(Appeared to be harder for older guests to navigate.) Dining options were limited to only Charlie's Alpine Bistro, where the food was really good but slow service, as they appeard to be short-staffed. However, we would stay here again, as prices were affordable and they also have dog-friendly rooms.

- Va (8/5): - Everything was great except the exterior door handle on the back deck was broken. It came off when I did a room check after check in. I called the lobby to get this fixed. First time (night of check in), I left a message. I got no call back, so I then called the next day and spoke with the EE on duty, no maintenance was done after the EE said that a maintenance tech will be sent out. Therefore, this left me feeling a bit anxious of whether I will have to pay for the damage that I was not responsible for or not. Thankfully I wasn't charged for this. There was also a payment discrepancy between what I paid for on Expedia and what I was charged for from the resort. I was charged significantly more on Expedia than what was charged from the resort, which I already paid the higher amount. This led me to feel very dissatisfied from the booking with Expedia.

- Audrey (10/5): Lovely two night stay - Clean room. Registration staff have good recommendations for easy, interesting hiking & dining options. Out room had a mountain view close to the Gondola. Their restaurant, Charlie's, was impressive! Excellent service, excellent food, modern elegance, & live music. The only concern was upon returning to our room in the dark, even thou we had pulled our shade, we could see everything in our room through the sun shade. So, we felt it best to either dress in the dark or in the bathroom.

All the chalets were on one side and the office was further up the road on the opposite side of the street. Tried calling to get directions but no one answered and we received voicemail. Found the office. One person inside chatting with another staff member.
- Brieana K (10/5): - Lutsen Mountains has everything you could ever want in a ski resort, whether it's winter or summer. In the summer they have the alpine slide and the beautiful gondola ride. Only a 20 minute drive from Grand Marais. Condo we rented was spacious, had a fully stocked kitchen, and a very comfortable bed. Only think of note is that it's very easy for two people to spend over 100 dollars at Charlie's but the food was very good.

Our son had room next to us, used his. What would I have done if he wasn’t there to use his room? Not offered a new room or any type of compensation. Front desk & maintenance did apologize, but that didn’t solve the problem.
- YULIA (10/5): - We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless and felt so cozy, especially with the fireplace adding the perfect touch after a day of exploring. The view from our room was absolutely amazing—waking up to those mountain scenes was unforgettable. We also loved how convenient the location was; it was just a short, easy walk to both the restaurant and the alpine slide, which made everything so relaxing and fun. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a great location!
- Megan (10/5): - My family stayed at Eagle Ridge Resort while in MN for vacation and we had the best experience!! Everyone we encountered from hotel staff to gift shop staff was friendly and inviting. This is a fantastic spot to stay with beautiful views of the Minnesota Northwoods. We hope to be back soon!

- Craig (4/5): - The property is located in a ski resort and has great views of the surrounding hills. We visited in September, so not a time of year when it is busy. It is convenient to Grand Marais, trails, and area parks and waterfalls. A new restaurant is located on the property. Building “A” where our room was located faces towards the ski slope, and had a great view. That is about all that was good about this property. The nightly room rate is quite high, and you expect the property to be in good condition when paying a premium price. Wrong. The interior is dated with older “motel” furniture and dirty carpeting. We could hear every foot step above us. There were deep gouges in the paint in places, the bathroom was extremely small and the door wouldn’t close tightly. And, the towel bar fell off the wall after putting a towel on it. The staff were good to deal with, but given the condition of the room, generous at 2 stars.

- William (2/5): - We had poor internet reception, couldnt even watch tv. We had no room service the entire week we were there. The toilet wobbled each time we sat or stood up, and one of the lamps would flicker off and on. At Charlies we both had the house burger, ordered it medium and it was fully cooked, the pickle was so soggy it sagged and the tomatoes on the salad were so over ripe the were tasteless and mushyn as if they had been in the refrigerator two days too long. The cucumber slices on the salad had soft spots on them. Between the poor service and the the terrible food we would hesitate to stay there again. We actually found better service and food next door at the hotel at Moguls.
- Trisha (10/5): - The staff were very friendly. We entered the office and were greeted with smiling faces. They answered all of our questions, provided us with clear instructions, a map for navigating the resort, then wished us a happy weekend. Walking into our room, we noticed how clean and well maintained it is. The best part is walking through the kitchen and seeing the porch that overlooks the mountain. The beds fit the four of us who stayed and were a comfortable firm quality. They provided us with ample towels, dishes, cookware, silverware, glasses, dish soap and dish washing tablets for the dishwasher. The facilities that we used were easily accessible and maintained the same standard that we saw with our room. The areas around were free of anything unsightly and appeared to be very well maintained. The views going up the mountain, driving down, and walking around all make the trip worth it alone but, the standards here are top notch and made our stay more relaxing and enjoyable.

- Allison (10/5): Wonderful place to stay in Lutsen - Our whole family loved our stay at Eagle Ridge in Lutsen. Our condo had a king size bed in a separate bedroom. The bathroom was VERY spacious with 2 sinks. The kitchen had a standard fridge/freezer combo which was so helpful to help keep the costs reasonable on our trip. The kitchen was also stocked with the basics- pots and pans, dish soap, a sponge, some plates and silverware, a toaster, a coffeepot, etc. It was enough for what we needed to prepare. The kitchen had a little island with 3 tall bar stools so we had to improvise a little for our family of 5. The kitchen was connected to the living room which had a small desk and desk chair, a wooden coffee table, and a comfy couch which turned into a queen sized bed as well as a double sized Murphy bed. This was perfect for our three kids (ages 16, 13, and 10), The small deck had 3 metal chairs and a small table to enjoy the view of the trees. We did get to visit the pool and hot tub one night and the outdoor location was so picturesque. The pool was a nice mild temperature and the spacious hot tub was the perfect temperature. We had two small maintenance requests that were dealt with immediately. We rode the gondola which was fun. Unfortunately the day we were there it was off and on rainy so though we bought tickets for the alpine slide, we never had a rain-free window to use them. We got a rain check that is good for a year but we live too far away to come back for the slide. That was the only bummer of our trip.

- Joan (6/5): - The walk down to our room was very worn, gravel and uneven. Also no lighting at night on the walk way. The sauna was not working and had a very strong odor - could have been leaking gas. This was reported to staff but smelled the same the next day. Ran out of clean towels in the pool area. Not much staff around. Seems like they are trying to clean and fix the place up. Could be better in the coming weeks

- Alicia (10/5): - Our family of four stayed for 4 nights. Our unit was clean, staff were nice and helpful. We loved hiking the trails at the nearby state parks. We enjoyed stargazing on our patio in the evenings. The pool and hot tub were also great! Our unit was quiet, so we had no trouble getting rest after long days outside.

- Nathan (8/5): - The room was great. But the toilet in the bathroom was a little loose. It’s a minor complaint. Beautiful view. The on site restaurant was good but it too over an hour for us to get our food. That was the most frustrating part of the trip.
