- Tim (10/5): - Great place to stay, beautiful accomodations.
- David (10/5): - We stayed in the Birch Cabin, fully modern but charming. It was great fun.
It is 2-3 miles from Talkeetna proper so I would recommend this place if you have a car.
- Julie (10/5): - Beautiful cabin. Very peaceful and quiet. Well stocked and maintained. Definitely will visit again!
- Nicholas (10/5): - Great property!
- Zack (10/5): - Great communication from the owners. The chalet is very nice, and cozy. We would absolutely stay here again! Also conveniently close to a bunch of cool shops and restaurants in Talkeetna.
- Wilton (10/5): - Terrific home & chalet and the owners were so helpful!
- Casey (10/5): - I was so happy and impressed that the proprietor was so flexible in helping us change dates and ultimately upgraded us to a private cabin! It was so nice and private. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
- Genevieve (10/5): - Cozy and clean- all the little details provided.
- Ralph (10/5): - The owners were extremely nice and met all our needs. Room was excellent.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great nights sleep. Beautiful room quiet and pristine
- Jesse (6/5): - Walls are thin so I could hear folks in the other room late into the night and early in the morning. It wasn't that big of a deal. Streaming services crashed a few times. Again, no big deal. It was clean, shower was hot, they had great snelling soap, and the bed and pillows were awesome.
- Anne (10/5): - Beautiful setting. Short drive from town.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Cute, clean, and quiet, with a beautiful view.
- Kristin (10/5): - Fantastic one night stay in the Denali suite, wish I could have stayed longer. The bed was extremely comfortable, softest sheets, fluffy pillows. A lot of love goes into this property and it shows. Thank you Twila!
- Janet (10/5): - Pretty, quiet, clean. Very nice.
- Pradeep (1/5): Could not stay at this remote property , Talkeetna Chalet we a complete disaster - Talkeetna Chalet was a ‘Disaster’. We went all the way from Dubai to Talkeetna Railway station. There was absolutely No taxi to reach the remote property. Talked several times to the owner. Owner was very adamant , un helpful and totally uncooperative. We just could not reach the remote property !!!! Very sad Property is in a remote place. There was no taxi in Talkeetna town to reach the property. Owner never helped.
We just could not stay at the property. Asked the owner to refund…She said she can refund only 50USD and is asking for my bank account etc , which I cannot give.
Asked her refund my full amount via Booking.com thru which I always book all my stay world over.
Requesting Booking.com to arrange full refund of my amount paid to stay ( which I never stayed) Also requesting booking.com to Black List this Talkeetna Chalet property.
- Bruce (10/5): - loved the area, the rental was cozy and clean, very comfortable and near Talkeetna.
Owners were very friendly and helpful with area recommendations.
- Rachel (10/5): - Loved it! The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The room was adorable and comfortable. Just a few minutes away from everything. Will absolutely be back!
- Kevin (10/5): Beautiful lodge in the woods - Excellent lodging, nestled in the woods, just a few minutes from Talkeetna. Very quiet location. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. The place was in top condition and kept spotlessly clean.
We would definitely go back if we returned to the area!
- Harold (10/5): - Quiet, nice.
- Daniel (10/5): - Super great quite place
Would stay again for sure!
Never seen any staff, but all was in order.
Thanks
- Gil (10/5): - The owners are wonderful people. They rented us their KIA so we could use it to get to town and at such a reasonable price. Then, they even gave us a ride to the railroad station. Great experience, and we definitely recommend it.
- emily (6/5): - The room was nice and cozy, but the most important thing to us was a nice comfortable bed, we were very disappointed, the mattress was very uncomfortable and bed size only full too small for two adults . We were expecting at at least a queen side bed. I couldn’t sleep because I was afraid to fall off the bed. Every time we turned, the mattress moved. The bed situation, made me took off two stars
- Wei (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay in the cozy, quiet, and clean Denali room. The bed is firm and comfortable; we nearly overslept😊. The host is really nice, warm and helpful. We had great chat next morning. Absolutely highly recommended!
- Robin (10/5): - This property was a little gem in the woods. I would definitely stay here again.
- Gerardo (10/5): - The property is great I’ll definitely book it again in the future.
- Adrienne (10/5): Charming chalet : Two thumbs up - Loved this super cute room and the chalet owners are so helpful and friendly! This is a great location if you’re spending time in Talkeetna.
- Megan (10/5): - Such a quiet cute location! So clean and cozy. Little touches that made the place welcoming.
- Jon (10/5): - Rooms are a little small but very friendly folks and very. Nice
- Tiffany (6/5): Nice location, but uncomfortable stay - We wanted to love this property, based on the pictures and location, but it was not a comfortable stay. The shower is quite small, at 5’4” my elbows were hitting the sides as I washed my hair. There’s also a very low ceiling over the sink. Anyone of average height will likely need to be very careful not to hit their head. Also as a terrace level bedroom you can hear the footsteps above, the bed squeaks when you roll over and the pull down shade over the door isn’t light blocking. As many reviewers noted, the banana nut bread is a nice welcoming touch, but it doesn’t make up for the other issues that make this an uncomfortable stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful site, on a hill so gets sun when other locations might not. Nice new owners. Wd choose lighter room or a cabin next time. A little outside of town, but not a problem. Very clean!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was about 7 minutes from town and had 24/7 video surveillance.
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful stay - Cute cabin in a great location. Had everything we needed. Would definitely come back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, private, friendly and accommodating lovely owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Felt like home. Very clean and hosts were amazing.
- Jeff (10/5): - Very nice owners! They also put a fresh baked loaf of banana bread in the room. Excellent touch and excellent bread!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Secluded cabins short drive to town - Great, comfortable cabin close to the town of Talkeetna but secluded in the woods. We were late checking in but they clearly communicated how to get to our cabin so we had no issues.
- CAROLYN (8/5): Talkeetna - Enjoyed getting acquainted with this area of Alaska
- Nancy (10/5): - The peace of the setting: in the preparation that was in our little cabin :very nicely appointed
- Vanessa (10/5): - This was the cutest place and so relaxing!! It was a perfect stop on our way to Fairbanks!! Awesome host and everything you need and more with cute little touches! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Would definitely stay here again.
- jennifer (10/5): - Our stay here was amazing. The cabins are adorable and
- Alexander (10/5): Great stay - My wife and I had a great stay here! We were arriving late so our host gave us a call with instructions regarding check in which was nice. The location had the heater running prior to arrival, so we had a very cozy entry. The freshly made cookies were a nice touch as well :-) Would stay again.
- Jessica (10/5): Relaxing in Talkeetna - We stayed at two of the cabins. Both were very clean and well maintained. Check In was smooth and the location was quite peaceful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the cleanliness, the decor, and the way we were nestled in the woods. The homemade banana bread was a great touch too. The kitchenette was surprisingly well stocked.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Little gift of banana bread was delicious! Very nice room. Great place for quiet and rest.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location and property was very good! The room was cozy and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay in the willow cabin. Clean and ready for a family stay. We would absolutely travel to Stay here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Meticulously cleaned and maintained property -- delicious gift of banana bread -- nicer than other lodges I have stayed in that were more than twice the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convieniently located, yet off the main road which is nice. Everything was outstanding. Im sure we'll be back if we can luck out a get a room again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Set in the woods far away from the main road this is a quiet cozy cabin. Very clean and nicely decorated. WiFi and DirecTV.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was very happy with everything, was able to keep my bags at place until my next lodging was avalible. Will stay again this summer.
- John (10/5): - Literally the best check in i’ve ever had, beautiful property, very clean and updated. Even a welcome gift of fresh bread..
- Kathleen (10/5): Cozy wilderness retreat - We enjoyed our 3 day stay. Suite was spacious and very comfortable with nice charming décor. The common room was nicely decorated as well and always had coffee and cookies available. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if in area - would consider one of the cabins next time!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very peaceful, beautiful setting. You are making me mad, that you need more characters
- Lynn (8/5): - Charming cabin in the woods but close to the city and really helpful host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely! - We stayed in cabin 2. It was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and had great bedding. Towels were great. Cabin was beautifully done and it’s in a lovely setting. We loved our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A nice respit - Quaint little town between Denali and Anchorage/Seward...a nice respite...great place to stay for an evening!!
- Susan (10/5): Quiet, spacious cabin inTalkeetna - Great spot to stay in en route to Denali from Anchorage - close to town but super quiet, spacious and clean and newish cabin, nice hosts
- Auntess (10/5): Comfortable and private home close to Talkeetna - Our hosts were welcoming and gracious, even when we had a power outage for an hour when we first arrived. The room was very comfortable with 2 sitting chairs and quality mattress and linens. The bath had a spa tub and separate shower. We needed to leave quite early in the AM for a fishing outing, but there was a common room with a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea set up so we could grab a quick breakfast without waking other guests.
- Gail (8/5): Comfy cabin, fun owners - I would give this property 5 stars if the wifi had been working. It's a small cabin set in the woods with 2 other cabins. Perfect for a couple. Talkeetna is a 5-10 min drive and this cabin allows you to escape the crowds. Shower is good and furnishings are lovely. We even saw a fox trot in front of the cabin one morning. The owners are charming and provided helpful advice about places to eat.
- BeckyTorrey (10/5): - The owners Andi and Dave were very nice and welcoming! Loved the room.
- Kellsbells (10/5): - My one and only issue would be that we didn't get to see the neighborhood moose that we were warned wanders the property, lol! Owner hostess is super sweet, a transplant from Texas.
Our Denali suite was gorgeous and the Jacuzzi tub was perfect after our hiking of the park. Thank you so much for your hospitality and stay that was fabulous to say the least.
- Charu (10/5): Hillside Paradise - Home away from home. Neat and clean with an excellent spa. Andy and Dave were superb hosts and went above and beyond. Highly reccomended.
- Tim (10/5): - Excellent property, quiet and comfortable, but convient and close to town...
- Cindy (10/5): - We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean. There was a nice covered barbeque area by the river. Flowers everywhere.
- cindy (10/5): Very nice cabin - Amazing place to stay. You are staying in a new cabin out in the woods. There are cabins near and the owner is just right up the hill. Close drive to Talkeetna.
- Donna (10/5): Pictures don't do it justice - Willow Cabin is practically brand new. Great location but not very close to Denali (2.5 hours) but the town of Talkeetna is quite pleasant. Great river area and distant view of Denali. The staff was really helpful and quick to respond to questions. Wifi was not very good for us and the cabin didn't have some minor items (like bring your own cookie sheet, foil, etc...) because the grocery store was not closeby, I think about 20 min + out. Also if you have a problem with a really soft mattress (heavy pillowtop), you may want to sleep up the loft.
- Alberto (10/5): Excellent Stay on the way to Denali - Excellent place half way from Anchorage to Denali.
Cabin was well taken care of, very well designed and decorated.
A perfect place for a family stay in Talkeetna on our way to Denali.
Owner was very nice and helpful during our stay. Fully recommend.
- Susan (10/5): - beautiful cabin!
- Melisa (10/5): - Amazing little cabins that I would definitely recommend and would love to go back!
- Jim (10/5): Quiet time in a wooded B&B. - Lovely setting, clean and pleasant B&B. We stayed two nights and could have remained longer. If you like Alaskan beauty and adventure, this location may be a real delight for you.
- Bethany (10/5): Lovely b & b - Lovely b&b; very clean and comfortable! Would absolutely stay here again.
- Sue (10/5): Gorgeous b & b secluded on edge of forest. - We loved our stay @ this beautiful, secluded B&B on edge of forest. Host gave great hospitality--full hot breakfast too. Enjoyed interacting w other guests.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and Convenient - Spacious and well-appointed within two miles of Talkeetna. Friendly and very helpful staff. The food was delicious. Willing to pick me up from and drop me off at local spots.
- Jeff (10/5): Excellent experience - It's a wonderful house with amazing views, just a couple of miles from downtown.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great place, bad bed! - This b&b would have been perfect if only the bed wasn't creaky, lumpy, saggy and overall completely uncomfortable. I would expect a good mattress at a BED&breakfast. Very little sleep was gotten in an otherwise lovely cabin.
- Mary (10/5): - Only stayed one night, but wish we could had stayed longer.
- Angela (10/5): A&K - Wonderful bed and breakfast. Owners are very welcoming. Extras much appreciated including homemade cookies and fruit and hot drinks available throughout our stay. Also able to stay and enjoy this beautiful home after a great hot breakfast before heading off on our 5 hour drive back to Fairbanks.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet place
View of denai
Would love to visit again
- Steve (10/5): Stunning view everywhere you look - We drove past the area on accident and thought we might have been lost, but it's in a beautiful wooded area that when the skies are clear you can see some beautiful peaks from Denali. Plus, it's about 3 miles from Talkeetna where you can get some good food and meet a Mayor Stubbs(google). 10/10 would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great B and B! Dave was great and helpful with our stay in Talkeetna.
