotel and we were very happy with our experience. The hotel property was very clean, and well maintained. Each staff member that we interacted with during our stay was very nice and friendly. They were even able to store our luggage after checkout because we weren’t due to be at our cruise terminal until a few hours later. The hotel is conveniently located across from the beach; you’re able to access the beach through the Loews Hotel across the street. The Hyatt Centric does not have its own gym, but you’re able to access the gym at the Loews Hotel. We didn’t have time to access the gym there, but were happy to have that option which, would be a reason for us staying at the Hyatt Centric again next time we’re down in South Beach. The hotel is conveniently located to CVS and Walgreens, which were great to shop at for last-minute cruise supplies. There are also many places to eat within walking distance, along with shopping in the shops at the Lincoln Mall (an outdoor mall). We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

• 586cheryli (4/5): Horrible Service for a Hyatt - Nice facility and location but food and service were horrible. I am a Globalist and booked this for my friend and daughter using a Guest of Honor award online. They did not feel like Guests of Honor. 1. Although I texted the hotel to add my friends name to the reservation - they didn't understand?! And she was unable to check in for hours till I called the hotel. They thought I wanted to add the actual Award to the reservation instead of a name... 2. There were 3 in the group and were told there was no upgrade AND they only had rooms with king beds so they all slept in one bed. 3. They were there for a concert and were told it would take 20 mins to get their car from the valet. It took over an hour and they were late to their show. 4. Breakfast took almost an hour as well. The place was crowded with one server and one cook (her first day on the job). My friend had once wedge potato that was black and rotten, when she bit into another wedge frozen water burst into her mouth - not a good experience. 5. The TV didn't work and they had to call maintenance Stay at the Regency instead.

Bed uncomfortable. Pool area completely neglected and sad. Staff is "okay." If you can get a deal and don't need anything fancy or even close to "nice" then this place is fine.

Very small room, no windows that can be opened in the room, couldnt get the complimentary bikes when we wanted to cause they were in use, breakfast personnal was very overwhelmed.

You'll be happy if you use the services, since you have to pay it anyway. Full breakfast, but it wasn't included. Parking is across the street in a public lot or else Valet parking for $45. You'll need to be ready to wait to get your car back, tho - 30-40 minutes.

We arranged the trip to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, and the staff did everything in their power to make our stay special. I'd like to share a special shout out to front guest rep Megan R, who not only satisfied our expectations, but surpassed them. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Centric SoBe for its location, value, quality, staff, and amenities.
