Robert (10/5): Un manoir victorien de 1860 super bien entretenu par des hôtes accueillants, bien situé pour un séjour mémorable. - Bien situé, à distance de marche du cœur de la ville. Les hôtes sont sympathiques et le manoir de 1860 est merveilleux. Leurs suggestions de restos nous ont bien orientés vers « Le comptoir Marcel ». Comme on devait partir très tôt, on n’a pas goûté au petit déjeuner que l’on dit « sublime ». Mais, ils nous ont préparé une belle boîte à déjeuner pour la route. On a eu même droit à un bon café espresso, merci Benjamin. Ce n’est que partie remise pour le déjeuner.

Belle sélection de fruits. On ne retrouve pas ce genre de petit déjeuner ailleurs. Plancher de la chambre un peu froid. Les croûtons du déjeuner un peu trop secs mais bons. On les aurait aimés un peu moins « croûtons » ou du pain de ménage. Remarque plutôt constructive.

Les délicieux petits déjeuners faits maison, la piscine invitante et la charmante cour arrière intime créent une atmosphère chaleureuse qui donne envie de prolonger le séjour. Les pièces et les salles de bain sont petites. Comme il s’agit d’une vieille maison, elles ont été construites de manière assez étroite.

Breakfast was absolutely incredible- fresh squeezed orange juice, crusty bread and jams/preserves, main entree which included a big portion of fresh exotic and local fruit. Nice to have individual tables. Comfy bed, air conditioner and a room fridge was bonus as was the heated pool. Lots of maps and brochures for tourists.

I feel that the rooms were decent size but a bit dirty and need to be cleaned more thoroughly and maintained better for guests. It is nice that breakfast was included but they should offer guests a choice of different breakfast options, all the plates served were mainly breads and croissants, lacking protein, so it wasn’t very filling. Overall it was an alright experience.

Good parking. Inside the house is tastefully decorated with antique furniture, period colors and interesting items. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed, warm comfortable bed. The shower was great. No noise heard at all throughout the entire evening and night even though the B&B was full. The house is in walking distance to restaurants and the downtown area for shopping and to the lake. The breakfast we were served in the morning was amazing, every bite was delicious with home made jams, pâté, bread, and gorgeous fresh fruits, farm fresh meat and egg - the breakfast alone was worth the stay. The hosts are very pleasant and friendly and bilingual. Thank you for a lovely stay!
