• Fredrica (10/5): - Very nice and unique Bed and Breakfast. The driveway is rather steep going up the mountain. Once on top this opens into such a charming and peaceful place. Lots of trees and flowers, but very naturally landscaped. The room was very quiet and comfortable even without a TV. I used the WiFi for my Prime Videos and that worked perfectly.

• Tilico (10/5): Our stay was great and the fishing was wonderful - The breakfast was superb and very friendly staff. Our room was clean and nice, also very private. I was concerned with the steep roads but had no trouble at all. My son spent a lot of time in the pool.
• Petrova (10/5): Best Getaway in Nosara - What a wonderful Gem! I was so happy there and it was so nice and quiet. Last time to Nosara we stayed by the beach and it was so noisy and dusty! This was just the opposite, quiet and fresh. We will be back.

This place was recommended to me by an accountant who stays there regularly. The breakfast was great, the pool was nice and cool. I enjoyed my room and very unique bathroom. I had great WiFi and was able to get a lot of work done sitting by the pool.

Just lovely. - I really enjoy the fact you feel like you are in the jungle but actually only minutes away from everything, I.e. beaches, restaurants, zip line, etc. The place is so tranquil. Frankly , I throughly enjoyed my stay at Nosara Sunrise BnB. One of the best places I stayed during my travels around Costa Rica.

Freundlich geht anders. - wildromantisch, unkomplizierter Check-in mit Code für’s Zimmer vorab, urtypisch vom Wald umgeben, leckeres Frühstück frisch zubereitet, bequeme Betten, Regale zur Ablage, Steckdosen, schnelles Internet, mit dem Auto (am besten Allrad) sind die Strände ringsum erreichbar. Nie wieder! Ankunft enttäuschend: wozu die Rezeption? B&Bs leben eigentlich von herzlicher Atmosphäre (auch im Dschungel), hier nur unpersönlich. Eine Antwort auf kritische Fragen kam von einer Person ohne Namen barsch und vorwurfsvoll beleidigend. Auffahrt in die Sackgasse über Schotterstraße, sehr steiler Hügel (dazu keine Angabe). Entgegen aller einladenden Fotos wenig Platz ums Haus, Rückseite zum Hang, keine Sonne am Nachmittag. „Pool“ vergleichbar mit einem Kneipp-Becken. Zimmergröße 16qm plus Bad 6qm, nicht wie beschrieben 50qm. Trennwand zum Bad nach oben offen. Keine Reinigung in 5 Tagen. Frische Handtücher auf Anfrage. Keine Sitzmöglichkeit im Zimmer. Wohin sollte eigentlich der Müll aus unserem Zimmer? Wo war die Wellnesslounge? WLAN Information fehlerhaft angezeigt (soll NOSARA SUNRISE BB heißen). Checkout time angekündigt bis 11:00 Uhr. Am Morgen der Abreise kommt eine Nachricht, man solle um 10:30 Uhr das Zimmer verlassen. Mein Mann und ich sind reiseerfahren und wissen, dass Fotos auf Buchungsplattformen nett frisiert sein können. Bilder und Beschreibung hier sind irreführend. Allen künftigen Nutzern der Hinweis: lest sorgfältig alle Bewertungen. Für vier Nächte sehr spartanisch. Es gibt vergleichbare Unterkünfte mit mehr Freude am Aufenthalt.

Le petit déjeuner faiblement rationné, le manque d'un micro onde, bouilloire, disposition de café et thé en journée... Pas pratique pour ceux qui ne veulent pas manger au restaurant ! Aucune personne dans l'hôtel en journée en cas de besoin...
• Maria (2/5): Stor besvikelse och fruktansvärt obehaglig upplevelse med hundarna.Skulle inte rekommendera detta till någon! - Det negativa övervägde så har inte mycket positivt att säga. Gullig städerska Cindy som gjorde sitt bästa. Om du inte har en fyrdjulsdriven bil 4x4 är det knappt så att man kommer upp för backen. Mycket brant och otillgängligt läge. Det första du möts när du ska försöka ta dig upp för backen är 3 stora aggressiva hundar som kastar dig mot din bil och är fruktansvärt skrämmande. Du kan glömma att ta en promenad för då hade väl hundarna slitit dig i bitar. Detta är första huset när man vänder till hotellet, kanske är de ägarna till Nosara? Närmsta stranden playa Pelada hade man kunnat promenera till ca 15-20min men nu vågade vi inte pga hundarna som blockerade vägen. Väl uppe på komplexet möts man om du har tur städerskan/ köksan.Men hon kan inte ett ord engelska och är ju där för att laga frukost och städ. Annars finns ingen att prata med eller fråga om. Om du kommer senare på dan/ kvällen är det själv check in med nyckelskåp. Frukosten är samma varje morgon dock god äggröra, frukt och rostad brödskiva. Polen är ett skämt, hade aldrig badat i den då den var smutsig och som en liten tvålkopp.

Someone need to welcome and say goodbye be there personally etc. The ladies that work there only in the morning ing are just offering basic breakfast and there is no one there the rest of the day… there is only WhatsApp communication with someone in charge. You can see that there is so much potential but it’s really ran down. Also we had bad experience with mice in our patio room, they even came in our bed at night. Luckily they could move us the next day to another rooms … didn’t sleep well after this. The pool also needs to be cleaned .

• Patrick (8/5): - Der Sonnenaufgang. Eine sehr unpersönliche Lodge. Das Geld wird am Anreisetag von der Kreditkarte abgebucht. Dann bekommt man eine Nachricht per WhatsApp, wo der Code für das Türschloss, Zimmer Nummer, Frühstück Zeit mitgeteilt wird. Für das Frühstück kam eine nette Tico Frau mit Sohn auf dem Motorrad angefahren. Die haben in ein Kammer wo Farbeimer und Putzmittel standen uns ein leckeres Frühstück zubereitet.

• Bret (7/5): This place has a ton of potential but needs a lot of work. - This is an affordable option and the breakfast was nice. We stayed in the room with a king bed and bathtub. The bed was incredible comfortable. The breakfast was good and they gave us fresh fruit and eggs and rice and beans and coffee and tea. Bathtub was musty with visible black mold and dirt and dead bugs in the bottom of the tub. The WiFi didn't work and despite the staff trying it was not working for our stay and we were told "it comes and goes" which was unfortunate. The pool is tiny and not well maintained, was very dirty so we did not want to use it.

Cindy the manager was the only person there during our stay and she was really nice and helped us with everything we needed Breakfast could’ve had a little more variety, also I poured my self a cup of coffee and took it to my room for later in the day and when I got back someone had entered my room without permission and taken the mug. This left me with a weird taste of mouth

• Lin (8/5): Peaceful overnight stay in Nosara - Such a tranquil spot to stay, up amongst the treetops. A 7 minute tuk tuk journey to the airport or the main strip. Excellent breakfast. Tricky to reach without transport, especially if you have luggage…some taxis refused to climb the unmade hill.

Wish the pool was a little nicer. It would have been nice to have a heads up about the hill, this made it hard for transportation.

The room was comfortable, spacious, had a great bathroom and almost private balcony with hammock, perfect for bat and bird watching. We didn't have a car and the place was located up a very steep hill, some distance from Nosara town centre and restaurants. Communication was largely done through what's app so we barely saw anyone to explain about the facilities.

• Janet (8/5): Out of town location but walkable( dusty tracks ) to near beach about 15 mins. I didn’t have transport but Tuk tuks wer - Quiet location , immersed in Jungle.The breakfast was delicious & well presented by helpful ladies. Take a travel plug , no headboard on bed .

• Laura (1/5): AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS - DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst hotel in CR. Our toilet was broken, no soap or water, 3 wasps nests on our bungalow, a murky dirty pool, crazy steep driveway that's hard to navigate in the dark, no receptionist and no staff at all present on site except for at 2pm for a brief check in window  -- and worst of all the DOG BITES and the owners couldn't care less. When their dog bit our three year old (bruising and breaking her skin), the dog/hotel owner never once apologized for the unprovoked bite. Once at the hospital we were instructed to ask the hotel/dog owner to confirm with the owner that the dog had had a rabies/tetanus vaccination as the bite had broken her skin. The hotel/dog owner ignored a dozen text messages and five calls about this which is super suspicious that the dog has never been vaccinated or they are outdated which means that if biten to the point it breaks skin and bleeds that you will have to get post exposure tetanus/rabies injections. The hotel/dog owner never even responded or apologized. Classic rude, absentee America owner who couldn't care less and is just profiting off your stay and neglecting the property and it's guests. Take our advice and spend a little extra for a safe play to stay with kinder, present hosts.
• Dandan (4/5): A great place for those who don't mind self-service, bare amenities, and steep 4wd roads. - The location is great. You feel secluded in nature, but you're close to Nosara. Breakfast is good. It's a very self-service kind of experience. There's no staff on-site except for breakfast. There's bare minimum amenities. The beds are quite threadbare. It seems like it declined from the time the photos were taken. The road up is steep and requires a 4wd, so make note of that!
• Leaann (10/5): I would highly recommend Nosara Sunrise! It was clean and spacious with a great breakfast! - This was a beautiful fun place to stay! We got our room entry number prior to arrival and were able to get into our room immediately! The room was spacious and clean! This was a very quiet hotel with a lovely pool for dipping in after a hot day or early morning swim! The ladies serving breakfast were always welcoming and mad a delicious breakfast! Our main way to travel were by tuk-tuks. Love them!! They go everywhere for a very economical price. Our main driver was Erling! He was fantastic-always on time and, if he wasn't available he would send someone else! The manager, CoCo, was quick to respond and was helpful! The wi-fi in our room was not always working. However, if you went by the pool, it was a very strong signal!

• Ken (1/5): Extremely disappointing! Toilets poorly maintained, malfunctioned and leaked. No hot water. - The hotel was surrounded by dense forest. As a result we saw several animals, howler monkeys, coati, and iguanas. We were able to take several, close-up pictures. The toilet overflowed the first night and flooded our room. We were moved to a cabin and discovered in the middle of the second night the toilet seal leaked. Gross, a feces foot wash! Worse my wife said when she complained about the toilet not flushing, the maid turned the water on. One only turns the water to the toilet off, if there is a problem with the toilet. So they knew it leaked. Worse yet, they sent an email to me later during our vacation, blaming us for the problems at their hotel. I cancelled my credit card because they indicated they might charge my card for any damages.

• Philippe (8/5): Great value for money - Nice and quiet location, clean and spacious. Communication with staff was bad, (which was great during my previous stay) I did not get any reply on questions I asked on whatsapp or through booking.com messages. Ended up not meeting anyone for checkin or checkout, which is fine as you can enter the room with a code, but not if you have any questions. Breakfast or at least a coffee could be earlier for early surfers.
• Scott (7/5): Good value - Nice view , clean , very quiet. The breakfast was very good It's nice to have a person on arrival however it was seamless. A 4x4 should be recommended for the puddles crossing on the road to hotel. Bedsheets were clean but stained and bed had bugs that gave bites
• Thomas (9/5): Superb - I really liked the uncomplicated check in at any time by receiving an individual access code. I also liked the surrounding rain forest with a nice forest walk nearby (don't forget the bug spray). Also the pool is nice. Small, but in good condition. Daily cleaned and in our case perfect for watching some monkeys which showed up on a daily base. The rooms were simple and clean. We had a room with a hammock in front which was nice. You could tell that the place is taken care of. TIP: Arriving by car includes going up the steep hill with two curves. We hesitated at first because we did not know if it is the right way, but it was. The road towards the B&B was in a bad condition due to rainy season. With mud pools, no option to walk by foot. Should be better in dry season although still quite a walk to the beach.
